The Fractured Moon - currently working on These Fractured Knights (TFM Bonus Chapters) 🫣😏 - No new updates this week though.

Feeling You Can't Fight is DEFINITELY coming out this week on Wednesday! (I know I said that last week but this week I mean it!) I was hoping to post it last week but I didn’t get around to editing it! My goal will be to put out a chapter a week for the next 6 weeks for this one (fingers crossed - will post more often if I finish the chapters sooner than that) but we will see!

Summary

You are the new staff manager for the National Art Gallery in London, replacing the prior manager who you'd heard was unpleasant to work for...and that was putting it kindly.

Worth the Risk - taking a small step back from this for now. It’s not at the top of my inspiration list so I’m moving it down the line temporarily. - will work on a later date

The Good Doctors - idea by @burnincrown - Dr. Marc Spector - It's going to be a long time in the works, and it will probably replace TFM when that one is done. In development - Work on it a different week

alright, ya boy is back with thoughts on TFM:

so i just finished the crimson maiden and im so confused on L'via's gender. is L'via transmasc? transfemme? just disguised until proven strong? nonbinary? im so confused. "No one recognizes me as a maiden bc im a man" *does the tournament* "Ayo, I'm a girl" ....im so confused. im so confused. bestie (L'via) i need some backstory. what just happened. and like, the possibilities here are weird: (using she/her pronouns since the story goes on with them and not he/him) 1. L'via's mom kept her gender a secret and made her live as a boy until she could prove her worth, which, ouch 2. L'via is a trans guy but even if she decided that early on, the village would know L'via's original identity assuming she grew up there, and im assuming if L'via was afab then being a maiden would've been fine even with he/him pronouns? Like it'd suck to never completely pass bc everyone knew but still, it shouldn't have affected L'via's maiden status? 3. L'via is transfemme and upon proving her strength feels she's now able to identify publicly as such, since the Heroes' Domain seems to place an expectation of strength upon women (like L'via's bloodline) and the end of the tournament was her way of saying "I'm strong enough to be a woman in your eyes now and take my place as maiden." kfgjkjhsgkl im so confused and i hate how they just left it at thattttt -shy not-anon-anymore lol

Okay, so, each of the four tales explore the Maiden System and its ramifications in different ways—as I understood it, L’via is afab but id’d as a guy (w/ help from her dad) for both of them to like, circumvent/avoid/ignoring having to deal with the fact that she was the Maiden, to be ‘free’ from the burden of being a Maiden, but for the purposes of securing the Crimson Relic for Barren and Laty, the truth was inevitable.

I'll just say this: Boiling Rock was not a Sokka episode, it was a Sokka & Zuko episode. The Firebending Masters was not an Aang episode, it was an Aang & Zuko episode. I understand wanting to defend Katara's autonomy, but her creators were white cishet men. TSR was a Katara & Zuko episode in the way BR and TFM were Zuko plus-one episodes, but with unnecessary stuff thrown in. I'm fine agreeing to disagree, but I think that you're reading TSR wrong. JMO.

i do agree tsr was a katara & zuko episode! but tsr was also about forgiveness as a choice. tbr was a sokka & zuko episode, but tbr was also about doing the right thing no matter the personal risk (ex. sokka staying to rescue his father and suki, mai and ty lee's betrayals). tfm was an aang & zuko episode, but it was also about fire as a form of life and rebirth and opportunity (not just destruction, as the fn had corrupted it to be) and thus about unlearning expectations to recognize truth. honestly, tfm was the most balanced out of the three field trips, as tbr focused more heavily on sokka and tsr more heavily on katara, while tfm was very evenly zuko and aang. but i digress, lmao. just because tsr was a katara & zuko episode doesn't mean it was a katara/zuko episode (speaking in terms of canon, ofc! people can do whatever they want with fanon), and this misconstruing of the ep is kind of exactly what i was talking about, lol. there was no "unnecessary stuff," but trust me when i say rabid fanoners want you to believe there is. their goal is to create division. don't let them fool you.

A Bit Dodgy - I had a feeling my job would be picking up soon and I'd be so busy that I would have to start prioritizing certain works. That being said, A Bit Dodgy (or A Bit Doggy for that one anon who stole my heart) is going to be on a temporary hiatus until 07/31/2023. I just have so much going on and where this isn't the fic that's inspiring me the most right now, I'm moving to prioritize the ones that are inspiring me the most.

I just have to follow the shiny thing (or so the ADHD in my brain is telling me) Plus I really wanna get some of my mini-series banged out soon!

i think like ....... i guess the point is that mc is, especially at that point in the story, meant to be whoever the player wants her to be (which they definitely stray from in ES and TRR, even later books of TFM/TS, where the mc has a much more vibrant and distinct personality) which means if the player is straight, u can make her straight? 

but like!!!!! its still so awkward!!!!! especially if u flirt w kait but end up not dating her (or later they let u say mc has dated girls before and also date another girl) so like .......... zack honey no one in this room is str8 ...... let mc talk a bitch Gets It. honestly i think they just got lazy with having to write different scenes based on the Gay Experience
