Thinking back to a few months ago when I was talking about Stranger Things with one of the kids at work, could not for the life of me remember the name of Jonathan's actor, and was reduced to trying to describe him.

The way John tells Harrow he sometimes wishes she were his daughter in htn and then later finding out he *does* in fact have a daughter but she's nothing like Harrow but he still tries to connect with her and share his culture with her and gives her what she wants (I bet she was the one who decided to go fight on the frontlines because it used to be her dream and she was still bitter and hurt over Harrow) but she's still not what he wanted and they both know it and oooouough aurgh eck

one of the breakup songs of all time, very fitting for the hermits themes of isolation. i love this song a lot (its one of about five reasons dare to be stupid might be my fave studio album) and the imagery for this one was very strong in my head so i knew exactly what to do for it. cheer up al! its nothing a bit of arson wont solve.

I decided to try Chapelwaite before bed because it didn't look like a very good adaptation of "Jerusalem's Lot" and I already knew the plot and I was curious (and dubious) about the adaptation's choices.

Anyway, now I'm sitting up in bed--the locks checked, the light still on--listening to the creaks and whispers in my century-old house and thinking about my life choices.
