Territorial
Pairings: Various Genshin Men x Isekai'd!Reader, Zhongli x Isekai'd!Reader x Neuvillette
Summary: Things seem to be going well when the men from Fontaine moved into the abode. Or at least that's what the others thought. You, however, can sense some tension between Zhongli and Neuvillette.
Note: How long has it been since I've posted something? A year? Over a year? Either way, I am somewhat back! Since I haven't posted fanfics in a long time, the new fanfics will be shorter compared to the previous fanfics. I'm slowly easing myself back into posting fanfics. This fic is most likely awful, but that's okay because it's been a while. Anyway! I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: I haven't written in a while, so, it's probably a shit fanfic LMAO
Word Count: 4.5k
Ever since the men of Fontaine decided to move into the abode, things were relatively fine. The men got along with each other, and there have yet to be any arguments or physical altercations. Yet. However, you couldn’t help but notice a certain someone avoiding one of the new members of the abode. You weren’t sure if everyone noticed the brewing tension between an Archon and the Iudex, but it was subtle yet noticeable (to you).
The men didn’t have an issue sharing your love, affection, and attention with the others. While there are certain men who can be quite possessive (Childe), it usually never gets out of hand. Or, at least, that’s what you thought. Zhongli has been clingy lately— not that you’re complaining, but it was a little bit unusual because he’s not publicly affectionate. Even if he is openly affectionate with you, it wouldn’t be overbearing. Okay, maybe overbearing isn’t the right word to describe it.
“Maybe territorial is the best way to describe it.” You mutter.
Zhongli hums beside you, looking over at you curiously. “Care to repeat that, dearest?”
You blink, snapping out of your thoughts before rubbing the back of your neck with a sheepish smile. “Oh, nothing! I was trying to find a word to describe a Rishboland Tiger for my word puzzle!” You gesture to the word puzzle book in front of you.
Zhongli leans toward you, peering over your shoulders and at the word puzzle in front of you. His amber eyes scan the page as if he’s checking to see if you’re doing the puzzle correctly. Thankfully, you are! Zhongli hums, stroking the rim of his teacup, preoccupied with the puzzle book. You rub your eyes before glancing at the clock on the wall. It’s almost eight in the morning, and yet here you are! Usually, you’d be in bed, sleeping the morning away until someone forces you out of bed (the person forcing you to wake up is usually Al Haitham).
“And territorial would be correct,” Zhongli nods, smiling at you, “you’re doing well.”
You smile shyly before covering your now very warm face with the word puzzle book. Zhongli chuckles, pressing a kiss on the side of your head before proceeding to stir his warm cup of tea. A comfortable silence falls over you and Zhongli. Aside from you and Zhongli, everyone is still asleep in their respective rooms. Well, aside from Childe and Wriothesley because the two men decided to become gym buddies who get up at ungodly hours to workout, spar, and box. Given Childe's past in Fontaine, you can’t help but find it slightly odd.
Heels clicking against the floors of the abode pulls you and Zhongli out of the comfortable silence. Zhongli lets out a long exhale through his nostrils before taking a long sip of his tea, looking elsewhere. You look to see Neuvillette standing at the entrance of the dining area, gazing at you and Zhongli with surprise.
“Good morning, [Y/N], … Archon,” Neuvillette says, stepping farther into the room.
You smile at Neuvillette, waving at the Iudex. “Morning, Neuvillette! I’m surprised to see that you’re awake around this time of day.”
Neuvillette chuckles, pulling a seat out from beside you before sitting. “I could say the same thing for you, [Y/N]. You’re never up this early, but today is different. Why?” Neuvillette looks at you intently.
A look of surprise flashes across your face before you smile at the Fontainian man. “Zhongli asked me to join him for breakfast, and here I am!”
Neuvillette hums, nodding. “I see. Now, did Deus Auri rouse you from your slumber for breakfast, or was this initially planned the day before?” Neuvillette interrogates.
You blink at Neuvillette and turn to look at Zhongli, who looks visibly annoyed with the Iudex. Zhongli gives Neuvillette a tight-lipped smile before sipping his tea, unanswering Neuvillette’s question. Without you knowing, Neuvillette shoots a subtle glare at Zhongli while Zhongli continues to drink his tea, ignoring the discreet yet heated glare thrown his way. You clear your throat before turning towards Neuvillette, only to see him brushing a stray hair away from his face.
You can’t help but admire Neuvillette’s long hair. His hair looks so soft, and you kind of want to run your fingers through them. “I wonder what kind of hair products he uses. His hair looks so silky and healthy.”
“Oh, nothing special in particular. If you like to know what I use for my hair care routine, I can show you.” Neuvillette suggests.
You stare at Neuvillette owlishly, mouth agape. “Did I say that out loud?”
Neuvillette smiles and takes a sip from his chalice while you’re sputtering and looking over at the Funeral Consultant with wide eyes. Should you reply to Neuvillette’s offer? But he has a hair care routine! Wait, if he has a hair care routine, is it possible that Neuvillette might have a skincare routine? Your hand starts to tremble— not out of fear, but excitement and a bit of anxiousness because you accidentally said your thoughts out loud.
Zhongli stares at Neuvillette before placing a hand over your trembling ones. “To answer your question, Monsieur Neuvillette, I invited [Y/N] to breakfast the day prior,” Zhongli says, grabbing Neuvillette’s attention. “Isn’t that right, dearest?”
You smile and nod. “That is correct! Zhongli invited me to breakfast yesterday afternoon! We walked around the abode, watched the sunrise, and here we are!” You gesture to the table happily.
Neuvillette presses his lips in a thin line, nodding. The three of you continue to sit in silence in the dining room, listening to birds sing in the distance. The more you continue with the puzzle book, the more you become confused. You start to bounce your right leg, tapping the pencil against the booklet, staring at number fifty.
“How the hell did I get into the Akademiya when I’m struggling with this damn puzzle?” You mumble to yourself.
“The answer is Fortress of Meropide,” Neuvillette says, his voice right next to your ear.
You pause and look at Neuvillette, freezing, when you realize how close your faces are. You can’t help but notice Neuvillette briefly looking down at your lips before making eye contact with you. If your face wasn’t feeling hot already, then it is now. The longer you gaze into Neuvillette’s eyes, the more you realize how breathtaking he is.
“You have long lashes.” You mutter.
Before Neuvillette can respond, Zhongli clears his throat loudly. Your eyes quickly dart to your puzzle book, breaking eye contact with the handsome and breathtaking Iudex of Fontaine. Fortress of Meropide, huh? You scribble down the answers, and lo and behold, the words fit into the small boxes perfectly.
You press your lips into a thin line, looking at Neuvillette from the corner of your eyes. “Thank you for helping me,” you whisper.
Neuvillette hums softly, taking a sip of water from the chalice. “You’re welcome. If you need any other assistance, I am more than happy to help.” Neuvillette says.
The clock ticks away, and you find yourself in another comfortable silence. Only this time, the silence isn’t as comfortable as before. Is Zhongli sitting much closer to you than he was a few minutes ago? Neuvillette keeps glancing over your shoulders, watching you write the answers in the boxes. It’s almost like both men are glaring at each other when you're not looking (they are, but you’re trying your best to act like you didn’t notice the ever-growing tension between the two refined men).
The door to the abode suddenly bursts open, and Wriothesley and Childe enter, drenched in sweat and with a towel around their necks. Childe and Wriothesley stop at the entrance, looking at the three of you with surprise.
Childe points an accusing finger at you three, “Why are you two all up in my snookum’s space?” Childe marches over, huffing and puffing about Zhongli and Neuvillette's lacking manners when being around you— his precious snookums who can do no wrong in his eyes. Wriothesley rolls his eyes, chuckling while wiping the sweat from his forehead with the white towel around his neck.
“Geez, Childe, you can’t hog them to yourself,” Wriothesley mutters, watching the ginger-haired man snatch you up from your seat.
You’re thrashing in Childe’s arms, swatting at him while muttering how sweaty he is. Childe ignores your protest and drapes his arms around your shoulders, burying his face into your hair. You shudder, feeling his sweaty skin stick to yours— almost melting and becoming your second skin.
Your nose scrunches up with disgust when you catch a whiff of his sweat. “You’re sweaty and smelly. Go take a shower,” you order, patting his head— only to regret it immediately.
Childe shakes his head, burying his face into the crook of your neck. “How can I shower in peace when I witnessed my snookums sandwiched between two men who aren’t me?” Childe looks up from your neck, glaring at Zhongli and Neuvillette, who, in return, glare back at him.
You poke Childe’s forehead. “Can you let go of me? I have a puzzle to finish.”
Childe shakes his head. “I’m not letting go of you until you return my hug, snookums.”
Sometimes, you underestimate Childe’s stubbornness and clinginess. It’s not like you don’t want to hug him! You love his hugs! However, you have an issue with hugging people when you or that person is sweaty— you don’t know why, but you don’t like it and cannot tolerate the feeling of stickiness. You grumble under your breath and reluctantly wrap your arms around Childe’s waist, squeezing your eyes shut when you feel Childe’s sweat seep through his shirt. Childe sighs happily and peppers your face with kisses, making sure to make it loud enough for the others to hear the obnoxious smooching noises.
“That’s enough, Childe,” Zhongli says sternly, glaring at Childe from where he’s sitting.
Neuvillette huffs, swishing the water in his chalice while muttering, “Have some decorum, Harbinger.”
Childe pauses what he’s doing and glances over at Zhongli and Neuvillette. The two men shoot daggers in Childe’s direction, and Childe can see the veins on their foreheads threatening to pop. With a shit-eating grin, Childe proceeds to do what he was doing earlier— suffocate you with his kisses in front of the very irritated Zhongli and Neuvillette and an amused Wriothesley.
Wriothesley shakes his head, snorting, “He’s just fucking with you two, and you two are letting him win.”
Zhongli and Neuvillette don’t respond afterward; they only continue to glare at Childe from the corners of their eyes. After some time, Childe finally releases you from his sweaty grasp, though not before placing one last sloppy kiss on your face. You give Childe a tight-lipped smile before debating whether you should take a shower or continue your puzzle book.
“Snookums~!” Childe whines, sniffling dramatically.
Wriothesley rolls his eyes with a snort. “You’re even clingier than [Y/N] claimed,” Wriothesley smirks, pushing himself away from the counter before sauntering to where you stand.
You look at Wriothesley, suddenly feeling on edge. Why is he suddenly approaching you with that smug grin on his face? Is he up to something? Wriothesley pushes Childe to the side, causing the ginger-haired man to stumble and glare at the Duke.
Before Wriothesley can say anything, you hold up an index finger. “What are you up to?” you ask cautiously.
Wriothesley laughs, his laughter sending tingles down your spine. “I’m just testing something. Relax for me,” He murmurs.
You audibly gulp, causing the man before you to let out an airy laugh, his canines shining under the dining room lights. Wriothesley, now standing three feet in front of you, gestures to you to step forward with his index and middle finger. You inch forward, feeling multiple eyes on the back of your head as you get closer to Wriothesley.
Once you’re standing in front of Wriothesley, you look anywhere but his face, worrying the smug smile will send you to your knees. Noticing your lack of eye contact, Wriothesley gently grabs you by the chin, tilting your head up. Archons, is the dining room hot, or is it just you? Wriothesley gazes into your eyes, the corner of his lips quirking up. With his free hand, Wriothesley caresses your cheek before chuckling. “My, my. Your face is quite hot. Are you feeling alright, dollface?”
“You’re up to something, I just know it,” You whisper, narrowing your eyes at him.
Wriothesley chuckles, leans down, and murmurs into your ears, “As I said earlier, I’m just testing something. Do you trust me?” His breath fans your ear and the side of your face, causing goosebumps to form on your body.
He’s up to something, and the alarms are going off in your head. You’re not worried about what Wriothesley is up to! What you’re worrying about is how Childe (and Neuvillette and Zhongli) are going to react to what Wriothesley is going to do. Wriothesley leans down toward your neck, catching a whiff of your lotion and body wash. “Hmm, you smell nice. Are you wearing the lotion I bought for you while I was away in Fontaine?” He pulls away and gazes at you with curiosity, his head tilting to the side.
You can’t help but melt under his gaze. You gulp again, nodding your head. Wriothesley nods and pulls away from you. Wriothesley strokes his chin, gazing at you intently. You can’t help but squirm under Wriothesley’s piercing stare. He suddenly places both beside your neck, tilting your head to the side.
“Good. It makes me happy to know you’re wearing something I got for you. I’ll get you more the next time I return to Fontaine for work,” Wriothesley nods.
Your eyes widen, and you quickly shake your head. “No, no! You don’t have to get me anything, Wriothesley! I insist!” You protest, placing your right hand over his left.
Zhongli clears his throat, grabbing your and Wriothesley’s attention. If Zhongli hadn’t been annoyed already, then he certainly is now. Wriothesley clears his throat before walking away— but not without kissing the side of your head. Zhongli sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose, muttering incoherent words to himself. You swallow the lump in your throat before sitting back down.
Neuvillette hums, stroking his chin. “There is a rather compelling trial that is being held at the Opera Epiclese. Your thoughts and presence would be most welcome should you wish to observe the proceedings alongside me.”
Your eyes light up, and you gasp with excitement. “Ooh, I can!? I would love to join you, Neuvillette!” You squeal, clapping your hands.
It’s not like you’re excited to see someone get possibly executed— what you’re looking forward to is being able to witness how trails take place in Fontaine. Instead of witnessing the trial from behind your computer screen, you get to see it with your very own eyes!
Zhongli clears his throat. “Dearest, I must remind you that you have some projects to turn in today at the Akademiya.”
Your eyes widen, and the pencil in your hand clatters on the table. Wait, what project!? You have projects to turn in at the Akademiya!? You rack through your brain, trying to recall if you really did have projects that need to be submitted.
Neuvillette narrows his eyes at Zhongli, raising an eyebrow with skepticism. Zhongli ignores Neuvillette’s stare and proceeds to sip from his teacup. Right when you’re about to open your mouth to question Zhongli, Al Haitham enters the dining room, dressed and ready for the day.
You sigh in relief, push yourself up from your seat, and stride to the Scribe. “Al Haitham! Can you help me jog my memory really quick?”
Al Haitham raises his eyebrows at you, crossing his arms over his chest. “Of course. What is it that you need me to assist you with?”
“I agreed to go watch today’s trial proceeding in Fontaine with Neuvillette, but Zhongli reminded me that I have a project to submit to the Akademiya today. My issue is that I cannot recall whether I do have a project to submit,” you explain, crossing your arms over your chest while tapping your foot on the ground impatiently.
Al Haitham strokes his chin, eyebrows knitting together as he tries to recall any conversations he had with you regarding your upcoming deadlines with the Akademiya. Al Haitham nods wordlessly. You deflate and collapse to your knees, lying on the ground while sulking.
“Eh? What happened to Windblume? They look heartbroken and defeated,” Venti says, strutting into the dining room while smoothing over the wrinkles on his shirt. “Was breakfast with blockhead disappointing?” Venti jokes, propping his hands on his hips.
You sigh and shake your head. You can’t be disappointed about the project submission preventing you from attending the Opera Epiclese with Neuvillette. Your project determines the fate of your future with the Akademiya, and you certainly cannot push the deadline back. Plus, you can’t be upset with Zhongli for reminding you of something so important.
Venti extends his hands toward you; you grab his hands and stand up. You waddle over to the table and plop down between Zhongli and Neuvillette while sulking over missing the opportunity to witness a trial in person.
You turn to Neuvillette, visibly disappointed, “Thank you for the invite, Neuvillette. I truly appreciate it, but I must decline your invitation due to pressing deadlines.”
Neuvillette’s gaze softens, reaching for your hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. “You do not need to apologize, darling. There’s always a next time,” he smiles at you, “If you’d like, perhaps I can make some dinner reservations just for you and me.”
A hand slams down on the table, startling everyone in the room. If the others aren’t awake, they certainly are now. You look over where the commotion is from, only to see Childe huffing and puffing with a pout. Oh, Archons, you forgot Childe is still in the same room.
“Snookums! How can you forget about me?” Childe whines.
You laugh nervously and rub the back of your neck with your unoccupied hand. You give Neuvillette and Zhongli a sympathetic look before getting ready to leave your seat to comfort Childe. Before you can stand up, Zhongli grabs your other hand and gently pushes you down, shaking his head.
“No need to console him, dearest,” Zhongli says, shooting a pointed look in Childe’s direction.
Childe puckers his lips and groans, turning around and stomping away. You sigh for the umpteenth time, resting your head on the table. Zhongli and Neuvillette both squeeze your hand to comfort you.
Since that day, things have been getting worse between the two men when you’re in the same room as the duo. Whenever you try to make time with Neuvillette, Zhongli would take that chance to tag along. Now, you’re not against Zhongli tagging along with you, but you’re sort of worried about his safety because of the look Neuvillette would throw in Zhongli’s direction. You’re not sure if the men aren’t aware that you can sense the tension between them, but if they do, they don’t seem to care about it. A week (or has it been two weeks?) passes by, and you’re eating dinner with the men in the dining room.
Usually, there isn’t assigned seating at the dining table since you want to be able to sit next to every person in the abode without leaving a single person out. But for some reason, not long after the men from Fontaine moved into the abode, Zhongli and Neuvillette decided that the empty seats beside you (anywhere you sit at the dining table, pretty much) were theirs to claim.
“But Onikabuto booboo bear! I want you to sit next to me this time!” Itto whines, laying the top half of his body on the table while giving you puppy dog eyes, his bottom lips jutting out before fake crying.
Neuvillette raises his eyebrows at Itto beside you, stroking his chin. “Onikabuto booboo bear? Is that supposed to be a nickname for [Y/N]?” Neuvillette murmurs.
Itto stops his act and looks at the Iudex with excitement, nodding rapidly. Itto quickly removes himself from the table before running over to your side of the table (which took a while because the table is quite long). Once he arrives at your side of the table where you, Zhongli, and Neuvillette are sitting, Itto pulls out an empty seat beside Neuvillette and plops down with a heavy sigh.
“In case you haven’t been, uh, informed about how things work around here…” Itto trails off, scratching his head as he tries to find the right words to say, “We,” he gestures to the men in the dining room, “have pet names for our sweet Onikabuto booboo bear.”
Itto places both hands on his hips; a smug smile graces his face. You snicker and shake your head. Zhongli wraps his arms around your waist and plants a kiss on your cheek, ignoring the looks Neuvillette and Childe are giving him.
“Oh? Please do tell me more about this, Itto. I have been calling [Y/N] “darling,” are we supposed to have a unique nickname for them?” Neuvillette asks, tilting his head while looking at Itto with pure curiosity.
Itto blinks at the Iudex with wide eyes, “Uh…” he trails off, scratching the back of his head before looking over in your and Zhongli’s direction. “Not really. I guess it depends on preferences! I call them Onikabuto booboo bear because, well, I love Onikabutos almost as much as I love [Y/N]! As for the booboo bear part, I wanted it to be unique for them and only for them. Heh, I bet other people on Teyvat wouldn’t be able to come up with someone as interesting and unique as the nickname I give to my Onikabuto booboo bear!”
You can’t help but melt at Itto’s response. You know that Itto loves his Onikabutos, and hearing his explanation of the nickname he gave you makes you feel so warm and soft inside. You pull away from Zhongli’s grasp, get up from your seat, and walk over to Itto. You wrap your arms around Itto’s shoulders and rest your left cheek on his head, stroking his hair.
“You’re too sweet, Itto. You’re going to make me cry,” you coo, reaching down to pinch his cheek.
Itto’s face turns bright red as he mumbles incoherent words. Noticing the look that Zhongli and Neuvillette shoot in his direction, an idea pops into his head. Itto wraps his arms around your waist and nuzzles his face into your chest, making sure not to accidentally poke you with his horns.
Kaveh huffs, propping his head on his elbow. “Hey, Abyss Mage, how come you give them more attention than the rest of us?”
“They love me more, that’s why!” Itto shouts, sticking his tongue out at the miffed architect. Neuvillette lifts his hand to say something, but Itto quickly stands up and lifts you from the ground. “Ha! They’re mine now, losers!”
“Wha— Itto!” You screech when Itto takes off with you in his arms.
How Itto runs away with you in his arms reminds you of a mother cat carrying her kitten, but in this case, it’s Itto carrying you. The men stand up, shouting at Itto and groaning as they watch the Oni sprint out of the dining room with you while laughing manically.
Baizhu chuckles, rubbing his temples as he watches the other men leave their seats to chase after you and Itto while shouting profanities. “I’ll be getting the first aid kit, just in case something happens,” Baizhu says, getting up from his seat to go to the infirmary area of the abode.
You should’ve known that Itto is a magnet for trouble, but while he’s running up the stairs with you in his arms, his feet slip, sending you two tumbling down the stairs. While Neuvillette’s tending to your injuries with Baizhu, Zhongli scolds the pouting Oni.
Neuvillette caresses your face in his hands, “Are you alright? You took a hard tumble down the stairs, and I’m worried about the possibility of you sustaining some injuries.”
“I mean, my arm does hurt, but—”
“Do you guys hear that?” Thoma asks.
Everyone in the room pauses, listening closely. There’s a soft pitter-patter sound coming from the roof. The sound isn’t loud, but it’s noticeable if you sit in a quiet room and listen closely. You continue to rub the arm you landed on, trying to decipher what’s making the pitter-patter noise.
“Is it raining?” Tighnari strokes his chin, heading towards the nearest window, while Aether runs toward the window.
Scaramouche raises his eyebrows at Tighnari, crossing his arms over his chest. “Since when can it rain in the abode? Maybe you’re hearing things that aren’t correlated with the weather.”
Tighnari ignores Scaramouche’s comment and stands beside Aether in front of the window. Aether peeks from between the curtains before turning to everyone else in the room with wide eyes.
“It can rain in the abode?” Aether asks.
You furrow your eyebrows and get up from your spot, clutching your throbbing arm to your chest. Zhongli places a gentle hand on your shoulder, accompanying you to the window.
Ayato hums, tapping his chin while watching the raindrops pelt the window. “I never knew that the abode can have such weather. It seems like the rain is getting heavy.”
“Now that I think about it, I believe that it has been a bit gloomier these past few weeks,” you murmur, staring at the dark gray skies from the comfort of the estate with the men who care about you.
The men look at Zhongli before looking over at Neuvillette, who ignores the others' burning holes in his head as he drinks his water elegantly. Zhongli lightly taps your shoulder to grab your attention. You look at Zhongli quizzically while he examines your injured arm with discontentment.
A small smile appears on Zhongli’s face as he caresses your cheek with one hand. “Let’s get your injury checked. I’m sure Doctor Baizhu has yet to complete the examination.”
Lightning crackling across the sky and thunder filling the air startles everyone in the abode. The heavy rain seems to have gotten worse, and it doesn’t seem like it’ll get better any time soon. Aether clears his throat and gets between you and Zhongli with a polite yet awkward smile. “I’ll take [Y/N] to see Doctor Baizhu, Mister Zhongli.”
Before Zhongli can respond, Aether quickly whisks you away while avoiding the stares from Zhongli and Neuvillette. Baizhu and Aether rush you to another room while the men remain in the same spot, not moving a limb.
Dottore snorts, shaking his head, “Who knew these two men are childish.”
Neuvillette and Zhongli glare at Dottore. A tree branch knocks against the living room window as the rain pelts the roof and window.
Note: Finally posted something after so long! 😭 The fanfic is most likely awful, but I kind of want to make a part two for it, but I'm not entirely sure if I should. Man, since this is posted, now I have to plan what else to post... aside from the HSR fanfics. I think I'll post a fanfic for HSR instead of Genshin this upcoming week, but I'm not entirely sure. I might change my mind, but who knows. Anywho! To all my new and returning readers, keep in mind that I ONLY post on my Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and my AO3 (Aaliah_exo)! Nowhere else except Tumblr and AO3!
I didn't initially plan on have a taglist for this fic, but since someone requested to be tagged in this fic, I will tag them! Taglist for this fic: @rubyninja1
Read more of my works on my Masterlist / Masterlist 2 | Maybe support me by tipping me on Ko-Fi or by reblogging my fanfics! ^^ I will also be posting exclusive fanfics on Ko-Fi as well very soon! I might post all of my stories on there too, but who knows. You can also tip me on Tumblr if you'd like as a way to show support! ^^

it’s been about a week now, and you’re already settled into liyue. you’ve caught the eye of a bunch of passersby in the city- a sumeru vision wielder living in liyue harbor?
thankfully, you had the traveler and a kind woman from the qixing named ganyu able to assist you with questions about the city. the first day you got there, she noticed your vision, and asked you all about it. it soon led to the two of you hitting off the start of a friendship in a nice restaurant- with ganyu telling you all of the things to do in liyue, the jobs that can be taken, and how magical the lantern rite especially is. you mentioned to her that you had a passion for the arts, and she immediately helped you look for a side job to make a little bit of mora to pay rent in your nice abode in the middle of the harbor.
“so, were your travels from sumeru alright? i’ve heard trudging through desert is not a very enjoyable experience..” ganyu questioned, a slight grin to be found on her face. “though, i have heard that the city down there is very nice. i would love to visit for myself one day, but with work and adeptal business it makes my days a little tight.”
you nod before replying. “the city is beautiful, especially at night. theres a gorgeous stage down there too, where a young woman named nilou always performs on special events. it’s always been the most majestic part of the city, or at least in my opinion.”
ganyu lets out a noise of fascination, before giggling a little. “i would love to watch her dance. nilou is a familiar name, some people here strictly go to sumeru just to see her. i bet she’s as wonderful as everyone makes her out to be.” ganyu sighs. “i wonder if she travels? we have nice performing places here, too.”
you nod. “occasionally. it mostly has to be a big event for her to arrive, though.” you take another bite of your food. “but i bet if i asked her, she’d come out for at least a few days.”
that made ganyu smile once more, before she asked another question. “well, this may be an odd question, but do you have any romantic relationships?”
“well, that's the reason i decided to move here,” now it is your turn to sigh, making ganyu have a confused look dancing across her face. “my partner and i got into an argument. he wouldn’t stop overworking himself, and i simply just wanted him to come to bed. but he’s so stubborn, and he took his work stress out on me. there was… certainly a lot of name calling.”
ganyus look of confusion immediately switches to an apologetic one. “ah, you made the right choice. that’s no way to treat your spouse.”
you nod in agreement, before finishing your dish and pushing it slightly out in front of you.
“well, i’m going to head back to my apartment now. this was very nice, we should do it again sometime!” you smile before standing and putting some money on the table. “here, this should be half. have a good night, ganyu!”
“goodnight to you too, y/n! i’ll see you soon.”
now, back on alhaithams end..
he hasn’t been home in about a week and a half, due to his work causing his presence nearly 24/7. that pretty much means he hasn’t realized you’ve left yet.
as he walks home, he doesn’t know how he would approach you. does he pretend the issue doesn’t exist? does he keep ignoring you? does he apologize? he thought his mind would split open.
as he walks through the door, he notices that the house is a little… emptier, from when the two of you lived together. he walked through the whole place, looking into the bathrooms to see your products gone. looking at the laundry room, met with no clothes that are yours hanging from the clothesline. and now, when he went to your bedroom…
your pillowcases have been stripped from the bed, and your pillow thrown into the closet. there were only a stack of two pillows, right in the middle of the bed. now his heart was thumping, and really hard. he looked through the dressers. the left side was barren, leaving only his side full. the thing that brought tears to the mans eyes was seeing your wedding ring on your side of the table.
so you really left him. he stands there, shocked, unknowing of what to do. does he try to find you, or does he let you go? oh, how he regrets ever talking to you the way he did. if he just took your advice, you would be in bed, waiting for his arrival. likely bringing him into a hug, shaking all his worries and stress away as you whispered questions along about how his day was.
the next few days felt like someone kept coming over to his desk and stabbing his back with blades like his. he felt so regretful, doing everything he can to stay composed while at the same time trying to find where you’ve gone. dehya won’t give him anything besides “somewhere close to sumeru that’s not sumeru.” that could mean you’ve gone to fontaine, liyue, or monstadt. how would he ever find you?
he’d ask the gaurds, and they all told him you went in the direction of the chasm. getting somewhere, but not close enough. he could walk all that way and come up empty handed. he doesn’t have an exact pinpoint on you yet.
he’d ask nilou. she’d just shrug and say something along the lines of “i heard what happened, but i do not know fully where they went.”
he walked the paths of the city, lost deep in thought. everyone thought it was a little out of character for someone such as him to look and feel as lost as he is. as much as people wondered what happened, they kept their mouths shut.
and for the people who noticed your absence, too, they’d ask different people who would likely have knowledge. but alhaitham didn’t know where to go now. he could walk the whole chasm and still not have you turn up. he could check every apartment complex in liyue harbor, and knock on every door on the outskirts. he could sail the seas to inazuma, and walk every separate island to see who may be housing you, or what commission you may have been taken in by. he could fall down the very waterfall that leads an entrance to the enchanting location called enkanomiya. he could go to fontaine, dive under the waters, walk every rocky mountain, and even visit the fortress of meropide. he could fight every monster near the city of monstadt, looking upon every rooftop for signs of your art, blown through the city of wind. but he still wouldn’t find you.
now what he doesn’t know is that you’re in liyue harbor, and nobody frets to tell him that anytime soon. for now, they’re just going to let him suffer, the same way he let you.

Ok thanks for answering my question about the Sumeru boys.
So if it's alright, I wanna request alhaitham and kaveh x afab (they/them) reader. Sfw and also nsfw if that's okay.
Kaveh being the one to bring in bunny reader when they found them curled up, all alone in the rain, injured and deciding to take them in. Kaveh also taking care of the reader. Alhaitham not approving at first but warming up to reader over time. So after a few weeks, once they know the reader better and enjoy having them around, they go into heat. They go to Kaveh for help and he helps them but alhaitham over hears them and then a threesome happens when Kaveh walks in on them. The rest that happens, is up to you.
Kaveh has a bleeding heart and that's incredibly evident when he scoops you up and immediately takes you home after seeing how pitiful you looked sitting in the rain. He tries to patch you up as best as he can, using the knowledge he does have and when you seem to be taking a turn for the better he knows he's succeded.
Al Haitham is a lot more skeptical of you. He didn't expect to be housing another unwanted house guest but he also is a little too nice to outwardly say no. Instead, he just slinks around the house and quietly disparages Kaveh for picking up another sad little stray because it reminds him of himself.
That doesn't stop him from making sure the house is stocked for three people, and he doesn't really say anything too mean to you in particular. Again, he just does a lot of grumbling about how he didn't sign up for this but if you read between the lines it seems that he's just really only mildly inconvenienced.
Kaveh's done everything he can to help you adjust to your new life. He's always willing to provide a listening ear or stay up a little later to spend time with you. You're also invited to sit with him while he works, provided you don't breathe too loudly as to avoid bothering his work. He won't exactly snap at you, but he does have his moments where he comes close before stopping himself.
When you start to show symptoms of an upcoming heat you first try to suppress it yourself. You knew of a few at home remedies you could try to do but you can't find all of the things that you'll need to properly try and make your feelings ease up.
You know that Al Haithaim is really smart and thankfully he's been staying home more often these past couple of days. You think that there's a chance he'd know more about your condition and that he might know what to do. Unfortunately however this was one of the days that he was out, meaning you'd just have to sit at home, alone, trying to figure out what to do. You couldn't help but get yourself off to try and take off some of the edge, whimpering on your bed as you cum for the nth time. It was only helping you a bit, barely ridding you of the heat of even more much-needed orgasms.
When he returns home he can hear the desperate noises you're making even just from the door. He steps in quickly, unsure if someone else was home with Kaveh, or if you were in danger but as soon as he comes to your room he quickly puts the pieces together. The desperate look you flash him makes his heart skip a beat, knowing that he thought you were cute but thinking that was all there was to it.
Without thinking he finds himself pulling his clothes off to crawl over your body, hushing you gently as he puts his hands on you. Your reaction is immediate, whimpering as you keen into his touch. You pull him into a hungry kiss, wrapping your legs around his waist and letting him into you.
Kaveh has almost the same reaction as Al Haithaim, except he's a little confused when he hears the sound of low grunting adorned with loud moans and whimpers. He isn't expecting to see you on all fours, getting absolutely destroyed by Al Haitiham. You look dumb from all the times he already managed to make you cum without trying, his cock shiny with your slick and mattress soaked with your arousal.
The picture is too perfect for Kaveh's eyes, especially since he's been hiding his burgeoning feelings for you for quite some time now. With that in mind, he feels himself getting harder at the sight of you on your knees, mouth open in permanent moans. His gaze catches Al Haitham's for almost a second too short to catch the slight nod he does towards your body. He looks down at you, the same eyes that pulled the former in now drawing Kaveh's attention.
He quickly pulled his hard cock out of his pants, getting on his knees in front of you before trailing his weeping tip on your lips and pressing it gently into your mouth. The two of them quickly work into a rhythm, finding what makes your body finally hit that point of release that you're desperate to have, loving the way you mark them up in pleasure.
They devolve into pulling and moving your body into different positions, taking turns fucking your holes and running their hands over your body. Your pussy feels spent, but despite that your heat keeps you aroused and desperate, keening into their warmth whenever they try to leave. Neither of them mind, wanting to see just how much cum they could cover your body in.

!!URGENT HELP FOR G@Z@!!
Hello everyone. I know I haven’t been posting any twst content for a while, and I am planning on doing so soon, but this takes urgency!
After some research and seeing how much my last 🍉 post did I decided that I’m gonna post this one with links to directly help families/people in G@za who need help (and I’m censoring the place because tumblr has taken down posts of other people who have spoken about the gen0cide before)
Please try to donate and if not then reblog like comment and share this to other platforms, post this to your personal account on other socials, send it to your friends and family, or even just @ people.
But before that I just wanted to tell everyone that I do have news from my first post, it’s under the cut alongside the links :-
I sadly just saw this for some reason, but still wanted to share it with you guys!!
Now for the links:-
This one if for Ahmed Al-Nasser who has two young boys and a pregnant wife who is in dire need of a c-section
This one is for Nurse Maha, she has a husband and a small boy, Nour, who’s only 2 years old that hasn’t had any vaccines or any medical help
This one is for Haneens family, thankfully she lives in Belgium and doesn’t have to suffer or watch the war currently going on, but her family of 11 do. Both her parents have chronic illnesses, and some of them are young kids.
This one is for Ahmed, who’s a father (he doesn’t specify of how much but he has a picture of his two TODDLER daughters) he has been displaced with his family and his diabetic father, they are halfway to their goal only needing 75,772kr.
I sadly don’t know anything about this next link other than they have a child who has special needs, so please do share or even better donate!
This one is for Haitham, a 31 year old male, he needs emergency surgery, but at the state G@aza is in he can’t get it
This one is for Ahmen, a doctor in g@za. He is so so so far from his goal (his goal is 15,000€ and he only has 2,778€) this isn’t even for him, bless his soul, it’s for his elderly father who is unable to walk and is need for emergency surgery.

i know awhile ago you got an ask about the alliances of the academy boys, so would u mind if I asked about the rivals? I mean I'm sure they all have rivalry with each other one way or another, but do any of them have specific rivals? like one of them just absolutely cannot stand another person in the harem, therefore purposely goes out of their way to sabotage that rival specifically? and I wonder if any of them did have specific rivals, if the other harem members would ever intervene? probably not, but maybe some of the more orderly and/or passive ones might try to prevent fights from breaking out

whenever kaeya and diluc are together with you, you're in for a very tense situation. kaeya's chosen to isolate himself from the ragnivindirs after a fight with diluc, so the two don't get along very well. it's not that they hate each other, but diluc doesn't trust kaeya and kaeya thinks that diluc is a bore. they don't really agree on how they should treat you: kaeya believes that romance should be fun, better regret doing it than not experiencing it, while diluc believes that love is locking you away where the horrors of the world can't reach you.
alhaitham and kaveh are sort of rivals, though haitham will always have the upper hand. kaveh's paranoia shoots up whenever you're around the stoic bastard, knowing exactly what filthy thoughts he has while he looks at you and pretends that he's unfazed. haitham is content to just sit back and let kaveh panic, because what could the man probably do to him? haitham is a star student, respected by the student body and faculty, while kaveh was a former valedictorian candidate who can barely keep his life together.
neuvillette and zhongli were very tense rivals when you were a first-year. the two could barely stand being in the same room with each other without it devolving into a verbal war. if they were younger they would have probably lunged at each other's throats already. but zhongli's not a delinquent anymore, and neuvi cares too much about how he appears in front of you to dare show you that side of his. thankfully, neuvi has graduated and is currently in the main island studying in uni, so they don't see much of each other anymore.
it's scara against the world, sadly :( he doesn't care for niceties, and he'll pick a fight with just about anyone. not even ayato can handle him, especially since the raidens are in a higher position than the kamisatos. not many of the harem members like him, though the sumeru men are on (kind of) friendly terms with him. his notable rival is childe, but childe likes to fight anyone and everyone so that doesn't really count.

・✶ 。゚DILUC RAGNVINDR
diluc’s need to fill you up was carnal at times, feeling his thick cock throb from where hes sinking into you as your body jolts beneath him with every wet, heavy connection of his hips. he couldn’t help himself, not when the sight of you folded in half beneath him was so pretty because he knows that seeing your pretty pussy filled with his cum will make you even prettier. “archons—you feel s-so good, sweetheart.” he gasps, his voice trailing of into a groan as his heavy balls smack of your ass with each thrust, making your toes curl from where they rest.
“i need you, please fill me—ah! fill me up..” you can barely breathe with how deep it feels like diluc reaches, the blunt head of his cock effortlessly pressing up against your sensitive spots, making your hips twist beneath him as he fucks you into the mattress. “i know, i’ll take care of you.. i always do after all.” the pace of his thrusts grow faster with his words, like he’s fulfilling his promise as his grip on your skin turns bruising, and that’s all it takes for your orgasm to hit you after a few more deep pushes of his cock into you — hitting you so fast and good you feel like you can barely breathe beneath him.
“i’m.. you’re gonna make me cum, sweetheart. you’ll b-be good and take all of it, won’t you?” diluc gasps before he moans, but he doesn’t hold back, not when you’re panting and gasping with each shockwave of bliss below him — the vibration of his groans echoing somewhere deep in his chest as his cock thickens inside of your soaked cunt. he only looks at you, so pretty beneath him as you gasp his name before he’s following you off that edge into bliss, cumming thick and heavy inside of you with an agonised groan as he grinds his cock into you. his primitive instincts take over while he continues to fuck into your messy, sensitive pussy until you’re both spent and a mixture of your cum is smeared along your thighs, following it with a few shallow thrusts to accommodate the thick rush of cum he unloads inside of your puffy walls. “i—ugh, i think that should be enough, although i don’t mind going another round.”
Tumblr media
・✶ 。゚ AL-HAITHAM
“oh? you’re basically begging me for it. aren’t you greedy.” al-haitham breathes from where he has you pressed against one of the back desks in the akademiya. every wet withdrawal of his hips is so fucking loud and each deep thrust of his cock feels like it reaches even deeper as a moan of his name kicks from your throat. your desperate attempts at keeping quiet being fucked out of your mind with the way your body is crumbling under each of his thrusts, your orgasm already so close as you hear him chuckle breathlessly against your cheek.
“it seems you want to be caught. but tell me..” al-haitham starts when he pulls back to give you a hooded look, the corners of his lips twitching into a whisper of a smirk when he deliberately slows his pace to a grind, and lets his finger rest beneath your chin when he leans closer. “do you honestly think i’ll let anyone else see you like this?” “no, haitham.. only you.” you finally manage to respond, whispery and choked off, but you can’t deny the physical reaction you have to his words, your tight cunt baring down tight around him and you both gasp before his breaks off into a smug laugh, his pace stuttering as he curses roughly and follows it with a few teasing thrusts.
“oh yeah? then cum, nice and pretty.. just for me.” al-haitham grunts, scratchy and growly, letting his fingers trace along your sweat slicken skin to roll your puffy clit as he begins to pound into you, lighting sparks through your body and your nerves feel like they’re singing under his touch. you’re more than eager to give into him after a few more clapping thrusts, arching your back as you whine long and wordless for him. the hot rush of bliss and warmth settling over your skin when you cum, the fluttering press of your pussy throwing you into an orgasm so intense you see white behind your eyes. it doesn’t take long before he’s giving in to the needy coax of your cunt and spilling thick and hot inside of you, body curling over yours with a sharp groan—pinning you to the cool desk beneath you. “arent you obedient.. good girl.”
Tumblr media
・✶ 。゚ KAEDEHARA KAZUHA
it was intoxicating, the lazy mornings you spent in bed with kazuha — grinding back into the slow grind of his hips as his cock presses against the spots inside of you that make you melt into his chest. a whimper leaves you when you feel his head dip towards yours, his body leaning over you to smear a few kisses along the dip of your shoulder, working your hips to meet the encouraging pull of his hands from where they’re messaging your hips. the pace he’s sent isn’t fast but he works you with such precision it doesn’t matter, effortlessly sending you towards your orgasm despite it still being early.
“i think this the perfect way to wake up, don’t you?” kazuha tells you, his praise dripping through your rocking body and down your spine and it feels like he ignites something in you. he makes your insides curl and ache as your lips drop open to moan his name, and his own ragged breathing cools the spit over your ignited nerves from where he’s been mouthing at your skin. “don’t hold out on me..” his words are whispery and choked off and you know he’s close when he trembles on his next thrust, letting one of his hands trace between your thighs to roll your clit as he works your body closer.
“cum for me.. please.” he growls, his jaw clenching as he rubs your clit with two fingers and you grind back into his touch before you feel the blissful feeling of your orgasm rush through your veins, making his hips stutter and twitch as he spills inside of you a few moments later. you feel kazuha’s lips press against the back of your shoulder as a means to try and silence his needy, breathless whimpers of your name while he fucks his load into your puffy cunt. but he lets the aftermath of your tingling pleasure linger as he pulls you closer, his chest pressing tight against your back with the next kiss he places against your skin. “you are truly remarkable.”
Tumblr media
・✶ 。゚ TIGHNARI
“oh, you’ll let me fill you up wont you?” tighnari hums from where he’s pressing into you, fingertips twitching tighter into your hips with the way your pussy twitches around him at his words. “i wonder how much you can take, hm?” he’s been edging you for what feels like forever, deliberately pushing you closer to your orgasm before he’s slowing his pace with a huff and a “oh no, you didn’t think i was done already, did you?” but you can’t deny how much you love it, it’s evident in the way your body responds so well to him when he rewards you with a particularly sharp thrust, whimpering when it feels like you pull him even deeper.
“oh is it too much? i’m so sorry… but i know you can take more than that.” tighnari goads, deliberately feigning an apology when you send him an adorable little wet-eyed look that makes his ears twitch, followed by the needy throb of his cock from where it’s pressing inside of you. you gasp when he begins a suddenly quick pace, rutting into you as he lets his head fall into the crook of your neck and gives you what you’ve been so eager for as your orgasm approaches embarrassingly fast,
“that’s it.. g-god—“ you feel tighnari’s hips stutter and twitch underneath you at the greedy coax of your pussy before he spills inside of you, whimpering softly at the sweet sounds that pour past your lips as his tail shudders behind him. it only makes your own orgasm bleed through you so hard that you see white, and he allows your flexing walls to milk him as he fucks his creamy load into your sensitive cunt, his hips slowing while he mumbles and whimpers into the crook of your neck. “oh but you’re barely full.. how about we test those limitations, hm?”
Tumblr media
・✶ 。゚ XIAO
it was so intoxicating to tease xiao knowing how sensitive he was, for someone who would tend to keep people at an arms length — you felt something warm burst along your skin whenever he’d let you just a little closer, like now when you’re settled on his lap and gently bouncing yourself on his cock. but you couldn’t deny that the conquerer of demons was so pretty when he was like this, head resting back as he pants softly and a flush decorates his cheek bones — sharp eyes cutting into you as your arms rest around his neck.
“do you like this?” xiao breathes in earnest, his words whispery with the needy whimpers he’s trying so hard to swallow — not wanting you to know just how much you make him melt as his cock twitches deep inside of your pussy. you give him a sweet little uh huh before you adjust your knees and allow your pace to grow faster, sinking onto his cock so good that he can barely breathe as his toes curl from where they rest, his fingertips tightening from where they’re almost curling fists at your sides.
“s-slow down.” his words are hissed, but they hold no real ignorance with how good you know he feels right now — letting your eyes trace down to where xiao’s needily humping up into your pussy, meeting your thrusts with slow rolls until his thighs are quaking. “it..ughhh, i can’t hold back.” he groans, scratchy and breathless as bliss suddenly consumes him and he shudders from where he is below you, his body curling over yours as you continue to bounce on his lap — prolonging the pleasure that hits him so hard he feels weightless before he growls. “don’t stop, i’ll give you more.”

to you, my woman al haitham + kaveh.
sum. royalty au, not with genshin lore, and a COMPLETE brainfart omg i just needed to get this out
Tumblr media
i. first impressions always count | 3.4k words
the lies and the truths: two terms that bind together to make balance. the reflection of the water in the basin mimics you. the wavering ripples and droplets that yelp each time your hand moves in it. a cold morning is what it is. eyebags that couldn't have been more protruding, a frown that holds every unspoken emotion, eyes that rid themselves of numbness — a sickening morning. you're alone, thankfully. amidst the sun's warming beams holds a dull you.
the day you've loathed has come. at the last supper, where a few envoys from the land of the righteous, sumeru, had arrived on the queen's note to deliver her qwords. it was but a slight favour on your side; hidden in her handwritten letter, she offered a deal: marry your daughter to my son. such can benefit both, if you permit. the answer lay in your palms — choose wisely, king.
her offer — or rather, her threat—held her attitude throughout. compared to your father, she's someone to worship. like a fool to a tyrant, your father had no choice. each day by the hour, does your blood seethe with hatred. annoyance for your family, hatred for your greed-ridden father, revulsion for everything that dawns in this damned kingdom.
from the second you were born, they've placed their wants on you. praising you, forcing you, making you their pure goddess. within enevis's dome was the saying "she who borns shall become she who reigns." it's derived directly from the gods that once served these grounds day and night. sitting boldly at the temple's front, the transcript reads words that were shed from the mighty himself to the new goddess. ever since that moment, to her people who live, each time a woman has been blessed into the royalty, she shall be called 'the goddess' descent.'
just pure tomfoolery. what is a deity to a man? a nobel to a peasant? a dream to a non-believer? you've been dragged on as a saintess all your life. controlled like a puppet by its master. a sing-song tale of marionette to her box; she's stuck in a neverending loop, unable to grasp free no matter the attempts. almost like you, who once tried marriage to set yourself free. at the very least, you loved him.
he wasn't anyone special — an average man, is what he was. compared to your status as enevis's sole princess, he was a pedestrian, at least. a farmer on the outskirts of town, producing homegrown crops for the capital's people (not that he earned much anyway). the first time you laid your eyes on him was when you snuck out through the window. it was idiotic, truly, but alas, it gave you a sense of peace. you had to pay off the guards that stood at their posts. one could only pray that your gold was enough for them.
nights of sneaking out turned into marriage. a marriage that wasn't approved of, no matter the pleas. nevertheless, you were a grown woman. you made your choice, even if it angered your mother.
parallel to euphoria, a six-month run was well lived. you couldn't quite clear your status as a princess, but you could've lived with him. a husband and his wife, both living quietly at their home. it wasn't the extravagance you were shaped into, but it felt comfortable. such dreams can only last a minute, unfortunately.
had you known. had you only known that your father wasn't going to let you wander off through his grip. He was enraged at your marriage. "was your vacation enough?" he asked, using your husband's chest as his sword's stand. your father looked at the victim in disgust; he never expected your vision to be so low. so vile, so impure. a shame is what you've become. running around with this peasant while holding the royal name was something the king wouldn't tolerate.
he lacked care for you — hell be damned, he never cared for you. the words write a she but a he is what your father craved. a son, a copy of himself. listening to his wife's words, he believed the sour dream of you becoming him. but alas, you showed him that a vulnerable woman will never be fit for the throne. your father did not a care for you. he didn't bother to retrieve his sword, nor did he bother to comfort you. if you wish to grieve and weep for some random, then so be it. as long as you were back by the moon's descent, he didn't care for your horrors.
quite pitiful, really. it's been hardly a week since that occurred. you weren't given time to grieve — after all, royalty never crumbles. your so-called wedding with al-haitham is due the following week. preparations will take a week. from enevis to sumeru takes roughly two days, granted that the sea is gracious. lost in your train of thought, you mindlessly sink your gaze into the mirror, hoping that soon you'll regain everything.
"my lady, have you completed your morning?" three knocks on the door awaken you. behind the porcelain door stood your lady-in-waiting, adila. aside from your nanny, she was your closest person in the entire palace.
"just a moment, adila," answering her, you scatter across the room to wear your robe. truth be revealed, you didn't do anything but splash some water around.
you walk towards the door, paying close attention not to just give up and run back to your bed. oh, how tempting giving up sounds! turning the knob, you open the door until it reaches your shoulder, preferring to just peek your head out. such actions were totally not done to observe if any of the other maids were nearby. confirming adila's sole presence, you wrap a hand around hers, pulling her into your room before locking the door.
"must i really go to the dining room? seeing their old heads will fill me with nothing but rage!" you immediately begin your complaints. although it is true that you were in slumber, you cannot deny that you overhead the maids talking about new guests that came to dine.
adila softly laughs. to her, she enjoys moments where you spew words of anger day to night. it's not often you get to speak with such freedom — even your maids are ears for your father. your every movement will be recorded. he cannot afford another shameful action from you.
"it must be done, my lady. what can we do against his majesty's order?" maneuvering across your chamber, she attends to your bed, working her hands to smoothen the silk sheets.
"to hell with him!"
───
throughout the silent hall, your heels clacked with each step, producing some sort of sound in the deafening silence. at both sides stood two maids — you don't know them. you've avoided learning of any maid the second you learned of spies planted in your palace. sickening and vile. you lack even a sense of comfort in your own wing. the stifling feeling never left; it's as if there's a constant hand pushing down your throat, preventing any particle of air from entering.
slowing your steps, you stop at your palace's entrance. they don't need to follow me. you turn your head to the maid on the right. raising your hand, you notify them both, "you need not follow me any longer. carry on somewhere else."
"but princess —"
"you need not."
"we understand," bowing slightly, they made their exit. you don't care enough to look where they're going — to hell with him and to hell with them.
mindlessly strolling through your garden, you allow your hand to glide through the rose bushes, not caring about the thorns that pierce your skin. if you were deemed impure then who would give care?
the walk from your palace to the main palace took roughly ten minutes. you can only wish that it lasted longer. entering the palace, a nauseous feeling grabs hold of you. you've only touched a centimeter in yet it's still disgusting. memories never leave — to be more exact, those memories never leave.
"are you okay, princess?" a worker, who you couldn't be bothered to learn his position, questioned about your wellbeing. his eyes observed your physical appearance. you were standing upright, like a true royalty, however the evidence of negativity dawned. your unfocused eyes tell more than your words.
"do not worry about me, i am fine," giving him an answer, you focus your vision on him. is he a chef? you wonder. his suit varied from the other male staff: a simple marine blue suit, a lengthy coat that ran down to his mid-calves, white velvet gloves that stopped at his elbows, and a chef's cart standing in front of him. from the dishes standing in it, it seems as though he's going to the same destination you share.
"are these for the morning dine? with the envoys?" you inquire. if it's the truth, you'll enter with him.
"ah, yes, it's the appetizers as the main brunch has yet to finish," he gestures to the top dish before he continues, "would you like to join me to the room, princess?"
"that'll be appreciated," nodding, you both continue on to path that leads south. hopefully one angers the gods and they send two lightning strikes down as a lesson, if that'll ever happen.
arriving at the door, the guards announce your entrance as it opens from the inside.
too bright, you think.
small, hesitant steps were taken as you tried hard to focus on your practiced emotions. you did not suffer atrocious lessons to falter at the sight of a damned family.
"good morning, all. may her rays shine gold," you greet everyone at the table. prefering to not say another sentence until it's over.
"have you slept well?" your mother asked, placing two extra breadsticks on your plate.
"i did. thank you for asking, mother," you replied, opting to not look at her or anyone.
resting his palms flat on the table, your father interrupts to begin the brunch, "let us begin the feast."
───
quite some time has passed, judging from the multi-colored clouds that decorates the sky's canvas. you're all in the main garden, discussing the final actions that'll take place in enevis. well, that excludes you. you fear that you've long blurred out their conversation — it's uninteresting and draining.
another thirty minutes has passed and yet they've failed to finish their conversation. if you're not given freedom anytime soon, you're going to start malfunctioning.
"it's been decided then. y/n, you'll travel to sumeru today," your father speaks, signing off his signature on the scroll.
"pardon me? today?" you're taken by surprise. maybe you should've kept up with at least the schedule. looking around, you begin to worry about your luggage, "and about my belongings? i don't believe they're bagged already."
"they are."
"oh, alright then," sighing, you sit back into the chair. since when did they do that? you think.
───
two days have gone since you've left enevis for sumeru. the sea was graceful, thankfully, but it didn't cease the sea sickness.
sumeru is a beautiful kingdom — you cannot deny. it's laced with greenery and architecture that symbolizes its history. unfortunately, leisure time is what you lack. preparations for the wedding will swallow every millisecond of your time. even in your slumber it'll haunt you. the carriage ride to the central city was quiet. you only took your lady-in-waiting to this trip as you do not need more eyes to lurk on you.
you don't remember much from the journey — in all honesty, you blanked out. heavens be cursed you don't even know how you got in this room. it appears to be his office. the ornaments and funiture deprive it from being named a relaxing room. his desk was the messiest of all; multiple layers of scrapped paper, crumbled balls of different colored paper, pens and pencils alike scattered across and last but not least, him. he isn't your soon-to-be husband, but he seems like someone important.
his aura is soft. aside from his shirt having the top three buttons undone, sleeves rolled up to his forearm, his coat long abandoned to the side couch, hair tied in a messy bun — is that a straw? well, it looks like someone has been sleeping out in their office.
"please, forgive the mess. i've been slaving for the new building," he speaks up, hands moving with pace to make him and his desk presentable.
"do not worry. take your time, sir," reassuring him, you gift him a genuine smile. at the very least you can be at ease in sumeru.
a smile dawns his face as his shoulders relax. seems like he swore you would've been a rude individual. finishing his... routine... he reaches a hand out to you as he greets himself, "call me kaveh. i'm the marquess of sumeru, head of the architect ministry."
accepting his hand, you follow suit, "i am y/n l/n, first princess of enevis, second to the throne."
"forgive me if i offend but are you not supposed to be the first to the throne?" kaveh asks, his confusion is more than obvious.
"i would've, however, i do not care for the throne. the archduchess is in lead for it," you explain the throne-tree to him. your answer was only half the truth — while it's not a lie that you do not care, it's also the fact that you're too lazy to rule an entire kingdom (but no one needs this knowledge).
kaveh's mouth shapes into an 'O', he nods at your answer as he sits back down. offering you some cookies, he begins once again, "whenever you are ready we can head over to his highness."
"i understand," your curiosity about the prince was immediately quelled without having to say a word. bringing a cookie to your mouth, you hold a hand under your chin for any fallen crumbs.
"heavens, these are delightful!" complimenting the cookies, you hum at the sweet taste.
"they truly are! collei made them. she's a student at the ministry of agriculture and medicine but she's an amazing baker," kaveh rambles. he's quite happy that you truly aren't a "stuck up" princess.
after some time relaxing and listening to kaveh's rambles, you've decided that you'd go to see his highness. don't get it wrong — you adore kaveh and his voice is soothing but you also wish to see your husband.
on the path to al-haitham's wing of the palace, your sense of joy return as your conversations with kaveh never ends. he's a comfortable energy to be around. much different from the sour ecstacy that drowns your home. he's a talker and you're a listener — a combination crafted by the heavens, if you will.
the stroll hadn't past more than fifteen minutes — that itself isn't the accurate time... due to kaveh's excitement to plaster your attention on the details of each pillar. according to his sources, he spent eons delicately crafting every design, paying heed to incorporate historical transcripts and symbols. you both were content with your conversations but to your dismay, all things must come to an end. that and your soon-to-be husband awaits your arrival allegedly.
"we're here! i'll escort you up to his office. he should be there alone," he speaks, holding one hand out to guide you along the staircase.
his hands are soft.
accepting his offer, you gift another smile, "thank you, sir kaveh."
"just kaveh is fine, princess."
"then so be it. call me by my given name as well."
oh, kaveh thinks. to say he's captured by surprise would be a hellish understatement. times like these are where he wishes biology never worked the way it did. the soft pink overlay at the tip of his ears surely didn't go unnoticed.
deciding to refuse, kaveh stumbles on his sentence, "i — i cannot do that, princess."
an expected reaction. you must allow him this, it's only fair as he allowed you.
"please do, kaveh. it is only fair."
fuck, he swears that he isn't this easily flustered. a simple sentence — nothing about it should be this heart-racing. is it because you said it? maybe he needs to visit the nearest hospital.
covering the lower half of his face with the back of his free hand, kaveh continues to escort you to his highness' office. unfortunately for him, he'll have to leave right after. being a marquess and a minister is not an easy job.
───
tense, awkward, and boring. what an uninteresting individual is he. you will not deny, he's quite the eye-catcher, however, he lacks the personality. the minute you entered his office, he greeted you and went back to his paper work. you cannot say he's rude — you were technically disrupting him but is it hard to give you two minutes of his time?! well, the conversation-starter lays in your palms.
"your highness, would you like a cup of tea?"
"no."
okay, rude.
clicking your tongue, you decided it'll be best to leave it in his hands... not.
it's been hours. if another minute passes, you'll give into the urges and slouch. a princess must never lose her composure but this princess might just! the time you've spent observing and making mental analogies of this prince, it is safe to assume that you hate his guts.
a princess that despises awkward situations and a stoic prince. it'll end well, right..?
"accept my apologies, i prefered to finish my documents before attending to you," al-haitham speaks, finally arising from behind his desk and to you.
"it is all right, prince," you lied.
al-haitham walks around his desk, adjusting his cuffs while he made his way to you. compared to kaveh, his energy is dull; he seems as if the light of life had been vacuumed out of his body. you keep your gaze on his figure — he's lean, to say the least. as he sits, you dash your eyes to look somewhere else.
such eyes are too intimidating — it reminds you of your father. al-haitham on the other hand, he calls for a maid to bring in delicacies and such. he will not tolerate leaving his guests deprived of food.
"would you like to discuss the wedding? everything else such as the coronations have been handled prior," he speaks up, educating you on the details you've missed.
"i don't see a reason not to," you replied, smiling at the maids as you whispered a "thank you" to them.
al-haitham leans forward to the coffee table, raising the tea cup to blow the steam.
"well, i'd first say that i will not be bedding you the first night."
"that is quite all — excuse me?" your automatic answer was cut short. just how high is his audacity? how rude to think you'd bed a man like him!
"please, take no offense. i would rather not bed anyone. it is not you, princess," clearing you from any suspicion, he continues to not pay you any mind.
"that is not — anyway, prince, i believe we should set some boundaries?" you suggested, trying your best to calm the twitching vein under your right eye.
"i'll see it done. is a written contract okay with you?" he replies. better than hearing you speak. he may be rude but at least he's tolerable. hopefully.
"yes, i do not mind." with your answer finishing the marriage conversation, you two continue on with casual topics. he's a talker, all right. it seems like he's the person to continue on once you've introduced a topic of his liking.
fortunately, all bad things come to an end. as the moon illuminates, al-haitham decided to end it here. though, before you make your leave, there are a few words he must say.
"i'll see you at the banquet. my staff will send over a gown — it matches with my suit. please do wear it," notifying you about his absolute god-sent kindess (he was forced to.)
al-haitham walks with you to the exit. a blessing of relief washes over him once his eyes landed on someone that appears to be your lady-in-waiting.
"my lady!" adila's steps fasten towards you. she smiles and then stops. who is this peculiar individual? deciding the give a bow of respect, she greets al-haitham, "goodnight, sir who i do not know of."
a chuckle was heard at the right of al-haitham's side. it appears to him that you find this amusing.
"just 'prince' is fine."
"yes — PRINCE?!" adila's eyes display her exact thought process. it's evident that she's thinking something along the lines of "dear heavens, i hope they don't behead me."
"pardon my intrusion, i will leave now. see you at the banquet, prince," you interrupted their conversation — knowing adila, she'd stumble on her words and unleash a train of apologies.
"oh, yes. let us go, my lady!"

it's alluring. a gown parallel to the morning sky, diamonds littered around its collar. silver accents adorn its front, reaching down to its very center. ruffled patterns accentuate the back, creating more volume than you could ever ask for. perhaps al-haitham has more to him than a robotic personality.
you're in awe. of course, you've had beautiful gowns before but this — this is just gorgeous. the reflection in the mirror captivated you like no other. your hands slid down the front, adoring the way it complimented your body.
"you look wonderful, my lady. sure to be most explenditurefous!" adila complimented. she busies herself with dusting off your heels as she's the only maid left in your chamber.
"explenditurefous?" you asked, rather confused about the sudden unknown word.
"no word can describe your beauty, so i made my own!" she cleared.
earning a smile from you, you softly laugh at her logic. adila's truly someone you can't live without.
"thank you, adila."
───
the banquet.. is definitely a banquet..! you're not sure if it's because you're in a different kingdom, but they sure do things different to enevis. for the past hour you've held your stance to the side; more comfortable with the option to sit back and lurk rather than to be the main attraction — which is foolish. you, a kingdom's princess, can never hide. your gown matches with that of sumeru's crown prince. only a fool can miss that sign.
swirling your champagne glass, you hum at the difference in people that decorate the banquet's room. they all look beautiful — especially kaveh. looks like he knows how to appear alive when he isn't cooped up in his office.
the music changed? you wonder, carefully listening to the soft, sensual rhythm crafted by the chior.
"my lady, would you care to do me this dance?" someone asks, bowing slightly as he holds out his hand for yours. you don't know him — it's also rather unfortunate that he isn't your type.
"oh, my ap—"
"move along. do not try to dance with her."
well excuse me, you think. it's obvious by his tone who the voice belongs to. a stoic voice for a stoic man, sumeru's crown prince, al-haitham.
he towers over the stranger, eyes oozing of annoyance and authority. al-haitham himself doesn't know why he's so irritated by someone trying to dance with you. is it not basic etiquette? dances shared with others are nothing but a noble's etiquette. nothing more, nothing less. so why must be seethe with rage at the image of you dancing with someone else at the center of the room?
"you, come with me," sliding his hand to your lower back, al-haitham guides you to a deserted room. whether you like it or not, he has business with you.
"heaven forbid! must we walk so fast?!" complaining, you came to a complete stop.
somewhere in the building's balcony, you two stand. the moon's light rains a soft, dim light across both. there's a soft wind that blesses the night. it's romantic — if you weren't stuck with him. you're annoyed that he takes action without — at the very least — talking to you.
and al-haitham? he's lost. physically, he looks bored. mentally, he's panicking. curse his mother for summoning such a breathtaking woman, really.
"you've been blatantly ignoring me ever since the universe was shaped," frowning at him, you poke at his chest. you'll do whatever it takes to show him your annoyance.
"have you any idea how sickening that is —"
huh — why is he — what's going on?
you, him, and a kiss. al-haitham's hand moves from its position at your lower back to your waist. one hand busies itself playing with your gown's jewellry as the other focuses on resting on your cheek. not that you are complaining — actually it's quite the opposite; contrast to your hatred for his attitude, you do not mind getting physical with him. he is, indeed, quite the appetizer.
pulling away, al-haitham's eyes remain in yours. it takes him a few seconds to recollect himself before speaking, "my apologies."
at times like these do you wish adila was here. you're completely out of any sensible answers. fiddling with your fingers, you decide it's to keep it short, "it's fine — but were you not the one who said "no physical contact" prince?"
fuck, forgot about that, cursing himself in his mind, he refutes with a "smart" reply, "think less of it. simply consider it practice for our wedding."
was he not — okay.
"you're a funny guy, you know," succeeding in preventing yourself from malfunctioning, you continue, "a horrible liar too."
"refrain from such assumptions."
"no!"
───
making your grand entrance at the banquet's room, you immediately shuffle away from al-haitham. the buffet calls for you — he can practice patience. sneaking to the buffet, you mentally drool at the sight of different desserts gracing your view. so many to eat, so many to taste. if the goddess permits, you can plan a robbery with adila and send her to your chamber with hidden desserts.
"what're you doing, y/n?" another familiar voice speaks, slightly scaring you in the process.
"who — oh, kaveh!" you beam at him. you've noticed that every time kaveh comes into the picture, your energy immediately restores. perhaps it's just his default power.
engulfing you in a small hug, kaveh snickers at the hidden yet loaded plate that sits behind you. using the clues, he can tell you were having the time of your life.
"you look magnificent," he compliments, completely taken by your appearance.
"you, too! your suit makes you look quite appealing, if i must," returning his compliment, you can feel yourself get giddy over his words. unlike al-haitham, kaveh's somewhat a sweet-talker. but what he lacks is what al-haitham has: boldness. contrast to him, al-haitham's quick with his actions. he acts on command but lacks to verbal confidence.
kaveh clears his throat. as sumeru's marquess, he mustn't show any signs of blushing — especially when he can feel al-haitham's stare digging two holes behind his skull. kaveh, more than anyone, knows sumeru's prince. having grown up with him, he can tell that the intense one-sided eye contact either means 1) get away from her or 2) find yourself here now. and to kaveh, he believes both options hold the same amount of truth.
"well, i have to go before he shoves me to the underworld. i'll see you around, y/n," saying his goodbyes, kaveh hurriedly shuffles through the crowd.
unable to speak due to the cupcake occupying your mouth, you wave at his running figure before returning your attention to the food.
looks like it's going to be a rather rough time being stuck between a prince and a marquess.

•End Point• Au. Sumeru Characters Voicelines/Character Actions with Archon of Death (Y/N).
Tumblr media
(A Anon asked me for this but I lost the request!!)
Cyno: "Hmm, a bringer of justice... They're skills are better than mine, it's as of they appear like thin air. Not even a step behind, seeming as if they've always been there." He mumbles thoughtfully. "But on other hand, they enjoy my jokes, not particularly laughing. At least once in awhile, they tell me one of their own. They're.. Not my taste. (VERY MORBID..)"
(Y/N): "He may be seen as a harbinger of death. But he is much more merciful than I."
Al Haitham: "Very.. Knowledgeable, possibly know all the studies of the Akademiya... I have heard rumors that a few students have gotten tutoring from them, after that, they seek them out like a animal dying from thirst. Begging for untold knowledge..
Thankfully, no student has been able to grasp or learn her secrets. It upsets me.."
(Y/N): ""A man who posses knowledgeable is a stupid man, where one without, is free." A phrase for such a man, yet, I find his ways to understand me are quite a interesting conversation."
Tighnari: "They enjoy the little animals of the forest, I often see them watch over the critters on my patrol. They never interact with them though. Except this specific one, it looks like one of the aranara. But it's off.. I've haven't see one quite like it before. It's colors and body are... Uncanny to most aranara, but the others enjoy its fellow friend."
(Y/N): "Tighnari is a well-respected man in my eyes. He takes his job seriously and enjoys it. I wish I could say the same."
Lesser Lord Kusanali/Nahida: "They're are no records of them.. But even with little to know knowledge on them. They are.. Frightening to say the least.
(Y/N): "Even with extensive knowledge, that even isn't theirs, they shouldn't claim they know all."

Let’s Go Ice Fishing!

(A/n): Al haitham and Jean are friends cuz I said so >:(
─────────── ✧ ───────────
The snowstorms have gotten less frequent and harsh during your time in Snezhnaya, but that still didn’t calm your nerves. It has been 3 weeks, nearing a month since anymore Primogems have been found. You can tell things have gotten stressful from the jumpy nature of the low level fatui agents and them being much more apologetic lately. Things have gotten to the point where you rarely see the Harbingers or the Tsarita. Though you have Lumine and Paimon and Aether when he’s not in the Abyss to talk to, the tension still hanging over your head the feeling of uncertainty starts clutching at your back a lot more as of late
You try not to let your anxiety show, but it seems that no matter how hard you try your first vessel would be more privy of you and your emotions
And her and Paimon’s behavior today, you began to grow a bit suspicious of them. What could they be planning? It wasn’t until your favorite homicidal ginger ran up to you and shoved a fishing rod in your hand, saying that he and Lumine have something planned for you
“Ice fishing?”
“Yeah, we’ve noticed that you’ve been down recently and Childe suggested that we take you ice fishing, to clear your head.” Lumine explained
“It would be good to get some fresh air!” Paimon chimed
“That sounds nice, but we should let the others know about this so they don’t freak out when they can’t find me.”
“Don’t worry about that, I already told Capitano!” Childe exclaimed. “Come on, the good fish are waiting for us!” Childe grabbed your free hand and took you out the back
You should’ve known something was up when the taller man looked around each turn before leading you to another corner, but the prospect of being outside made you throw out any reason. When you were brought to the destination, a frozen lake with 3 stools around a hole cut into the ice
“This way, your-”
“Let me help you to your seat, (y/n).” Lumine cut the Harbinger off and took your hand to help you get through the ice and to your designated stool
Once all three of you settled into your respective stools, you turned towards Childe. “So what’s the point of ice fishing?”
“Well, it’s just a way to get out. I do this to clear my head after a long mission with no bloodshed.” The Ginger explained
“So we just talk and hope to catch a fish?”
“Yeah…”
“This sounds too boring, I’m going to take a nap.” Paimon said before disappearing in her little pocket dimension
“Wait, she can do that?!” You shrieked in bewilderment
“Yeah, I thought you could see it during all the times you used me as a vessel.” Lumine assumed
You were too dumbfounded to formulate any words. Thankfully you didn’t blurt out thinking her disappearing into a mass of sparkles and stars was only a game mechanic. You don’t know how you would explain to them what game was and that they were in one without causing some existential crisis
“Okay…”
It was all you manage to say and the two took it without saying anything more. You looked towards the horizon and admired the sun that just revealed itself in all of it’s shining glory. Oddly enough looking at the ball of fiery death didn’t blind you after starring at it, you could say it almost felt comforting. The same comfort you get when reminiscing on a snack you would have as a kid but not as much as you got older. The feeling of nostalgia got you thinking on some things, the same things that been crawling at your back. It didn’t help that the silence you were sitting in made the crawling worse the seconds pass
“Hey, Childe…?” The young man lifted his head towards you. “Do you mind if I call you by your real name, just while we’re here?”
“Of course, your Grace!” Ajax said with glee
“You can call me (y/n) since I’m using your real name.”
“Okay, (y/n).” The way your name rolled off his tongue made him super giddy, all the while Lumine and Paimon watched in mild discomfort. After the initial feeling of exhilaration has subsided, Ajax quickly composed himself. “Is there anything on your mind, (y/n)?” He asked gleefully towards the end at the privilege of getting to say your name
“Do any of you think my plan of taking my doppelganger off the throne would be possible?”
“Of course I do!” Lumine and Ajax said in unison
“Do you mean that as a devoted acolyte or as just you.” You turned towards Childe, a look of earness on your face. “ As Childe of the fatui harbingers or as Ajax?” You turned your attention towards Lumine. “And as the Traveler, the hero renowned all over Teyvat or as Lumine who traversed the stars with her brother?”
The two were left stunned, Ajax opened his mouth but no words came out while Lumine turned her gaze away from you
“I don’t know if I can really beat them. One day I’m just some ordinary person and the next, I’m in this world labeled as an imposter but I’m actually this divine Creator.” You looked towards the hole in the ice to avoid the gazes of your company. “I’ve never been too notable back home, but all of you call me ‘your Grace’ and hold me in high regard. I don’t feel that and sometimes….” Tears start to well up your eyes. “Sometimes I even wonder if you guys are just going along with my plan because you’re all afraid of hurting my feeli-”
“That’s not true!” You snap your head to face Ajax who got up from his seat. “Even though you’ve been reincarnated in a human body, everyone who knows of your presence believes you can achieve this goal. If her majesty had any doubt on then she wouldn’t hesitate to tell you!” Ajax sat back down on the stool. “I believe in you as Childe, the 11th Harbinger and as Ajax, the guy from that small village.”
“I agree with Ajax. Even though I’m claimed to have done massive feats, I wouldn’t have done them without you guidance. My battles against Stormterror, Osial, and the Shogun they all wouldn’t possible without you right by me.”
“Thanks guys,” You took your hook out of the water and set the fishing rod next to you. “Ice fishing is kinda boring, ya’ll wanna have a snowball fight?”
Lumine and Ajax share a look between themselves before turning their attention back towards you and nodding with smiles on their faces
─────────── ✧ ───────────
On the other side of the world, in the nation of contracts, Liyue. Here is where most if not all of the nations’ leaders are temporarily residing due to the order of their “Creator.”
The streets don’t hold the same sense of peace and liveliness it once held, now replaced by animosity and tension so thick one can nearly choke just by breathing. It isn’t any better at the Yujing Terrace, where the world leaders constantly discuss their next corse of action and the same place Al haitham dreads going
On one hand he is grateful that he’s not responsible for the work that comes with being the Acting Grand Sage, but this isn’t exactly what he was expecting
“Good morning, would like some coffee?” Jean asked as she held out a paper cup with its contents producing steam
“Thank you.” He said while taking the cup and drinking from it
“How are you liking your stay at Liyue?”
“It’s alright, I took the chance to pick up some books that typically don’t reach the Akademya.”
“You like to read, me too! Normally I don’t get to read because of my work schedule, but I digress. What genres do you read?”
“Mainly science, philosophy, and…” A noise takes Al haitham out of his line of thought
“Is something wrong?” Jean asked worriedly
It’s whistling
Al haitham walked towards the direction where the sound comes and sees the Natlan priestess with a bird perched upon her finger
“Chimalma, good morning!” Jean greeted
“Morning to you, Jean!” The priestess waved
So Chimalma was her name, Al haitham probably heard her name before but didn’t bother to remember it
“I didn’t expect for you to talk to birds.”
“Hummingbirds are said to be the souls of fallen soldiers, it would be absurd that the priestess of Natlan to not be able to speak to the late warriors, no?” Chimalma scoffed with a playful glint in her eyes
“No, I didn’t mean anything-” Jean tried to stammer out an apology
“I joking, you really need to lighten up.” Chimalma waved her hand dismissively
“I heard the language of birds is something their Grace and only people they chose are able to understand it.” A short woman with blue hair and horns commented as she walk up the stairs
“Spot on! As one would expect from one of Rex Lapis’ adepti~” Chimalma sang which made the qilin turn her head away from the feline hybrid
“If you can indeed talk to birds, then we can use that to our advantage in capturing the imposter.” The tengu general from Inazuma proclaimed as she entered with the Yashiro Commissioner sally of whom Al haitham couldn’t be bothered to learn their names
For a second Chimalma’s eye twitched and a slight hint of malevolence can be seen but soon returned to their usual easygoing gleam. All of which didn’t go unnoticed by the acting Grand Sage and apparently the Yashiro Commissioner caught the slip up
“It seems that everyone is here so we can start attending to matters,” The voice of the Tinaquan brought everyone’s attention towards her. “are there any concerns one would like to bring to our attention before we start with today’s proceedings?”
“I would like to bring up a question,” The young clan head raised his hand. “is Snezhnaya going to be joining us? I don’t recall seeing a representative in our meeting with their Grace.”
“Despite the numerous attempts to get their involvement, they refused each instance.”
“Would it be possible to think, they’re harboring this imposter.” Everyone’s attention quickly turned towards Al haitham, each face containing certain level of surprise. Wether it being what the former scribe said or the fact that he even spoke at all. “Not too long ago they tried to construct a god that would replace Lord Kusanali, so it wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility for them to be hiding the imposter in hopes of using them to their advantage.”
An unsettling silence hung over the envoys as the realization of the words fully took root in each of the leader’s minds
“That’s absurd! You don’t think they’re foolish enough to try that…? To try and use a world ending entity to replace their Grace, right?” The horned Adeptus worried
There was a moment of silence until the Tinaquan cleared her throat
“If your assertion is true, then we need to mobilize our forces as soon as possible.” She declared, her eyes showing a flame burning within them
─────────── ✧ ───────────
Completely unaware of the arrangements being made, you throw the snowball without a care in the world. The same carefreeness you once had before being labeled as an imposter and hunted like an animal
You watch the snowball fly through the air and break apart once it missed Childe and made contact with a tree trunk. That was the nth snowball you threw he dodged with no effort, but it looked like Lumine was having an easier time getting the snowballs to hit the ginger. You shouldn’t feel too bad, things could be worse. You could be doing just as bad as Paimon desperately flying out the way of snowballs but still getting hit by a good chunk of them
“Your Grace, there you are.” A familiar voice greets you
You look back to see a pair of golden orbs starring back at you
“Aether, how did you find me?”
“I followed your aura when I didn’t sense you in the palace.”
“The spell wears off? Damn that’s really inconvenient.”
“I can cast it on you, again. If it’s for you, I don’t mind being inconve-” A snowball hits Aether square in the face. “Lumine!” Aether yelled
“You didn’t specify you weren’t in the fight, so I didn’t know.”
“Bullshit!!!”
Aether held out his hand and a clump of snow appears in it. As he gets ready to throw the snow ball Lumine tries to run out of its potential line of sight
“Wait! That’s not fair! You can’t use elemental pow-” The blonde tried to shout but was hit in the face
Lumine wipes the snow off her face and starts to grab a large chunk of snow from the ground and packed it into a ball. Aether shield you from Lumine’s and Ajax’s line of sight
“My sister is scary when she’s angry, don’t worry I’ll protect you, your Grace.” The normally cold prince told with an uncharacteristic smile on his face
“No fair, I wanna be on (y/n)’s side-” Ajax whined but got hit in the face by a snowball
“How dare you utter their Grace’s name so casually!”
Lumine and Ajax looked at each other and seemed to have reached a sort of truce. The two grab snowballs in each hand, getting ready to throw them
“H-hol up. Go easy on me!” You pleaded
They did go easy on you, Aether not so much. A barrage of snowballs were thrown at him mercilessly, but he managed to dodge a good portion of them and got an equal amount of his snowballs hitting them
You tried to throw a couple of snowballs but they always ended up missing their target and so you just decided to sit back and watch them. They didn’t notice when you sat on the sidelines, but you didn’t mind you had just as much fun watching them. Time seemed to have gotten away from all of you because the next thing you knew you realized how dark it was
“Uhh timeout guys…” You yelled clear enough for the others to seize their attack. “it’s getting pretty dark out here, we should start heading back.”
The cheerful expression on Ajax’s face dropped into one of realization and horror
“Shit! We need to find shelter fast!”
“What, why?!” You asked fear quickly sinking in
“There’s a cave over there!” Lumine said as she pointed towards its opening
Ajax picked you up and ran into the cave, he stopped once he no longer felt the harsh winds from the outside
“Are you ok?” He asked, making you look at his face, which you were in close proximity. Did he always look this pretty? Or was it that because he’s in front of you and you can see details in face that couldn’t be captured in a series of polygons?!?!
“Ye-yeah, I’m fine,” You said with your gaze adverted. “can you put me down now?”
He immediately does and a smirk graces his pretty boy face
“What are you smirking at?” You asked dreading his response will make your face heat up even more
“You know my offer still stands. The one I gave when we bumped into each other in the forest of Sumeru, us having s-” The ends of the red scarf around his neck fly into Ajax’s face and the two of you turn to see the twins grimacing as anemo particles dissipate by Aether
“Can you not try to get your dick wet for two seconds?” Aether chastises
Ajax yanks the scarf out of his face. “You’re just jealous of the effect I have on (y/n), they can’t help that they find me attractive.”
“You nearly put their Grace in danger and now trying to make a move on them while saying their name so casually, don’t you have no shame!”
“Don’t blame me, you could’ve noticed the sun setting but didn’t so act like you’re any better then me!”
Aether retorts something back but you didn’t catch it due to your attention being brought to something else. It seemed that Lumine took notice on your spaced out look
“Is something the matter?” She asked
“I just feel something pulling me towards it…” Was all you responded with
The pull got more intense the longer you stayed, immediately turning your body you begin walking further into the cave. Lumine and Ajax followed you and tried to convince you to sit back in your seat near the fire, or that is what you think they’re saying to you. Your only focus is on finding out what is pulling you deeper into the cave
You stopped at the dead end and you stared at the wall in awe of what you see. A Primogem embedded into the wall
“(Y/n), we should really be heading back. You’ll get sick if you’re not near the fire.” Ajax tried to persuade you
You turned towards your companions. “Wait! You don’t see that?!”
“I don’t see anything.” Ajax admitted
“You don’t see anything?!”
Ajax shook his head leading you to turn towards the twins
“Lum, Ae, please tell me that you see what I’m talking about.”
They only shook her head, you could see a slight blush on their faces, most likely due to the nickname you gave them. You weren’t in the mood to fawn over how adorable they both looked, you groaned in frustration and went to where the rock was embedded. Seeing the glowing stone, hesitation stopped you from touching it but pushed it aside, you reached out for it and pulled it out. The gem began to glow brighter in your hand as if it had been brought to where it belongs

What are your thoughts on Kaveh's childe being a dancer??
I'm kinda self projecting on this one bcs I like to dance myself (mainly kpop) but I wanted to know what you thought of that ☆(ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*
(Sorry if it's not clear/understandable english is not my first language (ʘᴗʘ))
what if kaveh's child wanted to be a dancer?
summary. how would kaveh react if his child wanted to become a dancer?
trigger & content warnings. no applicable warnings.
tropes, pairings, fic length, & other notes. fluff. adoptive dad!kaveh & reader, nilou & reader, cyno & reader. 0.6k words. they/them pronouns for reader. this post is an expansion of what if kaveh adopted a child?
author's thoughts. don't worry, dear!! your english is great, no need to apologize <3 this idea is so cute tbh. i love the idea of kaveh's kid being artistic. every time i get an ask like this one, it makes me so happy. it's so cute to me! artistic kaveh and his artistic child <33
Tumblr media
in short, kaveh would wholeheartedly support his kid.
that is a given, of course—he's probably sumeru's most supportive father, really. he only wants his child to be happy and healthy. anything his kid wants to pursue, he's right there cheering them on, doing whatever he can to help them research it or gather materials for it. whatever it is that their interest demands, he will do his best to attain it. thankfully, while kaveh is broke, alhaitham has the mora to fund their interests and does happen to have a little soft spot for them, so he gladly does so when kaveh cannot afford to. he doesn't make kaveh pay him back, because really...
alhaitham has long since accepted that he is, in part, responsible for [name]. he is one of their caretakers. it is his responsibility to help enrich their life.
cyno also has the mora to help out. like haitham, he has a soft spot for them, so their hobbies are usually funded by either the scribe or the general mahamatra.
(cyno isn't supposed to fund their artistic hobbies, but we'll explore that idea later on in this post.)
kaveh does worry, however.
i've always imagined that kaveh adopts his child a good while before the sumeru archon quests—several years, at least. if his child wanted to be a dancer... well, he'd do all he could to protect them from the akademiya, sneaking them into zubayr theater so they can watch all the performances that their heart desires (and he also loves watching the theater, so it's something he's glad to share with his child). i imagine that cyno would find out about this eventually. as a matra, it's his job to... stop it, or discourage it at the very least. he has to uphold the akadmeiya's rules. he has to.
...he just cannot bring himself to do it, however. the way their eyes sparkle when they watch the dancers preform... archons, the thought of betraying the trust they have put in him, betraying the trust he's built with them by caring for them in their younger years, it greatly unsettles him.
he can't crush their soul like that. he's very relieved when the sages get overthrown. he would never want to do anything to hurt them, especially when he knows that his actions will undoubtedly be harmful. trust is a fragile thing. it can only be built up after months or years of hard work, yet can shatter in a fraction of the time.
the general mahamatra is just... so, so relieved that he doesn't have to hide them from the sages anymore.
his nibling's (gn alternative to niece/nephew) passion is not something meant to be hidden.
can you imagine nilou teaching them to dance, though? i think it'd be very cute! she'd totally do it if kaveh ever approached her and asked.
she would love them, gently correcting any missteps they make and excitedly praising them when they master a difficult choreography. nilou would think of them fondly, like a little dance apprentice! she's not quite mature enough to be seen as a mother figure, however. she's more akin to another big sister to them, like collei.
(i also like to think that, in a cruel twist of fate, [name] eventually gets a hydro vision, as if the hydro archon's gaze was always cast upon them even after they left fontaine. nilou would be the one to teach them how to use it, teach them how to associate it with better feelings and memories. <3)
when sumeru comes out of its oppresive state and the arts are welcomed as they always should have been, [name]'s lil found family will all attend their first official performance with nilou. nilou wouldn't let them perform prior to that out of concern for their safety.
kaveh, alhaitham, cyno, tighnari, and collei really are their greatest cheerleaders in life.

Pairings: Various Genshin Men x Isekai'd!Reader
Summary: You invite Kaveh to lunch at the abode with the men! While at the abode, Kaveh notices how the men crave for your attention and affection. You and Kaveh have a small (playful) argument. You two can't seem to resist each other, huh?
Note: I've thought about making this story into one of those "Five times Kaveh has fallen for you" type of stories, but I ended up not doing that because... that idea popped up in my mind yesterday. It was too late for me to change the concept of it 🥹 but that doesn't mean that I love this story even less! Anyway, I figured out how to change the text from black to white for mobile, thankfully! I have no idea why Tumblr decided to make it harder for me, but here we are! Anyway, I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warnings: None... other than a small bickering between Al Haitham and Kaveh... and the reader LMAO
Word Count: 10.6k
Here you are, sitting in House of Daena, reading through your textbook to search for the answers for your botany class. You’re so close to finishing your homework for the week! If you complete the assignment soon enough, you’ll be able to go home a few hours earlier than your usual time. You look away from your textbook and rub your eyes tiredly. You have no idea how long you’ve been staring at your textbook, but it’s long enough for your vision to blur just a little. You place your pen down and massage the palm of your hands, scrunching your face up when you see the marks your nails have left on your hands. Whenever you write with a pen or pencil, you have the tendency to dig your nails into the palm of your hands, thus leaving a mark behind after using the pen or pencil for a while.
“Oh, man. I’m so tired,” You whisper to yourself as you stretch your arms in the air and let out a quiet yawn. You blink the tears away and search for a clock to check what time it is. After a few seconds of scanning your surroundings, you realize that there’s no clock near you. “Great, how am I going to know what time it is?” You sigh, resting your head on the palm of your hand.
You look down at your textbook and notebook, puckering your lips as you debate on whether you should continue your homework or take a break for another few minutes to let your hands relax. You let out a reluctant sigh and grab your pen and flip through your homework to make sure the answers are correct. As you’re skimming through your textbook, you hear bickering from a distance.
“Listen, Kaveh. I’m just here visiting [Y/N] and making sure that they’re doing okay with their studies. Besides that, I’m the Scribe.” Al Haitham rolls his eyes, pushing past a fuming blond man.
Kaveh rolls his eyes. “Ooooh, the Scribe! Big deal, Al Haitham.” Kaveh scowls at the gray-haired man.
Cyno and Tighnari look over at each other, rolling their eyes simultaneously at the quarrel between the two tall men in front of them. While the bickering between Al Haitham and Kaveh is normal to the point where students and scholars are used to the argument, Tighnari and Cyno are getting tired of hearing the petty disputes between the two men.
“Can we please not fight right now? Arguing in House of Daena while students are trying to study is rude,” Tighnari says, glaring at Kaveh and Al Haitham.
Kaveh lets out a scoff. “Listen, I don’t care if any of you visit House of Daena. What I do mind is seeing a class of twenty people,” he motions to Al Haitham, Cyno, Tighnari, and the other men standing behind them, “visiting House of Daena at once,” said Kaveh, glaring at the large group of men with a dissatisfied frown on his face.
“Oh, come on, Kaveh! We’re not going to cause any trouble!” Aether says, crossing his arms over his chest with a huff of breath.
“Does anyone see [Y/N]?” Zhongli murmurs, scanning around the massive library, searching for your cute little head with a beret on top of your head.
Cyno furrows his eyebrows and looks at the men quizzically. “Does anyone know why libraries are so big?” Cyno asks, his red eyes scanning the tall shelves with scrutiny.
Venti shrugs his shoulders. “Probably because there’s a lot of things to keep track of? I don’t know,” Venti blinks at Cyno.
Cyno cracks a smile and presses his lips into a thin line to suppress his laughter. “It’s because they have many stories!” Cyno says.
“Did you happen to take the joke book from one of the shelves?” Kaveh asks. He turns and points at the tall bookshelves that hold numerous books before turning to look over at the Mahamatra.
“And what about it?” Cyno deadpans, crossing his arms over his chest.
Gorou’s ears perk up, and he points over at a table where you’re currently sitting, face buried in your textbook while writing something down in your notebook, occupied with what’s in front of you. “There they are!” Gorou says softly, his tail wagging fast after seeing you.
Itto laughs and pats Gorou’s shoulders. “Easy there, Gorou! The faster your tail wags, the more you’re likely to fly in the air because of that thing,” Itto says, trying to avoid getting hit by Gorou’s wagging tail.
“Gentlemen, let’s pay snookums a visit! I’m sure they missed us a lot while studying,” Childe says, pushing through the crowd of men with a victorious smile on his face.
Al Haitham makes a face at Childe. “That is the most ridiculous nickname I have ever heard,” Al Haitham says, causing Childe’s smile to slip off his face and shoot a heated glare over in Al Haitham’s direction.
Diluc rolls his eyes. “Children, always bickering with each other over the dumbest things,” Diluc mutters, shaking his head in disapproval.
Kaeya chuckles softly. “Let’s pay [Y/N] a visit, shall we? I’m sure they would much rather see us than stare at their textbook all day,” said Kaeya.
The men murmur in agreement before walking towards the table where you’re sitting. Before they reach your table, a boy with tan skin and jet-black hair approaches you. They all stop in their tracks and stare at you and the mysterious boy with their eyes narrow. You look up from your book and see Ali standing in front of the table you’re sitting at.
“Oh! Ali, what can I do for you?” You ask, putting your pen down on the desk and massaging your hand beneath the table. Sometimes you wish you had your laptop or tablet with you so you wouldn’t have to deal with hand cramps.
Ali gives you a nervous smile and scratches the back of his neck awkwardly. “I was wondering if I could borrow your notes for Professor Safar’s botany class. I wasn’t able to show up to class last week because I had a family emergency,” Ali explains.
“Sure!” You nod your head. “Let me find last week’s notes really quick,” You murmur. You turn to your backpack and begin searching through it. You pull out your folder for your botany class and flip through the pages in the folder, searching for the previous week’s notes. When you find the notes from the week prior, you pull them out from your folder and hand the notes to Ali with a smile on your face. “There you go! When you’re done copying it down, you can give it to me after,” You said, smiling at the flustered male in front of you.
“Thank you, [Y/N]! You’re a lifesaver!” Ali sighs in relief, grabbing your notes from your hands before scurrying off.
A few feet over, the men can see a group of male students patting Ali on the back and lightly hitting him on the back of his head. “You could’ve asked them out on a date while asking to borrow their notes!” One of Ali’s friends hissed almost too loudly.
Ali does a double-take and glares at his friends. “No way! I can’t do that!” Ali hisses back. “At least not right now,” Ali mutters under his breath, looking away from his friends, only to make eye contact with the twenty other men standing a few feet from your table.
“Oh? It looks like one of [Y/N]’s classmates has a little crush on them,” Dainsleif says, the corners of his lips quirking up. The men are about to walk towards your table, but Ali’s friends push Ali towards your table again, causing the poor boy to bump into the table, shoving against your abdomen.
Ali’s eyes widen in fear. “I-I’m so sorry, [Y/N]! My friends pushed me, and I didn’t catch myself on time,” Ali apologizes profusely.
You give Ali a pained smile and wave his apologies off. “Don’t worry about it, Ali,” You grunt. You clear your throat and push yourself out from under the table and stand up. “What can I do for you, Ali? It seems like it’s important from the way your friends pushed you to my table with that much force.” You said, looking away from Ali and making eye contact with your boyfriends and the blond man that likes to call you an Abyss mage to tick you off.
“I….” Ali trails off, his heart racing against his chest before gulping the lump in his throat. “I was wondering what courses you’re taking next quarter! Yes, that’s what I was wondering,” Ali says, nodding his head with a fake smile on his face.
You shrug your shoulders. “I’m taking geology as an elective course next quarter. I’m also taking upper-division biology courses as well and an upper-division botany course,” You reply.
“Oh! That’s cool! Uh, I’ll see you in class tomorrow!” Ali says before rushing back to the table where his friends are watching from behind their textbooks.
You sigh and walk back to your table, fixing its position before waving your boyfriends over with a smile on your face. The men give each other looks before walking over to where you’re standing and fixing your textbooks. While walking over to the table, Xiao, Childe, Ayato, Al Haitham, Zhongli, and Scaramouche look over at the table where Ali sits with his friends, almost glaring holes at the back of their heads.
“Hello, beautiful. How are your studies?” Ayato asks, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulders, peppering kisses on your shoulders and up your neck.
You giggle and let yourself melt in Ayato’s grasp, placing your hand over his hands. “My studies are going well! I’m almost done with my homework. Then I can go home after I complete my assignments,” you said, turning your head to press your lips on Ayato’s cheeks.
Heizou points his thumb over his shoulders towards Ali’s table. “Who was that guy that approached your table twice?” Heizou asks, his bottom lip jutting out cutely as he looks at you with puppy dog eyes.
“His name is Ali, and he’s in my botany class,” You reply, stifling your laughter when Ayato’s lips brush against the ticklish spot on your neck.
Scaramouche looks over at the table from afar. “Do you sit next to them in class?” Scaramouche asks, turning to look over at you.
You shake your head and get out of Ayato’s grasp. “I don’t sit next to either of them. Ali misses class a lot, and I’m surprised that he hasn’t been dropped from the class yet,” You said, sitting back down on the seat and beginning to sort through your notes and assignments.
“A slacker, I presume,” Thoma mutters, narrowing his eyes.
You shrug your shoulders. “I don’t pay attention to any of my classmates. I’m here to get my degree and pass my courses. Plus, I’m not much of a talker in school,” You mutter, shaking your head before looking back down at your homework. You’re almost done; you just have one more question to answer then you can go home and leave.
“Do you participate in class?” Kazuha asks, sitting down beside you and reaching for the pen resting on your homework. You blink at Kazuha and scratch your chin awkwardly. How do you tell them that you’re doing well on your assignments, but your lack of participation will be the downfall of your grades?
Albedo leans on the chair, gazing at you with an amused smile on his face. “You don’t participate in class, do you?” Albedo asks, cocking his head to the side.
You purse your lips and slowly shake your head, your cheeks heating up. “I don’t participate in class, but I do speak up whenever I feel like it!” You defend yourself, the heat in your face gradually increasing the more the men stare at you with their eyebrows raised and the corners of their lips curling up.
“As long as you participate in your class, I’m sure there’s nothing to worry about.” Baizhu comforts you, rubbing your back.
Xiao looks down at the stack of paper and textbooks on the desk. “Are you finished with your work? We can leave House of Daena now if you want,” Xiao suggests.
You sigh in defeat and shake your head. “I’m not done with my assignments yet, Xiao. I’m almost finished, but this last question is bothering me because I can’t figure it out.” You sigh, propping your head up on the desk, and glare down at the last question.
Tighnari’s ears perk up, and he walks around the table and stands next to you, looking down at your homework before he makes a face. “What in the world? This has nothing to do with botany at all!” Tighnari scoffs, crossing his arms over his chest with a look of distaste on his face.
“What is it about?” Heizou asks, trying to take a peek at your homework.
You scrunch your face up. “Architecture; Professor Safar is having the class build their own botanical garden and bring it to class as our final project. I’m no architect, so the math process is complicated for me since these formulas are foreign in my eyes,” You sigh, leaning back in your seat with a small frown on your face.
“Well, if you need any help, we can ask any of the students at the Akademiya for some assistance,” Thoma offers, placing the palm of his hands on the table and giving you the sweetest smile you’ve seen today.
You hum to yourself and debate internally if you should ask for assistance and complete your homework for the week or do them tomorrow instead and take a break for today. “As much as I would love to finish my homework for the week, I would rather take a break from doing my assignments. My eyes are killing me,” you said, rubbing your eyes with your index finger.
“Don’t do that; it’s not good if you rub your eyes too much,” Aether chides, lightly smacking your hand away from your face.
You snort and begin packing your things up. “I didn’t know you’re my eye doctor, Aether,” you joke, lightly poking Aether’s ribs, making him jolt and glare at you with his cheeks turning bright red.
“You know, if you need help with anything related to math or architecture, I’m sure Kaveh can help you with it!” Tighnari speaks up, looking over at the blond male that stood far from the group, his arms crossing over his chest as he looks at the group with scrutiny.
You nod your head slowly. “Right, I will keep that in mind! But for now, I want to take a break from my homework and my studies. We can meet up tomorrow at House of Daena to go over the last question on my assignment!” You said, getting up from your seat.
Venti claps his hands happily. “It looks like [Y/N] has a new tutor on the subject they’re not familiar with!” Venti cheers, rushing over to tackle you into a hug while snuggling up to you. “Maybe you’ll make a new friend after the tutoring session tomorrow!” Venti says optimistically.
As much as you wanted to push Venti off and tell him not to make a comment like that, Venti is sort of right. Even if you’re an excellent student, you hardly go to anyone else to help you with something you’re unfamiliar with. You usually go to one of the men to help you out with certain subjects for your homework, never someone that is outside of your inner circle.
Itto leans down to Venti before whispering loudly, “I don’t think he volunteered or agreed to this.”
Al Haitham crosses his arms over his chest. “Kaveh, be useful for once and help [Y/N] with the final question on their homework tomorrow. Tighnari, Cyno, and I will be keeping you two company to make sure none of you kill each other,” said Al Haitham.
Childe makes a face. “Wait a minute, are we not allowed to come along and help [Y/N] with their studies tomorrow?” Childe raises his eyebrows at Al Haitham. “I don’t think it’s fair for a small number of you to help [Y/N] out with their studies when we can help as well,” Childe huffs.
“Wait a minute….” You trail off, tapping on your chin as you zip up your backpack and sling it behind your back. “I just realized that there’s no class tomorrow because there’s a holiday or a celebration coming up, I believe,” You murmur, tapping on your chin.
Zhongli smiles and pats your head. “Unless House of Daena is opened tomorrow on a holiday, you and Kaveh can study in the library back at the abode,” Zhongli suggests. “Though, if Kaveh does come over to the abode to assist you with your homework and studies, someone is going to need to help Kaveh find the abode,” Zhongli murmurs, stroking his chin.
Baizhu crosses his arms over his chest. “I don’t think any public buildings are opened on holidays or when there’s a celebration going on,” said Baizhu. “And since there’s a holiday or a celebration going on, you should take a break from your assignment and relax,” Baizhu suggests.
You sigh and cover your face with both of your hands, head tilting back and letting out a sigh of frustration. “You know what? I might as well finish it now instead,” You grumble, taking your backpack off and pulling your assignments back out.
Scaramouche furrows his eyebrows at you, giving you a questioning gaze. “I thought you wanted to take a break for today and finish the last sentence tomorrow,” Scaramouche props his hands on his hips.
You nod your head, pulling out your pen from the pouch in your backpack. “I was going to do that, but I changed my mind,” You sigh, leaning on your arm and staring at the paper in front of you.
“Oh no,” Gorou laughs nervously.
Kaveh cocks his eyebrow at Gorou’s reaction. “‘Oh no,’ what?” Kaveh asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
“[Y/N]’s getting stressed out and frustrated. It usually happens when things don’t go as planned,” Ayato murmurs to Kaveh, making sure that you didn’t hear a single word he said to the blond man.
You let out a sharp exhale and give the men a tight smile. “I’m fine. I’m just….” You trail off, pinching the bridge of your nose, and take in deep breaths. “I’ll be fine, it’s one question, and I’ll be done in no time,” you reassure yourself, trying to hold onto the last bits of your sanity. This quarter has been nothing but draining, and you want to get it over with already.
Albedo and Kaveh make eye contact with each other for a brief moment. Albedo gestures for Kaveh to assist you with the final question on your assignment. Kaveh sighs and walks around the table, and sits down beside you, scooting his chair closer to where you sit and leaning over your shoulders to get a better look at the question you’re having issues with.
“With Kaveh’s assistance, I’m sure he can help [Y/N] complete their assignment fast,” Albedo says. “It’s still early in the day, so there’s no need to rush,” Albedo adds.
You sigh and lean on your arms. “I just want to get it over with,” You rub your eyes. You feel Kaveh tap your shoulders, and you turn to look at him. Kaveh pulls out a spare paper from your folder and starts to write the equation down. You lean towards where he sits and look down at the paper that he places between the two of you. Everything Kaveh wrote down looks confusing to you.
“It’s okay if you don’t understand it. Kaveh will walk you step by step through the process,” Kazuha says softly, giving your shoulders a comforting squeeze.
For the next one and a half hours, Kaveh walks you through the final question on your homework. Kaveh is surprisingly patient—given the fact that he has no patience for Al Haitham at all. You couldn’t help but think back to the time when you and Kaveh met for the first time, and it was awkward. You can feel a slight tension between you and Kaveh; it wasn’t a bad tension; it just felt awkward between the two of you.
“Okay, I’m finished!” You sigh in relief, letting the pen fall on the table as you massage the palm of your hands. “Is it right?” You ask, turning to look at Kaveh, only to catch him staring at you.
Kaveh blinks and looks down at your answer before slowly nodding his head. You sigh in relief and lean back in your seat, rubbing your eyes.
Kaeya chuckles. “Since you’re finished with your homework now, let’s head back to the abode now, shall we?” Kaeya asks, holding his hand out for you to take. “It’s almost lunchtime, and I have a feeling that you haven’t eaten anything today aside from breakfast,” said Kaeya. He pokes you lightly in the stomach, and you nod your head slowly.
“And you are correct, Kaeya,” you sigh. You get up from your seat and stretch your arms in the air, almost letting a moan slip out when you stretch. “What are we having for lunch?” You ask, beginning to pack your things into your backpack.
Dainsleif points over at Thoma. “We didn’t know what you wanted to eat for lunch. Usually, we have all kinds of food for lunch, but I think Thoma wants to focus on serving dishes from Sumeru this time,” Dainsleif says. “Although, if you prefer eating something else, we can always change that,” Dainsleif adds.
“I’m okay with anything as long as I eat something,” You answer. You open your mouth to add another comment when the loud rumbling of your stomach cuts you off. Heat rushes to your face and to the tips of your ears; you place both of your hands on your tummy and clear your throat awkwardly.
Xiao smiles at you and shakes his head. “Looks like someone’s hungry,” Xiao reaches for your hands and gives your hand a light squeeze. “Let’s pack up and go back to the abode,” Xiao says softly, squeezing your hands.
You turn to look over at Kaveh, who is already walking towards the exit of House of Daena. You can’t help but feel bad that Kaveh is left out of the conversation and lunch plans. You release Xiao’s hands and quickly run after the blond man, causing the other men to cast each other questioning glances at each other.
“Kaveh!” You pant, reaching out to tap him on the back. Kaveh stops in his tracks and turns around, and looks down at you curiously. “If you’re not busy, do you want to join us for lunch at the abode?” You ask shyly, waiting for the blond man to respond to your lunch invitation.
“Looks like you’ll be making extra food for today, Thoma,” Diluc says, turning to look over at the Kamisato housekeeper. “We’ll need to make sure that there are enough seats for everyone joining,” Diluc murmurs, stroking his chin.
Thoma smiles and pats Diluc’s shoulders. “I’m sure there will be plenty of seats for everyone! As for the spacing of the dining area….” Thoma trails off.
“We can always dine outside of the estate! There’s plenty of space on the pavilion in the backyard that has a nice view of the garden and water fountain,” Aether suggests, leaning on the table with his left hand.
Heizou clears his throat. “Before we start planning anything, we need to make sure that Kaveh is joining us or not,” Heizou whispers, gesturing for the others to look over where you and Kaveh are standing.
“I’m sure he’ll join us for lunch,” Ayato says, his blue eyes locking gazes with Kaveh from afar. “Besides, who can resist someone as sweet as [Y/N]?” Ayato asks, the corners of his lips curving upwards.
Scaramouche scoffs and rolls his eyes. “He better not disappoint [Y/N],” Scaramouche says, “If he does disappoint [Y/N], do I have permission to zap him?” Scaramouche asks, looking over at Al Haitham.
Al Haitham nods his head. “Go ahead, be my guest,” Al Haitham smirks.
They hear a faint squeal coming from you, and they all turn to look over at where you and Kaveh are standing. You cheer and tackle Kaveh into a hug but then quickly release him after realizing what you have done.
Kazuha laughs softly. “I’m assuming that Kaveh has agreed to the lunch invitation,” Kazuha comments.
Itto whistles softly and nudges Scaramouche in the ribs with his elbows. “Darn, Scaramouche. It looks like you won’t be able to zap Kaveh any time soon,” Itto says, feigning disappointment. “Such a shame,” Itto crosses his arm over his chest and shakes his head with a fake disappointed frown.
Scaramouche stares at Itto for a moment without saying a single thing. A thought then crosses over Scaramouche’s mind, and a faint smirk appears on Scaramouche’s face. While Itto is distracted, Scaramouche inches his hand close to Itto’s bare torso, charging up his attack and zapping Itto in the ribs. Itto lets out a loud yowl and jumps in the air, clutching onto the area where Scaramouche has sent small bolts of electricity to his ribs.
Everyone in the library looks over at Itto with blank and mildly annoyed expressions, annoyed that Itto has disturbed the silence with his sudden exclamation. Itto gives the Akademiya students an apologetic smile, silently apologizing to them for disrupting their study sessions before glaring down at the snickering Harbinger.
“Oh! They’re walking back to us!” Gorou whispers, subtly pointing over at you and Kaveh.
You walk over to the men with a big smile on your face while Kaveh looks unamused. Well, he seems like he’s trying his best not to smile but is kind of failing miserably. The minute his eyes lands on Al Haitham, the strained smile slips off his face completely.
You clap your hands softly, making sure that the men are the ones that can hear it and not the other students that are trying to study. “Good news! Kaveh will be joining us for lunch!” You said happily. “Although he was reluctant on it at first, I insist that he joins because I didn’t want him to feel left out while all of us return to the abode for lunch,” you add.
“Well, we’re glad that you’re joining us for lunch, Kaveh,” Dainsleif says, smiling at the blond dendro user.
Kaveh sighs in defeat and points over at you with his thumb, his cheeks slowly turning bright pink. “I couldn’t say no to a face like that,” Kaveh mutters begrudgingly.
You flash the men an innocent smile before rushing to grab your backpack and pack your things. “Okay! Since we’re done with my homework now, with the help of Kaveh, let’s go to the abode for lunch!” You said. “I don’t think I can wait any longer,” you sigh, attempting to ignore your stomach, twisting with hunger.
Ali’s head perks up at the sound of your voice, and panic starts to set in when he sees you packing up your bag, getting ready to leave House of Daena with a group of unfamiliar men, Kaveh, the Mahamatra, Tighnari, and the Scribe. Ali scrambles to get up from his seat and rushes over to where you stand, almost tripping over the leg of the table.
“W-Wait!” Ali exclaims, holding his hand out to grab onto your Akademiya uniform, pulling you back suddenly.
Your eyes widen, and you stumble back, turning to look over at a distraught Ali. You give the men a look as if you’re telling them not to start anything. You clear your throat, fix your uniform and adjust the backpack around your shoulders.
“Is there something you need, Ali?” You ask politely, giving Ali a small smile.
Ali feels himself becoming flustered when you smile at him, his heart racing against his chest, causing Gorou and Tighnari to raise their eyebrows at Ali. Gorou and Tighnari look over at each other, looking unamused.
Ali clears his throat awkwardly and begins to fiddle with his thumbs. “I was wondering if you would like to study with me right now. I can’t seem to process the information that you have written down for Professor Safar’s class,” Ali mumbles, gulping his saliva loudly.
You blink at Ali and at the men, who are all looking at you, waiting for you to reply to Ali’s study date. You look over at Ali and give him a sympathetic smile. “As much as I would love to do that, Ali, I’m about to go back home to have lunch with the boys,” you said, nodding your head toward your boyfriends and Kaveh's direction.
“O-Oh!” Ali visibly deflates at your rejection. “Well, how about next time?” Ali asks in a hopeful tone.
“Yeah, we can study together next time!” You nod your head. Ali gives you a fake smile before walking away, his hands clenching at his sides. You sigh softly and turn to look at the men who are staring at Ali with scrutiny. “Okay, let’s go back to the abode now! I can’t wait any longer,” you said, grabbing onto the closest men’s wrists and walking out of House of Daena with the others following behind.
“You notice that Ali has a small crush on [Y/N], right?” Gorou whispers to Tighnari as they walk side by side.
Tighnari nods his head. “It’s very obvious with the way he acts and speaks around [Y/N]. However, I don’t blame him. [Y/N] is irresistible,” Tighnari says softly, his gaze boring into your back.
After you and the men have arrived at the abode, you sigh in relief and take your backpack off your shoulders. Finally back home, and now you have a few days to relax and not have to worry about completing assignments and studying for endless hours at House of Daena. Although you’re on break, you still want to review some course material as final exams are closing in on you and the students at the Akademiya.
“Finally home! Now you can finally relax and spend some time with me!” Heizou says, throwing his arms around your shoulders, nuzzling up against your neck, and pressing a small kiss on your jaws.
“Ahem.” The others clear their throats, staring at Heizou with their eyes narrowing, their hands propping up on their waist and others have their arms crossing over their chests.
Aether lets out a huff of breath, pouting at you and Heizou like an angry kitten. “You can’t hog [Y/N] to yourself! It’s not fair for the rest of us!” Aether grumbles, contemplating whether he should blast Heizou off of you or not.
Thoma laughs nervously and pats Aether’s shoulders. “Plus, we don’t want our guest to feel awkward now, do we?” Thoma says, looking at Kaveh from the corners of his eyes.
Venti snorts and pats Kaveh’s back lightly. “You’ll get used to the guys wanting [Y/N]’s attention. Like what Ayato said earlier at House of Daena, who can resist someone like [Y/N]?” Venti asks, looking up at the blond man who is staring at you and Heizou intently.
“That is if Kaveh decides to return to the abode after today,” Baizhu adds. Venti nods his head in agreement, unsure whether the men constantly wanting your attention would drive the blond man away from the abode.
You lightly push Heizou away after kissing his cheeks and give him a pat on the head. “As much as I love having you all fight over me,” you begin with a joke, “but I need to drop my things off in my bedroom and change out of the Akademiya uniform,” you said.
You all walk into the estate and take your shoes off at the entrance before putting them on shoe racks. You quickly rush up the stairs to change out of your Akademiya uniform and put your backpack on the seat at your desk. You walk over to your closet and pull out the comfiest pajamas you have in your closet to change into. For a moment, you stand in the middle of your bedroom, debating if you should go take a shower and change into your pajamas or just change into them and take a shower after having lunch.
“Knock, knock! Guess who’s here, onikabuto booboo bear!” Itto sings, tapping on your door with his knuckles as he peeks his head into your bedroom with a big smile on his face.
You look over at Itto and smile at him, motioning for him to enter your room. Itto walks into your room before plopping down on your bed, sitting at the edge of your bed, and scans your bedroom.
You look at Itto quizzically. “Is there something you need, Itto? I might shower soon, but I’m not sure if I should….” you trail off, pinching the fat of your chin. “It’s going to take a while for the food to be done cooking, so I might as well shower now,” you said.
You’re about to walk by your bed and Itto, but the oni reaches you and grabs your wrist, pulling you towards him. You fall lightly on the bed; Itto wraps his arms around your waist and his legs around your thighs, burying his face into the crook of your neck. You grumble and lay in Itto’s arms, letting the tall man cling to you.
“Really, Itto? This is where you ran off to?” You hear someone speak up from the entrance of your bedroom. You lift your head and peek over Itto’s broad shoulders, only to see Diluc and Childe standing at the door with their arms crossing over their chests, their eyes staring holes into Itto’s bare back. You writhe in Itto’s arms, trying to escape from the clutches of Itto’s iron grip, failing miserably.
“Itto, as much as I would love to cuddle with you, I really want to go take a shower,” you whine softly, patting Itto’s arms. Itto mumbles and shakes his head, continuing to bury his face into your neck. You move your face away from Itto’s head, trying not to get poked in the eye by Itto’s horns.
You hear Diluc release an exasperated sigh before walking into your bedroom, heading towards where you and Itto lay. Diluc grabs onto Itto’s ears and tugs on them really hard, making Itto let out a loud yelp, releasing you from his grasp. Itto gets out of bed and follows after Diluc while whining over Diluc being harsh on him.
“I wouldn’t be pulling on your ears if you didn’t sneak away to have a private cuddling session with [Y/N] while they’re trying to shower,” Diluc mutters, lightly slapping Itto on the back of his head. Itto makes a face at Diluc and Childe, letting the two of them escort him out of your bedroom to give you some privacy. Diluc and Childe give you an apologetic look before closing the door behind them.
While you’re in the shower, the men are downstairs conversing with one another while waiting for the food to be finished cooking. Kaveh sits on the couch, his eyes locking on the littlest design of the estate with curiosity. The estate is a combination of various regions; usually, combining many cultures in one space would make it look out of place and a little bit tacky, but you’re all able to make it work without it looking strange.
“What do you think of the estate so far?” Kazuha asks, approaching Kaveh with a glass cup of water and handing it to the blond man. Kaveh takes the cup from Kazuha’s hand and takes a sip from the cup.
“I hope you don’t feel overwhelmed by the estate and the number of people that resides here,” Albedo says softly, giving Kaveh a small smile.
Cyno lets out a soft sigh. “I’m sure Kaveh feels okay with being in an unfamiliar environment. If he wants to explore the abode, we’ll have someone show him around while the food is cooking,” Cyno says, patting Kaveh’s shoulders.
You walk down the stairs with a towel wrapped around your head while dressed in your comfortable pajamas and slippers on your feet. You rub your eyes and grumble to yourself while walking to the kitchen to grab something to drink.
“Done with your shower already?” Kaeya asks, leaning across from you on the island in the kitchen.
You nod your head and place a cold glass pitcher on the kitchen island. “I was going to take a shower after lunch, but I changed my mind,” you said. You turn and grab a mug from the kitchen cabinet and place it down on the island. “Now, I feel fresh, clean, and ready to eat something because my hunger has yet to be diminished,” you said, pouring water into the cup from the pitcher.
“You should dry your hair; we wouldn’t want you to get a headache or get sick because you didn’t dry your hair,” Zhongli comments. Zhongli leans onto the island beside you and gazes down at you intently.
You wave Zhongli’s comments off. “I’ll be fine, Zhongli! I never dry my hair with a blow dryer; I usually let them air dry,” you said, taking your towel off your head and running your fingers through your damp hair.
Xiao raises his eyebrows at you. “Didn’t you get a headache last time from not drying your hair?” Xiao asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
You clear your throat and shake your head. “That is false, Xiao. I never had a headache from not drying my hair. The last time I had a headache was when I was studying for way too long and didn’t give myself a break,” You said, scrunching your face up before placing the pitcher back into the refrigerator.
While visiting the abode and waiting for lunch to be made, Kaveh notices how clingy these men are when it comes to you. And, of course, you didn’t seem to be bothered by their clinginess at all. While waiting for lunch to be finished, you would sneak a couple of bites from the food while Thoma isn’t looking. When Thoma catches you, he makes you assist him with the cooking, and you don’t complain about it one bit because you continue to sneak small bites from the food.
Being the sweet person that he is, Thoma didn’t scold you for sneaking bites from the food that was laid out on the plate, ready to be served to everyone. Instead, he would lightly pinch your cheeks (the upstairs one, not the downstairs one) before pressing a kiss on the top of your head.
“Oh my gosh, these are delicious,” you mumble, both of your cheeks stuffed with food.
Thoma laughs lightly. “I’m glad that you like the food, beautiful. However, I don’t recommend eating this many while the others are waiting for food to be served. They’ll catch onto you when they see how little you’re eating,” Thoma says, poking your cheek lightly.
“They are not going to find out!” You protest, shoving Thoma lightly while holding back your grin.
Childe leans against the door frame of the kitchen. “Oh? Sneak eating while the others are just as hungry as you are, snookums?” Childe asks, pushing himself away from the frame and walking towards you and Thoma.
You gulp down the food in your mouth and lick your lips. “And what about it, Mister Fatui Harbinger? Going to pry the food out of me?” You stick your tongue out at Childe before taking another bite from the food in front of Childe and Thoma.
Childe takes the food from your hands and takes a bite of it before putting you in a headlock, rubbing the top of your head with his knuckles. You squirm in Childe’s hold and lightly punch Childe’s back, trying to escape Childe’s iron grip. Childe and Thoma bark out a laugh and give each other a high five before Childe releases you from his grasp. You mumble incoherent words to yourself and fix your messy hair with a deep frown on your face.
Aether and Heizou burst through the kitchen door. “Hey, is lunch ready yet? I would figure that lunch is almost ready, given the fact that [Y/N] is helping as well,” Aether says, cocking his eyebrows at you, Childe, and Thoma.
“Yeah, some of us are starting to get really hungry, and I can hear Itto’s stomach growl. He even said that he might sacrifice one of his onikabutos if he doesn’t eat anything soon,” Heizou chuckles, shaking his head.
You nod your head slowly. “Lunch is ready, actually! We were just distracted because someone,” you give Childe a small glare, “was putting me in a headlock,” you said. You let out a sharp sigh jokingly before grabbing onto the plates. “I’ll be bringing lunch out for everyone to eat now. Tell them to sit at the pavilion,” you said to Aether and Heizou.
They jokingly salute you before running off to tell the other men. You, Childe, and Thoma walk out of the kitchen and head towards the hallway that leads to the pavilion outside of the estate. It’s a grand pavilion that can hold up to about fifty people or more. You’re not sure if there will be fifty people in the abode, but it’s nice to prepare for an occasion like that.
You place the food down on the table and walk over to the sheer curtains that hang around the pavilion. You draw the curtains and watch the curtain unfurl itself, covering the table from the blinding sunlight and pesky bugs. You hear Itto let out a loud sigh in relief as he plops himself down on an empty seat, beginning to fill his plate with food.
“Man, I am starving! I was so close to sacrificing one of my onikabutos,” Itto says dramatically, taking a large chunk of bite from the golden chicken burger, moaning in delight when the food touches his tongue.
Venti laughs and looks over at Gorou and Ayato. “He’s joking, right?” Venti asks.
Ayato makes a face and shakes his head, sipping his water. “I wish he were kidding, but this is Itto we’re talking about,” Ayato says, placing his cup down on the table before grabbing his chopsticks.
Gorou nods his head in agreement. “Itto is an interesting guy, but that’s what makes him special,” Gorou says, patting Itto’s head lightly.
Scaramouche snorts and nods his head. “Real special, alright. He looks like he has never had a single coherent thought in his entire life,” Scaramouche says, pressing his lips into thin lines to prevent himself from laughing.
“Thanks, man! That’s probably the nicest thing you’ve said to me since the beginning of our meeting!” Itto says, patting Scaramouche’s back roughly, making Scaramouche almost choke on his food.
Lunch went surprisingly smoothly. The men who didn’t know Kaveh much took some time to get to know the blond man more. You sit to the side, eating your lunch while unintentionally staring off into space, drowning out the conversations around you while robotically bringing food up to your mouth and taking a bite out of them. When some of the men ask you questions, you would hum in response or give them short replies, still staring off into space.
“Oh, don’t mind them. They usually stare off into space when they’re getting tired,” Tighnari says, rubbing your back lightly from beside you.
You blink and slowly bring yourself out of your daydream. “Yeah, I’m starting to get tired,” you sigh, rubbing your eyes with your left hand. “I think it's because of me sneak-eating,” you whisper to yourself.
Cyno raises his eyebrows at you, leaning back in his seat. “Sneak eating, you say?” Cyno asks softly, the corners of his lips tilting up with amusement.
You clear your throat. “If you’ll excuse me, I am going to wash my dishes and take a nap,” you state. You get up from your seat with your plate in your hands, only for Al Haitham to grab hold of your wrist and pull you down on his lap.
“Do you not want to give Kaveh a tour around the abode?” Al Haitham asks, wrapping his arms around your waist while gazing down at you with his eyebrows slightly raised.
You blink at Al Haitham and look over at Kaveh. “Do you want me to give you a tour around the abode? If not, one of the guys can do it instead if you prefer that,” you suggest.
Kaveh sighs and slightly tilts his head back, his Adam's apple bobbing up and down when he swallows his saliva. “I guess I don’t mind having a little abyss mage give me a tour around the vast abode,” Kaveh says dramatically, letting his fringe fall over his eyes as he looks around the abode. You let out a choked gasp and looked at Kaveh, flabbergasted. You turn to look at Al Haitham and point at the blond man.
“Did you hear what he called me?! He called me an abyss mage!” You whine, tugging on Al Haitham’s shirt. “He’s indirectly calling me a gremlin, Al Haitham!” You said, turning to look at Kaveh with a glare on your face.
Kaveh smirks at you and looks away to hide the color pink that is slowly making its way up to his cheeks. Al Haitham sighs and makes you rest your head on his chest while giving Kaveh a look, his eyebrows raised and his eyes sharp as if he’s warning Kaveh to watch his mouth. You grumble and bury your face into Al Haitham’s neck as you start to question whether you should even give Kaveh a tour around the abode without being tempted to kick him over the edge for calling you an abyss mage.
“What is a gremlin, anyway?” Baizhu mutters, looking at you and Kaveh in confusion.
You slowly lift your face up from Al Haitham’s neck, about to answer Baizhu’s question, when Kaveh beats you to it. Kaveh looks over at Baizhu and points over in your direction. You stare at Kaveh with your mouth wide open, flabbergasted that he not only called you an abyss mage but pointed at you when Baizhu asked what a gremlin was.
“You’re lucky you’re Al Haitham’s roommate, or else I would’ve kicked you off the edge of the abode,” you scowled at Kaveh.
You grab a piece of bread roll and chuck it at the blond man sitting across from you. Kaveh quickly catches the bread roll and takes a bite out of it, smirking at you victoriously. You bristle with anger and jump out of Al Haitham’s lap, ready to lunge at the blond man that is mocking you from across the table.
“Don’t let him get to you, angel.” Diluc sighs, reaching over and pulling you down onto his lap. You growl and let yourself be engulfed in Diluc’s arms. You hold your hands up in front of you, making choking hand gestures at Kaveh while Diluc strokes your hair with his gloved hands, muttering comforting words into your ears.
Kaveh lets out an amused huff of breath, his shoulders bouncing as he laughs quietly to himself. Looking at you from across the table, you remind Kaveh of an angry feral kitten. Tail puffs up, back curving, hissing and spitting at him, trying to claw at him to fend for itself. But you know what reminds him of you the most? An abyss mage, especially the hydro abyss mages, because out of all of the elemental abyss mages, the hydro ones are the most annoying.
Xiao sighs and shakes his head. “I would advise you not to annoy [Y/N] any further. Childe has trained them in combat. Unless you want them to put you in your spot, I wouldn’t test [Y/N]’s patience if I were you,” Xiao states, shooting a small glare in Kaveh’s direction.
Kaeya chuckles and shakes his head. “I have never seen [Y/N] get this so worked up over someone. It’s cute but also a little terrifying,” the corners of Kaeya’s lips curl up.
Albedo looks over at you; you seem calmer now. You sit on Diluc’s lap with Diluc’s arms wrapping around you, his chin resting on the top of your head while stroking your hair. You slump against Diluc and let out a sigh through your nose, beginning to stare off into space. Albedo chuckles to himself and shakes his head.
“[Y/N], I think you should start giving Kaveh a tour around the abode now if you want to get it over with,” Albedo says softly.
You mumble and bury yourself further against Diluc’s chest. “I don’t think I want to give Kaveh a tour around the abode anymore,” you mutter. “He’s going to be calling an abyss mage the entire time during the tour,” you said.
Kazuha laughs and stands next to you and Diluc before giving your hand a gentle squeeze. “Come on, [Y/N]. It can’t be that bad,” Kazuha says softly.
“Might as well get it over with, you know? The longer you hold it off, the more you’re going to dread it,” Dainsleif says, wiping his plush lips with a cloth napkin.
You let out a long sigh and let your head hang low before slowly lifting your head. “I suppose that you’re right about that….” You trail off, slowly getting off of Diluc’s lap. “Fine, I’ll give Kaveh a tour around the abode now. In the meantime, I might contemplate dropping out of the Akademiya to avoid seeing his face,” you said, pointing at Kaveh.
Zhongli gives you a look. “You wouldn’t do that, especially when you went through the application process and took placement exams,” Zhongli says, taking a sip from his teacup.
“Yeah, you’re right,” you mumble, sighing in defeat. “Okay, come on, Kaveh. Let me give you a tour around our humble abode before you leave,” you said.
Kaveh gets up from his seat and follows after you, giving the men a polite smile before quickly flashing Al Haitham a middle finger as he walks off. Al Haitham rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
“Ah, how juvenile.” Dottore sighs dramatically, approaching the men with the other three Harbingers following after him.
Pierro watches Kaveh from afar, his arms over his chest. “Are you sure you want to leave [Y/N] alone with that blond boy? I don’t have a good feeling about him,” Pierro says, crossing his arms over his chest.
Scaramouche rolls his eyes. “And we don’t have a good feeling about the four of you,” Scaramouche retorts, narrowing his eyes at Pierro.
Diluc lets out a humorless laugh and rolls his eyes at Pierro’s comment. “You people should be the last ones to talk about who’s trustworthy and who’s not,” said Diluc.
Pantalone looks at Diluc, surprised by his comment, pressing his hand against his chest. “My, my. Still have trust issues?” Pantalone asks, giving Diluc a fake smile.
“If [Y/N] can put their trust in us, then all of you shouldn’t have an issue with trusting us,” Capitano says gruffly.
Tighnari frowns. “[Y/N]’s too trusting; that’s the problem,” Tighnari says softly, clenching his hands into tight fists.
Meanwhile, on the middle island of the abode, you and Kaveh stand three feet from each other. You point at the bathhouse that is surrounded by cat-shaped plants. “This is where we relax. You can either go to the bathhouse on your own or be accompanied by your friends,” you said unenthusiastically.
“Why would anyone want to go there with someone else other than to have company?” Kaveh asks, raising his eyebrows at you.
You let out a small “pfft” before answering his question, “Because who wouldn’t want to see shirtless, sweaty men?” You ask, narrowing your eyes at the blond man.
“Me! I don’t want to see shirtless, sweaty men,” Kaveh deadpans.
You make a face. “Well, you should because it will change your life,” you said, walking towards the garden where the men plant various flowers from different regions. Kaveh follows behind you and raises his eyebrows at your response to his comment.
“Change my life as in what? Traumatize me?” Kaveh asks, crossing his arms over his chest, letting the wind blow in his face.
You open your mouth to retort but close your mouth with a huff. There was no use in arguing with someone like Kaveh. Al Haitham has told you many things about Kaveh and the arguments that they would get into over the pettiest things. This was probably one of them.
“Aside from the bathhouse, we have a garden that consists of many flora and fauna of Teyvat! The Harbingers have a botanical garden as well, but we’re not stepping foot in their estate because….” You trailed off, giving Kaveh a fake smile, “because we don’t have permission to enter their estate!” You said.
Kaveh cocks his eyebrows at you. “You hesitated,” Kaveh says.
“I talk slow sometimes; it’s normal,” you reply, brushing off Kaveh’s comment. “I need to find the right words, or else I’ll stumble over my sentences,” you said. You clear your throat and continue to give Kaveh a tour of one of the biggest gardens in the abode. You’re not much of a plant parent, but you’re proud of how well these plants are growing in another environment.
Kaveh walks beside you, gazing down at you curiously. “Why do those four Harbingers reside here? Their presence feels out of place,” Kaveh says softly.
You shrug your shoulders and look at the field of glaze lilies, silk flowers, lamp grass, cecilias, and calla lilies. “They just invited themselves along,” you said, tapping on your chin. “It was a bit strange at first, but they’re nice!” You said, smiling up at Kaveh.
Taken aback by the sight of your smile, Kaveh looks at the garden and clears his throat, his cheeks warming up. “Their presence puts a damper on the bright atmosphere of this abode. I mean, look at their estate,” Kaveh motions his head towards the tall, black, and gray estate. “It looks ominous, as if it’s holding many secrets and experiments that go unseen,” Kaveh says.
You laugh nervously and scratch your arm lightly, goosebumps beginning to form on your arms. “You’re starting to freak me out a little bit with your comment, Kaveh,” you said softly.
Kaveh’s eyes soften, and he sighs quietly. Kaveh places his hand on your shoulders, “I didn’t mean to frighten you with the way I speak about their estate and their presence,” Kaveh murmurs. “I know that you’re in safe hands when living with Al Haitham and the others, but the Doctor is a dangerous man. I can’t fathom the fact that he is living in the abode with you, someone evil like him, living under the same teapot with someone as harmless as you,” Kaveh says.
You blink at Kaveh. “You said that I’m harmless, but you call me an abyss mage many times,” you commented.
Kaveh snorts and wraps his arms around your shoulders, pulling you close to him, and rubs the top of your head lightly with his knuckles. “It’s an endearing nickname! Kind of like how that big oaf of an oni calls you onikabuto booboo bear,” Kaveh smirks.
“I-” You’re rendered speechless and let out a scoff. You lightly hit Kaveh’s arms and let him continue to have his arms wrap around your shoulders, your head resting on his chest. “How is an abyss mage endearing?! They’re little shits!” You exclaim.
“Exactly! And that is what you are: a little shit!” Kaveh cackles, his head thrown back, his body shaking with laughter. Your jaw drops, and you elbow Kaveh in the gut, making Kaveh release you from his grasp. You glare at Kaveh and smack him upside of his head as he continues to howl with laughter. Seeing the immense joy on Kaveh’s face, the sound of his laugh, and his pretty he looks when he smiles so widely, makes you feel some kind of way. A smile slowly makes its way up your face as heat slowly creeps onto your cheeks and to the tip of your ears. Kaveh is undeniably beautiful, and you can’t help but admire his beauty. Kaveh wipes the tears from his eyes and looks down at you; you look away from Kaveh, covering up your smile with a dramatic pout while crossing your arms over your chest.
“You’re rude and have no manners. Maybe that’s why you’re single,” you mutter, walking away from Kaveh and heading toward the last floating island in the abode.
Kaveh stares after you, his mouth agape. “Rude!” Kaveh exclaims, following after you.
You plop down on the grassy field and lie down, staring up at the cloudy sky in the abode. You lay on your hands and close your eyes, releasing long sighs. Kaveh looks around the empty field of grass in confusion; there is nothing to see at all other than the distant view of the other islands. Kaveh sits down beside you and stares down at you while you lay there, eyes closed and basking in the sunlight.
Kaveh’s eyes scan your face, and he slowly raises his hand to trace your features. Your nose, your lips, your cupid’s bow, the shape of your eyebrows, the tiny imperfections that the loves of your life consider to be cute and perfect just the way they are. Before his finger can touch your face, your eyes snap open, and you grab onto his finger, startling Kaveh.
“What are you doing?” You ask, narrowing your eyes at Kaveh.
Kaveh stutters, his cheeks turning bright red. “I…” He trails off, unsure of what to say to you after getting caught red-handed.
You sit up and release his finger before wrapping your arms around yourself. “What? Cat got your tongue?” You tease, sticking your tongue out at him.
A small smile appears on Kaveh’s face, catching you off guard. You gulp and stare at him like a fish out of water. You couldn’t help but be mesmerized by Kaveh’s beauty and how the sun shined on him, making him look ethereal.
Kaveh chuckles and shakes his head. “Cute,” He says, leaning back on his hands and looking out into the distance. Archons, that man is mesmerizing without having to put effort into looking breathtaking.
You blink at Kaveh. “Are you saying that sarcastically or….” You trailed off, blinking at Kaveh owlishly.
Kaveh looks over at you and blinks. “You’re cute,” Kaveh states. He reaches over and pinches your cheek with a small smile on his face. “I meant it as a compliment, not as sarcasm or an insult,” Kaveh adds.
“But you called me an abyss mage,” you deadpan.
Kaveh rolls his eyes with a smile on his face. “And? Itto calls you an onikabuto— an insect. I think calling you an abyss mage is better than being called an insect,” Kaveh says, scooting closer to you.
“But bugs are innocent!” You exclaimed. Kaveh cocks an eyebrow at you. “Kind of… but abyss mages are evil little shits who ruin everybody’s day just by existing!” You whine.
Kaveh hums thoughtfully. “I mean, I can say the same for you,” Kaveh jokes.
You scoff and lightly shove Kaveh, suppressing a smile that threatens to appear on your face. “You’re rude! You’ve been nothing but rude to me ever since we first met!” You grumble.
Kaveh pouts at you dramatically and wraps his arms around you, and pulls you into his arms. Your face smushes against Kaveh’s chest while he pets your head like how Diluc was stroking your hair prior to the tour of the abode.
“Oh, don’t be a big baby, abyss mage. I tease you like this because I like you,” Kaveh says, patting the top of your head.
You look up at Kaveh, and you see nothing but his chin and up his nose. “You need to trim your nose hairs. They’re starting to peek out like those mora stealing weasels,” you said softly, reaching up to pull on one of his nose hairs that were peeking out from his nose to get a better look at its surroundings. Kaveh scoff and swats your hands away from his nose, glaring down at you. You giggle and pat his cheek lightly.
You move from Kaveh’s side to sit on his lap, wrapping your arms around his waist and rubbing his back. “I like you too, Kaveh! Other than the nickname that you’ve given me, you’re an okay person,” You said.
“Gee, thanks.” Kaveh snorts, rolling his eyes before looking down at you with a soft smile on his face. “You’re the only person that I can stand out of those people that live in this abode,” Kaveh says, pressing his lips on the top of your head, catching you off guard.
“Really?” You ask.
“Nah.” He shakes his head.
You gasp and push him away from you, climbing out of his lap with an angry huff. “Why are you leading me on?!” You exclaim.
“Wha— I am not leading you on! This is playful bantering, and you’re going to have to get used to it if you’re going to continue to be in my life,” Kaveh says dramatically.
You roll your eyes and rub your throbbing temples. “You’re lucky you’re cute, or else I would’ve kicked your ass off of this island a long time ago,” you sigh, looking up at the sky to remain calm.
“Ha! Funny, I was thinking the same thing,” Kaveh says, sticking his tongue out at you.
You raise your eyebrows at Kaveh. “What a juvenile act for a man of your caliber,” You sass.
Kaveh snorts and shakes his head. “I can say the same thing about you, you little shit.” He pulls you down and traps you in his arms, rubbing your hair affectionately. “You’re irresistible. You know that, right?” Kaveh murmurs into your hair.
You glance up at Kaveh and nod your head, brushing your hair off your shoulders playfully. “Of course I do! How do you think I was able to get over twenty boyfriends?” You ask cheekily.
Kaveh rolls his eyes and covers your entire face with his hands, and shakes your head lightly. “You’re starting to get annoying, you little shit. Truly living up to the abyss mage nickname I’ve given you,” Kaveh mutters.
You grab onto his hands and smile up at him cheekily. “Admit it; you love it.” You grin.
Kaveh rolls his eyes and pinches your nose, making you squeal and try to unlatch his fingers from the tip of your nose. Kaveh laughs and releases your nose, laying down on the grassy field and bringing you down with him by wrapping his arm around your neck. The two of you lay there for a while, in each other's arms, while looking at the cloudy sky. Maybe adding another person to your growing circle wouldn’t hurt, especially when that person is one of your boyfriend’s roommate. It looks like they’ll be roommates again sooner than later.

In Kaeya uno imagines?? I'd love to see him play Al Haitham, Yae, and Yelan
Sure thing! I assume we're gonna go the SAGAU route.
Also, I apologize for the delay of this post! Burn out sucks, my fellas. I apologize if you guys get confused by the cards being thrown left and right lol.
Original Post
Kaeya Playing Uno (ft. Al Haitham, Yae Miko, and Yelan)
Other Notes: Default SAGAU (small hints of Yandere if you squint) / GN!Reader / Drabble / +600 Words
Tumblr media
Kaeya finds it amusing that you managed to invite peculiar people to the fancy place they built for you to test your card game. You, The Creator, introduced them to each other and you start the rules of Uno. Sat beside you are Kaeya and Yelan while the two of your followers are on the opposite of the table.
The Cavalry Captain eyed each person in the room before turning back to you, almost done with your explanation.
"We'll start with the first round." You said, shuffling the cards clumsily, some cards falling off your deck. Yae Miko raises her eyebrows in amusement, resting her chin on her hand. Al Haitham reading a book but glancing up to see what's going on. Yelan wants to help but she already got beaten to it.
"May I, Your Grace?" You glance at Kaeya, offering his help. You give the deck to him. He shuffles the cards and gives it back to you.
"Thank you, Kaeya." You smiled and you missed his smirk at your peripheral as he glances at Yelan who, in return, shooting him an annoyed look. He got your attention, again.
You give each of them 7 cards to form and settle the pile in the middle for all players to access.
"We start with Yelan," You say, your hand motions to your left, "I'll be spectating."
Yelan glances at the Captain and a small smirk appears on her lips while Kaeya's sly smile dropped a bit. Thankfully, you didn't notice this but the other followers notice this.
Yelan throws a Yellow 9 on the table, you know she's plotting something since you can see half of her cards.
Yae Miko throws a Yellow Draw 2 Card, Al Haitham glancing at her as he begrudgingly draws two cards from the Draw Pile. Kaeya places a Yellow Reverse Card, he's surely making Yelan lose her cool, huh?
Al Haitham simply adds a Yellow 8 to the table. Yae Miko follows up with a Blue 8, glancing at Yelan for a brief moment. What does that even indicate, you wonder. When it's finally her turn, Yelan tosses her Blue Skip Card.
"That's no fun." Kaeya murmurs beside you as Al Haitham placing a Blue 0 on the pile.
Yae momentarily stops before dropping a Blue 4. Is she plotting something too? Yelan tosses a Blue Draw 2 and you see Kaeya's smirk fell the moment he sees it. He shrugs and draws from the Draw Pile.
After you see your followers go back and forth a couple minutes later, you finally take notice the tension building between Kaeya and Yelan. You see Yae Miko is highly amused by this and Al Haitham just doesn't mind... until he decided to join in into the chaos when he tosses his Wild Draw Card, making Kaeya pick a lot of cards.
You had seen his deck and almost gasp when you saw he drew 2 Reverse Cards, he glances at you and smirks. You don't even know if he set those cards in the deck when he shuffled it or just plain luck. Either way, he's going to poke fun of Yelan and the others anyway.
After that long round, Yae Miko ends up winning. Turns out she has a Wild Card on her after that whole fiasco. The other three tried to guess what card she's holding and the kitsune just handed it to them.
"One more round?" Kaeya suggests, still wanting to play. "My Creator, why don't you join us this time?"
"Sure!" You agreed and you eyed each of your followers, "You guys don't have to go easy on me, I promise I'll be chill."
Famous last words, dear Creator... you seem to forgot Kaeya's right beside you and he's not going easy on you.

Heyaa!! Hope ur doing ok! If you have time, and if this peaks your interest can i request
Sumeru boys with a S/o who's secretly filthy Rich, came from a wealthy family, they are like Super duper REALLY RICH, when they found out they have to come clean, S/o doesn't told them because wanting to find an honest guy and not after their money.
So now that the characters knew, S/o is spoiling them, like for example, Cyno- buying him all kinds of limited/rare TCG cards all over teyvact at once, Tighnari helping buying the lots of expensive herbs, and S/o casually ask if they can pay off Kaveh Debt because for them- the debt is like pocket money to them. Taking out to a 5 star restaurants not even looking at the bills and just pays for it. At this point s/o just become a sugar mommy
You knew you could trust him from the moment you met him but that didn't stop you from hiding your family and wealth from him. You didn't want to risk anything after all and every day that you became more and more invested you realised that he loves you more than you could have ever fathomed.
He's always been kind to you and when he found out you were rich he thankfully didn't get mad at you for hiding it from him. You knew that if he did you wouldn't be able to stay with him but just his simple question of why and nodding in understanding made you more relieved than you ever thought you could have been.
Whatever it is you buy him he's very happy but he also insists that he never needed it. He was getting by just fine without it but you essentially tell him that he doesn't have to worry about it and that you did it because you love him and simply just wanted to spoil him a little bit because you can.
Tumblr media
Tighnari doesn't expect to come to work to find a wild assortment of herbs and equipment that he's been wanting but unable to either expense out or pay for himself. He thought that someone had left it there by accident and was going to try to return it when he suddenly sees a note left on it. He smiles to himself as he realises it's from you, promising to put it all to good use to make sure you didn't waste your money.
Tumblr media
You're so excited to show Cyno the new cards you got him, practically vibrating as he realises what you did. You even remembered the way he likes to store the cards he has for collection purposes, putting them away for him already and eagerly pointing at the spaces where you're waiting to buy him more when they come out. He's just as excited as you are, pulling out some of them to set up for a new round of TCG.
Tumblr media
Kaveh adamantly refused you paying off his debt the first time you brought it up. He really didn't want you to and hated the fact that he'd be benefitting from your goodwill and kindness to him. That just means you went behind his back and paid it off for him anyway. You also use some of your connections to suggest Kaveh's name here and there, reminding people that he's the one who designed the Palace of Alcazarzaray to help him find some new jobs that are more befitting of his taste. He will spend the rest of his life trying to repay you back for your kindness, absolutely thankful as you constantly reassure him that you were under no obligation to help him out like this.
Tumblr media
Al Haitham didn't expect to come home one day to an exclusive edition of a novel he thought ceased to exist. The fact that it's an original is even better, you giving him room to read the book. When he's finished you let him talk to you about it, having your own copy so you could also discuss it with him as he holds you and thanks you for doing something like that for him.

A bittersweet evening
Fem!reader X Alhaitham
Genre : angst/fluff
Warnings : mentions of aphrodisiac/kind of bullying
Tumblr media
Today was a really tiring day you felt so exhausted from the overwork, but you had one more commision to finish you had to do a food delivery. you didn't know why would someone commission such a thing but you just went with it.
Tumblr media
when you arrived you saw a lady she was dressed in a fancy strapless bandeau mini red dress which was hugging her body and her hair was styled in a bun with bunch of hair accessories on it, she looked at you up and down and started laughing you were confused at her actions but either way you asked
"excuse me are you miss kat?"
She looked at you with an annoyed expression
"it's Katy not kat. And pleasure to see you too I am Katy a very dear friend of Alhaitham~ katy Dawson sounds familiar?"
she has a mischievous grin, and it all suddenly hit you she was Alhaitham's ex girlfriend that his parents forced him to date no wonder you got such a weird request she just wanted to make fun of you, you felt so pissed so you walked two steps closer to her
"Miss I'm only here to deliver your food not to chitchat"
as you handed her the delivery and wanted to leave she tried to push, you pushed her hand away as self defence and she fell with all the food Spilled on her, you almost giggled at her state but suddenly you heard an unexpected voice it was your lover's voice he came running and the moment that lady saw him she switched up
"oh Alhaitham your he-"
as you were about to wave at him that lady cried out
"OH HAITHAM YOU'RE FINALLY BACK as I was sitting here waiting for you this disrespectful lady came up to me and threw all the food on me I can't express how terrified I was thankfully you're here~"
she said as she eyed you Alhaitham ran to help her up and clean her dress you felt so disgusted as if you were about to threw up then he ran up to you and held you by your shoulders
"[NAME]I know doing commissions might be tiring but you didn't have to go that far although she is my ex this women is a family friend "
you stood there with a confused expression
"huh...no no don't tell me you actually believed he-" he cut you off and removed his hands away "[NAME] doing this won't fix the situation please go apologise"
you frowned at his words
"what?! no I won't I haven't done anything to apologise for in fact she is the one supposed to apologise she almost-"
and just when you were about to finish talking the women jumped out of her seat and yelled
"AHEM I am not gonna sign up to this business contract anymore not until I hear a 'sorry'from a certain someone....but oh well you'll find me in the club if you want to give a proper apology I might change my mind"
the last sentence was whispered in Haitham's ear but it was loud enough for you to hear you felt really bad and disgusted you couldn't believe what have just happened you were deep In your thoughts then suddenly Alhaitham spoke *sight*
"I have no choice but to go and apologise for what you've done, you go home first I'll come back later"
You were speechless but you didn't want to explain anymore since he wouldn't believe you anyway.
Tumblr media
~
You were laying on bed pillow wet with tears and you couldn't fall asleep so you turned on the lights and decided to read a book you finished all your books so all you had was one of Alhaitham's books you started reading it then you heard the lock of the door you closed the book and turned off the lights quickly but when Alhaitham came in you smelled a very strange smell on him he was heavily breathing too when you got up you saw him sweating and breathing fast then he sat next to you struggling to speak
"love look at me love please that disgusting woman made me drink an aphrodisiac t-thankfully I noticed before d-drinking the whole thing and left she tricked me and I believed her w-words I'm r-eally sorry I ugh am a j-jerk I'm a moron you can hit me if you want.."
tears fell off your eyes as he spoke you knew he wouldn't do anything bad but tears couldn't help but fall from your eyes as a stinging sensation built up in your chest
"no no don't cry dear I would rather die than see your tears please don't cry"
he said as he was wiping the tears out of your face with his thumb, you went to the kitchen and brought some water and a calmer(medicine? idk 😔) then came back and gave it to him then you both layed down and cuddled he was still apologizing and asking if you wanted to hit him but all you done was chuckle as you said quietly
"you better treat me to dinner later for this"
he giggles voice raspy from the medicine
"anything for you darling just say the word"
That was the last thing he said before holding you tightly against him and falling asleep~

Some fluff with pregnant Alhaitham getting spoiled by his partners Kaveh and Wriothesley after having a difficult day?
Fluff fluff fluff fluff
Irritation radiated off the Scribe the moment he walked through his front door. Jaw clenched tight, shoulders tense and his body set ridged. He drops his belongings next to the door, kicks off his shoes, and goes straight for his bed.
AlHaitham hears Kaveh call him from the kitchen, but is in no state to respond. All he can think about is his bed, lying down and forgetting everything for a few precious hours.
By the time Kaveh had turned off the stove and gathered Wriothesley, AlHaitham was already curled up in bed. Back to the door, all they can see is the top of his and the outline of his tense form.
"Haitham?" Kaveh edges closer, crawling onto the bed beside his lover. Still, no response. AlHaitham's eyes were closed, but Kaveh knew he wasn't sleeping, and gently removed his earpiece.
"What happened?" Wrio joins quickly, kneeling on the other side of Kaveh, running his fingers through Alhaitham's slightly messy hair. There's worry in his voice, even more so when he sees how tightly the scribe is wrapped around his swollen belly. Hands running over his middle, soothing the unborn baby inside.
"Tell me what happened." Wrio continued to card his fingers through his lover's hair, while Kaveh rubbed his shoulder to let him know he was there as well, and listening.
"Just...a long day."
"Did something happen at work?" Kaveh chews his lip nervously, he wants his lover to just come out and say what the problem is, but he knows nagging him will only make him shut down further. Thankfully, AlHaitham didn't seem to be in the mood to dodge questions.
"Being questioned on if I can still do my work properly. They know they can't replace me, but they aren't quiet about their distaste," AlHaitham grumbles, pulling around himself tighter, "They think I can't hear them. Several people were gossiping about what a terrible parent I'll be." it had been a sore spot since the start of his pregnancy, one he'd reluctantly opened up about months prior. Alhaitham was well aware he wasn't the tender, motherly type, but Kaveh and Wrio never once thought he would be anything less than a perfect parent.
"Who said it." Wrio all but growls.
"Doesn't matter. Making a big deal out of it is worse than letting it go." AlHaitham wasn't wrong, but his lovers still didn't enjoy knowing there were people opening shit talking their precious lover.
"How about I go out and get your favorite dinner?" Wrio offers, but AlHaitham shakes his head.
"I'm not very hungry." Kaveh nestles down into the bed, wrapping himself around AlHaitham and nuzzling into the back of his neck.
"What if I make something light and bring it to you in bed? Wrio picked up some books from Fontaine, we could read to you some if you'd like." going still, AlHaitham thinks for a moment, before nodding. Wrio grins, pressing a kiss to his forehead before trotting off to find the stash of goodies he'd brought home. Kaveh untangles himself, quickly returning to the kitchen to finish dinner.
Within the hour, Wrio has AlHaitham nestled comfortably against his chest, reading aloud. A book on the history and legends of Fontaine, something AlHaitham had been curious about since they'd started dating. Kaveh is in front of him, spooning soup into his mouth. Despite his protest that he was more than capable of feeding himself, the blonde had sulked and insisted on doing it instead.
It was rare for AlHaitham to allow himself to be spoiled, but as he took mouthfuls of soup and warm bread and listened to Wrio's voice reading passages from one of the books, AlHaitham decides to allow himself to indulge more often.
