How do the M6 drive?

I recently got my drivers license and i missed these goobers so...here you go :)

Asra:

• Oh god...GET OFF THE ROAD!!!

• Pretty sure their license is a fake one...there is no way they passed a drivers test in their life

• Too distracted, forgets to follow the rules, forgets to put in the gas...

• They'd go to a gas station with the intention to fill the car with gas and leave with no money for gas but a thousand different snacks and drinks

• Prefers to be a passanger princess anyway

• Doesn't know anything about cars either, but that's why they have Muriel and/or MC ♡

• Stickers and little decorations everywhere they could fit. They're more concerned with the cars looks then functionality...

Nadia:

• Always the group driver

• Probably the only one responsible enough to drive more then 2 people

• Keeps everything up to date, follows every rule possible

• Is known to ever so slightly road rage during long car drives or really bad traffic

• Her car is neat and probably smells very nice

Julian:

• He's an okay driver

• Good at following the rules, no road rage at all, only slight annoyed glances

• Good reflexes, knows how to drive even under pressure

• His only big issue is that he will drive tired

• Obviously he'll claim he's fine and that he can handle it but after a few hours of driving, everyone would need a break.

• Falls asleep immediately after someone else starts driving

• Probably a messy car, but it works perfectly cause he does regular check ups (smells a bit musty though)

Portia:

• I personally think that she would not be a driver at all

• Even if she had a license, i doubt it would ever be her first choice to be the driver

• She's too scared, and panicky, and multiple lives would be relying on her

• Also, she'll miss out on seeing and yelling "cows" when the car passes some cows!

• On the rare occassion that she does drive, it wouldn't be too long, and she would be tense the entire time

• If she did have a car it would be a small, cute car. Nothing too much, though i think she prefers taking public transport

Muriel:

• Muriel is, i think, the perfect driver

• Doesn't road rage, good at following the rules, doesn't speed...

• But i don't think he has a license

• They are expensive to get, and it's not like he goes anywhere too crowded or important that the police would stop him

• He knows a lot about cars, probably lives in a car or a van with Asra

• Used to only drive with one or two people (Asra and MC) but as soon as there is more people then that he's tense and self concious and can't do it, especially not on any long distances

• Eventually Nadia gets him a proper licence

• He also wouldn't have a car cause he would share one with Asra, and he's mot that concerned with what it looks like

Lucio:

• ...

• No one is safe when he's on the road...

• He's not a necessarily bad driver like Asra is

• He knows the rules, and he knows when he is breaking them

• He speeds too much, only drives fancy fast cars, he's always in a rush to get somewhere

• Probably got his license revoked at some point

• Probably caused a few car crashes too...

• He doesn't clean his car or fix it, but he pays people to do it regularly. He has to have the fanciest, prettiest car, to match his personality.

A Year of Animation Day 53: The Dragon Prince, S2E1-4

So, usually, I try to tie in particular movies to important days. Today is my anniversary, and... well, I didn't even think about it. (Seriously, I looked at the calendar went, hmmm, the 22nd feels important why does it... oh yeah.) But considerin gmy husband an I had a D&D themed wedding, complete with me wearing draon ear cuffs, I think continuing with The Dragon Prince is fitting.

I'm trying to put a little more thought into the animation here. In season 1, I focused pretty heavily on the story, which I also did in Korra. Some of the particularly pretty shots I liked in these episodes are Lujane's house and the dolphins. I also really like that the breach is an actual lava flow because that's how the map is divided in the opening sequence. In addition, I thought there were some interesting camera angles here. In particular, the shot looking down at the boat from above, and the shot looking up into the falling rain from Callum's perspective.

And speaking of animation, I want to take a moment to talk about Callum's costume. The characters in Dragon Prince are not as well dressed as Zuko, but the artists did make some clever choices with the costuming. As I mentioned in my review on Pinocchio, Callum's red scarf feels like it has personal significance, even though we aren't told why. Maybe it's just because I've engaged with multiple stories where a red scarf is significant (obviously, there's Mako, but Gavriel Savvit's The Way Back also features a red scarf of personal significance.) I also really like that Callum's sketchbook has a strap on it? So it looks kind of like a messenger bag? I dunno, I just like the aesthetic. 

But it was recently pointed out to me that Callum's shirt, Ezran's shirt, and King Harrow's shirt all match. But unlike Ezran and Harrow, Callum covers his up with a jacket, which gives us some additional character detail. The fact that Callum is dressed the same is further indication of his acceptance by the king as his son. He is outwardly marked as royal. But Callum may wear the jacket to hide this part of his identity because it makes him uncomfortable, which is reflected in the way he talks about doing magic--he's kind of felt out of place all his life and he's never been particularly good at the things a prince is supposed to do.

Also, if you look really closely, you'll notice that Callum's shirt is still a little bit different. It doesn't have as much gold embellishment as Ezran's or Harrow's. Considering the artists took the time to give his shirt a pattern, I'm going to guess this was on purpose. Personally, I liked the idea that Ezran's and Harrow's shirts are made from a different fabric reserved for the king and heir, but Harrow and Sarai's outfits have patterning as well. (In which case, maybe Ezran's shirt is made from a different, less costly fabric, since it'll be too small for him next year anyway.) Nevertheless, I like the idea that Ezran has more embellishments because he's the heir. (Or, you know, the artists just wanted them to match without being identical.)

My favorite animation in this set of episodes is probably the bit where Lujane is telling Callum about the arcana and she keeps moving about in the scene, using her illusion magic. It's a lot of fun to watch, and makes the scene visually unpredictable, which I think should qualify for having a lot of motion.

My favorite episode is definitely "Voyage of the Ruthless." This is one of my favorite episodes in the whole show, as it introduces Captian Villads (the d is silent.) Mostly, I like this character because years before we married, by husband dressed up one Halloween as Captain Blindside, and I was his first mate, Eyes. Unfortunately, I did not make nearly as good a first mate as Berto because once we arrived at the Halloween party and I discovered everyone else had also dressed as pirates (completely unplanned), I kind of forgot about him having both eyes covered. It was also this episode that I used to get him to start watching Dragon Prince with me.

This episode also just has a lot of humor. Obviously, I love that his boat is named Ruthless, after his wife who doesn't like to sail. I also like the joke about "what happened to your right eye?" "I dunno! Came at me from the left." (And we we get more of Human Rayla) But Villads also just makes a good character. I know he's there for humor, but when you think about it, he's a very good sailor. Most ships take at least a couple of crew members, but Villads runs his by himself, with only help from Berto, who mostly serves as his eyes and tells him which way to steer the ship. Villads also knows his ship well enough that he doesn't need to see anything to know where it is (come to think of it, he may prefer to sail without a crew to ensure nobody leaves anything in the wrong place.) He's also been sailing long enough that he knows the wind intimately in a way that implies he may actually know the sky arcanum, even though he doesn't use magic.

I also really like the season 1 recap. Not only does it lay out a specific timeline for us, but I like having the recap in character, more so than the earlier episode recaps just being important clips. And while it was cool to see this turn into a letter that Callum was writing, I'm still sad to see that they didn't stick to this method with the later recaps.

So, apparently I hadn't been paying very close attention when Rayla confessed to being sent to kill Ezran. I thought she had told them about King Harrow, and apparently she hadn't. I do like how everything plays out here. How Callum is less focused on his injury to Rayla and more focused on how to break the news to Ezran. How he's able to forgive Rayla for not telling him after he's unable to tell Ezran. (I think there's an argument for the line, "when you care about someone, it's hard to hurt them" being a hand-holding moment, but I love it anyway because it so succintly expresses something I don't think I would be able to articulate.) I do think it's not good for them to keep it from Ezran, but honestly? I can accept "I couldn't bring myself to say it" as a reason better than "I did it to protect you!"

The bit with Callum going up the mountain to find the sky arcanum? This reminded me a lot of Zuko asking to get struck by lighting. I mean, literally, he's asking to get struck by lightning. He put his hand on a lightning rod. But I suppose that in a sense, they're both feeling lost and trying to prove themselves. I'm just glad that Callum was smart enough to realize that getting struck by lightning was not the right way to go about it.

There's a lot more I could talk about, but I think I want to end on Gren. I mentioned Soren's positivity in a previous review, and Gren has it here. I particularly like how he tries to greet Viren, but he doesn't know if he should say good morning or good afternoon. It's like when you're on a forum with people from all over the world, and they say, "good timezone!" But Gren's positive attitude also just reminds me of Phil in The Miserable Mill. It's utterly ridiculous. And yet, I still aspire to it. You go, Gren.

On channeling your energy, I could feel a very slight nervousness? I also heard love(could be self love or anything related to it in general), saw some green aura and a dog. Hmm I think your aura is currently green, probably the most dominant one atm.

I have divided it into five categories. I pulled two main cards for the four categories with a few clarifiers.
