The amount of victim blaming is astonishing and appalling in that ask. How dare people say ‘it’s a you problem’ like yeah it obviously is???? And the environment cultivated isn’t helping. a person was struggling and reaching out for comfort. Jesus Christ can people be anymore crass

I don’t know if there was malice in those responses since it’s the Internet but it felt that way. I apologize if I misinterpreted.

You did the best you could to help and I think you did such a great job.

Besides the anon mentioned a therapist we don’t know what stage of recovery they are in throwing around the word npd could have been triggering in the moment. They might still have npd still ascribed to one specific person — which from the looks of it they most likely did. It’s probably not meant to be a blanket statement as a whole for an entire community of people this person has not met. And that’s not their fault. and no having npd or aspd does not inherently make someone bad but damn Disney certainly does do a good job at making it seem that way no?

If you live in America the healthcare system sucks. the education system sucks. I can only speak from where I’m from. If I hadn’t gone out of my way to educate myself on mental health topics, I’d probably be one of these people on Twitter saying ‘loki is so narcissistic hes only capable of loving himsElf hahah’

On one hand representation matters. I agree it’s important for people to become familiar with these things. If we’re familiar it’ll become less scary and less stigmatized but is this really the representation people want? Why do I feel like people are jeering and othering loki based on these traits— I have to assume it’s these ascribed traits because there’s nothing else to him?? Is he funny? No. Is he smart? No. I could go on. He’s more of an outcast in his own show than anywhere else. I think in last night’s episode he referred to one of Loki’s as ‘monsters’ ??? Yeah feelin the self love there. The ‘monster’ word really touched a nerve for me. Quick! Someone ask Tom how he feels about that when he comes to tumblr.

The Wanda show for all its flaws.. she still got to grieve. SamBucky show didnT treat his ptsd as a joke. These characters moved. They went from point A with their feelings to point B with a completely different feeling. but somehow for loki.. it feels like theyre making a mockery of him and what he represents . More people should be mad about this. The work is rushed sloppy and underdeveloped. Loki deserves better. we deserve better. I think they should have left him dead. No frost giant =( nofrigga =( not even anything about the impact living in Asgard would have on him as a frost giant. That could have been a phenomenal Segway into imperialism and othering of the “enemy” but whatever I guess.

And it’s not just mental health it’s the way theyre handling his queer identity?? What’s going on with that??? I’m fighting the urge not to say they made him incompetent because he’s queer and That the writer / directors arent feeding into male queer stereotypes.

You know… going through the loki tag all I see in masses are ship wars & harmful hurtful misinformation about ASPD. Not once did I come across something where we heard how the mess the writers created impacted actual real life victims. People turn to these characters for comfort. and with Response like the ones under that post is probably why we won’t hear from them.

Last year during quarantine I binged a lot of superhero content because I felt helpless so I understand the closeness one can feel even to a fictional character. I’m trying not to take anyone’s acts of self preservation personally but By the gods. What a mess.

While this little episode yesterday was mildly annoying, your ask was one of today's highlights, and you raise so many good points, I think everyone deserves to see some of your takes. And thank you, your praise and kind message is very much appreciated, my dear :)

Telling someone their pain is their own fault or not real (or "a you problem") is one of the worst things you can say to a person in pain and it makes them just feel even more horrible. And it doesn't matter if this person has a chronic illness, mental health issues, a disorder, or nothing at all.

So I'd like to say just this once that my blog is supposed to be a safe place to have civilized discussions and have fun or grouch together. But if someone comes into my house and attacks my guests or sends me hate mail and death threats, just know I'll block them without a second thought. Do they spark joy, do they not spark joy? Follow or block, easy as that. The main reblogger from that post was talking from a point of personal experience, is my best guess, and their reaction is therefore at least understandable, though I didn't appreciate the way they talked to anon. I sincerely hope they mispoke, as I'm sure we all do at some point. I'm not always as eloquent as I want to be, that's for sure lol The other meanies though...not so much. To be honest, I'm so confused by the notion that some people automatically assume that if you talk about a specific person that hurt you and mention one of their traits or an illness, you mean that everyone having that trait is a monster when that's not in the least what you're saying. Saying this one person hurt me, this is how, and that's why this interpretation hurts me, shouldn't get you victim blamed. Victim blaming is bad, this shouldn't be a hot take. I'm not from the US, so I don't have the same strained relationship with the health care system. My country's health care system is actually top of the tier (hard to believe sometimes, though), so I don't quite know how to get professional medical help or information without trusting the sources. The assumption that I was talking about ableist lying shit, when I was actually talking about the stuff in the waiting room of the therapist center or what the women's house around the corner or a lawyer hand their clients and patients, and then gets checked by national health institutions to be put online for easy reach for people who might seek help without someone (maybe abusive) noticing. Trusted sources, people, you have to find believable, trusted sources.

I'm actually quite well versed when it comes to different diagnoses, procedures, disorders and health issues. In part because of school and uni, in part because of the people in my life. NPD just isn't one of them, so thank you for the link. I think at this point everyone knows at least one person struggling with pain. Getting on top of every health issue can feel quite impossible when faced with the varied mass we know today and all the advances we make in therapy and medication. We should always educate ourselves, but no one can know everything all the time, we all have topics we specialize in. And getting screamed at won't make anyone learn faster.

Which brings me to your next point, which is a Loki point, yay! :D And boooo, because how mental health is handled when it comes to Loki is just disgraceful. No matter which interpretation of Loki you like or what illness or problem you associate with him (from PTSD to child neglect and abuse, from NPD to depression), he was done dirty. The show's making fun of him, undermining his pain, belittling his feelings and past experiences and showing us that mental health is a laughing matter to Marvel/Disney/Waldron. Disney did fairly well with WandaVision in parts (still not sure how), I concur, but I haven't forgotten how they treated Thor's PTSD and fatshamed him or how Ragnarok turned Loki's suicide attempt into a joke at a party.

It's not what issues Loki has or not, it's how he's treated and depicted in relation to those issues. They're throw-away lines at best, misinformation at meh, and harmful messages they want to hammer home at worst. Which of course hurts the people, the fans, who saw something of themselves in Loki.

Same goes for Loki's gender and sexuality. He's Disney's 8th first gay character, after all. That tells us everything. I think as long as some people refuse to curate their own fandom experience like blacklist topics, block people, or just simply skip over posts that go against their personal preferences, there will always be some storm brewing on the horizont. We can just continue to search for the people and niches we vibe with, have fun and keep our own blogs safe havens for other likeminded people to find us or find a place where they don't feel alone anymore.

Alright so i was just going to try and ignore this hoping it’ll blow over and that she’d stop harrassing us that’s clearly not happening so

If you’ve ever interacted with a tumblr user going by or that has gone by any of these urls please do block them and possibly warn anyone you might know that she could reach: • elfsona (current url) • lzayol (also current url) • despurr • saikah • amaneh • ahngieh • 0sani •anti-shizaya • cupup • saikabot • boostedana • solosa • super-milk-chan • princesszange (these are the more prominent ones, she quickly changes url weekly whenever called out, will update) She goes by Sonia/Osani, is 22 and from Texas (will also usually include being a linguistic major in her bios) She’s my ex and is known mostly for: being abuser who’s sent numerous death threats before and has sexually harrassed minors, generally just hopping from groups and servers just to start drama and find an easy lay. She’s also the reason why my and @neckhorse ‘s inboxs are closed, as she’s prone to send endless harrassing and threatening asks

That’s my inbox. Only about 20 of those arent from her. I’ll enclose some of the more striking ones below+context: (the context being me deciding to break our unhealthy relationship)

Trying to feel better about herself by shifting the blame on me:

I must precise our relationship was a ldr. She would get upset if i didnt want to sext her back and guilt trip me into doing it anything. Not wanting to admit that she tried to pin the blame on me somehow.

The context here was me having reblogged two (2) selfies of asian mutuals/blogs.

When i’d call her out her trump card would be calling me cracker or whitey because that gives leverage in arguments that aren’t about racism in the slightest. Also pretty unbecoming considering she’s voted Trump herself

Typing and sending something like this clearly shows superiority and innocence in any kind of argument:

Context here being ?? I deleted all pictures of her upon breaking and never mentioned. Probably trying to get a leverage on me using my phobia i guess. Also sort of hypocritical considering she’s threatened to impersonate me and go send my mutuals compromising pictures.

Just like 90% of her asks, once again completely unprompted My take here is that she’s trying to make me feel jealous despite being utterly disgusted by her The habit of finding new romantic interests monthly seems to be an ongoing thing she does but that’s just tea and not something that should be on a callout :eyes: but yeah she does have a history of approaching people just for intercourse and to try and force them into a toxic relationship just to deny everything and proceed to harrass them to kingdom come so watch out if you’re a friend of hers

context here is: 1-my brothers sexually abused me in the past (because comparing an abuse survivor to their abuser is something totally ok) 2-guilt tripping as usual

Here we can see her having no grasp on how healthy relationships work and how breaking off an almost year long relationship that made my mental health plummet to rock bottom due to daily emotional abuse was just me overreacting

Context is, once again, guilt tripping Also no there is no record of me ever making fun of self harming and never will be

Here we can see her smartly admitting how she takes none of what she’s done seriously and is entirely unapologetic about it she’s merely playing the role of the victim trusting knowing her followers will blindly believe her

This is my current blocked list on discord all people except the two i obscure are her the list will probably increase as she keeps going to the trouble of making new accounts for the sole purpose of harrassing me

Lastly is the reason i wanted to finally make a more or less proper callout post She recently made a post accusing tumblr user @neckhorse of being a sexual predator despite having no proof and that never happening since she was the who abused her The reason she asked her followers to block her is to prevent them from ever interacting with her since they’d end up knowing her true colours

(update) -i’ve been sent this ask the other day, just to prove how she’s still actively harassing people and especially mentally ill people using that. It’s sickening.

Puppet Week, March 7th

Day 5: Appreciation day. For the amount of time and effort Jack, Robin, and Signe do to bring Anti to life for us to enjoy- and (on this side) to everyone in this community for fanart, theories, edits, gifs- all of which makes this experience so much fun to watch and participate in!

oh man, this could be a long one.

to jack, robin and signe, there are no words for the amount of appreciation i have. the dedication that you all put in to making anti a terrifying reality is inspiring and amazing. ive touched upon this a little bit throughout the week but the creative genius behind not only anti but all the characters on this channel is outstanding and has really got my creative gears turning, ever since killjacksepticeye. so thank you from the bottom of my heart for fueling that inspiration and keeping me afloat during writers blocks and times when my anxiety tries to tell me things i know arent true. from the way anti is edited to the way he’s acted it all comes together so beautifully, and i am so excited to see whats coming next.

i also want to thank you personally jack for taking anti as seriously as we do. minus the whole glitch bitch thing, but hey, when you make a character as terrifying as that we’ve got to cope with it somehow aha. without getting too much into it, ive come from fandoms where the creators cherry pick what they want to hear from their audience. ive had really bad moments of feeling like i didnt matter as long as i watched a video and kept my mouth shut afterwards unless it was to spew positive praise. now, of course, i know realistically you cant listen to all of us or get to all of us, etc, but you try your damn hardest and i love that about you, and this community is overwhelmingly positive because of it.

in regards to anti and your characters its so, so refreshing to see you be so open and honest about them. when you mentioned anti at the end of the simulacra videos and how you felt like taking a break from him was better, i totally agreed. you answer asks on tumblr about him and schneep and chase dont hurt my boy please with such grace because you know how much we’ve gravitated towards these characters, creating stories around them and headcanons and comics and such. i appreciate the fact that you appreciate it, and are so outspoken about it and work with us rather than against us to make something totally unique and cool. you’re a ‘gaming youtuber’ with a handful of characters that your fans have taken on as creative muses, you don’t find that everywhere, and you certainly don’t find a creator who embraces it and his community in such a lovely and thoughtful way.

on the tumblr side of things, i firstly have to say a big thanks to @markired and @lum1natrix for being the first jse/markiplier blogs i followed due to your amazing gif editing skills and just general loveliness. right before i dived head first into all the anti stuff, i used to check your blogs on the daily, your content is wonderful, and it’s made me low key want to learn how to make gifs.

1 oh, youre italian so i think (?) we're in the same timezone so I do see you a lot going after antis but I guess it is merely coincidence. anyway I indeed stated that they won't understand, and that most argument and presentation work is for the people who are undecided on who to team with. more "sensical" antis use very compelling arguments for people who do not know the discourse and its implications (think of the children/fiction has an emotional impact) and it appeals to vulnerable people.

yeah, you do make very good points. I’m just tired. I’m tired of being shamed for being queer, for being the “wrong” kind of queer, for being a woman and into nerdy shit, for being the “wrong” kind of woman into the “wrong” kind of nerdy shit, and tumblr used to be the only place where I could nerd out and be around peers and not feel shamed for it, it was the literal only place where I could be myself without getting shamed for it.

I’m tired, and I don’t have the energies for debate anymore. I’m baffled that this website went from being welcoming and warm and good to oppressed people, women, queer people, disabled people, mentally ill people and from being an actual community to being... whatever the fuck this is. Look, I am going to try to maintain my composure here because rationally I think you are probably genuinely trying to offer helpful advice, so instead of brushing it off w/ a “thank you for your concern but no” or like, freaking out really publicly over it, i am going to try to explain why this is not an option for me and why this kind of ask is very upsetting to me personally. this might get kind of long-ish and it may take me a little while to tag for triggers after I post it so until it’s been like 5 or 10 minutes after posting it, everyone should proceed with caution. and like, I do appreciate that you care about my wellbeing if this was indeed a well-intentioned ask. but the truth remains that like all of the people (except the psychiatrist herself) involved in the first big medical disaster did care about me and wanted the best for me so, to be blunt, apparent good intentions do not mean i can trust people about this kind of thing.

I’m putting this under a readmore.

When I get this kind of ask the first two things that I think, even though I know they arent rational, are:

this person thinks I am a pain in the ass/dislikes me for some other reason and wants to get rid of me so they dont have to listen to me talk any more

this person wants to harm me by convincing me to get back into a bad situation

Please understand that it isn’t something I do on purpose, I am just extremely paranoid and about this subject in particular, along with one or two others, I am EXTRA paranoid. I read this ask when I was on mobile hours ago and I’ve been trying to get myself together enough to avoid shrieking in all caps that you cant make me do shit and that i refuse to put myself in that situation again and what is your problem, anyway, because logically i know you probably are trying to help and i should be thankful rather than terrified and angry. but i still dont feel like you’re trying to help. i like, can’t.

I am currently seeing a psychologist, but I cannot be fully honest with her because I am a minor and everything I say to her she could and might repeat to my parents. I don’t want to talk to them about my issues, they say they are supportive and they try to be but they only ever blame my diet for all my issues and tell me over and over again about how I should try yoga, and they won’t shut up about it until I start crying and screaming. When I am an adult I might be more upfront with a psychologist.

I will never step into a psychiatrist’s office again. I’ve had two experiences with psychiatrists. one lasted only a few days, because I recognized very similar shit to the first one happening. the first experience I had with a psychiatrist ruined my life. she should never be allowed to practice medicine again after what she did. it’s very hard for me to speak about this in detail to be honest, because it is really upsetting. the tl;dr: because the “best pediatric psychiatrist in florida” decided she wanted to use me as a test subject to find out what’d happen if someone took high doses of three medicines at once (doses of each medicine which, for the record, were too high for someone of my age and weight even if it was only one medicine prescribed, and she prescribed all 3 at once with NO working up to the high doses from little ones like you’re supposed to), because she manipulated me and my family, and because my parents took her word over my word and over my grandmother’s word, i dissociated for MONTHS on end despite having never dissociated at all beforehand (or maybe over a year? not sure) and now dissociate at least like 70% of the time despite being off of the medicine, felt neither happiness or sadness for the whole time, went from an A-B honor roll student to a failure who had to drop out of school mid-year, lost massive chunks of memory as well as my ability to recall stuff that happened since very well short or long-term, developed a horrible fear of doctors which prevents me from seeking medical help for certain issues because I cannot trust doctors, developed near-constant dizziness and nausea (side effects of the medicine that did not fucking go away when i got off the meds), lost my formerly great attention span and now can hardly read more than like 2 paragraphs of anything unless I’m REALLY interested in it and can’t watch a whole 30 minute episode of a cartoon without taking a break every couple minutes and cannot function well in academic environments, and quite frankly it’s possible that i wouldn’t have split off from my host in the first place if not for that whole fiasco, considering she had no history of dissociation prior to that and i showed up shortly after the end of an abusive relationship which ended while she was on the medicine. (I also split off while we were still on the medicine and we finally got off of it a few months after I’d initially split off.) it’s possible she could’ve just coped with it without ending up with me here had she not been in a dissociative fog the whole time. here’s a play-by-play of the whole thing in detail if you care to read that, it’s tagged for triggers so please read the warnings on it separately from this post if you’re worried about anything specific being in it (link)

So, no, I won’t see a psychiatrist. I would literally prefer to die a slow and painful death than offer up my autonomy on a silver platter to some random ass stranger who might have bad intentions again. Thanks.

I was hit from behind on Wednesday evening heading to work. The driver was ticketed by the police and their insurance company has admitted full liability. Injury wise, I have whiplash which thankfully, is going away now. My car, according to their adjuster, is going to be claimed as totaled. So, my car is valued at 7400, and repairs just from visual inspection, are 7015. So they are going the totaled route as its cheaper for them. After they buy the car from me, they will sell it to salvage, expect to get 2k from it, and only be out 5400 instead of a full cost of repairs. So I've had the car for a year and half, taken out on a 5yr car loan. I still owe 12k on it. After they cut a check to the lean holder, I'm still responsible for 5k on that loan. The bank and my insurance at the time didn't offer gap insurance. Stupid of me, I let my current policy expire to search around for a more affordable policy. I kept procrastinating, and the accident happened with me having no insurance. Lucky he hit me and is at fault. I'm trying to see what my options are. I've gone to the liable company's website and see their basic plan for my state, law requires 25k in property liability for at fault accidents, plus medical etc. So I'm wondering what should I expect from the lady handling this claim. I'm not fooled when she called me yesterday and said that she is here to work with and for me. Saying that there is probably a lot of talk about lawyers, just know they will take 30-40% of you settlement. I just bought a 1995 CBR F3. My first bike I got last year was a klr250, rode it since last summer all year (no car for me), even rode in the snow for the hell of it.
