****Spoilers for the WaT new chapters*****

Just 6 chapters and they’ve literally revealed so much - like I’m halfway through my re-read ( on WoR atm) and the number of times the “Wind” and Shallans “fortune” is spoken of is crazy!

Like Kaladin’s chasm kata thing and he fights with the wind and she laughs? The wind guiding his steps when he’s protecting Adolin during the “Whitesspine uncaged” so much that he could still doge with his eyes closed!!!!!

Also when Shallan draws after she sinks the ship in the beginning of WoR. She draws Yelb climbing out of the water with other survivors and a woman carving out a fake body beneath her (what Jasnah basically did with soulcasting to save herself from the assassins)!!! Fortune!!! (Didn’t know what the heck this was at first but coppermind comes in clutch once again.)

szeth is all like "I hate killing people. I hate myself for killing people. Why must I kill people all the time" and then every time he fights it's the most elaborate fight scene ever. There is ONE GUARD and he lashes him upwards, binds him to the ceiling, puts his own spear under him, and then waits for the lashing to run out so the guard falls down and is impaled. and every fight scene is like that. if you think murder is morally wrong why did you do that to him

Wit really saw two traumatized kids trying to change the world and said, I can and will hold them softly, and then did!

Seriously loving these interactions between Wit and Shallan and Kaladin at the beginning of Wind and Truth.

He’s the Fatherly support that both of them needed and never had.

He’s so soft with Shallan. He calls her Brilliant and tells her that he’s Proud of Her.

He tells Kal stories, and teases him in just the right way. He reminds him that he’s human too and he can and should still enjoy life.

I just love seeing this side of their relationship sooo much!!

I need Kaladin to survive into the second half of Stormlight so he can be a mentor. Like, main characters turning into mentors in the spin off or sequel isn't a revolutionary concept or anything, but imagine Kaladin having his own version of the giving up a shardblade for the bridgemen.

I have a spreadsheet with all of the chapter titles in stormlight and the interlude chapter titles. We'll see if we can find any patterns!

Current theory is that "Knights of Wind and Truth" is the book Kaladin and Szeth write while bored out of their minds on the Shinovar trip. That title has all the vibes of a group project with horrible compromises
