You hung up the phone on yet another councilman. Everyone from all over the world was calling to meet with the new king of New Asgard. Of course you being the amazing wife and secretary you are, you tried to limit these meetings down to the most important ones worthy of her time. You know if it isn't, she'll sit there in pure boredom questioning her life choices.

You held your head in your palms as you leaned over onto the wooden desk. It was scattered with different papers and actually, some parts of her amor. Just then the door to your office opened. Revealing the said king, in a suit with the first couple of buttons undone and the tie loosened. Her hair briaded neatly as usual. She slumped down on the couch you had.

"Problem, darling?" You asked tiredly.

She turned her head to meet you. "The usual. Stupid tourists, and their stupid questions." Her accent heavy as she emphasized 'stupid.' You chuckled. She sat up. "What's the matter?" She questioned.

"Oh you know, stupid councilman, stupid meetings. The usual." You mocked her words. "It's amazing how much people love you." You rubbed your forehead as you looked down the paperwork. Valkyrie hired you because you insisted in becoming her secretary. It meant more time with her and taking the weight off her shoulders. However, she hated how it made you stressed.

Her brows knitted together watching you fill out papers and type things into the computer. "You can leave now darling, I'll be fine." You spoke, not taking your eyes off the computer. She couldn't leave though. You didn't even hear her footsteps as she made her way to your desk, pulling your swivel chair from the edge.

"Val, what on earth?" She smirked as she kneeled down. Your eyes widened and your face ran hot. "You cannot, are you joking? People will see." You held your pencil skirt down and closed your legs. You only saw hunger and mischief in her eyes. "The people of New Asgard has probably heard you already, now it's just time for your coworkers to hear you." She stated.

She open your legs, your skirt already riding up. "I know you've been thinking about it all day." She raised the red fabric higher up your thighs. "I see the way you clench your thighs together whenever I come in." She wasn't wrong. You enjoyed seeing her in the suit, she looked sexy.

I know that everyone is pretty sure that the FF movie will mean that Johnny will now never be officialy let out of the closet but personally I feel like since the FF are so unpopular and ppl have been bugging Marvel and Disney for an actual canon & 'important' gay character that they may just? Use him? I'm absolutely losing it and its not going to happen (and if it does, good god, its going to be handled so badly) but imagine. Tho as long as they dont bring lyja in im ill count the movie as Ok

So I am going to go Full Conspiracy Theorist out here for a minute because when I and a couple others I personally know have been kind of saying “Johnny’s never coming out now” it refers to a very specific recent incident that we were kind of side eyeing for Possible Movie Interference even before this announcement. Saying up front that I don’t know that this is true, and even if Someone Did Change The Script it’s just as likely to be comic editorial pulling the plug than Kevin Feige coming down from on high to stuff Johnny back in the closet like he’s the Plant Man and it’s the ‘60s:

And then they never let him out of there again. (Strange Tales #121)

So here’s the deal: we know that there are several creators involved with Marvel who hold the belief that Johnny Storm is not the bastion of heterosexuality he’s very often been pushed as. Marjorie Liu (and most likely Daniel Way but we only have Marjorie Liu’s word on this last time I checked) intentionally wrote the relationship between him and Daken in Dark Wolverine as sexual. When I reviewed Marvels Snapshot: Fantastic Four for Women Write About Comics I received some very nice commentary from the creators and a retweet from Kurt Busiek, who is in charge of the Snapshot collection -- and I spend the majority of that review pretty openly talking about the subtext of Johnny’s sexuality and the history that has. So like, this is out there, it goes beyond fandom circles. People know, and you can tell, because a lot of the time multiple creators don’t spend decades making jokes about a character being gay if they don’t kind of think that character is gay. (I am looking at you, John Byrne.) But anyway, fast forward. It’s 2018 and the Fantastic Four are back on the shelves after their Film Rights Mandated Banishment (that Jonathan Hickman leaked as being a Real Thing and not another conspiracy theory). And while I have some significant problems with the 2018 run so far, I have to say, that first issue starts off strong, not in the least because it also featured the return of Wyatt Wingfoot, Johnny’s best friend and former roommate. Turned current roommate again, since apparently they were living together. They were also touching a lot.

Like a lot lot. Love a boyfriend leash. (Fantastic Four v6 #1) And like, look, longtime Johnny readers can tell you all about his long relationship with Wyatt Wingfoot and the subtext you can read into it, but a lot of casual readers noticed this too. People were talking about it. It was noticed. It was pretty obviously paralleled against Ben and Alicia, who were getting engaged at the same time.

Fast forward a couple of issues, all of which Wyatt sticks around for -- he was pretty obviously living with the Fantastic Four after their return for a couple of issues there -- to Ben’s bachelor party, where he and Johnny have this particular conversation:

“When you know -- and you’ll know -- take that leap. Don’t wait fer stronger shielding. Be brave, Johnny Storm.” (FF v6 #5) There’s a lot to unpack here in general, but the “be brave, Johnny Storm” sentiment continually sticks out to me, along with how ungendered this speech is -- not when you meet the right woman, blah blah blah. It’s not a big jump to imagine this as leading out to a coming out narrative, and that’s before we factor in this solicit for Fantastic Four #7:

“Plus a strange new development in the life of the Human Torch.” If you’ve read the issue, however, you know literally nothing of note happens to Johnny in it, let alone anything you could consider a new development, strange or not. It seems pretty clear, if you pull the clues, that there was originally some kind of plot involving Johnny -- and likely his romantic future -- in the original plans but then at some point that plot got pulled and likely replaced by the current Sky soulmate plot that has literally left Johnny shackled by heterosexuality. So it’s clear that at some point in early 2019 something shifted and this Johnny plot got pulled, for whatever reason. And I have no proof beyond all this circumstantial evidence that they were lining up anything that was actually going to concretely within the actual Fantastic Four book address his sexuality, but I think given the circumstantial evidence it is a valid theory. I don’t know if I specifically believe that the reasoning behind whatever this plot getting pulled was MCU interference, but it’s likely that the Fantastic Four project was seriously in development by that point to be able to announce it now, and if, by whatever chance, my “Johnny was going to come out” theory was true, we also know that the MCU has a serious problem with actually handling queer representation within their universe -- see Tessa Thompson’s bisexual Valkyrie scene getting cut, the entire Gay Joe Russo incident. They’re, what, 20+ movies in now and there are no actual queer main characters, right? I know Eternals is apparently changing that, but Eternals is not out yet, and also has significantly less name recognition than Fantastic Four. It’s not a great record, and while I would like to think that maybe that could change either with the Fantastic Four or by the time a Fantastic Four movie rolls out, I just don’t have that kind of faith. But if I’m wrong I’ll totally donate double the cost of the ticket and large popcorn to a charity that actually deserves it.

So there’s my conspiracy theory! Some people do this with celebrities, I do it with Johnny Storm. It’s probably equally unrewarding either way.

Let me talk about my boy Thor...

Let me preface this by saying that I have NO PROBLEM with who Thor has become on Endgame. I think it’s logical, I think the Russos even teased it a lot, when they said “Thor feels guilty, and it’ll change him forever”. It was to be expected, all the OG6 are totally different people in this movie, tbh. Of course Thor’s evolution is more obvious, because it’s also a physical one. I think Thor's journey on Endgame is just... rock bottom. Thor didn't have the "possibility" of reaching that point before: because he still had something after The Dark World, and then Ragnarok happened and he felt like he had a duty to his people. But then Thanos comes in a massacres half of his people THEN even more than that, dusts another half of the remaining people- why? Well because Thor failed both times: he failed to protect the people on the ship, including Heimdall and Loki who died right in front of his nose while he was powerless, and when he was able to kill Thanos but "didn't go for the head". I think Thor says in the movie that the Asgardians even blame him? Thor sure does, and maybe even so much that he thinks everyone around him does. It's a whole trauma. Now the way it's handled in the movie is... huh because they made tons of jokes about it, about the fact that he got fat, the fact that he's crying and drinking, but all these things are synonymous of depression, trauma, PTSD. Everything that Thor is experiencing because he was so used to be powerful and to win no matter what, that when he lost, he lost EVERYTHING all at once, and even lost his "purpose". On IW, what motivates Thor is revenge, nothing else than that: because we do see a scene with him and Rocket, and that scene perfectly reflects his state of mind. He's broken inside and the only thing he feels he can do about that, is AT LEAST kill Thanos (and tbh, maybe he hoped he would die in the process?). I'm glad that it sure isn't Thor's last movie, we'll probably see him in Guardians 3 and I think Tessa Thompson talked about talks around Thor 4. Thor still has a journey to go through and that's interesting, that's what is making me accept Thor's "light" treatment on this movie. It was very obviously a film centered around Tony and Steve, proof that 100% this is their last movie. Thor will come back and they'll be able to focus more on him, I think. And I say that, as a Thor fan. I’m fine with him in Endgame and I think we ought not to forget that Taika did work on Endgame as well, and all these decisions are probably part of a whole new storyline that will makes Thor evolve. Ultron, New York, all these hard things never affected Thor personally. On Ragnarok, Thor didn't really get to mourn his father, or his sister. On the Dark World, Frigga got a funeral scene at least, but again, at that point, Thor turned to rage and revenge and a "purpose". When they killed Thanos at the beginning of the movie, Thor didn't have a purpose: he couldn't fix what he did, he couldn't change it. He was powerless, AGAIN, because of Thanos. His progression makes sense, in the way that we have to accept that Thor regressed and got "bad" and isn't a flawless super-powerful God anymore, in this movie. Now I would have loved him to have scenes with Steve or Tony in particular- or, tbh any Avenger ffs, because they ALL felt this sense of failure. But huh, we got what we got. My only complaint is how little Thor interracted with the OG6, whether it's on IW or Endgame. But fat!Thor is comics canon, soooo. Being King of Asgard while feeling like he failed his people so bad, might also explain why he left like that at the end of Endgame. Being King didn't resolve anything, it was more of a burden that he forced himself to carry, and that kinda participated in ruining him in this little Scottish town. I might be the only one (with Thor himself) but I don't see him as Asgard's king and I'm glad he dumped that thing on Valkyrie's shoulders, lol. I prefered Thor’s end on the Dark World where he turned the Throne down and although I do understand Thor’s “mission” to lead his people to a better place at the end of Ragnarok, I still think to this day that Thor isn’t made to be King. He brought his people to a new place, his mission is done. There isn't much to lead anyway, it's not like if they were on Asgard, they're just a bunch of people fishing and living peacefully. Thor is better out there, actively doing things. As for Mjölnir, I mostly see it as Thor testing if he really was still worthy of lifting it. It’s not a regression, especially since Thor let Mjölnir go at the end of Endgame. And actually, if people thought Thor moved on from Mjölnir and its destruction during Ragnarok well... watch that movie again. Thor did learnt to channel his powers himself, but Mjölnir was still a “reference value” and synonymous of his failure against Hela on Ragnarok. It’s actually only NOW that Thor lets go of his hammer. Thing is, when you look back, Thor never really got the opportunity to “fall from Grace” up until that point. I mean, he always found a way to bounce back and we were always like “awww Thor is fine!” this time, it’s harder, and it’s more complicated, and Thor fails at being okay no matter what. And I think that’s a cool storyline that could trigger real, deep changes in Thor. While we see Tony or Steve change A LOT during their own journey, Thor’s most important progression is probably on the first movie. The second movie seems totally pointless, outside of the fact that it presents the Reality Stone. Then he’s cool, he’s hype and all. Then on Ragnarok he’s challenged but really, not nearly as much as he was on Infinity War/Endgame. There are actually things that Ragnarok undid about Thor that I didn’t like: AGAIN, no thank you to King Thor. I never liked Odin, and I sure don’t want Thor to be Odin 2.0 but maybe that’s just me ya kno. All in all, even if he failed at that point, even if he’s at rock bottom and feels like the worst he’s ever failed, thing is, Thor is still worthy. Thor can still lift his Hammer and do right by his people. He’s still fighting and yes, I do think this whole journey deserved more focus than it had, I do think it’s a shame how much Thor is in the background on this movie, while it sure is Tony and Cap’s movie. I would have, 100% watched a 5 hours version of a more balanced movie, where all the characters got a good treatment. But they had to cut things out, and the truth is: Thor will come back, and the writing will have the opportunity to delve deeper into him. Tony and Steve won’t come back, so they prioritized closing their storylines.

One iconic move: the iceberg hitting the Titanic? Can I only remember about Titanic today or what? 

A plotline you hated: Adam cheating on Joan in Joan of Arcadia (yes, I am THAT old.) I am still angry at the writers. It was unnecessary drama (the show was heavy enough ffs), and completely ooc for Adam. I mean. and waaaays to destroy the name Iris for me, when it’s one of the loveliest names in history. I don’t have anything against cheating per se (i’m French. hahaha) but in that particular story, it was a dumb plot device used to create drama, not something meaningful that lead to the protagonists development or anything. it was just like ooooh tension!! I hated it. so. much.

Favorite soundtrack: Love’s Labour’s Lost. Patrick Doyle + Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins...... what’s not to love? it kills me that this movie is not more talked about in the OH community. it’s lovely and cute and fun and such an amazing and honest tribute to musicals....

Favorite quote: not my fave from LLL because it’s Shakespeare, but do I really have to choose a single quote from Selfie? jk. The thing I quote most is from a French movie called La Cité de la peur, so let’s go with “ Et un jour mes cousins ils sont allés dormir chez ma grand-mère ! [...] alors j’ai dormi dans la chambre du bas parce que j’avais prêté mon pull. VOS CLAPIOTTES ARRIVENT!”

A side character you think should have been the protagonist: either Pacey Witter, Joey Potter, or Jen Linley. Poor Dawson was annoying af.

A protagonist you think should have been a side character: See above. or, to chose a different answer, I too would go with Abe. As @hensons stated, vaguely likable in season 4, but that’s it. (Make Ben the main character!! More Seth Numrich!! what do you mean that’s not the point?)

A completely unnecessary and annoying character death: Am I over Judith’s death in Le Visiteur du futur? no I am not!!!

Favorite plot twist: Joey being end game with Pacey. not really a plot twist, but I’m pretty sure it was not planned when the show first began.

A movie you would love to watch in another genre: A Quiet Place (2018) Can I have a light family comedy where they are all happy and alive? please thank you.

ffs. i liked thor how he was. i mean, i don't mind a little bit of dudebro because he was always charming about it. but i never got the impression he was anything other than genuinely interested in what jane had to say about science... it wasn't some cheap shot to get in her pants or anything. and even ignoring that, it was a thing that literally helped him save the universe in TDW.

Yeah they took the ‘cheerful dick’ moments of the first 2 movies and just WAY overdid them, bordering into Dumb!Thor territory--except then they had him say things that implied he wasn’t Dumb!Thor. The characterization was all over the place and bordered on nonsensical.

And it’s so frustrating because the Valkyior were so amazing for the brief moments we see them? Valkyrie was incredible, her narrative and characterization were really great, and Tessa Thompson was so amazing in that role? The cinematography was fun? The directing was good? Thor as a natural elementalist and Mjolnir as his focus, not as the sole source of his power? The continued evolution of Thor and Loki’s relationship? All amazing. Why was it married to the rest?

Can't Help It

Valkyrie decides to pay Thor a little visit to get away from all the king stress. While visiting, she meets you-his little sister, and grows a liking for you.

Everyday was the same. Wake up, get dressed, attend a meeting, listen to boring businessmen go on and on about boring things, sign bills, kiss babies, sleep. Repeat. Valkyrie quickly grew tired of her duties, but knew she had to comply because the citizens needed their king. However, she missed her fighting days, her friends, her sisters, her normal life.

The king groaned as her alarm sounded once again. It was the third time in a row. There was a knock at her door. "What?" She spoke from the under the pile of pillows. "Your majesty, you have a meeting at 9:30 to follow up with the council on the new school being built." Her assistant looked at her phone. Then to the bed, she hoped had the king laying in it. "Kiri, cancel all meetings for today." She requested. "Oh um...okay. Any reason, your majesty?"

Valkyrie now sat up. Her hair messy from the blankets, and shirt half way down her shoulder. "I just need a break, it's been meetings for how many days now?" She opened mouth to answer. "Don't answer that. Just go." She held a finger up to the door. Her assistant sighed. "Yes, your majesty." Her heels clicked on the floor as she walked out, closing the door behind her.

She eventually got up out the comfy bed and started her morning. Valkyrie always loved fighting because it took her away from her thoughts. All good and bad, she didn't care. Being left alone with them made her do stupid things, like what she's about to do right now. She stood on the glass walkway thinking about what to say to the God of Thunder.

Oh yeah, just wanted to stop by. See how things are going.

I was in the area, figured why not.

Got bored and decided to come visit.

Being king is so annoying and I wanted to get away.

She sighed as the God came in view. She couldn't hide her smile as he held his arms out with a wide smile. "Valkyrie! My old friend!" She stayed stationary as he hugged her not caring that she hated hugs. "Hello, Thor." He pulled away. "What brings you to Asgard? How are the people treating you? The king glow got you, I use to have it once, y'know." He rested his hands on his broad hips.

She chuckled. "Slow day, and figured why not come up." She lied. He chuckled and guided her into the palace. She's been there before, but he loves showing off his palace to anyone willinging to listen. Unfortunately for her, she had no choice. While walking down a hall, they encountered a long curly haired girl. Her hair dark brown like coffee, skin light brown as hazels and eyes green like summer grass.

"Y/N, where are you off to?" You were dressed in armor and held a shining silver sword. Valkyrie couldn't take her eyes from you. "Training, can't fall behind and let my brother get better than me." Your remark made the king chuckle. "I am the God of Lightening, sister. I will always be better than you." You looked behind your brother looking at where the laugh came from.

"You're quite a character." She smirked. "My name is Valkyrie, King of New Asgard." Your eyes lit up, and looked back to your brother. "This is Valkyrie? Your stories does not do her any justice." Her eyebrow perked up. "I can tell you a few others." She let out. You rested a hand on your waist. "How about you train with me? I would love to see your combat skills." The king folded her arms, still her signature smirk plastered on her face.

"I can show you my other skills, if you want." You slowly caught on to what she was trying to say. And by the looks of it, your brother did too. "Okay! How about I spaw with my sister and you can watch. Lovely!" He exclaimed. You chuckled. The king's gaze never left yours as you walked ahead of her to catch up with your sibling.

"Come on! Loki could use a sword better than you and he's pure magic!" The God exclaimed. You huffed out a breath as you held the sword, ready to take him on again. It's been 30 minutes of you losing to Thor and you weren't having it anymore. "I surrender!" Thor laughed. "Very well, guess I remain better than you." Valkyrie observed from a bench. Even though he beat you, watching you spaw was calming.

There was a way to your movements, the way your waist spun to reject his attacks, how your hair flowed, your hands gripped the sword heavenly as if you weren't carrying a deadly weapon. "May I?" She asked. Thor waved his hand in exhaustion. They exchanged spots. "You're not blocking the attacks right. You need to hold it like this." She held up her sword and showed you her hands. You examined it, but couldn't comprehend how to do it.

She chuckled and came behind you. Taking your hands in hers, putting it on the handle. Her touch was soft and warm against yours. Her chest pressed lightly on your back and her breath steady while yours quickened. "Just like this." She whispered into your ear. Your breathing hitched, but you complied. "Now, do it again." She stepped in front of you. Sword in hand, ready.

After going back and forth, your swords found themselves on the ground, so you were forced to use hand to hand combat. You were better at it anyways. You dodged all her blows and got a couple in too. At some point you slid under her and had enough time to kick her to the floor. She landed hard on her stomach. but flipped over instantly. She took the opportunity to do the same to you, causing you to land right on her.

You sucked in a breath realizing how close you were. "You're good." She expressed while her smirk tugged at her lips. "Valkyrie stop trying to flirt with my sister!" You both heard the frustrated God yell and laughed.

I couldn‘t agree more with you tbh like of course it‘s important to not whitewash poc‘s but people on this site are (as always lol) being so extrem about it omg especially when it comes to pale gifsets.

oh god yes!!! like it’s the 1st time they see a pale gifset or doing pale stuff is constricted only to editing white people *rolling my eyes* like ffs this whole thing is getting old! everytime i roll through my dash i find an anon talking about whitewashing poc! rly if u don’t like this kind of pastel coloring then u can either unfollow them or block them! it’s that easy! and tbh no one is trying to whitewash anything! like what reason do i have to whitewash anybody?!?! *sigh* anyway as u said they will always be extreme about it. so it’s better to ignore.
