I thought that it was stupid that Brandon Sanderson had the narrator of Tress of the Emerald Sea call all the unnamed sailors "Dougs" when he could have just called them, you know, sailors. But then I started using the term. Turns out having a word for "yes, we know that realistically all these individuals have unique identities and personalities, but they're not the focus of this story so we're going to treat them as faceless background characters" is surprisingly useful.

wow, "dead Dad" is a challenge ... now if "DeadMom" the list is miles long! (and thats before even counting the Disneys)
oh hey, Cinderella has both dead parents!
Haha, I was just joking in that post, my Taylor challenges are over for the time being! I will sketch you a little Cinder-Taylor for his Dead Dad Disease diagnosis tho. Unfortunately, it is terminal, but not for him
(I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if everything is resolved and Freddie brushes past the whole situation immediately next ep, but I think we all think it would be neat to see Taylor actually upset his dad is dead)

@a-mag-a-day I love this episode, both for the statement as well as its place in the narrative. Yesterday many people shared how Anglerfish hooked them from the start, but Do Not Open is the one that convinced me to at least see where this podcast would go.
If Anglerfish was the lure, Do Not Open is the warning to both Jon and the audience. Advice on how not to fall victim to the supernatural: be lucky, be smart, but most of all, do not engage. Do not open, look away, don't be curious about what's in there, don't walk into the kitchen to see what's screaming. And hope that whatever is haunting you loses interest.
So of course both Jon and the audience completely disregard that warning ;) This statement is just fun and a bit weird! A mysterious warm(?) singing (but only when it rains) scratching (at oj) coffin, that compels people to open it.... On first listen, I thought it was just a new take on a vampire. But then, what was up with his appartement complex being completely empty? How did that figure into it?
And I love how descriptions in a statement seem to gravitate towards the themes fitting their main Fear, even when it's not directly relevant. Like John being described as short and "having an odd density" (despite being of the Stranger), or the rain being "hard, heavy, dark and wet".

jason marching stone-faced (ha, ha) into the palace holding medusa's head and then when pasiphae says it won't kill her saying "no, I will." fucked SEVERELY though. let's keep up that energy babe! if you can do all that for ariadne you can stay faithful for longer than a week!

I have finally finished going through my Critical Role tag!
That's 128 pages of fixed tags, once I cleaned up unnecessary duplicate posts, and now it should be pretty easy to navigate. Everything that's tied to a campaign is either CR1, CR2, CREXU, or CR3, and everything else has a cast member's name tagged.
Characters now have only one tag per character, stuff involving most or all of a party is now tagged as the party (Vox Machina, TM9, Bells Hells), and I have tags for CR NPCs, CR Guests, and CR Setting. So if I forget what tag I used for someone, I can go into one of the above and find a post about them pretty quickly.
I have about a million more fandoms to go through and do this for but I'm confident that with one exception (Pokemon) each individual one of those is going to be a much shorter task.
