Il 10 febbraio 2024, alla Fortezza da Basso di Firenze, si è tenuta l'inaugurazione ufficiale della 6° edizione di FIRENZE HOME TEXSTYLE e della 17° edizione di IMMAGINE ITALIA & Co.

La presenza del Presidente della Regione Eugenio Giani e del Presidente di Firenze Fiera, Lorenzo Becattini, ha reso l'evento ancora più significativo.

Per tre giorni consecutivi, dal 10 al 12 febbraio, la Fortezza da Basso sarà la vetrina italiana delle tendenze 2024/2025 nel settore tessile per la casa, nautica, spa, hotellerie & contract e fragranze. In concomitanza, verranno presentate le nuove collezioni autunno/inverno 2024/2025 nel campo dell'intimo e della lingerie.

L'Agenzia ICE (Italian Trade Agency) supporta l'evento, attirando importanti buyers internazionali. Una novità di quest'anno è FABRIC SOUND, uno spazio live che ospiterà talk, convegni, workshop e incontri nel mondo dell'home decor, lifestyle e imprenditoria tessile.

Diverse conferenze sono previste, tra cui "La scuola del tappezziere adesso c'è" organizzata da CITA e il convegno su "Total contract, total texture" presentato dall'Arch. Klingenberg di Lugano, esplorando l'universo dell'hotellerie in Iran.

L'Arch.Simone Micheli interverrà sul "Textile Design in Hospitality: the role of the architect", affrontando l'importanza di convertire necessità oggettive in soluzioni funzionali.

L'organizzatore di IMMAGINE ITALIA & Co., il presidente di Underbeach, Alessandro Legnaioli, sottolinea l'importanza del salone come riferimento per i buyer internazionali, unendo le eccellenze del mondo lingerie con il tessile per la casa.

The text was okay till I had a second opinion. This then made me want to change the original text to a new type of text. 

To get the text right, I had to write the word wonder in different fonts and styles and then pick the best one. This helped as I felt more freedom for the title of my book cover. I went with a more block style and less scratchy style to help bring the type more forward into the front cover making it easier to read and see. 

I was also working on the rest of the character and when working on the text. After doing the body and bag, I wanted to make him stand out more, I tried redrawing the shapes but different shade of the colour. This was scrapped and then tested again when I finished the final production. I then decided to move onto burning. But this was not added till after I printed off the first version. 

I decided to add more texture to the background of my book cover by placing a textile background and cutting the clouds using the lasso tool in Photoshop I was able to add this underneath and it gave a real nice finish. Along side the blue background which was placed with a filter on top. I went with gravel but very lightly. 

Also downloaded some new font styles to help with the blurb and the quotations.
