DraftDash Intro

I'm a tiny bit late to the party, but this is my DraftDash Intro! I'll be trying to keep up with the writing sprints this month (but I do have uni exams so we'll see). Below the cut is stuff about what I'm working on.

My project is a Doctor Who OC fanfiction, because there really aren't that many good gay Doctor x OC fics out there, and I want to be the change I want to see in the world.

The story I'm writing is called Statistical Outlier, and it follows a Time Lord who managed to escape Gallifrey, but crashed his TARDIS into the Earth. There, he was found by humans who wanted to keep him as an alien specimen, and so he eventually ended up in Van Statten's Museum, where the 9th Doctor finds and rescues him in 2012.

The Outlier isn't quite a typical Time Lord, however. The synopsis I've written for this fic as it stands is as follows:

When Gallifreyan children first gaze into the Untempered Schism at the age of 8 years old, one of 3 things is said to occur. They become inspired, run away in terror, or are driven to madness. The Outlier, named at the Time Vortex's opening, experienced something much different. Something he'd never be able to escape from.

Ooh, mysterious, I know.

My blog name is actually a reference to this project, and sorta the entire reason I created this blog in the first place!

Anyways, DraftDash seems like fun, and I can't wait to get going.

I was thinking about Killjoys too, how Dutch is set up to seem almost like she's destined to perpetuate abuse or even go mad like Aneela, but she doesn't. She ends the cycle of abuse instead, and sets them all free.

And then I thought about Game of Thrones and my queen Dany and I, yet again, several years on, wanted to fucking scream
