The inaugural Totally Tubular Festival will tour across 17 markets across North America starting June 28, 2024 in Santa Barbara, CA and closing out July 27, 2024 in Cincinnati. The tour includes a July 18, 2024 stop at Pier 17.

Cuando The Nerves se separaron en 1978, Peter Case y Paul Collins continuaron brevemente haciendo música juntos en compañía de Harlan Hollander (guitarra) bajo el nombre The Breakaways. El material que hicieron adelantó en buena medida el glorioso primer LP de Paul Collins´ Beat y acabó viendo la luz en el disco de 2009, “Walking Out on Love: The Lost Sessions”. A estos les conocí gracias al legendario recopilatorio doble “Who Put The Bomp!” (Bomp! 1981) que incluía el “Walking Out Of Love” de más arriba. Las notas interiores dicen: “Ahora Mr. Collins trabaja noche y día para crear “AM New Wave” ¿Tendrá éxito? La canción 5 de la cara 1 da pistas”.
