A few notes about episode 2.10 of The Legend of Vox Machina :

Oh, so they did introduce the time-distortion element from going back from the Feywild ! (Mickey Mouse meme : It's a Surprise Tool That Will Help Us Later !)

“Funny story ! I kind of... lost them... it’s really not that funny.” Marisha’s delivery of this line made me laugh SO MUCH

HONOR, UNCLE IROH (sorry, wrong show)

Man, the 1vs1 part of the fight is as brutal and harrowing as it was in the stream. If I remember correctly, there were hostages (some children) in the square... ; here Pike is the incentive.

Grog getting impaled on the pike is horrifying, but I can’t ever forget those toothpicks Matt put on the original map.

The 2nd part of the fight is even more intense and the movements are so fluid. I really liked how they cranked up the heat.

And then VOX MACHINA !! FUCK SHIT UP !!!!! What an iconic line

The Rage !!! song is so awesome, my god. This 3d part of the fight is so so so so VERY WELL DONE. I love this show.

Gotta respect a little a man who attacks with his own cut-off hand.

The Pokeball moment. Perfect, no notes, amazing spectacular, etc.

AT DAWN WE PLAN !! Ah, so many iconic lines in this arc !

I was too busy at the start of the amazing Scanlan/Kaylie tavern song with the little scenes here and there to pay attention to the lyrics. Me, at the end : “oh, this is about masturbation. Yeah, figures.”

“And then, I disguised us all as cows !!” Oh, nice call-back !

OH MY GOD the ending is just FULL of second-hand embarrassment !! SCANLAN !! you asshole

The tavern song, which I renamed “Make the blad man cry, shimmy-i shimmy-i o !”, has no right to slap that hard, but by the gods it does

I'm calling my shot for season 3 of The Legend of Vox Machina.

May 3rd for the premiere, so the finale lands on a US holiday weekend/UK bank holiday.

But broadly my gut says sometime between the end of Invincible's run, last episode out on April 2nd, and within a few weeks after Amazon's upfronts which start on May 14th, because it hasn't been mentioned in any of the things I've seen regarding those upcoming searches for advertisers.

Currently watching: w victor: darker than black and the 2nd season of the legend of vox machina! i still have to foist badlands rumble (trigun movie) upon him .... soon... eyes dot emoji. but on my own im watching game changer, katanagatari, and various random shows that ive seen go by- i just finished deaimon, and was just gonna start bocchi the rock <-guy who genuinely appreciates a good slice of life.

Currently reading: shifty eyes. yes. r- reading..i do that. jk. mairimashita! iruma-kun, san-gatsu no lion, things like that. just light stuff. fending off the naruto or bleach reread w a stick

I only just got into it a month ago, more or less; I'd watched the first season of The Legend of Vox Machina and loved it to pieces, but for some reason the 2nd really imprinted in my brain deep enough that I started watching the streams and having an absolute blast.

I think that's one of the best things about good fiction or entertainment; you used to be totally disinterested in something, but now it evokes a ton of feelings because it hit the right emotional chord. And that can spill over into mundane details of your life, finding new meaning in simple things you associate with it. I'm glad you're really enjoying the series! ☺️

i thought i’d do some writing, but my head hurts and the 2nd season of legend of vox machina is out, so i’m gonna watch that and lurk around for a bit before going to bed.

I’ve been meaning to do a post about the things I noticed in the Legend of the Voices video, so since a new one came out today I figured I’d combine my observations from both. Here’s a list of things I’ve noticed in the last two The Legend of Vox Machina behind-the-scenes videos.

I tried really hard to do some lip reading for this one, and here’s what I got:

3:19 - Ashley says, “Holy shit!”

4:07 - Laura says, “Let’s have a table and another round for Vox Machina!” She also says this a few other times in the video, but this is the clearest.

8:33 - Liam says, “Is that... the ___?” I couldn’t figure out the last word, but I’m reasonably sure the first part is right.

These are just my best guesses of course. Also, if that’s really what Laura is saying, then she’s got spectacular articulation.

The Legend of the Music of The Legend of Vox Machina

There wasn’t much to see in the background of this one, but I did manage to catch one thing during the section about Scanlan’s songs :
