I dunno if you're still doing Witcher convos, but it's an objective fact that Yennefer of Vengerberg is *the best acted, written, and portrayed character in the show* and people who focus on Jaskier (who is a wonderful character) fail to realize that It's Yen's show she's just letting everyone else be in it.

Thoughts about Yennefer!!

I think she’s absolutely one of the most fascinating characters on the show. I appreciate that she’s like. The most Character of the whole thing. She’s a power hungry deeply selfish manipulator AND she’s also a really sympathetic character as well! She’s done some TERRIBLE things. She’s also like — eventually trying to do the right thing even though that does NOT come super easily to her. I think she’s really interesting and I really appreciate that she has a fascinatingly nuanced personality. Like, I would never want to hang out with her irl but I am obsessed with her Choices and Motivation and Character in the show if that makes sense LOL

(This is also about Netflix yenn btw. Game yennefer is not nearly as fun in my opinion LOL)

#sometimes the Girl Boss characterization of yenn misses the mark for me #like she’s a cold hearted bastard most of the time but fascinatingly NOT all the time and I love to see how that works in the show plot #anyway she’s absolutely the most nuanced and the most Unique character #in the show. in the game she is unfortunately. in my opinion. just kind of terrible to be around without the motivations that make her #interesting in the show #also rip but she and Geralt have No Lovers Chemistry but that’s just a me thing #they ABSOLUTELY have friends with benefits energy #maybe even enemies with benefits energy sometimes #the witcher #anyway that’s my rant LOL

#yes this is about kp #cute episode #im a little confused though... this was a step down from previous episodes in terms of form and content im wondering why #i like the breather after so many intense eps and presumably were gonna get tense again after this #but i felt like this was directed by a different person entirely🤔🤔 though they have 3 directors so maybe its just that #anyway this had a lot of shots where i just kind of...missed something like they werent quite right #the subject not really centered or something blocking the view those kinds of things...and audio quality but that might be #my illegal streaming site lol #anyway i actually liked most of the humor and cute scenes i think we need that if their commitment is to be believable #i also liked kims scenes..hes really cold it seems just drops chay and porsche when theyre no longer of any use or interest #chay was cuteee i wonder how he got the address really🤔🤔 maybe he just stalked kim lmao #im sure next eps we're getting back to gritty!! but this ep was quite effective in showing how much they want to try for each other #and how they love not being in a mafia situation for once lol which helps explain them staying together after something does happen #i wonder what tawan is gonna do...seems like theyre keeping him in a dungeon or smth hzjdhdjf #kinnporsche

Ted immediately forgives him but asks if Nate runs into dream-Ted aggain to apologize to him too #to make sure everyone on all sides of things is good #I love Ted so very much #yeah but it's after Nate and Beard team up in giving Ted the cold shoulder for refusing to bench Roy #Nate says that it made him feel physically ill #to be that harsh to Ted #so. you know. that's interesting.#listen I love Nate I want good things for him and sometimes good is hard and it probably will be going forward for him for a bit #but I am excited to see him go forward #also unrelated but - is this like a continuity issue? it's kind of a big one to miss... Ted gets loud in his flat in 1x09 #and gets yelled at by his upstairs neighbors. and says 'that's been a whole thing this week'#but then it's 1x10 where he gets loud and gets yelled at again. did they somehow get the order screwed up?? that'd be really hard??#or like - if not that then what the heck has been going on in Ted's flat that week?#by himself? apparently?

I think one of the things that irritates me the most about Twilight is that the backstories of literally every character aside from Edward and Bella are way more interesting than anything else that happens in the entire series

#i’m mainly referring to the other vamps here but seriously #alice waking up; not knowing who she is or who created her or why but seeing an image of her soulmate’s face in her mind #and knowing she must find him?#jasper fighting other people’s wars until one day he finally gets sick of it and goes off on his own and randomly comes across a woman #who he has never seen before in all his existence but is already in love with him?#rosalie murdering all of her rapists in cold blood? emmett nearly dying in a bear attack then waking up and the first thing he sees #is rosalie and he’s like ‘she is a goddess. i will marry her like twice per decade until the end of time’?#carlisle turning esme and keeping a polite distance from her because he doesn’t know if she’ll ever want him that way #but then one day his adopted son takes him aside and is like ‘she is so in love with you that i feel like a third wheel even though you’re #not together’?#hell i even kind of want to hear about edward’s murder spree. and those awkward years where esme was probably trying to fix edward #and rosalie up and they were NOT having it #i want to know if esme ever assumed edward was gay. she had to right #sorry to be a twihard on main in fucking 2022 but all the cullens aside from edward and bella are genuinely interesting and i’m annoyed #about it. thanks for coming to my ted talk #personal #twilight

#i’ve been doing pretty well these last few days and holding it together and really feeling like i’m starting to heal #and then #i opened spotify to find a playlist and saw that zach unsaved all of the ones i made for him; even the one we collaborated on #and i guess rationally it makes sense. why keep playlists your ex made for you when you’re in a new relationship.#but i don’t need to be rational! it fucking hurts and that’s the truth of what it is and how it feels #it just feels like we ended on decent terms and he fed me all this shit about what an incredible person i was to him and how much he cares #and how he’s here to be friends ‘whenever’ (not ‘if’. interesting!) i’m ready blah blah blah #but then he does like really kind of cold shit like this that feels as if he’s scrubbing me from his life completely #some of it is ego i’m sure. i unfollowed him first so he’s gotta ‘reject’ me somehow too. have to keep the pride intact #but it doesn’t feel good.#and i am tired — EXHAUSTED — of being the training wheels girlfriend for men to learn emotional intelligence and how to show love #so they can go give it all to a ‘better’ woman #idk. i’m tired. i had a long day. i’ll get some sleep and feel better tomorrow i hope #🫀

I had a dream that I was in a YA Gay Sports Romance Novel except the sport was a capella choir Roomful of Teeth. Then, I accidentally went on Tumblr and got my own dream spoiled for me.

#It turns out the seemingly cold and curmudgeonly bass romantic interest deliberately got himself beat up during their European tour #So that everyone would feel sorry for him and vote his way when he nominated me to join the choir. Shocking revelation!#He was in love with me the whole time he just doesn't know how to express himself in healthy ways yet #This is also kind of the plot of We Are Lady Parts (or at least a thousand fics I'm betting) but the dream was very 'this is a sport'#post o' mine #The dream was I think kind of a Foxhole Court au tbh #roomful of teeth #Spotify

#supergirl #supergirledit #brainia #brainiaedit #brainiac 5 #winn schott #querl dox #i love that Winn took it upon himself to figure out what was happening with Brainy - the 31st century really did wonders for him #(but I also absolutely think he's going to go back and immediately fill Nura in on all the gossip)#and I love that Brainy got a chance to unload at least a little bit but it's heartbreaking that it comes so early in this particular arc #when yes he's obviously struggling but he still feels like he has some small measure of control over the situation #by the time things are completely spiralling away from him he's totally isolated (save for the other Brainys who have an interest in #keeping him focused on what has to be done rather than offering him the emotional support he desperately needs)#it's just awful that even here he's already scared that he's becoming a bad guy (I've said before but I'll say it again - the fact that #Brainy has so much self doubt when it comes to the idea that he is genuinely a GOOD person breaks my heart)#and not just a bad guy but a cold unfeeling person who betrays the people he loves - the exact kind of villain he's most afraid of in 501 #and with absolutely no support network around him to remind him of who he really is #I also find the 'all i want is to be CLOSE with her again' to be an interesting choice of words #because obviously he wants to get back together - he's still in love with her after all - but it gives you the sense that he'd be okay with #going back to just being friends if it meant he could stop being emotionally (and physically) distant and keeping her so firmly #at arms length...after all they were friends and partners long before they ever entered a relationship #(I also think there's an element here of Brainy having resigned himself to the fact that - in his mind - Nia will never forgive him for #breaking her heart but just maybe they'll be able to go back to being friends and that will be more than enough for him - anything #would be preferable to having to hurt her and push her away)#and the absolute brokenness with which he says it versus the pained determination of 'i have to be cold'#(once again Jesse's acting in this scene - and throughout this episode - is brilliant and it was painful to have to cut it)#also the idea of Brainy being this torn up and forcing himself to stay away from everyone else while Nia's at game night finally beginning #to feel a little bit more like herself again and surrounded by so much love and support...breaks your heart a little bit huh?#mine #my gifs

#not to overshare on main YET AGAIN #but like... thinking abt community building & participating in community & how power comes from the people & also #due to [redacted] reasons (list too long but highly related to everything that makes school & working a problem)#i am. very bad at this. and i use all my like #ability to not be bad at this/overcome it thru sheer willpower #on like. passing school/working #which is probably a very sane & rational choice actually. but essentially makes me abt as effective as like #idk rich boy 2 who wants to work at facebook. do you know what i mean. my brain is so big but what am i using it for?#(keeping myself alive and fed)#i would love to be like. already enmeshed in a community. i want to be told what to do #you want a website? i can do that. you need someone to haul stuff or drive ppl around? i can do that as of two weeks ago #budgeting? project management? i can probably figure it out #reading a whole bunch of legal shit? not qualified but i absolutely did this for several small businesses #emailing? cold calling? i can do that #but like actually wading out into the world & like participating. in community. talking to people. looking back on the backstory tales thing i wrote for Nico, the 21k word thing i wrote in summer 2020 that really got me back into individual writing (as opposed to text rp, where much of my writing experience comes from). it was a pretty solid prelude to discacc ngl

i realized tho that ive written Akechi sooooo much like i wrote Nico. which isnt a huge surprise, i warmed up to him in the first place after i realized his similarities to my oc (personality And circumstance-wise), but also. i think i wrote kid akechi with kid nico in mind, bc reading this dialogue of kid nico, it’s like......... identical.

so like. What Do You Know. i filled in the blanks of akechi with my own oc. im certainly not surprised lol

#speculation nation #i have also gained So much writing experience since writing these backstory tales #i feel absolutely superpowered in comparison #the depressing scene in the snow that i was so proud of before. it's still pretty good. but it's also uh. pretty Typical for me rn?#the soul crushing sit of a kid in the cold. switching between inner thoughts & outer observations.#highlighting those inner thoughts by the apathy towards the less than ideal outer conditions #that kind of thing. ive kinda done that a lot in discacc lol #idk it's interesting to see. i love looking back on my old writing and seeing how much ive improved #yet at the same time seeing those bits that are so definitely My way of writing. a style that's survived throughout the years <3

#austin and ally #like i usually hc him as bi/pan but I Contain Multitudes okay #and just like. out of the four of them dez has the least amount of romantic relationships throughout the show #and i dont just mean that he dates carrie and only carrie #i mean he shows very little interest in dating AT ALL #like he had a crush on glamour kitty in solos & stray kitties and he dated carrie but thats IT #and i just think its interesting that despite him being The Love Whisperer and liking romance movies #he doesnt try very hard to get in a romantic relationship #and even in cupids & cuties he doesnt care about dating until the radio interviewer calls him a fraud #so i always felt like him deciding he needs a girlfriend stems less from actually WANTING a relationship #and more being told 'hey youre weird for never dating anyone' and not wanting to be alone #(which is a pointless character study for a different time)#and also i just think itd be INTERESTING #like the characters coded/headcanoned/made canonically aro tend be sort of. cold in a sense #like theyre so sort of cut off from the world and they dont feel romantic love is because they Cant Fathom That Kind Of Attachment #which is pretty gross but not really the point #my point is that dez isnt like that #hes warm and affectionate and loves ppl so so much #he just. doesnt have the desire to date anyone #mine #hnnng sorry for another long tag rant

#i'm working on the next chapter of butterfly effect and thinking about parallels #the thing about destiel and dreamhunter is that when you really dig deep they're SO similar!#claire and dean are definitely the more obvious parallels #but then there's cas who starts off as this cold unfeeling being and ends up becoming a father & someone who dies to save the man he loves #and there's kaia who instead of the 12 years of development is so strong all by herself and finds acceptance and a family in the waywards #and claire who is literally her soulmate #vs her double who kind of represents everything that cas would have been if he hadn't found those things #i just think it's so interesting! because the two versions of kaia DO sort of represent cas at the beginning and end of his arc
