It's been a while since I've read a lot of non-fic books BUT I will say I will never get over how good I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy is. I absolutely loved it. Obviously, really intense book/topics, but her audiobook rendition of it was probably the best audiobook I've ever listened to.

45. if you were on a 10 hour flight and could sit and talk to any person the entire time, who would it be?

Ooo I'm not the most outdoorsy person in the world BUT I do love swimming in a pool. I'm not a strong enough swimmer for like the ocean but I do love just vibing in a pool or hot tub and enjoying warm weather that way!

12. favorite animal.

I loveeeee cats so much! And I am ABSOLUTELY going to take this opportunity to yap about the cats in my life LOL

I had a very sweet soul kitty named Minnie who I adopted as a senior cat back in 2019 who I had until she unfortunately passed in 2023 and I have never felt more bonded to an animal in my life. She was a sweet baby angel and I loved her more than life itself. This was her in 2020.

My roommates currently have two cats, Otis and Wage, who both have pestered me (lovingly) greatly while writing. Here's Otis (he's my stupid idiot son and does not have a single thought behind those eyes!)

Technically Otis was a joint adoption between me and my two roommates but we're all moving apart soon and he is VERY strongly bonded to my other roommate so he will be remaining with them.

Then there's Wage, who's my third roommate's cat and ADORES me and loves to sit in my lap. I'm not even kidding when I say a good 50% of my fics have been writing with Wage sitting in my lap.

Unfortunately despite my huge love for cats once I leave Boston in a couple of weeks I probably won't be able to have any for a few years. I'm moving back in with my parents and my father is SUPER allergic so. I will have to wait to return to owning a stupid little idiot baby. I will miss Otis and Wage dearly!!

Thoughts (since I don't write on Tumblr often

I've been following Jeff's career since like...mid-Kinnporsche airing, I don't remember exactly when but like he had the first 3 songs from his new chapter phase. And honestly, I'm really proud of the guy, like from the cutesy songs he started with to working on a well-defined style and universe, to his now international stardom...Congrats!!

I'm also wondering about the album since he said there was 12 songs, (and we're missing single 9) and Stranger might be released inside the album but there's at least 1-2 new songs. He basically gave himself the opportunity to promote for a long-ass time with all these MVs (and thanks the sponsorships+the money he made for this clip budget) but that also means very little new songs. Like for album 2, is it going to be a mini-album? Or a normal-sized one? Is he going to go the one MV one song way again?

I don't know how thaï music industry works but it's going to be interesting. I hope there's Covid precautions in place at his concerts because I would hate for him to have his career shortened that way. Like fans, please wear masks. I wanna hear the high notes, and he's basically set himself up by having one high note per song (no, you don't need it Jeff) and that makes it hard to not to have public, embarassing false notes (is it how you say it in English? I'm French btw)

The studio posting in advance the Cartier Paris event schedule is funny, I've visited the museum and it's absolutely a visit during opening hours on a normal opening day. They probably privatized it with lots of money, but if they don't it's gonna be funny to see random art students going "who's that guy/why is there so many celebs??"(Paris museums are either closed on Monday or Tuesday, depending if they're state museums or city museums)

He's made quite a lot of connections last year, going from the first partnerships (the cat food one was mandatory) to high-end partnerships with luxury brands. I would love to know what made him choose these ones and reject the others but we will never know what has he been offered.

Also, Chuang! Except for one of the mentors I didn't know, it feels weird to see people I've seen being rookies listening to seniors becoming the judges of today, when the judges used to be people who weren't known celebrities to the idol fan watcher. Now my idols are another idol's idol! Like I'm going to watch a show (on and off because I'm busy) because of the judges and not the contestants! In terms of the competition, I wonder how they're going to be promoted, especially since it's a girl group. Like, when Produce/Chuang was created, it looked unrealistic, and here we are! I think the girls version of the show tends to be the first, and idol girls seem less "guaranted success" than the nth boygroup. Idk about thai music industry again, so idk how idols survive, because the only idol girls I kow in Thaïland are Sizzy from GMM..We'll see, but I hope the show fulfills its role of career launcher without scandals or evil editing.

Back to the actual topic, seeing the Jeff pyjama pic for the show's filming is making me wonder if he's going to be styled in Valention the whole time. If it's the case, we could literaly have a guessing party before the episode teasers, though he's a wild card since he picks women's clothes too. Please show, make him wear a skirt! A pantaskirt?

Also, his haircut, an actual discussion topic (but kpop idols announce comebacks by hair colour, so why not?) is making him look like he's somewhere between 18-22. Like it's only when he styles it back that it doesn't give him too much of a baby face. For his movie, I think they're filming backwards or not in order in terms of time period, because I don't think they're going to do bald cap if he needs to have no hair. We might get short military-like (I hope he doesn't keep it, I love the long hair). But also, is it me or he's started working out the Dorito back way? Like, he's got more arm and shoulder muscles than without workout, but last singing appearance he really looked "guy who works out to have a triangular back" and that may be movie-related as well? Again and again, idk.

I don't really write about stuff a lot, the thoughts often stay in my head, but yeah, here they are!

For his next career moves, I'm mostly curious about how much space he's going to give to acting or being in reality shows, since he's a singer first. I think Wuju is going to be his last work with Barcode as a partner, but I'm curious about where he's going to be casted if he does series again, like he has more options than just the BOC productions (unlike Barcode) and he may become a "pass-around, no fixed ship actor. But we're making plans on a comet now, and I really should go back to working, so bye for now!

I was with a couple of friends, they went back to our hotel when I’d assured them I was safe.

I didn’t snoop actually, did I do the right thing?😅 I was nervous! I just sipped my wine and just looked around the room, at one point I thought it was all a joke because he took so long in the shower, so I was waiting for the hidden camera crew to burst out. He did smell really good when he came out the shower though, kinda peppery/leathery, I was weak!

He was a very passionate kisser, his lips were so soft and he loved biting my bottom lip too🫦. He offered to call me a car in the morning but I asked my friends to come and meet me because our hotel was round the corner. I did get room service OJ and pancakes in the morning though, which was really sweet. He’s a very good pillow talker, so we talked a lot afterwards and just kinda cosied up with the music on, it was only quiet but I remember hearing Aerosmith (I’ve never really listened to them but I recognised Steven Tyler’s voice) some Stones and a lot of songs I didn’t recognise (regrettably not a HUGE rock fan other than GNR & SMKC).

Like I know what happened was ultimately a one night thing but he’s actually really charming, and if I didn’t know any better would say he’s definitely a man you’d want to be in a relationship with. I flew home that afternoon, he did give me his email address which I thought was a little weird but because he’s travelling so much he told me it was the best way to reach him and he’d like to ‘do this again sometime’. Then I found out he was still with Meegan and it kinda shattered the whole thing.

Honestly, you can ask me anything I don’t mind as I am a pretty open book. I don’t know if he’s done this as his other shows or will do? Clearly he’s got scouts at side stage to come and get anyone he has his eye on as the guy that approached me seemed like it was something he was used to doing.

You did the right thing by not snooping but I would have snooped, lol.

Can I just say I wish someone would write my fics for me? 😅 So many ideas, so few words written...

I'm a sucker for time loops (I have at least two plotted out, I'll get to them. Eventually...) and wistful love and bittersweet endings, so a mid-length fic featuring all of those might kill me with joy and sorrow. For who to write it, maybe @/penmanner? I love the way they write tomarry, balancing angst and fluff and romance and making the boys emotionally messy and confrontational.

Cloud is the queen of the apartment. She's a sweet bean, but she'll absolutely cut you.

Poe is full of personality and not a lot of thoughts. She is baby, she's a ham.

They're sisters and hate each other, and are both polydactyls (all four feet of both kitties have at least one extra toe). Poe is an overachiever and has six or seven toes on both front paws. They're turning ten this month! @_@

Why not, I decided I will give some spotlight to my guilty pleasure baby - Himiko  💛

💛 First of all she technically doesn’t exist lol. Let me explain: Himiko started as an April Fool’s joke baby of my Vincent and Hanako at the old server I was in, 2 years ago. She’s not part of my “official headcanons” but she’s my guilty pleasure headcanon I run for comfort when I want to be mushy and cute and have happy vibes thinking that despite everything my otp got together for so long and they’re somehow happy. So technically, she’s in additional AU to my Blaze of Glory AU where Hanako never went nomad with Vincent cuz instead of leaving with Aldecaldos after the Devil Ending, he decided to do the gig from Mr. Blue-Eyes gaining worldwide fame as the most dangerous man alive. I hope that means sense.  💛 Himiko is lab-made baby! I can imagine that since Hanako is chromed she’s already infertile in 2077, but after all she is the Arasaka so I bet her eggs were stored for the sake of Arasakas future. So Himiko was made in-vitro, in womb like enviroment in the most top secret Arasaka Labs in Tokyo.  💛 Her existence is kept secret from the world, kind of. In 2081 a year after her “birth” Saburo informed the public that he was blessed with new member of Arasaka family - a child of his beloved daughter Hanako, and her husband Vincenzo Giovanna. However, it was everything the public knew for decades to come. Instead Himiko was given a secret surname as Himiko Ikeda (hehe in my nomad ff Hanako is undercover as Asami Ikeda), and had pretty much what would seem a normal kid experience growing up in Kyoto, going to school like any other kid. In reality it was really stresfull situation where she developed a fear towards other peers, being scared of befriending anyone, afraid they will realize who she is and her life would be ruined. However that did not stopped her from being the leader among others as she even was the Head of the Student’s Council in her High School.  💛 In her childhood, when her father’s cat who was her bestest friend - Nibbles - died due to old age, her grandfather used this as opportunity to play on little Himiko. Instead of “another stray cat” in the family, Saburo gifted Himiko a baby of the last living lions that she named Kumo (meaning: cloud). Of course her parents were outraged by this, as it was super dangerous, and they needed to keep Lion Trainers around. Years later due to Kumo being an offspring of already struggling animals, he turned out to have a lot of health problems that slowly became uncurable. When Kumo started getting his first cybernetic parts Himiko swore she herself will find a way to save his life, therefore she pursued her interest in cybernetics and ended up designing life-saving parts that she asked her mother to make the software for. At the end Himiko and Hanako saved Kumo, and he lived many more years with her. Thanks to behavioral chip that Hanako wrote, Kumo was unable to cause harm to Himiko or the family, so the trainers and precautions weren’t needed anymore.  💛 Those who knew of her existence had mixed opinions. She was either loved, or shamed for variety of reasons. The most prominient one was Saburo’s own way of thinking that Vincent’s genes disgrace purity of Arasaka bloodline.  P.S. I have to make future appearances for Hanako and Vincent just to take pics with her  😭

1. one of my most favorite lines in the entire manga tbh:

he is the only one who gets me . also what happens next is extremely hot (he gets cut in half) (dw it's coming up later in this post)

2. bird speech:

he is the only one who gets me pt 2. also love seeing him be genuine. in the anime his voice acting is SOOOOOO good it's unreal. also he is so beautiful without his eye cover. look at him

3. the thing that came right before it:

1 god he is so hot when he stabs and goes insane (sorry for the horny on main it will happen again) 2 i just love the duality in this entire scene. this is my take but i think he does feel guilty for killing as he says afterwards, but part of his guilt is because he does enjoy killing and inflicting pain, so his words here^ are genuine, but are in fact his guilt speaking, he just exaggerates his enjoyment, and later expresses his guilt in a more direct way

(also this scene is so much better in the manga, i love his cartoonishness here, the blood splatters, the lines covering his face etc. the anime was very underwhelming in that regard)

4. arm moment (not in the manga yet ;0)

again. stellar voice acting. a very emotional moment, most emotional than we've ever seen him, and he seems so conflicted too! with the new context the most recent manga chapter added to what comes before this moment, it makes it clearer where some of his conflicted feelings come from, as well. i already wrote a whole analysis of this scene on the day the ep came out lol i won't get into it again

5. a two frame combo >:3 (easier to take from the anime. also i think they were well adapted!)

this is kind of a sequel. it was my original #5 bc i straight up forgot abt that^ somehow but it's the same scene so it counts. and i love this frame so so much you have no idea

Second Day of November

I’m sitting at my desk and the view from every window is scarlet, copper, and gold. The cats are snoozing, the house is quiet, and I’m still high on Halloween. Let’s talk about Halloween, shall we?  We turned the porch light on, left a basket of goodie bags for treat seekers, and then pointed the car over the bridge to Edgewater.  We escorted our favorite owl on her quest for candy and it was more fun than I’ve had in ages.  Their neighborhood is full of young families and OHMYWORD, they do Halloween right. Decorated houses, laughing mobs of kids running door to door, friendly adults (about half in costume) strolling and laughing at/with the kids and chatting with each other. It was WONDERFUL.  This little snowy owl...

didn’t have a shy bone in her body.  She went beyond the standard “trick- or treat!” followed with a thank you, she chatted up the neighborhood.  She chatted so much that her parents would have to call her away from doors so other kids could get their candy. She’d compliment the landscaping or ask about their pets.  I heard her ask one elderly woman (sitting on her porch with a bowl of candy) , “Are you having fun tonight?”  The lady laughed and replied that she was. Our grandgirl was  joined by a very sweet neighborhood friend who is in first grade, and her little brother (he was supposed to be Spiderman but decided at the last minute that the costume was itchy). Her friend was Barbie (hot pink skirt with stars & denim jacket).  So Barbie, an owl, and Peter Parker (isn’t that Spiderman’s alter ego?) had a blast, lots of laughs, and had quite a haul of candy at the end of the night.

Did I mention that these little girls were fearless? Some of the yards were very spooky, but they’d charge right in.  They didn’t hesitate to take control of the Iron Throne.

Luckily, most of my pics, taken from the street, are blurry. I can post them without fallout.  Sometimes my failures are a success. Anyway, Halloween was fantastic.  It was everything I’ve been missing for the last few years.  It was all that Halloween is supposed to be - pure fun.   I don’t care what anyone says, Halloween is actually the holiday that holds the most good will.  Children knocking on neighbors’ doors, being greeted with delight and given treats, what’s sweeter than that?  Kids don’t have too many opportunities for that sort of thing anymore, and I love to see it.  We really should have two Halloweens a year just to promote this innocent kind of fun. We need a trick-or-treat day in the spring.  I’ll bet you could get every kid in America to give up Easter’s boiled eggs for a sack of candy.  But the jack-o-lanterns have been extinguished for another year and I, for one, have enough good memories to last me until the next Halloween night. And a full year to plan for it.

The challenge

These picture gave me an idea as SooN AS I SAW THEM.

The soft tunes of Hozier were filling the kitchen, a cold, eerie breeze blowing around. Y/n’s silk skirt was easily moved by the wind, revealing her colorful tights. She had knitted them herself, and was very proud.

The sweet scent of pumpkin and cinnamon made its way down the hallway, to the bedroom. It didn’t take much for Thomas to be awoken.

The room was dark, the air stuffy, as it had been occupied for more than 12 hours. If there was anything Thomas could do better than play the guitar, it was sleeping.

A small ball of fur slid out from beneath the sheats, making its way to the pillows.

“A vafanculo-“

The boy choked, seemingly unaware that Ombra had cuddled against his face.

“Oh you little bat…”

Picking up the kitten, he brought it close to his chest and tried falling asleep again.

“Meow”

“Ste zitto.”

“Meeeooowww”

“Ombra.”

“MEEEOOOWWW”

“ALRIGHT!”

The loud screams startled Y/n, who was just about to draw some whiskers on a cookie.

“Thomas, sweetheart, are you alright?” She called out, already sure of what had happened.

Low and behold, a small fluff exited the room, walking proudly towards her, and rubbing against her legs.

“Oh kitten…”

Not long after came her boyfriend too. She would be lying is she said that his post wake up look was the best. Hair all fluffy and disheveld, his cheeks tinted red, eyes half closed.

He looked soft, at peace. Well maybe, considering his wake up alarm, Ombra, a bit grumpy too. But that only made it better.

“Good morning, my love. Did you sleep well?”

Thomas only grunted in response and knelt down beneath Y/n, hugging her torso and burrying his face in her belly.

“Eat cookies.”

“What?”

“Soft.”

Y/n looked down at him, puzzled, until it dawned on her. She burst out laughing, keeling down with Thomas. His cheeks had turned even redder and a sheepish smile was now plastered on his face.

“Easy maths. Softer belly, softer pillow.”

“Oh you baby.”

Thomas took that opportunity to lean over and cuddle into Y/n, closing his eyes-

“Get. Up.”

“But-“

“No buts.”

A long silence engulfed the room.

“Not even yours?”

“It was on the table before but now no<3.”

“NOOOO”

Y/n walked away, a smirk on her face, and continued to decorate her cookies, with the lovely sound of acoustic guitar and a whining Thomas in the background.

“No! Please! This is a mistake ! A cruel punishment! For a crime I didn’t commit!”

“Oh the wings turned out symmetrical!”
”Y/n!” Thomas exclaimed.

“Yes bitch.”

“You know what. No.”

Y/n watched Thomas pick up his little sweetheart, which he had begged Y/n to adopt weeks ago. She couldn’t lie, Thommy and Ombra always managed to melt her heart, and she loved them both beyond reason.

A few hours had passed. It was dead silent.

“Oh this fuckers are up to something.” Y/n whispered underneath her breath.

Taking off her apron swiftly, dusting off the flour, Y/n all but ran down the hallway, stoping in front of the door to catch her breath.

She opened it as slowly as she could, peeking her head through.

“Let’s see, Ombra. Is mommy gonna give us kisses today?”

The boy whispered to his fellow kitten. He had somehow found some mini bat wings and tied them to the cat’s back. A paw was extended on a cursor, Thomas’s large hand holding it there, as they moved around on a Ouija board.

Y/n scoffed loudly, making Thomas turn towards her.

“Oh look. The one in question. So will she?” He asked once more, turning back to the board.

“You’re so desperate.”

“If my memory serves me well, you have praised me for that in the past.”

Y/n rolled her eyes, but opted for taking a seat behind him. She wrapped her arms around his waist, pulling him back so he was resting peacefully against her.

“You didn’t even try my cookies.”

“Im sorry.”

“No you’re not. You’re grinning like an asshole!”

Thomas erupted in laughter, turning around, laying face down on her thighs.

“I swear I’ll eat them. If you feed them to me, that is.”
“Oh how you love it when I baby you.”

The couple chuckled, eventually falling into a comfortable silence. Y/n motioned for Thomas to come closer, who happily obliged. Burying his face into her shirt, he swore he had reached Heaven.

A strong cinnamon smell was seemingly stuck to her, her warm embrace making him feel like a baked good.

“You’re napping again?” Y/n eventually murmured, brushing her soft hands through his tangles.

“Just enjoying the moment.”

oddly specific memories i have of listening to tma

in honor of the finale, and because i am a sentimental asshole, i bring you this potentially uninteresting and completely pointless list. i'm gonna miss this show a lot

half my original reasoning for listening to the podcast was to motivate me to walk on the treadmill. this did not work. but i did it the first time, when i was going through the trailers and anglerfish, and i remember the room where my dad keeps the treadmill is really dark and the spooky chanting sort of freaked me out

after the treadmill, i ended up listening to the bulk of the first four episodes on the couch, and halfway through i let my oldest cat, winnie, who always lived outside (i know, i was very against actually keeping her outside) in the house. and she jumped up on the couch with me, which she literally never did. (she was very grumpy and not super affectionate.) i had that cat since i was five, and she passed last june, and i really miss her. quarantine kind of gave us the opportunity to hang out with her a lot, because we were home so much. so i'm glad these memories are kind of intersected in my mind. (below: a pic i have from that day.)

my friend sarah relistened along with me the first time around, which was extraordinarily sweet of her, and also led to some interesting interactions. for example: she forgot when it was revealed that sasha was dead, so she accidentally spoiled that for me when i asked when the others would find sasha (and i spent all of season 2 just like. anxiously vibrating over this fact). she also made this post, when i was still in like early first half of season 1, and my immediate thought was "oh no martin is dead." i hadnt even MET martin at this point

back in early quarantine, my mom had this rule that we had to do something new every day (to keep away the depression... ha ha). anyways, all i wanted to do in my free time was sit around and listen to tma (and also watch this show i was into on netflix), so i came up with some lame excuses, one of which was "i'll give myself a pedicure." this led to the memory i ultimately associate with mag 56 (trevor herbert 2) being me sitting out on our roof balcony thing, giving myself a horrendous pedicure

another time, my family wanted to go play tennis, and they brought me along and brought a hammock for me to lay in. there was this excess material from the hammock, and the sun was in my eyes, so i ended up pulling it up and over me to block the sun and creating this ridiculous hammock cocoon thing. one of the episodes i listened to that day? "tucked in."

before i ever started the show, my friend sarah stayed with me while i was pet sitting. i remember when she got there, she'd just listened to 150 and was telling me how freaky it was (she was still trying to get me into the show), and she was like "of course we're staying on a CUL DE SAC." (that was also the weekend she watched us for the first time and was very upset because i slept through the whole thing, which is scary when you're staying somewhere by yourselves.) anyways, i spent the whole show waiting for the scary cul de sac episode

while i was listening to the show for the first time, my step-dad (an artist) started painting an EYE on the door downstairs near my bathroom. a fucking EYE. he didn't finish it til i had finished the show. but still weird!!

i binged like 12 episodes in one day to finish season 4, which is not impressive at all, but it's still my personal record. i just remember staying up late in my dark bedroom (til like.... 11 i'm lame and i go to bed early), listening to like 158 & 159 & 160 and just being knocked on my ass by how good it all was... i was SUPER spoiled by this point, through my own fault, and i knew exactly what was coming, but actually experiencing it was nuts

the second week i listened live was 167, where the public release was delayed by a couple hours by accident. i spent like 20 minutes refreshing spotify, thinking it was broken, before going on tumblr and seeing what the deal was. (and 167 remains one of my favorites of s5 because i remember just going "thank god it was worth the wait.")

this one car ride where sarah and i made some of our friends listen to the first three episodes of the show. it was the middle of the night and we were just like blasting down i40 listening to anglerfish and do not open etc

the night the what the ghost episode publicly dropped was the night after my graduation, and i was sleeping out on the couch in the living room so my grandfather could sleep in a bed. it was super dark, and i am a jumpy person, and i Remember being mildly disgusted with myself because the corny sound effects were actually freaking me out. (i think i mightve actually seen something weird that night, maybe, but that's another story.)

the weekend my parents moved me into college, we couldn't get the cable in the house we were staying in, and we were all sitting around doing nothing, so i jokingly suggested starting tma with them, and they were like ok grace. my step-dad promptly fell asleep and my mom zoned out -- which is probably good, she doesn't like horror and she's super claustrophobic, so it's probably better we never got to do not open

my brief roommate in college talked about how she was into those youtube channels where people just read scary stories, so of course i was like try tma out. so she listened to the first episode on her own, and we were out one night, and she started mag 02 while i went into an ice cream place. she was into it (she kept being like open it, ya pussy) and wanted to keep listening while we went home, and even back in our room. i had only been in town for a couple weeks, and barely knew my way around, but i also didn't want to turn the gps on and be interrupted every five seconds. so i tried to find our way back on my own. it took the entirety of mag 03, and into mag 04, before i did it. so now i will forever associate across the street with all those wrong turns i took in a dark, semi unfamiliar city, trying to get back to our college without a gps

the day of the early drop for 179 was the day i moved back home from college -- a five hour drive by myself. i ended up listening to it on the final stretch of the trip, when i was super tired and it was dark and i knew it'd probably be a crazy episode. just me full blasting down i40, drinking an energy drink (which i never do) through a hole punched in the top, listening to daisy's death

186 early dropped the day after initial u.s. election day (when we still didn't know anything). my mom had set up a "watch party" in the living room with these giant air mattresses, and we all sort of spent the day crowded around the TV watching the numbers. not much of a memory, but i remember sitting on that air mattress and listening to martin's monologue in the midst of that messy week

i had a virtual therapy appointment on the day of 187's early drop, and my dad was home, so i drove to an empty parking lot to do the session in some privacy. i was trying to listen to the episode before the session started, so i ended up listening to the last half sitting in my car, in the pouring rain, just staring at my radio in shock (187 remains one of my favorite s5 episodes)

my friend sarah had just come home for winter break the day 189 dropped, and we decided to listen together, just like driving around in circles drinking coffee and listening and speculating on whether or not that was really martin

i started my relisten right after thanksgiving and was just kind of blowing through fast as i could through the whole of december. i had to go back to college to empty out my dorm, and i went to the beach after, and i ended up listening to mag 11 while just like walking around in circles in the tide pools. the closer it got to christmas, the more christmassy i wanted to keep things, so i would like. listen in the mornings and turn on one of those Netflix fireplaces and get all cozy

my other friend went with me on a mini bagel road trip in december, and he was still trying to get caught up, so we listened to mag 169, 170, and 171 on the drive home. (by this point, i was accustomed enough to s5 and smiting scenes to automatically reach for the volume controls when jude perry and jared hopworth died.)

when i relistened to mag 47, i was sitting with my cat beezus. i paused the episode to write this big long meta, so i was in a different headspace when i pressed play again. jon immediately yelled for sasha and i immediately jumped, and beezus gave me a searing glare and just got up and left

i relistened to piecemeal while i was cooking, which i thought was kind of funny and also disgusting

after christmas, i got into the habit of bringing my cat georgia into my room in the mornings, and she'd crawl under the covers with me while i listened to tma

one story i've always liked to tell from my first listen is how when i first listened to the meat arm grinder episode, my dad asked me to help him cook hamburgers later that day and explained how hamburgers are ground up (to my disgust). i hit meat grinder in my relisten and um. you'll never fucking guess what i made for lunch that day

so i had all these arbitrary rules for myself when i started tma last april, and i've broken like all of them. i started listening to tma while virtually working -- you just pull it up on your computer and it works. (i got the life scared out of me when one of my coworkers started talking over the podcast, wondering who it was that had walked into jon's office and why he wasn't reacting and why i didn't remember it.) i also started listening a lot while driving, which led to several long meta posts i wrote being typed up in a parking lot somewhere

i spent the entirety of 194 anxious-cuddling georgia. (i tried to do this for 198 and then didn't have any anxiety to cuddle her over.) i fully plan on doing this for 200, where i am sure i will need it again

my favorite place to listen to tma probably ended up being the roof room at my mom's, and unless something goes awry, this is where i will listen to the finale. (with georgia, of course.)

this list is super uninteresting, like i said, but here it is. i'm gonna miss this show a lot. i can't wait to return to it, later in life, and make all new listening memories in the process

The first pic is one of the oldest pictures I have of Dottie, but I’ve had her since she was just past bottle baby stage—her mom was a stray cat and had some sort of issues, causing her to try to attack Dottie and her two litter mates, so we took in the crew. She went to college with me as my ESA, and now lives with me in my apartment. Her hobbies include standing in the fridge, being adorable, yelling at birds (especially blue jays) and zooming around the apartment at 2 am.
