me, rereading several of my half-finished oneshots and drafts: huh i love this. damn i'm a good writer. man, i want to read more of this.

me, remembering i have to sit down to write to finish these fics: ah

#liveblogging life #i was cleaning out my scrivener projects last week and man my oneshots file is uh... lmao #i start SO many projects based on a whim usually write a decent chunk and then get distracted or lose motivation #and then i come back to it and im like wow this is actually a great idea i love some of these scenes! but oh shit #to finish it i have to actually write the rest.... fuck #there's a couple of mcu oneshots that have been in there for literal years that i desperately want to finish but do NOT have motivation #also thinking about keep to the stars... i never got to get to my favorite plotlineeeeeee :((((((#but also i didnt dump 170k words on ao3 to just never finish it so maybe one day. the halamshiral chapter has been half done #for like. three years. lmao. i think ive even got like 15k of it #also several times i went HUH. that was a good line/piece of dialogue/clever moment #it's wild how much more i like my own writing the longer i go between looking at it lmao

guys the RePhanimated project is coming out on Monday (well that was the goal anyway) and I realized too late I accidentally made Mr Lancer look like a literal chode. he looks like a fat benis. it's too late to do anything about it

#might have just lost all my ipad data…. all my refs and art files….#i was literally working on the cutest piece when it locked me out and my password wasn’t working #i’m on recovery mode rn praying it didn’t wipe everything but i am not a lucky man most of the time :(#sucks enough to lose most all my references but god my art files too?#that’ll be all the unfinished 1d pieces i loved and was saving for a big wip dump gone….#all my old commission pieces…. my merch designs… my photo studies and digital sketchbook pages….#and my super recent pieces i was really proud of all gone :(#praying my art files are at least partially okay…. even if i lose my ref i can find a lot of saved on my socials #but god losing all those files is going to destroy me a little #especially because i’ve been in a good art mood for the first time in quite a while #hoping wishing praying etc everything will be fine!!

hey so important heads up for users of amazon (especially if you have your ebooks through amazon):

if your account is locked (such as because of repeated failed login attempts from an unrecognized device, as an example), the ONLY way to unlock it is by providing information about your recent amazon purchases that have been made within the past year. if you have made no amazon purchases within the last year, there is no way to unlock your account.

in other words, if you have for example your entire ebook collection associated with your amazon account and that's your only way to access it, and you don't purchase something for a year, and amazon arbitrarily locks you out for some reason, you will permanently lose access to ALL your books with zero recourse.

I spoke to a customer service person at amazon today to try to unlock my account, who explained that in the system on her end there is NO other option to unlock an account except verifying the recent purchases, and if there hasn't been a purchase recently enough that option isn't available to them to access.

so uh. fuck amazon to hell for their ability to steal all your books at random and give you no way to get them back.

#luckily i share a separate accoutn with my sister where we pool our ebooks for a bigger collection we can both read #and the account i got locked out of was my personal account #so like in my case I didn't lose anything except my wishlist and record of what seller I bought my favourite keyboard from #but like jfc now I'm like. what will happen if this ever happens to my ebook account????#like fuck me guess it's time to figure out if I can download an actual file for the books from amazon #and start keeping all the actual files of the actual books on my storage hard drive #like for FUCK'S sake there's nothing these days you buy digitally that is actually YOURS #always a middle man holding access who can steal your goddamn shit from you at any time #makes me insane #like sorry that I don't want to participate in a fucking protection racket where I have to pay amazon a yearly tithe #to guarantee my continued access to the items I literally purchased and own #me posting

maaaaaan. and now my pc is stuck in a bios loop. tells me it cannot find any bootable devices. checked the cables and everything seems alright?? trying to repair start up thru USB windows installation next but I have a deep dread in me that this could be worse :(

I hope the files are recoverable.#I think the extra SSD is fine. which means my bg3 saves should be okay.#but the other drive?? bro I’m an idiot.#not all of that is backed up.
