this youtube ad might be the strangest one I’ve ever seen, in terms of format. It’s an ad for the new Exorcist movie, ostensibly, but look at the timestamp at top left— it’s ONE HOUR long!? It opened to a render/photo collage of a dark room with lightning flashing outside and some ambient sounds, then these two characters tied up in these chairs appeared; the whole thing has the vibes of one of those oldschool point-and-click horror games on Newgrounds to me, which is nostalgic but still puzzling. I waited to see what might happen… but these characters just sat there. One of them whispered, “don’t be scared,” which was kind of her. I appreciated the reassurance, even though she was the one tied to a chair in a spooky room and not me. The first time I saw this ad, also while watching on my TV, I waited for like 4 minutes to see if something else would happen. Nothing did, and I wanted to watch the new hbomberguy video (which, by the way, is great), so I skipped it. I also skipped it this time, because I wanted to rewatch the new hbomberguy video.
I think this must be a point-and-click sort of thing— hence the lack of stuff happening when just passively watching it, and the ridiculous runtime for the ad. If I was using a computer and mouse, instead of watching the tv, I would probably be able to click on the characters and objects in the scene, and progress the story to “finish” the ad long before the timer runs out. But alas, unless I get this ad on my computer, I’ll never find out.
(also I cropped the photo to show that I have a couple cool art books. Look! I’m cool!)

i've been back in a drawing mood lately, and have mostly been wanting to study, so this is kind of a redraw and mostly a study of a loish piece!

Day 17
This is based on an artist that does fat positive art but draws all of her woman AND HERSELF w a thin face. This is something so many artists do- and I get why. If a fat woman is seen as beautiful, most of the time it’s a plus size model who looks like other models except it looks like they used photoshop liquifier to stretch her out a little. It drives me NUTS. Do art of all different kinds of ppl! Not just with the same face!
