no but genuinely it's actually wild how little sense totk story makes. it's beyond small continuity errors or character arcs being beyond botched: their own self-contained proposal for a world is actively nonsensical, there's layers upon layers of stuff that doesn't even try to strive for an internal logic, and it gets worse and worse the longer you consider everything

I keep getting vaguely bummed out about TOTK which is so annoying bc I don't even dislike the game?? I'm genuinely having a blast with it. But also all the overarching but cohesive themes and meta storytelling about the reincarnation cycle and its consequences and the tragically beautiful world in BOTW?? Like what happened to all that?? That was what made me so mentally ill (/aff) in the first place!!

the worst thing about being a Zelda fan is the fandom is so large that you have to figure out what SUBCULTURE you fit into to join discord servers. I’m not that interested in things to do with BotW/AoC/TotK so I have to avoid the large majority of discord servers bc they’re only oriented on those games. I have no interest in roleplay currently so that eliminates the second biggest subculture. I don’t know what Linked Universe even is so uh no luck there. The Zelda fandom subculture I’m most closely aligned with is the Four Swords Manga fandom I guess but do they have servers and would they be interested in things not relating exclusively to Green, Red, Blue, Vio, and Shadow??? Zelda servers are hard man I just wanna talk about my OoT AU 😩

i know their designs are neat but i think their sudden introduction was pretty unnecessary and robbed us of more interesting concepts than it gave us new ones

Not Particularly Threatening is an explicit Link/Sidon fanfiction that plays with power dynamics in a literal sense of the word. It clocks in at 8k words and, I hope, tries to maintain a balance of "horny" with "character examination." It's set within the canon of my other BOTW work, To Be Well, but doesn't require knowledge of that story to be enjoyed.

Link’s heart stutters in his chest, something new now awake within it. He does not have the slightest idea how to ask for what he wants, nor if Sidon will be offended if he does. This is the kind of thing he should wait on, bring up before the situation gets hot and heavy, something to be discussed with clear heads and full understanding. This is play that could cross lines. But Link has never been a planning type. “Fine,” he starts. His fingers fumble over the signs: “I want—I want you to make me your prey.”

me.....memememememe........I'm replaying totk and....me. i wanna zora fish husband......I'm playing majora's mask for the first time in like 20 yrs too and although I'm not the biggest fan of the game it has so much good zora lore. I've been thinking back to one of the clingy link fics i did and i love this idea ^^^ with link acting like a little jetpack. prince sidon is nice & handsome & he adores link but the hero's just giving him a stinkeye while he holds you from behind, totally oblivious to your embarrassment at him being so cuddly when all the other zora are around. maybe he even snuffs out each piece of the zora armour set just so he can wear it around you in the hopes that you fawn over him the same way you do sidon. or maybe he'll stumble across the zora mask, and then, who knows?

Genuinely baffling that so many people like to hc that Zelda's new court in botw/totk and going forward would have patriarchal leanings and that she would have to adhere to tradition to keep their favor or w/e, when like. The Kingdom has been destroyed and displaced for 100 years 😭 its so stupid, she doesnt even want a kingdom in the first place
