I finally turned the Cursed Handspun into a thing! (I made a whole sweater with this, then realized I hated it, frogged it. Started another sweater, frogged it. Started a cardi and, you guessed it. 🐸 Then it sat in the stash for a few years. Was lange währt...)

Pattern is Outlandish Bodice by bron matheson, available for free! Unfortunately it comes in only a very limited size range. Fortunately, if you're like me and not doing the fitted version, it's a seamless modular knit and basically just rectangles, so it's very easily adjustable.

Mine closes with lacing because I was too lazy to sew in the 500 billion hooks and eyes the pattern calls for. I could have made it with a tiny bit more negative ease, but it's fine and overall I'm happy with it.

How are you liking Jedi: Survivor so far?

I haven't had a chance to play it yet since it isn't available on my consle yet :( but it looks really good!

I AM LOVING IT A LOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's so good to see cal my baby boy again (so grown up!!! i love his new outfit so much i keep ignoring the game when it gives me new hairs and fits) and i'm only a few hours in but I'm really enjoying the plot/themes it's setting up!! much like the first game im goin thru the whole thing like YES!! THIS IS HOW TRIPLE-A GAMES SHOULD FEEL!!!!

i'm allergic to most of medical and mental health youtube but i will confess i DO enjoy skits about working in rheumatology. mostly because they are so specific and yet so relatable. it's kinda comforting to know that all rheumatologists everywhere are the same.

my absolute favorite vids are the one with a beleaguered rheumatologist snapping "if an ANA is positive in the absence of any relevant symptoms, disregard it"

and then the consulting doc rattling off a constellation of Very Strange / Serious test results and physical symptoms (that.... most laypeople do not get, but i understand 95% of, just bc of the nature of..... The Ordeal), & the rheumatologist being like

:O :O :O THIS IS THE WEIRDEST WAY FOR A PATIENT TO DIE EVER???? CAN I SEE THEM IMMEDIATELY???? I MEAN PUT THEM ON IV STEROIDS RIGHT NOW BUT I'M GONNA WRITE A PAPERRRRRR

bc that is. EXACTLYYY how things went for me,,,

in nearly Every doctor's appointment over the past 2ish years, i've had the attending go, "hey, would it..... be okay if.... i brought my supervisor in here.....??" and i go "sure," and then the supervisor comes in and looks at whatever fuckin New Deformity Of The Week has appeared, and they immediately go

"oh, WOW...... that's....... So Interesting...... woahahwow....."

like. my freaky bullshit delighted the docs to the point that they just. forgot their bedside manner. if one ever existed in the first place. like i am not exaggerating when i say that i've had more than one healthcare practitioner ask if i'd give them permission to access all my case notes for research paper purposes.

57) How conscious are you about including symbolism or foreshadowing in your fics?

I LOVE symbolism and foreshadowing in my fics. There’s a little foreshadowing in UWSDWF so far :D Most of it tends to be flower symbolism, as said by the state of my royalty swap. I wouldn’t call Eret’s prophecies in that fic ‘foreshadowing’ but I enjoy it a lot. I love flower symbolism so much in fics. My absolute adored.

72) What’s your favorite writing compliment you’ve gotten?

Literally any compliment I get on writing my fight scenes ever. I hate writing them because I struggle to put all the little pieces in, so hearing that they worked out is the best feeling.

74) Do you have a fic you wish got a bit more love?

Hm…

Listen. In my defense. I have been planning/writing (in UWSDWF’s case specifically, Royaltyswap is low-key cancelled) for months/years. And while any support on them is nice, I think it’s interesting the comparison between my fic, ‘8 times Wild caught and animal and 1 time an animal caught him’ or ‘A Royal Rivendell Wedding’

Both of which were mostly made on a whim. Without much prior planning.

It’s v interesting and I do wish the other 2 fics got a little more attention, but at the end of the day what is being a fanfic writer if not watching your crack fics get more attention than your fully plotted fics /lh
