what’s the most single most attractive thing about oscar? Then answer for landoscar too?

he’s by his own definition “calculated”, which i also read as cold and detached. that quality in a person, to be able to ignore the noise and channel everything towards winning, is like… really hot lmao idk how else to say it. he’s also very openly ambitious so that smashes my competency kink real bad ngl.

every driver responds differently to the circus of f1 and every driver has to have an element of “i can drop everything and focus” but oscar based on performance is one of the ones i truly believe is capable of tuning almost everything out. the higher the pressure seems to get, the calmer he seems to be. i think it takes an incredible amount of self control for someone so relatively young too.

i mean behaviour-wise if you squint, he’s basically a darcy-adjacent archetype in that way which might explain the appeal. yeah.

and by extension, the reason landoscar is so appealing to me is because it goes against the projection/image that oscar has intentionally set up for the world to see. like, that he’s focused on racing and racing only, and focused on obtaining the WDC. on paper and based on more conventional sports narrative cues lando could be an obstacle or rival for him, or someone oscar should keep his distance with. but he is not cool and detached with lando, he is not indifferent. in fact oscar is almost always the opposite of that — lando can be unpredictable and zany and annoying and super warm and funny and it makes oscar react in a way that’s like. not entirely on brand for a supposedly cool and detached racer boy.

yes his whole onscreen chemistry with lando is set up by mclaren marketing in a deliberate way to milk the teammate thing, show camaraderie, and get engagement. but the great thing about any good ship is that sometimes it can start that way and then go a little rogue beyond the marketing (see: oscar popping up recently in random sky interviews) and take on a weird life of its own. ‘cus lando and oscar seem to genuinely enjoy each other’s presence while helping each other and the team — like there’s many levels of coexistence or intimacy that you simply you would not get in a “normal” context of coworker because of the sheer stakes involved (hundreds of people basically working for you, the money and speed of f1, the travel, the sacrifices, the expectation, the pressure), and through it all it’s two people just kinda saying, “hey, i have come to enjoy your presence, i respect you, we can joke about this, we’re sharing this because you understand exactly what i’m going through right now”. that’s what makes it fun to play around with.

Oh The Manager, no question. I've thought long and hard about this before and I just don't think they're on a comparable power level tbqh.

Like yes in physical matters, The Princess is strong, not human. In fisticuffs im not quite sure who would come out. But overall power? May has many, many, many years on her, she is barely a blip in his eye. He has his magic and power and if he truly wanted to deal with her, I believe he could.

Its more so a matter of would he actually try, and the social repurcussions that could come from it- and the manner of way he'd actually keeping Jamie away from her would not neccesarily be something Jamie wants.So its a bit more complicated in that matter i suppose

but at the end of the day where I think The Princess could see The Manager as a rival, he would not view her the same way.

cole & jay, bestfriends right there. I loved their duo a lot in the early seasons when I was younger and I still do now, I’m a huge sucker for love/hate dynamics like they have. those two are soooo silly and can be menaces, but they really do care about each other. “don’t think you can lie to me, I know you too well” is so true. always such a joy to watch onscreen :D

and nya & lloyd! I started to love them a lot in Hunted, this duo is really strong and clever together. they highly respect one another, but I like that nya who’s the little sister of her family shows more of an older sister attitude with lloyd. she’s a great emotionally supportive person to him when he’s been in some desperate need of help- from back in hunted to as recently as the newest DR season. and they’re both rather mature people so their talks end up being an interesting listen

21. Are there any raid storylines (Ivalice, Coil of Bahamut, Werlyt, etc.) you consider to be canon for your WoL? Which ones don't you consider canon?

WELL for caranar, basically all of them! since he's my real main wol type guy (despite being my... alt... ingame..) and I love side content. the biggest ones for him though characterwise are definitely omega, ivalice, four lords, pandaemonium... the only one I'd consider cutting is werlyt actually because it pisses me off so bad and squandered anything remotely cool and interesting to me about gaius' shadowhunter persona. but I think if anything I just have a severely revised-from-canon headcanon of it to the point of making up a new story in my head (WHY WASN'T NERO THERE, WHY DID THEY HAVE MR. CID 'FREEDOM THROUGH TECHNOLOGY' GARLOND MAKING A MISSILE PLATFORM?? AND SO MUCH MORE) but for kozu, he's kind of a side character to an extent, on the fringe of the scions for like a third of the game... so I think he'd only be around for ones I think are thematically relevant even if he wouldn't be capable of fighting in the quests themselves sometimes. he'd maybe appear once or twice max for something like coils or alexander. crystal tower and void raids he'd be Around, but not getting into the fights at all; ivalice he probably would wander around the instance as a follow npc because those fights were basically similar to primals iirc? but it's very relevant to him having lived in dalmasca for a time after having left golmore so he'd never skip out trying to help... omega I think he'd get roped into as well but I'm not suuure if he'd fight. he'd be in the cidnero hangout spot making the vibes worse somehow LOL. I think if he was part of four lords he'd have just been tataru 2 so he can skip that one.. also in the NPC squad for eden and. I will say he would have shaken up the vibes there too (get thancred AWAY from my wife NOW). if he was involved in werlyt (unsure tbh) he'd have been completely in the background just focusing on direct aid and helping the people living there. only by endwalker would he be actually directly fighting the trials and raids hdfjhdsfj. oh except. he would be just materially unable to be in the pandaemonium raids till last tier cause he can't freely return to the first like caranar. ....wait I just remembered the nier raids existed. for me those are not canon to anything they are so nothing burger to me. and I LIKE nier

Absolutely Emmanellain. He's already pretty dramatic and emotional, where Driselle is mellow to the point of seeming apathetic (she has emotions, but they tend to come off as pretty muted), so most situations where somebody is angry is basically just Driselle calming Emmanellain down by being entirely too calm herself.

but disneyland will probably happen again next month! this month is pretty busy AND i wouldnt want to go after my tattoo appointment this month (18th!!) bc i would be too afraid of fucking up the two week healing process
