to better describe the physique of our youngest cat, our household has recently coined a new word that I think tumblr will appreciate: it’s a combination of buff, plush and plump, and that word is

~PLUFF~

we have found this a very satisfying word to use!

this is Juno, the ur-pluff:

she is PLUFF, exhibiting a perfect soft density of catloaf, and we love her

Notes on colonial tea now that I’ve tried it beyond "history bounding is fun."

1. Definitely an acquired taste but the taste is the least issue to me, the scent is very strong but very relative in perception, if you don’t like strong taste and sense not for you, I don’t mind them. I’d say it’s a "weird" mixture of English breakfast tea and the chai my aunt makes which I both like, it’s just… lacks subtlety and is very English. 

2. Steep at 195 or higher I recommend at least 198 f. 

3. Given how strong it is taste wise, I’d say amend with your own preferences, this particular tea is clearly designed to be sold and made for a crowd and while it’s definitely stronger than any modern tea I’ve ever had I think keeping in mind historical context in everything is incredibly important.

Prompt-- A silly bet that Mulder and Scully take too seriously because both want to win despite being on a case. :))))

“Femur,” she says, prodding at it. “Likely adult male.”

Mulder wrinkles his nose. “What’s that…wet thing?”

Scully shrugs. “Miscellaneous thigh part.” A blowfly smacks her in the face and she swats it away.

“Miscellaneous thigh part? You went to medical school for that, huh?” Mulder pokes unhappily at a fat maggot.

“Exclusively. Plague of Justinian?”

He rolls his eyes. “You even trying here? 541-549. Named for the Byzantine emperor of the time. Rats, blah blah blah. Dana Katherine Scully, I’m starting to think you WANT to sing Christmas carols in Starbucks in September.”

She scowls. “Shut up.”

He leans past the femur, leans into the salty-sweet pink Fibonacci spiral of her ear. “First American to win a Nobel Peace Prize?”

Scully considers him through half-lidded eyes. She extracts the bone from lowcountry pluff mud, from maybe 15 years of neglect. “Theodore Roosevelt,” she says, with her lush little mouth. “Russo Japanese War.”

He’s not in love with his partner, he ISN’T. Learned that lesson with Diana. But good lord, her 470 nm eyes, her cactus-flower lips.

“Integrate 2x dx between the limits of 13 and 10,” he says, because she’ll know the answer and losing to her is the hottest thing he can imagine.

“69,” she says, prodding the lesser trochanter. “You can sing Rudolph or Jingle Bells, I don’t even care.”

This is Prince Plufferz; a sweet sleepy and wise clown with a library castle for a crown!!

He was a dear childhood character who close to my heart for years- and he got a maaaaajor upgrade a few days ago!!! He finally has a solid unique visual design!! :3

His library, also known as the "Pluff Library", is connected to him and is full of thousands of books. Whatever is written and brought into it inputs directly into his memory- and that means he has amassed a lot of knowledge in his head too! He has magical powers that can allow anyone to enter the library to read and chill to their heart's content ^^
