sometimes i remember that gojo wanted to tell geto “we’ll meet again, right?” just before he died but forced himself not to knowing it would have cursed him and then i start thinking about how kind and thoughtful gojo is as a character and how he hasn’t been able to lean on another human being since geto defected and then i want to . Scream

#like. there’s something almost helpless about that question. because gojo doesn’t *know* the answer…. he’s asking for reassurance #he wants to know if they’ll ever meet again even though deep down he knows the answer #and it’s so… bare? so vulnerable.#if he had voiced it that would’ve been the first time in TEN YEARS that gojo truly bared his heart to someone and asked for help #but he knew it would turn into a curse and so he gulped the words back down. :((#gojo is such a sincerely kind and thoughtful character and it breaks my heart that sooo many people in the fandom can’t see that 😭#he isn’t a saint and he definitely isn’t selfless but above all else his goal as a human being is to make sure no one ever feels alone.#that no one has their youth taken away from them….. that everyone gets a Choice in how to live their life :(((( it’s so important to him.#i just genuinely don’t understand ppl who insist that he’s morally gray ….. gojo is a consistently Good person and that never changes #he wants to have fun and laugh and he wants his students to enjoy their youth. he wants them to think he’s cool.#he’s the big brother slash father Ever and i love him to death #i got sidetracked this was supposed to be abt geto 😔😔 anyway the final scene between them will always be my Favorite ever #and the key to understanding both their characters and love for one another #ty for coming to my ted talk i’m feeling normal abt them today 😇😇#ari noises ✩

I have an intimate truth to share: I think Sunday would be a very cute name for a shoni baby who lives on a farm with her two moms. Sunday Shalifoe??? They could call her Sunny!! C’mon it writes itself!! And if she looked just like Shelby?? The material is there!! 😭😭😭

#also I think the idea of the B-side of the wilds (s3-4) taking place in the future and flashing back to the bunker and post-bunker times #would’ve been very interesting if like shoni are together living on a farm with their little baby having this happy private life only to be #dragged back into drama with the rest of the girls who maybe they haven’t seen or spoken to in sometime all because of Gretchen finally #being caught and them having to go to court and we learn through the flashbacks that shoni lost touch but reconnected some time after being #for real rescued and and flashbacks that go a little further back reveal that maybe Shelby kept quiet about something or helped Gretchen ge #away or simply as a reward for not saying something to the fbi back when they were rescued Gretchen gives Shelby Toni’s information which i #the whole catalyst and reason they were able to reconnect and it puts a big strain on their current relationship when it’s revealed cuz #Toni thot their reunion was one of genuine chance like the universe randomly bringing them back together but turns out that’s not true bc #Shelby clearly sought her out and then ofc through flashbacks that go all the way back to bunker times it’s revealed Shelby was working as #confederate which is just another thing she lied to Toni and the others about and right when you really think shits going sideways and thei #marriage is going to implode from all this there’s ANOTHER dramatic reveal which is like the real reasons behind Shelby agreeing to be a #confederate which probably have something to do with Martha and the court case or Toni’s mom or something in the vein and Toni realizes tha #Shelby did it for her/to protect her and then shoni is back on baybeee cuz that’s her baby mama frfr!!!!!#the wilds #long winded and full of holes but that’s all I got #toni shalifoe #goodfoe #shelby x toni #shoni #shelby goodkind #Toni x Shelby #shoni baby

When I say the greasers would be prejudiced, I mean they grew up and live in an environment and time period where stereotypes, ideas, propaganda, etc, were more common than today (also they still are common, to the point I don’t think there’s anyone without them to some degree) and exploring those ideas as how they culminate and manifest and how the greasers can unlearn them is much better than erasing these very real concepts and themes within the Outsiders itself as well as the era, thus doing a disservice to both.

#ofc you shouldn’t go into detail something you don’t know shit about #like that’s not your place #and like obviously don’t portray that shit as okay and normal (even though it was thought so for the time period)#but idk removing all nuance is super iffy #also the greasers are canonically all pretty misogynistic #evie rambles #the outsiders #like I really like how se hinton explores misogyny in her book #she doesn’t sht away from her characters being assholes and sexist #pony literally admits that he and the guys will talk derogatory about girls #but se hinton makes it apparent that this is shitty of them and pony himself is embarrassed admitting it #also dally bothers cherry with pony saying that if it weren’t a soc girl he would’ve helped #but se hinton writes this as a scene that feels wrong and cruel with johnny intervening because dally is scaring and upsetting them #plus even though she doesn’t give her female characters big roles (other than cherry)#it’s clearly not a bias against the girls or for the boys #because outsiders is very much a male-centric stort with masculinity and male bonds being two of the biggest themes #and it manifests in all the character from johnny who can’t fit into the normal mould of masculinity #that he sees in dally and admires #but grows as a character and understands the flaws of it and ends up denouncing #to dally who is the mould having been twisted into it by the very system he hates #to ponyboy who is constantly unsure of what end of the spectrum he should emulate #since he begins always falling short #and ends up being very much able to perpetuate and perform these gender roles #and finally does denounce them like johnny did #the female characters also have their own agency and aren’t defined by the men in their life even tho their characters seem centric to them #ugh there’s just so much to say about this book!!!

tbh out of the games I’ve played all the way thru thus far (0, 1, 2, 3) I think y3 is by far the strongest in regards to kazumaji content/implications, at the very least when it comes to majima’s feelings and displays of affection and whatnot. like. it’s legitimately hard if not impossible to adequately explain some of majima’s actions in this game as anything other than being out of way-beyond-platonic love for kiryu and it makes me want to slam my head against a wall and scream

#like this whole game just has dramatic example after dramatic example of majima going way above and beyond for him #saving him when he doesn’t even know he needs it- being there for him despite him being too stubborn or prideful to ask- pulling big stunts #using basically all of the men under his command just to greet kiryu and show him respect and eventually a good time-#it’s implied that it’s a widely known rule to majima’s men that kiryu is to be helped in any way necessary by them #majima gets between a rock and a hard place politically/in clan dealings and regardless of what option would’ve maybe been the safest for #him or most profitable he sided with kiryu. when he got framed kiryu knew he was being framed because he knows majima would’nt betray him.#kiryu tells him to look after daigo as his right hand man long-term and he does. kiryu tells him to stay back in kamurocho and keep the #entire Tojo clan in check and he does. no questions asked.#can you imagine majima being so soft and pliant with literally anyone else as to basically go ‘I want to go down there and help you directly #and I think that’s what you need but ah well I know you’re stubborn so I’ll just do whatever you want me to do’#with literally anyone else #the mad dog himself just. rolling over like that. instead of arguing for what he wants if not Taking it #god they make me insane #this game is doing things to my brain #yakuza 3 #y3 #kazumaji #goro majima #kazuma kiryu

#art tag #just over a year ago my nanna offered me this leather jacket she’s had for ages- she’s been unable to get rid of it so #she asked me to try it on. I did! and I loved it!! it was comfy and it had enough room to layer up if it got cold- but it wasn’t oversized #i said I wanted the jacket and my dad agreed it looked good but nanna being herself thought it was too big on me despite me insisting it’s-#fine and comfortable. I don’t take clothes that don’t fit me. if it was too big I would’ve said so. either way she wouldn’t let me take #the jacket home and she shoves it in her wardrobe and insists that she’s going to get it adjusted for me and she’ll let me know when it’s-#done. yeah she didn’t do that. what she DID do was wait until I forgot about it.#fast foward a few years and my family in canada can finally afford to visit (safely)#my cousins come too! my older cousin and 3 younger ones #we had a great time! they stay for roughly 3 weeks and fast forward again to when they’re getting ready to leave #my older cousin is packing her bag and she asks me to find a shirt from her bag while she sorts her makeup out- she wanted the shirt for #travel the next day! so I sort out the top she wants and I notice a leather jacket in her bag! and we start talking about it offhandedly #I don’t recognise it as the same jacket at first we’re sorta just talking about it and she mentions she didn’t even want the jacket in the #first place. she was just taking it from nanna to be polite- it did fit her fine (she’s the same size as me believe it or not) but it’s not #her style at all. she’s got very feminine pretty clothes. lots of crop tops and jeans and skirts. the jacket doesn’t really fit that #so! she says ‘hey why don’t you try it? if you like it you can have it!’ so I do! and it dawns on me. this is the SAME jacket #that my nanna offered me from before. and it clicks that she was trying to get rid of it without me knowing about it. and i tell my cousin!#she was pissed off on my behalf and helped me hide the jacket in a bag so I could take it home without nanna knowing #a few days later my family are back off to Canada!#a few weeks later I come around to nanna’s house wearing the jacket and she is royally pissed to say the least #I personally was ecstatic #it is 100% mine now so she can’t do shit anymore and I will wear it like a badge of honour because I’m petty like that #I love my cousins so fucking much actually. we’re all in mutual agreement that nanna is horrible #a lot happened on their trip but this is one of my favourite things

While Leo wasn’t physically present for the S2 finale, I loved how he was there in every other way. His care and support is what gave MC the strength to rise to her feet and it was his sword that allowed her to deliver the final blow. While physically absent from this finale, he was still there in spirit alongside them all.

#i know i haven’t been v active lately #i got a big girl desk/admin job about a month ago & it’s taken up all my time #& while there’re stressful times bc i’m still trying to learn everything #it feels good when i accomplish things & help ppl :—)#i’m proud of myself for pursuing this job after being chosen as a front runner by my GM #i was hesitant at first bc i’ve never had a real desk job before & i was intimidated by the work load #but i pushed myself to do it bc i know i would’ve regretted not taking it #it was a chance to start a new career path & even if i don’t stay here forever #it’s really good starting experience for office jobs!#this is all so corny but i just wanted to vent a lil about my accomplishments #& also so that my mutuals know that i’m still alive n thriving <3 #vent

#tbd #but just to vent #i’m a server at a small but fuckin bumpkin sushi spot in the rich rich part of town #we do good business one table tonight spent 1100 bucks and left me 300 #sadly we tipshare BUT that’s exactly my point #today we got a fish delivery during the dinner rush which means they had to clean the fish #the dishwasher couldn’t wash anything for over an hour #bus pan upon bus pan dirty tables just an insane amount of dishes #once we closed i suggested to the other 4 servers that we help out the dishwasher because hey it’s only fair #her boyfriend came to help her wash dishes but like let’s help dry and put away #everyone dries like three plates and leaves without saying goodbye #like cowards #we close at 10 I left at midnight because i stayed to help them #if everyone pitched in we could’ve been done in 30 mins #it just puts a bad taste in my mouth like it would’ve taken so little and made a big difference to help her out #i don’t mind having to get home late I’m just pissed everyone snuck out so they could avoid drying a fuckin dish #especially cause when it’s busy she buses tables and brings in the table cloths and menus and even the checks off the tables!!!#team work my ass!!

So my workplace had us come in for picture day - to get ‘professional headshots’ since we are, in fact, professionals - and we got the official photos today. On picture day, I felt like a million bucks. I was so happy with how I looked.

But the photo turned out TERRIBLE. Godawful. I genuinely cannot understand how I look so effing bad in this photo. There’s two options: 1. They fucked up the photo in photoshop (they had to edit out the flash reflection in my glasses so I know they edited it) 2. I just look terrible all the time 😭

I’m laughing as I type this but I’m genuinely upset about it

#I just want to like how I look!!#is that so fucking unreasonable?!#I fucking hate my workplace and this is worsening that #I know me being upset about this is ridiculous but I can’t help how I feel!#I’m choosing to believe the photoshop is the problem #bc that’s not how I look in the mirror #but it is very depressing #it feels like I’ll never like how I look #I know that might not seem like a big deal #but it is #I’m probably going to throw the picture away #I sure as fuck am not using it!!!!!#like I don’t give a shit if other people like how I look #sometimes the stars will align and I’ll get compliments and that’s just icing on the cake #I just want to like how I look!#now that I’ve started dressing how I like it is getting better #yesterday I modeled my latest self-made shirt #and was extremely satisfied with how it looks #god I should’ve asked the photographer to just let me take my own photo #I would’ve been able to get a decent shot!#personal #I have this terrible suspicion in the back of my mind #that they edited my photo to try and make me less queer #because I looked queer AF for that photo #I will say that I don’t usually like how I look in photos #like hearing one’s own voice played back #‘I don’t look/sound like that’#so it’s a distinct possibility I look like shit all the time #which is so fucking depressing

isle of bigsnax is just a little bittersweet for me (game mechanic spoilers under the cut)

like ok you . throw make smaller powder at the bugsnax so you can catch them as normal so it just like, adds a ‘oh you have to add the make them smaller powder to them before you capture them!’ but i was really hoping for a revised set of tools or like, closer to the legendary bugsnak fights like the mothza supreme with the big pizza rollers, & maybe even with a bigger backpack you can’t keep as much bugsnak in there because the snax are so big. also I wish we could have Bigger Gramble Ranch so I could go in and pat Big Bunger but that’s not much of an issue. i get it’s free dlc and i really like the more involved environment in broken tooth but the making them small first element is kinda just bummin me out. why not a bigger net :(

#i wouldn’t care if I’d had to have waited longer for this btw. they can take as much time as they’d like to make it #i just wish I could catch Big Fucking Bunger and carry him around with me #liek with how the game introduces tools to you: maybe chandlo could’ve made you bigger bug nets and snak traps.#or like a deluxe sauce slinger that slings two sauce at a time for the bigsnax #trip shot probably would’ve been fine. & the tools could’ve switched between snaktooth and broken tooth #i like that we kinda have a bigger lunchpad through the help of clawbsteronis :]#davebabble
