i genuinely believe the memes are being taken by people in a positive way, in the sense excluding a certain group the majority of people are laughing with him rather than at him. george doesn't seem to publicly mind too much which def helps the way these jokes are perceived. the more neutral f1 fans seem to like that he doesn't take himself too seriously either esp since merc's driver image and in turn george's since he left williams is...well we all know. but the problem is the frequency of these jokes and it does leave a bad taste in my mouth that they have no problem taking advantage of whenever george gets positive attention be it the memes or the hair change but the minute it comes to actually protecting him or their other employees from attacks from ykw then they are silent. it real says a lot.

eh, maybe. i'm not too sure about that first part, but it could be just me being pessimistic.

and yeah i kinda mentioned it here that on their own, posts like these wouldn't be a problem, i wouldn't mind them. as you pointed out george doesn't take himself too seriously, he is always up for a joke, he is a genuinely fun and funny guy, with a great sense of humour, all of which i adore about him. but i feel like we are reaching a point where it's too much, and it's being used in a way that i'm not a fan of. when it's done so often, when the memes are what get pushed all the time, and like you said the team is quick to jump on all of this stuff to milk it, and yet when they should be showing him appreciation, or they should be protecting him, it's... crickets... it just gives me the ick. and it's especially :| when you know that only one guy on the team gets this treatment. and when you know how much hate george thrown at him.

i don't know how much of this is a conscious response to the "ew, george is so serious at mercedes" shit we got starting with 2022, and how much of it is just... riding the wave. but at the same time, it's a formula that (as far as i can tell, because i didn't follow the team before george went there) already kinda existed when bottas was there, like. i'm thinking of him doing the same silly tiktoks etc. one guy is the man who gets all the glory, the other is there to be made fun of. i don't think i'm subscribing to that.

ANON I WANT EVERY SINGLE THING YOU LISTED. They already have domestic vibes in their dynamic (think them collecting food for the jb and sarah in 1x10, or JJ waiting patiently for Kie to hand him a drink at the beginning of 1x06, or 2x08 when they take turns driving without even communicating about it - this is a small detail that drives me insane actually, because they switch twice and they never talk about it, just have a feeling for when the other should be behind the wheel, or even them fishing in 3x01) so I can really see them being super domestic and complementary in their couple dynamic.

I can see them being quiet about it, but it comes naturally. Again, they're already fairly tactile, so I can totally see them being even closer, casually having their arms around each other, always sitting close together, stealing a kiss every now and then (and more if the others complain)

Jealous!Kie. We've seen jealous JJ and mostly he gets angsty and pines in silence and I just need him to be happy ffs. We haven't seen jealous Kie though, and I would just love to see her drop everything she thought she believed in and become very vocally territorial if some girl is hitting on JJ. You know JJ would love it too. He would tease her about it and then just enjoy the way she drapes herself all over him.

“the great war” i read the lyrics for this one time and decided it would make the most steveloki fic of all time and i was and still am correct

“bigger than the whole sky” this is the fic where jason and richard have a whirlwind romance during DBD but richard dies when he gets caught (either murdered or dies when he jumps out of the car). this song also bores me to tears but the sentiment of jason not getting to know richard the way they should have been, after richard has finally been able to clear his name and have a more peaceful life sans regis, is a pretty compelling one to me.

“paris” nah this is my least favorite song on the album

“high infidelity” i love this song but i can’t imagine a character/pairing/situation that i’d want to write about with actual infidelity?

“would’ve, should’ve, could’ve” the spiritual sequel to the "you're on your own, kid" morgana fic. i mean the line about spitting out poison??? there's a lot here that could make a good uther angst fic but tbh i want to zero in on a morgana vs merlin dynamic where morgana knows about his magic and that he still chose to turn his back on her. not in an anti-merlin way but still in that "how dare you betray me like that" vein. god "give me back my girlhood, it was mine first" in a morgana context absolutely KILLS me.

Can you tell when I wrote stuff was I just ever so slightly irritated by all the emotions talk. Which yknow I get feeling angry and whatnot but I am specifically talking abt the stuff w "how can you not feel _". Idk if I already talked abt it or deleted it before hitting post some other time I think I did. Also was irritated by all the people yelling at people for being triggered like if you don't know the difference between discomfort and triggered do I not want you near me. That difference is very significant.

Idk man I am just tired of people equating empathy w humanity the most. I'm really glad I hardened up more bc I just think abt 2020 where I think I got first truly radicalized or/and learned a fuck ton but also all that guilt tripping and all made the already bad mental health further nosedive and that is just not sustainable neither for the cause or us. Like yes sharing and all actions that do help are important but it's also important to step away and do anything else to not burn out in like a day or two. Luckily the people that get followed got shaken up a bit and dash and rbs get focused more on positivity in general since then and that def helped long term (was gen "would _ rb that" "would _ scold if I would rb that" until it became a no brainer when my lifeline wasn't there. not the time to gush but fuck do I think I would still be in the same mud without him). Still not the best but better than then so sharing is easier on the mental health.

I feel. So weird for not being able to feel empathy for others but def feel it when others irritate me. Yeah I feel bad when I don't feel anything but what does it bring to force myself to feel something. I already knew in 2020 that the trying to force myself was empty I only felt like I have to try to feel awful bc of all the guilt tripping. It's hard to explain how it feels I think it's such a strange feeling. I'm only really talking abt that bc reg the trigger stuff like ffs people still need to be able to function and there are things to do without getting triggered if the heavy topics are what do it. And reg the emotions thing like people learn not everyone feels empathy and that it doesn't make people anything bad and that actions count challenge. Not everyone w aspd for example is automatically a evil person. What matters is if they talk abt things and if they genuinely stand behind them. Idk if I speak for most or if just past self but writing in all caps "how can you not feel bad/sad/angry/etc at seeing [atrocity, usually as video attached]" will make people not magically care if they didn't prior it'll just irritate them and scroll away. Factual information is what can make people turn around more (like, literally just share without that commentary for example). So many "both sides bad" focus on emotions afaik. Compassion, empathy, etc for both. There are people that see and feel bad abt what happens to them but still say both sides bad.

i say what i said the last post but the reason i keep this url on my main IS to attract smt fans. I've seen so many queer st fans think that byler needs to be unrequited to be realistic and will needs to "learn how to love himself" but I feel like part of this line of thinking comes from projecting their life experiences onto will.. which I completely understand! I do it all the time! However, the thing is is that... Will and mike aren't real people. They have constant motivations and plot beats that drive each and every one of their actions, the things they do are used to drive a certain plot or their respective character arcs forward; if the duffer bros decided that either of their deaths would make narrative sense or they felt their characters had no where to go they could just kill them off ffs. Just because people aren't used to their past crushes also happening to be queer and feel it's impossible for it to happen doesn't mean it is, especially when it comes to writing a show about fighting monsters from a parallel dimension. ST has a problem w putting all their characters into romantic pairings, yes, but why does byler being canon mean all the other straight pairings(other than m*leven) have to be together as well?? IMO, the only ships that I see being endgame are jopper, lumax, rovickie and byler. As much as I like jancy I feel like it would just make sense; they love each other for sure, but I think their paths are gonna separate, for the time being anyway(I could def see them getting back together after college or whatever tho). And I think Steve should stay single too cuz, and this is how I feel about Jonathan as well, he really shines as a character outside of a romantic context. And El, I just don't see her ending up w anyone romantically? I just wanna see her friendships and familial relationships(esp Joyce, will, Jonathan, and the rest of the party) shine. But yeah, will and Mike's arcs are intertwined(like c'mon, will is mike's light and mike is Will's heart and u expect me to not root for them...?). Also there's *realistically* not enough to make Will's love for mike unrequited and have it be nearly as fleshed out as some people might like 😭 s5 is only gonna be 8 episodes (they're long but still, only 8 episodes), and how would mike find out about will's feelings(even tho again, realistically, WHEN would will even voluntarily tell him??), reject him, and have will "get over it" AND have the audience believe it. There's just no way, I'm sorry. Even w a corny ass timeskip 20 years later and will has a bf(who in a nightmare scenario looks like mike) people would just not buy that he got over feelings that intense that quickly and the GA would probably feel somewhat(?) happy for him maybe and/or pity at best and just make fun of him at worst.. also omfg sorry this was so long but this take annoys the hell out of meeee

I just think it's funny because people do bring up their personal experiences like "I got over my childhood crush" like good for you but I don't want to see that with Will and Mike. Realistic or not. 11. Any headcanons that take place after the games that you want to share

dusknoir becomes a world renowned explorer again but for real this time, though this is after he makes amends for what he did under primal dialga. he also gives the sableye a home and acts more paternal towards them

grovyle has a long time figuring out what he wants to do, he had hinged his life on his mission and now he feels confused. im thinking he actually does make a full fledged team with dusknoir and celebi and theyre all famous like dusknoir is :D but itd take a bit! he experiments, trying to see what he likes

the future trio time travels to see rin and nimbus again bc i said so

jay and mimi (psmd hero/partner) play a big part in mega evolution research later on in life (but that is tech a spoiler for something so keeping quiet abt it for now)

mimi learns about mewtwo and actively seeks them out. she jokingly adopts them and calls herself their mom, but the two make a genuine bond and it helps mewtwo integrate into pokemon society more after they isolated themself from it

espurr eventually joins the expedition society once she feels confident enough. she primarily becomes mawile's apprentice in archeology, but is also a formidable member in her own right and eventually steps up as one of the strongest members once mawile retires and espurr evolves into meowstic.

azalea (rescue team hero) befriends gengar after the latter takes a major break from the town post-murky cave. azalea had also not been the greatest human before turning into a pokemon, and she genuinely wanted to help him reform once he showed interest/signs of improvement. leopold (partner) takes a while to come around, but a bond is eventually formed between the 3.

eris (gti hero) is eventually trapped in the pmd world due to the dimension being locked, but he's honestly okay with it. his home life wasn't the best and he really only felt the "but we are FAMILY so i cant leave" obligation to return home before. he's since accepted that it was toxic and was honestly just relieved the lock was put up while he was in the pmd universe instead of the human world. he also either never evolves (bc i can never find a thunder stone in gti) or evolves into alolan raichu while his partner elliot evolves all the way into samurott, and elliot lets him ride around on his back. horse.

12. If you could change one thing about your favourite game(s), what would it be?

the darkrai plot hands down. ive rambled before abt why i hate it but basically my idea would be to either keep darkrai as a postgame villain but leave temporal tower and palkia out of it, or to keep his intervention in the main plot but make him a more impactful character. my ideas include

-making him appear earlier ffs. or at least be mentioned/alluded to multiple times in the main story.

-make him more of a character beyond "i want to rule the world" type. like maybe we do go the "tragic villain" route where he didnt HAVE to end up the way he did. like he was feared and hated due to his influence over nightmares that he cant help, but there was also a time related crisis or a drought or something happening at the lakes and treeshroud forest. so darkrai decides to take the time gears from temporal tower to put in those areas, get the lake guardians to look after them, and fix the anomalies there.

-this gets him adoration and love from the region and he's upheld as a hero. he revels in it and loves the affection.

-unfortunately he wasn't aware of the long term disaster of temporal tower's collapse... he panics at the thought of people hating him again once he learns (probably through dialga telling him or something), but then he has a thought like "wait. what if i LET that happen and i can swoop in and save everyone in the aftermath, dont connect it to the time gears and instead make it out to have been this unforeseeable disaster, and he keeps everyone together and they still love him! so he basically leaves dialga high and dry bc he's rather do that than admit his mistake.

-cresselia then tries to stop him and thats how shes involved. maybe he puts her in a nightmare

-darkrai kinda just. REALLY wants to die on this hill basically, hes desperate to keep the love pokemon have for him now and doesn't want to lose it.

-he probably doesnt interfere with the time travel bc darkrais cant naturally time travel. in fact he has no idea what the future is even like. hes CONVINCED hes gonna be this grand hero in the dark future

-darkrai is also seen or mentioned a lot throughout the story explaining his connection to the time gears.

-ofc hero and partner stop temporal towers collapse and pokemon put two and two together abt the time gears and start to be wary abt darkrai again. he starts to despise them and plots for them to be... "removed" from the world so to speak. so in postgame, where his plot usually takes place, he starts trying to manipulate them like he does in main game. but what hes also trying to do is frame them. he puts nightmares in other pokemons heads about hero and partner, exaggerating their space distortion and saying theyll be the end of the world if they arent eliminated. basically he's trying to do what gengar did. i dont think another witchhunt deal will happen both bc the pokemon do genuinely trust and love them + we wouldnt want to just repeat the first game anyways, but it DOES isolate them just enough to create a divide (that wigglytuff/cresselia eventually fixes up) and make the hero/partner really doubt themselves and basically plants that seed of doubt in everyone. darkrai then gets it in his head to ACTUALLY distort space so that the pokemon blame it on hero and partner, and the stuff w palkia happens as it does ingame. darkrai is exposed again by cresselia (idk if azurill gets a permanent nightmare here? i kinda wanna keep that bc i love that dungeon but idk if its narratively appropriate now) and he runs off to dark crater

-basically the dark crater confrontation happens except darkrai doesnt have a band of pokemon. a boss battle happens and he rants about how the hero and partner ruined everything for him, his backstory is revealed, and he says that he wanted hero and partner to go through what he did. everything would've been fine if they hadnt meddled, if they had just stayed put in their respective timelines and let everything go as planned! they didnt have to ruin him a second time! if they had just let time go, he wouldve kept the respect he had, and he wouldnt be an outcast again! he wouldve kept everyone happy even with the ruined world, it wouldve been fine!

-... and then partner drops the fact that they hadn't heard a whisper of him in the future. it's not to rub it in his face, its a genuine question: "if you were supposed to save everyone... where were you? we were in the future... if you had been there, surely you would've been mentioned?"

-this breaks darkrkai. the fact that his future was just a desperate attempt to cling to a fantasy, it makes him realize just how ridiculous he'd been this whole time. all this time, he had just been hurting the same pokemon he wanted adoration from. this is where he flees, maybe into a dimensional hole (palkia might have made it?) and i'm not sure if he loses his memory here, but it does leave him in a place where he can be recruited and reformed if the player so choses.

Sending out a public service announcement to remind the people that the Legends ship Avalance so hard they were prepared to die so they could marry. Ffs even Kayla, who only found Avalance in S6 was like ‘I’m new here; not caught up or anything; haven’t read any fanfic yet; don’t know the origin story; but I ship this hard and will go down with this ship’. Bonus points for Spooner smiling throughout while the house was bombarded by aliens. That’s all.

But also. Imagine if Ava ever got pregnant - there the legends would be marching themselves into the delivery room all gowned up and Sara is like ‘no no guys … you wait outside’. Meanwhile Kayla is back and is like ‘Ok, so I haven’t been in the fandom for a while but I’ve read up on human birth and I’m here to deliver the child - not that I’m bothered or anything’. Gary wheels in birthing instruments from all over the galaxy and Zari is trying to tie a ‘Legends Birthing Party’ banner over the door.

Listen, that protective circle around Ava and Sara was everything! Not only were they like "We've spent all this time trying to get Sara back to Ava, we'll make sure they get married even if it's the last thing we do!" but they were also fully willing and happy to spent the last few hours of their lives (as far as they knew) preparing that wedding ceremony and if that doesn't make them the best friends anyone could have... And you're totally right about Kayla, like that whole Mick/Kayla thing was kinda rushed cause so many things were happening in 6B but still... the fact that she was willing to hold the aliens off... Nice.

Despite the fact that I totally can't picture Ava being pregnant or wanting to be pregnant, that scene you're describing made me laugh cause these idiots really would act like that, wouldn't they? Astra and Spooner would def just stay outside though, they would be too grossed out lol
