I absolutely looooove this couple in their cabin, Marlon and Florence. Their banter is great, Florence made them soup, and I cracked up when they asked about the Fireflies and she said “oh yeah, we get those in the summer.”

Why is every character in The Last of Us so endearing?

She was in like 5 minutes of the show and I wanted to see more of her. She was just so low-key and nonchalant and she made them SOUP after they broke in. And even when her partner was like “The fuck? We have guns in this house...USE THEM!!” she was just like “Didn’t feel like it.”

Take a minute to think about it. At first, it might seem like her just being lazy and not wanting to get up.

But she literally made them soup, so she obviously got up. She just decided not to choose violence. She just fed them and chilled.

Respect.

And her laugh was really infectious (eh...that word is never going to be usable again).

Honestly, if the apocalypse did break out...hanging out in the middle of nowhere away from civilization and not getting bogged down by the depressing weight of the world?

Goals.

Just let them live their best lives.

Okay so someone tell me because I’m autistic and sometimes don’t catch social cues (sometimes I do but I have seen this scene life four times now and I’m still not sure if this is wishful thinking) but I think Marlon and Florence were genuinely charmed by Ellie? Thought she was cute and violent and adorable? I’m asking cause I didn’t play the game and I don’t go off wikias for little things like this cause it’s often based off user interpretation so here’s a poll for you guys. Were they charmed or disturbed by the small foul mouthed child? I mean obviously Florence chose to get up and make them soup so obviously she chose non-violence and in the end cause her crack about the gun being across the room was bs if she got up to cook for them, so in the end Florence decided that violence at all wasn’t worth it but feeding them was; so, do you think that sarcasm translates to how cute they SEEMED to think Ellie was? I mean I’ve sorta convinced myself but sometimes autism blinds emotions for me and I gotta ask. It looks like they adore the bratty girl.

Hello everyone,

Brazil is underwater, and we come here asking you for your help.

As some of you may know, the state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) has been getting torrential rains since last Monday (29/04/24).

In four days, it has rained 436,2 millimeters (17,2 inches), which’s triple the normal amount in a month, which is 140 millimeters (5,5 inches) 

More than two great rivers in our region had their volume duplicated, or sometimes, triplicated in size.

This means all the cities that are close to these rivers ended up completely underwater

There were more than 110 towns flooded and the estimate is that more than half a million people have been affected by this climate disaster. There are also thousands of people who are arriving in my city (the state capital, Porto Alegre) as climate refugees, coming from communities displaced by the floods.

Through this unprecedented tragedy we have been really happy to see entire communities mobilizing to help others. Still, there are people who have lost everything, especially those in marginalized communities living in precarious, unsafe and unsanitary housing.

That’s where you come in. We need money. Money to buy food, clothes, medicine, basic hygiene products, mattresses so that refugees have a place to sleep, basically everything.

Right now, the biggest demand is drinkable water: my city is almost completely out of water, because the water treatment stations have been flooded. 

We understand that you may be able to give very little, but also what is little to you means A Lot more to us. Just a dollar is enough to buy 5 liters of fresh water.
