The Monster That Challenged The World doesn’t. These murder snails threaten one lock system at best. Fun in a way, and I love Hans Conried.

My Coronation Saturday: was up by 8:30 am, made coffee, switched on the news and it was nothing but live royal coverage on all stations! Which shouldn’t have surprised me, really. I settled on Sky News and was only half paying attention. I glimpsed the great and the good arriving (Dame JoJo Lumley. Ant and Dec). At one point I glanced up and the camera was totally focused on Goth scarecrow Nick Cave arriving, finding his seat, sitting down, fiddling with his program, getting his mobile phone out and scrolling. What made me want to kick the TV in: the sight of Liz Truss smiling, entitled and confident. The gall of that woman! Someone on Twitter posted that if Truss can attend the coronation, the lettuce that outlasted her stint in Number 10 should don a fancy hat and attend too. (Fortunately, I entirely missed Boris and Carrie Johnson). Then I switched to that weird Talking Pictures station and the 1957 sci fi b-movie The Monster That Challenged the World was just starting. That was far more engrossing!
