ugh i know i haunt your inbox sometimes but you have to understand how your art changed my life. not in the ‘it gave me a huge revelation and redirected my life’ way but in the ‘I think of your art to describe certain feelings’ way. i have trouble picturing things in my head, but i can picture the colors you use and it gives me the same warm feeling that looking at your art does. it makes me think of when i was little and i would be all bundled up in my winter coat to drive around my neighborhood with my parents, looking at christmas lights on a dark night. you reflect through the window just as clearly as those lights did, and i feel just as warm and snug.

i love sending you these gushy asks because when else will i ever be able to send my favorite artists the equivalent of fan mail? if i went to an art museum, i would never be able to contact half of the artists there. i might as well take advantage of technology and let you know that your art rocks. maybe you won’t see this, but i hope you will.

gushy anon, i think this is you again. I read this back in november when it was first sent, and it was so positively overwhelming i was not sure how to respond. All these months I've kept this in my heart, knowing someone somewhere thinks of my art like this. My art means a lot to me, but thats because i made it, i see myself in what i create. I love sharing it, but i never expect other people to live it the same way. Its just silly colorful art. These kinds of messages remind me why sharing art is so important: I don't know whom it may reach and in what situation they find themselves in when they see it. We are all strangers in this big digital world, we will never know where we end up. And yet for a short glimpse, we share something special. So thank you, for sharing this something special with me<3

i just toured this magnificent castle, and the inside was covered in these gorgeous murals and wall to wall, ceiling to floor paintings. you posted your latest work while i was up there, however i didn’t see it until i got down. but my first thought was ‘wow. i know who i would hire to paint my castle, to tell my favorite stories and legends’. i’ve never even seen inuyasha lol, your art just exudes the same aura of fables at bedtime and stories around a campfire.
