Mozilla Firefox has started sharing and selling your data and has now implemented a terms of service.

TL;DR: Mozilla has done the following to Firefox (edit)

They removed from their FAQ a statement that they'd never sell or collect your data. (So much for "never")

For the first time ever, they added a Terms of Use for Firefox which includes the ability to bar you from using Firefox for any reason by adding a Termination clause to their new Terms of Use.

Mozilla claims that there they're changing the language of 'selling of data' to avoid potential lawsuits due to "the broad and vague language of 'data selling'"; which could legitimately be true.

Alternatives

If you want a good alternative that doesn't do that, try out LibreWolf, a more private fork of Firefox, or LadyBird, which doesn't include clode from other browser.

You may:

Post gameplay videos and screenshots as long as they adhere to the other guidelines.

Post comments and opinions about the game and your experience with it.

Upload videos of the game for personal use (no repercussions if you earn advertising revenue indirectly.)

Share content about the game's stories, but please mark as spoilers/ネタバレあり.

You may not:

Upload full Piece Stories (posting 1-4 screenshots that don't show the whole story is okay).

Upload videos and images from live viewing mode (uploading the MVs during rhythm gameplay with the beatmap on top is okay).

Terms of use + SSO conversions

This topic needs to be talked about since people are having a hard time understanding what that actually means and how it relates to the custom content in all sims games. Multiple creators do retexture and convert, that is 100% allowed. You are not forced to follow people’s tou. “That is out of respect that you follow it” sure but it’s not a rule, it’s a choice. You cannot, I repeat cannot tell people they can’t edit, share, modify or upload content, then you as a creator, will be breaking the games tou. You do not have the power over people over video game assets. It is ridiculous that entire community of creators who know this before starting to create, that this is what we are dealing with and still cry over the fact that other people are actually not doing anything wrong. This is what scares new people, and previous members away from getting into communities, especially the equestrian part of sims. This is about the whole community of creators. It doesn’t matter what you do, you cannot win with some people. Many creators don’t look at the rules for modifying assets to the game, no one is forcing anyone to create or modify files for the sims, literally no one. If you can’t follow the game rules, then quit creating. It is that simple. None of the assets, you create or edit is your property, since it is linked to the game. Which means you would never be able to modify anything without their assets as a base, therefore none of the stuff you create is yours, and that also means that whatever tou you create, is a choice for users to follow. This needs to be addressed since I am kinda tired of people spreading misinformation, threatening personally and ruining something we all should be enjoying. I want to, for my personal sake, debunk rumors that has come to my attention from other people. No, I am not in other equestrian servers on discord except for my own. I got banned for stating my opinion and frankly I don’t have the energy or the desire to create alt accounts to look at peoples drama, it’s not worth it. I have friends who have been active parts of these communities who share files with me, which is less stressful for me. People ask me to convert, and I do it because I enjoy to do it, it helps me mentally. I do not have the time to “steal” creations (stealing is said very lighty since none of the cc is owned by the creators) files. I am very busy irl and use sims as a free space when I have time. Yes it is true, that me and a couple creators (3-4 others) have special permission from Sugars Legacy Stables to convert their stuff into the game for others to enjoy - no they didn’t take back the permission as some people say. They have been a friend of mine since the sims 3 and still are till this day. I only know what happens in other communities because I have friends who actually are mature enough to see this as it is - a freaking video game. All the bullying, harassment, backstabbing and lies is just plain wrong for video game assets. None of us can change the game rules, but we can make it more enjoyable by accepting that that’s how it is, and focus on our game as much as possible. DMCA threats are hilarious, since doing that means that you have the rights to the asset, it is not your property and will never be. Don’t believe in everything you see or hear online, go straight to the source.

I will continue as always, give credit to creators to the conversions, which is more than fair and brings people back to their original content (free advertisement) just because some creators are petty doesn’t mean we need to follow them. We are multiple creators who convert content, I am not the only one. None of us claim creations as stated. For us to give credit, we need to have somewhere to link (website perhaps) - those who I do not credit, are disrespectful creators who have done nothing but shown their true colors to the community and been absolutely terrible

SSO CONVERSIONS ARE NOT ALLOWED BY EA AND SSO. Just for anyone who wants to try it, SSO is going to fine you for stealing (yes I said stealing) their meshes. Its not allowed to convert them into sims. EA doesn’t allow it as well, so you might end up in legal trouble if someone reports you. EA doesn’t allow other games meshes to be converted into their game, also SSO doesn’t want people stealing their meshes into other games, just a heads up. Dont do it its not worth it getting it on your record.

The whole "CC is a luxury" thing was...yikes.

Second Life's community is an entire different world of creators encouraged by its marketplace.

Sims is not. While Sims has had some sites trying to do that, it is by far not the standard and not endorsed by Maxis (breaks their rules).

There are more egregious cc creators than others of course, but for the most part cc creators do this as a hobby and sometimes can make some side cash from it through Early-Access, commissions, EA's partner program or other means. But this isn't a business first community. As it's been since the 2000s.

But at the end of the day there will always be another creator who can fill your spot if you take advantage of people.

Credit and notification are required when people repost my images or use my images directly in their new work (like a photo manipulation).

Credit to me is always optional for referencing! If you're just looking at my reference and drawing a picture on your own from it then feel free to tag me if you want! But it's not required. ♥ I do like to see the art and I do occasionally reshare. In this case it would be optional since you're looking at my image and drawing a new thing from it. ♥

Introduction

Hello everyone! I am thatlazytabby/TLT, or more commonly known as Tabby. I am a horse creator and custom content/pose maker. I'm probably most recognized outside of Discord for my poses and custom content, as I don't post my game screenshots to my other socials (Tumblr and Instagram) much. I currently run four Sims stables, which are Saint Merlowe Stables; SM (Baroques/Iberians), Heimra Farm; HEF (Thoroughbreds/Standardbreds), Gestüt Gutstein; G (Kustanais/Warmbloods), and Old Creek Ranch; OCR (Quarter Horses). My Terms of Use/Service are listed below for my animals and custom content/poses:

Not allowed: -Removing my prefixes/suffixes and/or adding your own. -Removing any branding of mine and/or adding your own. -Changing the coat or markings in any way. -Using coat lengths overlays, excluding clip patterns and snow/dirt/mud overlays. -Changing the conformation without permission from myself. -Changing the breed. -Changing the gender beyond gelding. -Changing the hair color significantly (keep it within the original shade range, if anything more drastic is required I must give permission. -Change the eye color without permission -Redistribute the files in any form including sfs, the gallery, Patreon, ect. -Resell the horse without permission, I will buy the horse back with the original server currency or take it back. -Claim the horse as you're own creation -Use my coats or markings as a base. -Change the hoof/nose color/swatch, most of my horses will be on one of these. Exceptions will apply if the hoof/nose colors/swatches include a clip pattern I have made for the horse. -Put nose/hoof swatches on a template. -Do not upscale my horses, if a horse needs an update/upscale I will do this myself. -Using my horses' coats/markings as inspiration for sims horses or any other art/game (this includes games like Minecraft or Roblox) purposes. If you really like a horse I may be able to send you the real life horse inspiration. -Do not copy my coats for art/game (this includes games like Minecraft or Roblox) purposes or for sims horses, since this is a grey area (considering many of my horses are based off real horses) I will only enforce this for original coat ideas. -Co-owning is dependent on the horse, and can also be discussed after sales/before bidding, but is not guaranteed. -Leasing is dependent on the horse and who it will be leased to, this may be discussed via DM and may not be allowed for every horse.

Allowed: -Change the style of the mane, tail, or forelock. -Changing the name will depend on the horse, and my prefixes/suffixes of HEF (Thoroughbreds/Standardbreds), SM (Baroques/Iberians), G (Kustanais/Warmbloods), or OCR (Quarter Horses) must remain on the horse. -You may change the nickname/barn name as much as you wish. -Breed the horse(s) as long as all painting and markings are done by you or another party.

-Note: I don't care much for activity, if it has been over a year or more I may inquire about the horse/offer to take it back depending on circumstances.

-If my TOUs are broken I will reclaim the horse and refund you, and you will be blacklisted from all future sales of my horses, whether by me or other people reselling my animals. -If you are found to be engaging in excessive and deliberate rule breaking, racism, homophobia, ableism, sexism, harassment ect. I will take back an animal without any refund and you will be blacklisted from any sales by myself or others reselling my animals. -I will allow 24-48 hours for a response before this depending on what is broken. -I will not reclaim an animal made after a real life pet. A direct discord message will get you the quickest response from me. -Certain animals may have differing Terms of Use/Service and will be clarified in sales post, you will also receive a notepad document with my TOU.

Photos: -Do not use my photos as references or inspiration for art/games (this includes games like Minecraft or Roblox) -Do not repost or take my photos without permission/credit Custom Content/Poses (thatlazytabby/TLT): -All of my content/poses will be under thatlazytabby or TLT. -Do not put my content/poses behind paywall (this includes early access and the little onetime purchase things on Koffi/Patreon) -Recoloring allowed, do not include the mesh. -My meshes/poses are not to be used as a base for your own meshes/poses. -Do not edit my meshes/poses. -Do not change and/or edit my thumbnails for my content/poses. -Do not edit my file/pose pack/content names and redistribute them under those edited names, I'm aware some people like to organize cc/poses by renaming some part of it.
