what career do you guys like to envision for mike in the future? whether in actual canon or in some kind of au / headcanon of yours. doesn't matter rly.

personally, i love the idea of him being a teacher, but i also really enjoy him being an author, news editor, copywriter, etc. the whole "mike made good money in corporate, but quickly grew miserable and left. then, he landed a teaching gig to tide him over, but actually fell in love with it" hc always hits the spot for me. i blend that with my hc of him having a riordan-esque moment where he teaches while writing his book(s) and then eventually blows up and is able to write full-time.

but i also have some ideas that i feel are underrated, which are film/tv producer, director, screenwriter, and private investigator (especially one that specializes in missing persons). really puts his leadership and attention-to-detail skills to good use. or... something in computer science or engineering, given his other interests & posters, too.

i do freelance work for a vinyl company sometimes and like they’re notoriously flakey but the money was pretty good so i dealt w it. ANYWAYYY i guess the founder’s been going through a divorce and just filed for bankruptcy and has been lying to everyone about when their records are going to be shipped out 😭 like there are hundreds of pressed vinyls sitting in a warehouse that they just can’t afford to ship out. the linkedin page is deleted. their website is donezo. i got an email from one of the editors today being like “heyyyy guys!! i have no idea what’s going on either but i think we’re done here <3” HAHAHAH like whatttt ???
