Jonny must be the beast because feral Jonny and the whole heart thing... prove me wrong.
Tim or Brian is Belle.
Rest of the Mechs are the servants in the Beast's house. With an exception for Marius as Gaston cause I can totally fucking see it. He would suck at it though because it's Marius. And also, short Marius HC.
This is probably not new. But it's been brewing in my head for a good few months, ever since I put my Mechs OC in the iconic Belle dress.
so wait does consequences ts have the same kind of "what the fuck are you" kinda vibe as Brian? since it also is alive through magic, it's not really mortal or fae or spirit it just IS I feel like it must also be kind of uncategorizable. lyf is now double confused cause their friends boytoys crush's MARIUS'S bestie just isn't identifiable like at all
tagging @blazeismyname and @rocksanddeadflowers at the risk of starting another thread it's just the idea is not leaving my head and I want other people's thoughts and also I needed an excuse to call Marius lyfs boytoy
That Beauty and the Beast au with @blazeismyname I did passingly mention Shrek only bc of the "wants to remain a beast/orge even if they have the option to be human" thing in comparison to classic Beauty and The Beast and i just.... These fuckers have the same fit too.................
Barn Anon. Here's another one, my foot is numb cuz dog's sleeping on my lap and I can't move.
Pregnant? His human is pregnant? Gabriel nearly knocks his human over when he rushes to hug her. She's crying? Don't cry, unless it's out of happiness. He purrs and kisses her cheeks, he plucks the pregnancy tests from her hands to look at the results himself. They've made something! Would it be a boy or a girl? He's torn. He's had brothers for the bulk of his life but a little girl that looks exactly like his human?
He purrs happily and peppers her with kisses, good little human, he'll take care of her as her pregnancy progresses. He'll handle all the housework so she can rest and focus on growing their child. Their little miracle. Perhaps it's not as much a surprise to him as it is to her. He is aware of a few of his battle brothers with bonded humans that are "single mothers" with little ones that look suspiciously to those Blood Angels. Maybe it is mostly his fault for not using protection when he's fully aware of this possible end result. But... this can be a little surprise from him to her right?
He rumbles as his human mutters about needing to set up check ups and a nursery. He can handle the nursery, can he go with her for her check ups?
Set after Gabriel's Valentines day special
You feel your leg bounce as you rub the barely visible bulge on your stomach. You know exactly who the father is... given that he was the last person you had sex with. Gabriel coos to your softly sitting on the floor next to you trying his best to comfort you. Oh God you were an Astartes-fucker... and you got pregnant! He rubs your hand as he is certainly feeling your panic rising.
Gabriel should feel guilty as there was a possibility of getting his dear human pregnant but he just wanted to show her how much he loved her and was this not also the greatest way for him to show his love? His eyes flick over to the nurse as she calls her last name and he helps her up.
"Emotional Support Astartis?" She says with a smile and you just nod.
"Yeah I'm a mess of emotions right now." You say softly replying as you worry about people finding out... would someone try to take your kid?
"Well you've got your big guy. Lie down please." You obey and she tucks some of those hospital paper around you and some tucked into the top of your pants as cold get is rubbed on your stomach.
Gabriel watched just cooing happily but internally he was doing his mental checkmarks... he would have to tell the acting chapter master what he had done and then the chief apothecary would want to look her over... and then the small coven of alpha legion that is friendly with the legion? Were they basically a legion again? Either way they would make sure no one suspected anything.
You gasped seeing the blurry blobby mess that was your fetus? kid? You just were surprised to even see something perhaps you were hoping to be told no it was no longer there. You look over at Gabriel and you can tell he's holding his breath his eyes focused on the screen just looking over the little blurry blob with you. You wonder if they would have his red hair...
The visit goes well as you hand Gabriel the ultrasound picture... it doesn't look like much but... you can tell it means a lot to him. For Gabriel as he looks down at the little photo. Of course, the Apothecary would be able to get a clearer picture of their child but he didn't know why... but this was something he was going to cherish.
okay im not completely caught up on the thread so someone might have said it already but. carmilla totally made marius' arm right. like maybe he lost it in a hunting accident to a bear trap or smth (its especially relevant since im preety sure in canon it got crushed by his own mecha? don't quote me on that tho) then after she saved brian he was like hm. if she can build an entire body she could definitely make me an arm right. then he annoyed her about it until she relented

thinks again about how asgore breaks the mercy button bc he doesnt want mercy, thinks ab how he could theoretically kill you in one shot thinks about "If a monster doesn't want to fight, its defenses will weaken" and thinks about how asgore's defense weakens and thinks about how his hands don't hurt you and thinks about how, if you spare him and flowey's dead, he kills himself and thinks about "I like Santa Clause. He's a nice old man that never changes. No matter how cruel everything gets, he laughs calmly… and comforts the people of the world...I was never an excellent leader. But i think i might be a nice Santa Claus." Thinks about---
I WAS RESTRAINING MAKING ANOTHER THREAD CAUSE I'M DOING THE OUTER GOD'S WORK AS-IS BUT I NEED TO PROPOSE
So!! If we're going with adopted Jonny and Nsatya because I refuse French Jonny, we need to give them backstories.
MFS. WE. CAN. MAKE. HIM. KINDA. SOUTHERN!!!!!!
Born in England but taken overseas to live in South Carolina before he could speak. He probably gained a British accent from his parents, but a southern drawl which was starting to emerge around the 1700s. (Your Southern Jonny headcanon has done this, Rocks). He probably lived there until he was a teen and then was like "I hate this place", hijacked a ship, and tried to sail to Europe. This ended with him washing up on the shores of France where Nastya would find him. WHAT WASHED HIM OFF THE SHIP WAS A STORM, THUS WHY STORMS SCARE HIM!!! And also, what if his father was some kind of boater and he killed his father to get the ship he hijacked?
Then we'd have to come up with something for Nastya but I personally know less about her because I'm a heathen lmao
This all suggestions though!
@rocksanddeadflowers and @unsat-and-strange since yall are running this shit with me and I can't do it without you :)
beauty and the beast au let's go thank you @rocksanddeadflowers and @blazeismyname for feeding the fire in my brain about this I have more doodles I promise but take this for now
I know we've been giving certain characters way more attention than others (can't help it lmao) so what about Raphaella's wings? Does she have her wings (definitely I'm sure). Is she part Fae? Is she something else entirely? Did she make them? I deadass have no ideas but I think finding something other than vaguely Fae sounds fun just to mix things up a bit! (Also on the topic of Raph she totally robs graves for the bodies right. Maybe she hires people to do it too idk but that was a real thing that happened sometimes!!! Where people stole corpses (usually hired others to do the dirty work for them tho) to study the human body or experiment on!!! Graverobber scientist Raph <3)
im curious, do you think there is any good way to portray a redemption by death? like, can a character truly be made a better person by dying? or is it just an all-around bad trope? i vaguely saw what the authors were trying to do with tom and sandgorse's situations, but they just sucked too bad and gave it the absolute wrong effect imo
I think there's a way to make anything work! So I won't say "NO NEVER." But personally, I have a big bone to pick with it so I avoid it
A redemption death doesn't give the character time to meaningfully change, imo, or truly make up for their actions. That all has to come before the death itself. And even the very idea of giving your life up to "redeem yourself" just... sits uncomfortably with me.
Dying never makes a person better. It just kills them. A person who's dead is not changing nor growing.
So Tom and Sandgorse... what their deaths are supposed to do is re-frame everything they did before that point. With no apology on Sandgorse's end for how badly he hurt his son or wasn't there for his mate, he was a good enough person to die for someone else and thus must be forgiven. Tom thrashes two women and they both die because of him, but he was still willing to heroically throw his life down for his child, and so he is 'worthy' of being avenged and honored.
No growth. No change. No acknowledgement. The death is supposed to add sympathy to them, while there's no actual reckoning of how they hurt their victims. Not even a real consequence. "Their intentions were good, and this is proven through the ultimate sacrifice." As if that changes anything. It doesn't.
I think if there's an decent example of a redemption death in warriors, it's Bluestar's. I still have problems with how it believes Stone and Misty have to "forgive her" for some reason, REALLY don't like the fact that this series has always equated redemption and forgiveness... but that aside? Just focusing on Firestar, ThunderClan, and Bluestar?
I think what makes the moment so strong is that it is a moment of clarity through her cruelty arc. We saw the heroic person she was at the start of TPB. We know that her actions are coming from anger, spite, and paranoia. That is never shown as a thing to be excused. But while she's wrapped up in her own misery, Fireheart is being the leader she isn't.
And her last life is a return to form, spending it the way she is supposed to, as a leader, and as his mentor.
Her arc could never be about 'growth' because... she WAS a great leader. She WAS selfless, long ago. Her redemption death is a return to that, and a plot necessity. Bluestar and Firestar cannot both exist.
But, anyway, it's generally a trope I'm not fond of. I think that nearly anything can work in the right context, but I think it's so situational that I personally avoid it when possible.
i love tumblr i love tumblr eating my fucking!! posts!! bitch!!
anyways heres some CoCaL brian for the people
idk if ill ever finish this but ill def get at least a bit more done, just most likely not today,, i might even clean it up at some point but dont get ur hopes up for that one
