The Ishgardian Restoration - A Community in the works!
Good Morning, tumblr and friends!
Francy here, or, Francel Mun.
As some of you may be idly aware, I have been slowly making my way through the Firmament grind, steadily on the way to the Pteranodon mount. However, the Diadem slog is long, lonely, and tedious, and in terms of Skyward point allotment, somewhat unrewarding. The Expert crafts are more bearable, but it is still a lonesome endeavor.
In that vein, I had an idea that perhaps it would be nice to build a community centered around Crafting and Gathering, and, while specifically having the Restoration in mind, it need not entirely be just that. So, I have organized, and, am in the process of growing a discord community specific to the Diadem, and Firmament crafting with a social nature in mind. Whether you want to commiserate, level, or mentor and assist, there are roles to choose from, and friends to make. Or, even if you should just like to quietly lurk, and read, and see what is contributed in the social channels, this is alright, as well!
The discord is not limited to just those present on the Crystal data center, as parallel crafting and gathering is possible, and DC travel is achieved. It is possible to be from different DCs and enter the Diadem (but not the Firmament).
If you would like to discuss joining, please feel free to send me a private message. In order to negate the possibility of bots joining, I will not be linking the discord in this post.
Reblogs and sharing this post in some manner would be greatly appreciated! Supporting those going for this achievement is my goal, and hopefully, even after we reach our goals, we can keep this community alive to help others walking the path, later. Whether you are just starting, have been slowly working on it when you can, or, really putting the pedal to metal, we would love to have you!
Thank you for your time, and consideration!
-Francy

Does anyone remember Fetes in the Firmament? Well turns out they're actually a great way to get exp on your alt jobs! 1 Fete is about the equivalent of 1 leve and you don't have to spend any gil or materials! My main crafters are all maxed but I still got 3 alts so it was great to run into one of these while doing my weeklies!

Sometimes, as smart as I like to think I am-- I can be so dumb.
I'm leveling up crafters in FFXIV right? I've been using levequests between job quests, all normal. Until I run out of levequest allowances. "Damn. Guess there's no point crafting until I get more."
I FORGOT ABOUT THE FIRMAMENT.

Day 19: The Venture, Elevators and Ladders
Located on the starboard and port sides of the ship are identical arrangements of an elevator and two ladders that run the entire height of the ship. Following the usual aethernautical convention, the ladder on the right is used for traffic going up and the left ladder for traffic going down (“go right on up,” as the aethernaut’s saying goes). As the Venture tapers a bit towards the top, the rungs in the ladders encircle the entire well between decks.
The elevator is usually reserved for light cargo and large groups of people. While not against regulations, using the elevator alone or in small groups of a couple people is considered to be very lazy and rude.

Never did he think such a day would come, one which saw so peaceful an accord. Brewing amicability. Where a dragon, and a boy would work together harmoniously to tell a tale which would last through time.

Starting in on a new project, The Firmament, built around immense, indigestible scale. Given the weird structure and my other two webcomics, this'll have a pretty erratic update schedule, but I'm excited to see how it goes.
