Thank you so much for tagging me @rebelrayne @0shewrites0 and @libelle949 !!! And I'm so sorry for getting to this late🙈
How many works do you have on ao3?
Only 7 :)
What's your total ao3 word count?
178,312 words
What fandoms do you write for?
Just LITG. For now, at least lol
Top five fics by kudos:
Stargazing
The Answer was Simple
Snog, Marry, Die
You Don't Spell It, You Feel It
Beloved & Beloathed tied with Serendipity
Do you respond to comments?
Yes! Always! Getting comments is the greatest joy - responding to them is the least I can do to express my gratitude🥺❤
What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Probably The Answer was Simple, but a lot of my fics have angst woven into them🫣
What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Snog, Marry, Die lmaooo 🤭😂😂😂 Pretty much most of them have/will have a happy ending lol
Do you get hate on fics?
Not really. One time I got a comment where I just couldn't tell their tone? It felt as if they were almost disappointed with where I took the story, but maybe it was just me reading into things too much.. Either way, I couldn't bring myself to write for a few weeks after that🙃
Do you write smut?
Well, funny that you ask hahaha😅 I was just peer pressured into writing my first smutty smut (ahem Serendipity ahem), but idk if I'll do it again🙈
Craziest crossover:
Haven't done any lol
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Ummm not quite, but there was a time when somebody had posted a chapter of a Will fic and it was suspiciously similar to the first chapter/prologue of Stargazing. Like, their MC had a similar vibes for the name, was also an artist. The structure of the chapter was very similar too - it started with MC doing the intro, then had a line break and then a basically paraphrased paragraph from my fic of how the MC walked up to the firepit. It was so bizarre... That fic stayed on for a few days and since then was removed or hidden, but I still have a screenshot of it somewhere.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope!
All time favorite ship?
Oh gosh, Anastasia and Will are my beans, you know, they're my children, my babies, but Cece and Andy are just - I want what they have🥺🥺🥺
What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
🙈🙈🙈🙈 Jesus Christ. I'm struggling to write right now. I took too long a hiatus and now that I actually do have inspiration and desire to write, I open my wips that are so so dear to me and I love so so much (Stargazing and Beloved & Beloathed) and I just blank out. I get so scared trying to continue them because I feel like I'll ruin all my hard work, if that makes any sense? I feel like I don't know how to continue them. And then I get so overwhelmed that I just close the doc. And then the cycle continues and the writing pause gets even longer and it becomes even harder. But I really really don't want to abandon them because they need to get their deserved ending. Ugh. Sorry for rambling, but I think I just needed to be honest and get that off my chest.
What are your writing strengths?
I think just prose, in general. Like, descriptions of feelings/mood/scene setting and shit like that lol
What are your writing weaknesses?
Dialogue. Or at least it's my biggest insecurity haha😅 and probably not getting too carried away with descriptions👀
Thoughts on dialogue in another language?
Why not?🙌
First fandom you wrote in?
Litg ❤
Favorite fic you've written?
Don't make me choose. Don't. Make. Me. Choose. 😩😩😩 grrrrr ughhhhh hmmmmm farygbqeirgwrg-
You Don't Spell It, You Feel It
Tagging: I'm very late to this, so I think probably everyone has done it, but if you haven't - this is your sign!❤
When writing, did you ever suffer from a fear or underdelivering or misrepresenting a topic? If you did, how did you overcome it? I enjoy writing but rarely bring it to the public out of fear that I am either not doing good enough or badly portraying the themes or aspects of what I write.
Absolutely, and on the one hand it's a very healthy fear - it prompts you to do your research and be thoughtful in how you write. On the other hand you've just got to accept that occasionally it will happen. Inculturation is a hell of a thing, and leaves us all with a thousand kneejerk preconceptions and perceptions of the world, some benign and some downright awful. And sometimes they crop up no matter how thoughtful you try to be. And you gotta understand that when it happens and people call you on it, you just have to take your lumps and learn what you can from it.
It doesn't help, of course, that the words you write are only ever half of what your audience reads: five people reading the same book are reading five different books, each filtering the text through a lifetime of psychology and experience. And they will find themes and problems in there you never even considered, and they will also find resonances and beauty in your work that you could never have foreseen.
At the end of the day, writing stuff thats meaningful to you (hell, writing anything at all) is a messy, bruising business, and anybody who tells you there are simple solutions or clear rules to follow is either lying to you or to themselves.
But you can't let it paralyse you. Its like if you're playing football and you're worried about falling over. It's a reasonable fear and you should do your best to avoid it, but occasionally it's gonna happen, and unless you want to spend the whole game just standing still in a field, you've kinda just got to get on with it. Just try not to be one of those writers who's always taking dives and... screaming for the ref to get a free kick? Hm. That analogy may have gotten away from me. I don't actually know much about football.
Point is, I'm aware that this isn't the most reassuring writing advice I've ever given, but yeah, its a messy, scary business. Just do your best. Be thoughtful. Be kind. And always do your research.
Did you seriously reblog a post defending the sanctity of life of pedophiles?
You did not read that post.
I understand that it might be difficult, because of the knee-jerk reaction we all have when it comes to this topic. I admit I also had the emotional first-response of disgust. But I urge you to go back and try to read it again, when you are cool-headed.
Stating that 'murdering people we find disgusting is not the moral high ground it feels like', is not the same thing as 'defending the sanctity of life' of anyone.
And while it feels good to emotionally say 'we should kill all (people who do bad things that cause harm to others)' this does not actually accomplish what our brains think it does.
From the post:
denying the humanity of people who do horrible things accomplishes exactly three things:
give cover to people who haven't been caught yet by allowing them to use their humanity as "proof" of their innocence
silence any criticism of societal structures and institutions that facilitate those horrible things by putting the focus on individuals who are assumed to be so uniquely monstrous that the ways it was made easy for them are irrelevant
provide a shortcut to dehumanize anyone you feel like killing: simply accuse them of doing a horrible thing
Listen, to me, listen:
I know that we are all human and when we see someone committing evil things, we feel justified and good, and we want to use our teeth and claws to rip them to shreds. I KNOW it feels incredible to reply to pain and harm with equal violence.
But on an ideological level, if you EVER hope to understand how emotional manipulation and dehumanization on a social level works, you NEED to be prepared to unwrap this delicious i-can-murder-that-person-and-feel-rightous burrito.
You need to understand why it is not the swiss knife of justice that it feels like.
You need to know that it can and will be used to kill innocent people who don't deserve it, and you will not even notice.
Because if you can justify murder with a simple 'if you fit into this category you automatically don't deserve to live' then you are supporting an authoritarian regime, who can and WILL happily take the easier job of convincing you that some person that they need dead fits the description (of a person you've already agreed doesn't deserve anything but a swift and unquestionable death).
This is why, when they needed the gays to be feared and hunted, they labeled them 'pedophiles'. This is why they're now doing this to trans people. This is why dehumanization is a tool of oppression, not justice.
There is way to fix injustice in the world and protect children without becoming easier to manipulate and trick.
There is a happiness no-one else knows:
the feeling of mud between fully webbed toes;
the caress of a breeze on your moist shiny skin;
the warmth of the sunlight that slowly soaks in;
the gentlest hum of a thought far away,
as you sit and you soak and let time tick away.
we as a collective do Not talk about this line delivery nearly enough and for good fucking reason, i'll kill bradley james for this one line alone. he's just a little boy :'((
Your Jing Yuan breeding kink hcs saved me, thank you, thank you (I too, want to be pampered and taken care of by Xianzhou Luofu's kind, handsome and strong general without having to think about paying taxes or rent)
Jing yuan breeding kink brainworms going crazy chewing on my brain cables to make me short circuit. ANON IM GOING INSANE. Just thinking about him again made me black out as I wrote this whole thing. It was supposed to be a simple short answer but well… here we are…
—
Jing Yuan, your sweet and delightful husband who discovers his breeding kink (perhaps even a pregnancy kink, the night is young and we’re all insane here). It starts off innocently and then slowly trickles into a little obsession— sexually repressed old man who is centuries old discovers kinks! Wow!
cw | smut, minors dni, breeding kink, pregnancy, just jing yuan discovering his nasty side idk what to tell you
There are a few colleagues around who are in some stage of their pregnancy and soon headed into maternity leave. Being the general, of course he has extended his congratulations and well wishes to them before they’re off for a few months. The ladies in turn cannot help but prod if he has children of his own.
Surely, it should be well-known fact… maybe? He is quite the private man despite his high ranking position. No one aside from a very few select individuals even knew of you being his wife for the longest time. Never even knew the General was dating anyone.
So they can’t help but be curious, “General you must know what it’s like. Haven’t you children of your own by now with your spouse?”
He only smiles and chuckles fondly. The first seed of want, now firmly planted in his subconscious. Oh how the expecting mothers dote on him and say his children surely must look like the spitting image of him. All fluffy, silvery hair and kind eyes (Do they assume he’s the only one making them? What about your genes?). And he has to unfortunately let them down with amused, gentle smiles that, no, he has not had children.
Yet, some part of him whispers. A part that lays dormant for now.
The seed of desire takes root when he’s home with you and you’re fussing lightheartedly over Yanqing’s attire. Worrying over the young boy being out too late and skipping lunch. He wonders when it became so natural for you to fall into step as a mother-figure for his retainer. In little things, he notes. It’s not outright but it’s enough to make him pause and take it in. Chew it and over think it— let it linger in the back of his throat like the burn from a fine drink.
A mother… The thought is fleeting— a whisper unheard and carried with the breeze as Jing Yuan idles next to you in the gardens of his home.
Those next coming nights, for weeks on end, Jing Yuan is plagued with dreams of pressing himself deep within you. He fills your womb, whispering praise and prayer to your ear as he desperately begs you to bear his children. It’s something so carnal and raw and desperate he wakes up with a start, body drenched in a sheen of sweat and a throbbing erection. He’s panting lightly, having to go to the bathroom to sort out his little… problem in the middle of the night while you’re sound asleep, none the wiser to your husband’s evolving desires.
He doesn’t know what’s more torturous— closing his eyes and dreaming of breeding you until you’re both incoherent or looking at you while you sleep, daydreaming of your soft belly rounding out as the months ago by. Hips soft and just noticeably wider, breasts plump and full, and you’re glowing and–
Aeons, he’s hard again for the 3rd time that night.
The general, respected and composed and perfect, coming undone—untouched—at the thought of you having children with him. Part of him is a little distraught but, he thinks, he just loves his wife that much.
And he’s not wrong.
When he has you gasping and begging for release under him on the rare occasion he has time to love you how he wants, it devolves into fucking you into the mattress with a wild look in his eyes. Honeyed gaze watching you plead and fall apart under him as he now practically has you folded in half, his large hands sinking into the plush of your thighs as he presses them to your chest.
Usually he opts for pulling out and finishing on your tummy, but that night it’s like the aeons are working against him (or maybe with him? Lan the wing man, who knows). You’re begging and clawing at his back as he pounds into you approaching his climax— pleading and slurring your words of please please please Yuan inside– I want– I want it inside please please hurry h-harder please!
You’re playing with the thin strand of sanity he has left. Any semblance of decorum and gentle, vanilla husband is not worth it if it’s keeping your womb empty. But Jing Yuan will spoil his wife always and foremost. If it’s what his wife wants, he won’t hold back.
Could I request Alucard/Adrian with a s/o who's a polymath (she's a writer, an inventor, a spokeswoman, a scientist, etc.)?
"I don't know how you stand being with them." Alucard turned to look at Trevor. Confused by his unwarranted incredulous thought. "How can you stand being with someone so...perfect?"
The dhampir shrugged. "They aren't perfect."
"Damn near." Trevor countered. "I mean, I get it. Sypha is way smarter than me. But to have them be better at everything than you? That just sounds rough."
"There are bowls of fruit that are smarter than you Belmont." Alucard retorted. "And, they aren't better at everything."
"Name one thing."
"Dinner is ready!"
As if on cue, [Y/N] came into the room with a big smile and a big pot. Trevor saw Alucard straighten his shoulders. Steeling himself, in a way, and he couldn't understand why. Then, when the pot of what he assumed was .....soup?...was sat down in front of him, he could understand why. "Good gods...."
"Thank you darling. Could you get us some napkins please?"
"Sure!" [Y/N] beamed at Alucard before flittering off to get some. After dishing out the 'soup' of course.
"What the hell's even is this? Is that a fish head?!"
"They said something about making a roast earlier." Trevor's head whipped around as they watched the half-vampire poke at some manner of vegetable with a stoic look. Particularly stoic given that it looked like it could bite back. "I guess it went awry."
"I can't eat this. I don't think I could survive it."
"Hmmm.... it's a possibility. I've had a few close calls. Your human constitution may not make it."
"How did this even happen?? I mean...they can nearly do alchemy and handle your science magic. They make medicine! How can they fuck up a soup??"
"Ours is not to question why."
Trevor rubbed his face. Partly out of frustration. Partly to hide the look of it and smell. "You're not really going to eat this are you? I mean...you guys are messing with me, right."
"I can assure you they are not."
"And you're really going to eat this? Like, seriously?" Alucard picked up his spoon and seemed intent to do just that. "Why??"
"Because they try."
Trevor was surprised by the comment. Then he felt like a real heel. Someone had gone through all the work of making him food and he was complaining about it. How quickly he forgot about those days of hunger outside their company. They tried. He should at least try what they made in return.
Picking up his spoon as well, Trevor looked at the bowl and said a little prayer to all the saints he could remember. "It helps if you don't look directly at it." Alucard commented. Before they both tucked in and hoped (prayed) for the best.
