I keep wondering why Doflamingo fired such a horrifyingly large number of bullets at his own brother? After all, it is unlikely that this was caused solely by his extreme irritation, resentment and anger at Rocinante.
I think if Doffy had the chance, he would have fired all 16 (sacred) shots at Corazon, knowing the Heavenly Demon's obsession with everything related to the Tenryubito and their traditions. However, his Flintlock is presumably only a six-shooter. And since Doflamingo prefers to kill his enemies in the same way as any tenryubito, with a pistol, he most likely emptied the entire clip into his brother.
It is logical to assume that he did this because he wanted to kill Rocinante. And kill for sure.

We do not yet know anything about the true strength of the Celestial Dragons or their abilities, but we can say with confidence that they definitely have stamina, endurance and are very tenacious of life. The following examples are worth remembering:
Saint Charlos, who received a terrifying punch from Luffy, a club blow from Mjosgard, and a combined attack from Sai and Leo that few would have survived.
Doflamingo himself, steadfastly withstanding Luffy's powerful blows and even deadly gamma-knife attacks from Trafalgar Law.
The already mentioned Donquixote Mjosgard, the only survivor and practically unharmed after a shipwreck off Fish-Man Island. His brutal public execution was carried out personally by Figarland. He was shooted.
Finally, Rocinante himself. After all, his acquaintance with Law begins with the fact that an angry boy delivers a potentially fatal blow with a knife to the offender’s chest, in close proximity to the heart. After which Corazon, as if nothing had happened, again sat next to his brother, showing almost nothing about the severity of his wound. He later received multiple bullet wounds from the Barrel's Pirates and was severely beaten by Vergo and members of the Donquixote family. And after all this, he was still able to stand on his feet. Here it should be remembered that he himself told Law directly (unless, of course, he was lying to calm the child) that such a small thing (as a few bullets in vital organs) would not kill him.

In general, Doflamingo most likely knew what he was doing, and carried out the execution of his brother who was disappointed him with the cold blood. However, rather than a quick death — his “forgiveness” — in the form of a bullet in the head, which he loves to rant about so much, Doffy still preferred for the person who was so close to him six (?) shots to the chest. And terrible slow death from bleeding and cold. God, what a sad fact is this!
Well, I won’t hide the fact that I still desperately want to believe that Rocinante, with his stamina and endurance, was quite capable of surviving the shooting (I believe in the One Piece tradition of bringing characters back to life!) Perhaps, having lost his memory, he is alive and still continues his journey, at least in the ranks of the Revolutionary army. But that's a completely different theory :)
Russian translation below
⬇️

I have an unshakable fear that in reality Dragon would 10000% be the type of person to spend too much time on snitter (snail twitter) and say things like “UM WELL ACTUALLY YOU SHOULDN’T BLAME WORLD GOVERNMENT CITIZENS ABOUT [insert pirate-related political talking point] BECAUSE MARINE-BASED EDUCATION IS VERY LIMITED AND DOESN’T TEACH ABOUT [basic pirate concept]” like constantly and how people shouldn’t say they “hate” Marines blankly because a lot of them are just pressured into it for financial reasons and because Marine propaganda is super duper powerful
And then Ivankov has to text him like 8 hours later to shut up
*lol* I actually don't think he would take the side of the Marines considering how angry he was in his 30s. I don't think he's got a lot of empathy at that point and Vegapunk preached to him that there are good people within the World Government (but who knows if Dragon took that criticism to heart.)
Maybe he wouldn't go posting Cross Guild marine bounty posters (well, maybe he'd take a picture of Garp's but that's personal) but I don't think he'd be particularly protective of Marine's and maybe also the average citizen's sensibilities X'D Though if he's too much of a dick that might not really help the RA's popularity, some diplomacy might be needed.
The one - to me - annoying thing I could see him going on some rants on is that monarchy is actually not a completely flawed system. Seeing how Cobra's death was celebrated as a win for the RA and led to a lot of follow up rebellions against kings he probably should keep his mouth shut about his personal opinions on Cobra having been a good king. X'D
(But then again the whole "The World Government isn't our enemy, it's just the Tenryubito" comment from Koala is kinda irritating to me because that and the whole "there are good kings actually" idea (which I might just be interpreting into Dragon's anger about Cobra) don't seem very revolutionary to me. But we don't know if Dragon shares Koala's sentiment. I feel that man could burn everything down if Iva wasn't there to do impulse control *lol*)

OP ch 1140 SPOILERS
My reactions as i read:
Ulti may not always treat her brother right but she does care about him
is Gaban using adv conq haki? damn
Roger prates telling Luffy the straw-hat suits him always makes me smile - it's the highest form of compliment
Luffy, you have no idea what "Ya-san" knows...
that's... one way to shut Luffy up i guess lol... i'd be worried he'd eat the key tho
where did he pull those axes out from what
Luffy referencing the Scream painting there lol
Zoro to the rescue :D
RIP tower
Gaban keeps complimenting Luffy :D
G5 here we go! :D (the castle is not surviving this arc)
i wonder if the falling rubble is gonna have consequences... this feels like a setup for something...
lmao
they got so fired up they forgot why they were even fighting lol
oh i'm sure you will want to see him again (Oda, if you don't give us this i'm gonna scream)
awww Shanks always hyping Luffy up to his parents ^^
... oh no (back off, scum, back off!)
i really wanna know how this summoning works
they summoned two???!!!
also what the fuck is that???
oh wait, he has hagoromo clouds, it's a zoan df (a mythical zoan at that)... those clouds are white, not black like the others associated w the WG have... what does that mean??? (my theory so far is that: white = natural awakening, black = artificial awakening)
there's so much info on just this one double page idk what to focus on first
they were not prepared to head out at all lol
which means they don't need any preparation or consent from the individuals to be summoned
it also seems that GKs' duties include not just fighting, but also taking care the "civilian" Tenryubito have everything they need
did we know these families already? they also have "saint" in front of their names, unlike Shamrock and Gunko (although Sham's specified he's a world noble while Gunko's didn't even have that... i wonder what's up with that...)
is Gunko... embarrassed? bcs she saw a man in his underwear? (it is an embarrassing underwear ngl)
Sham's getting called back, idk whether to be relieved or disappointed
they talk about the late king like they knew him personally... why would he want to visit his tomb? what's in it? or did he mean it in a "to pay respect" way? i knew the summoning circle in the throne room was sus!
who tf is Mark
"abyss" ... hmm... i'm gonna wait for the official translation to unpack all that
a "game"? a "game"!!!!????? like the "game" you bastards played on God Valley??!!!? that "game"??? nah, fuck off! don't you dare! argh i hate the Tenryubito so much
Great chapter, so much new subtle information, and still many more questions, wouldn't expect any less from Oda :D

𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐏𝐈𝐄𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄

WAIT. WHAT IF....
You probably remember my theory about the flooding that will destroy de red line, right? BUT what if... is not exactly produced by Luffy and allies but by Im-sama itself? what if Im believe the Red Line is once again their "salvation"?
We know Im and the WG posses "mother flame": the weapon that's able to make islands disappear and leave a huge hollow in the sea, right? [ in my opinion that thing is a dragon, a mechanical dragon/snake replicated by VP from the "real" one that was the one who created chaos during the void century. I have that theory here」. We also know what's happening now after Lulusia disspaeared; a hollow in the sea, an earthquake and the sea level rising for about 1mt more. That is causing islands to sink.
So what if Im will start attacking the people that live "under" the Red Line to drown them (like I believe happened 800 y/ ago) Tenryubitos will be "safe" since they are obviously pretty much above the waters (over the RL) . That's why Im wants Vivi, not only because of Lilly BUT ALSO because I believe they have something to do with the rain.
That's also why Joyboy had Noah... TO SAVE PEOPLE FROM THE FLOODING.
It is clear that Binks no Sake speaks about a storm coming so it's time to sound the drums of liberation!!
I think I was mistaken with who was going to bring THE STORM and create the flood... YET, THE RED LINE WILL BE DESTROYED BY LUFFY. That's WHY tenryuubitos wear those "helmets" THOSE ARE SUPPOSED TO GIVE THEM OXYGEN IF THEY EVER DROWN!! Is not that they "don't want to breathe the same air as the rest".
what if those things they have are actually valves for oxygen tanks?
reminds me a lot of the bubbles from Gyojin Island...
Idk man, I might need to create a ml with my theories :P

What does everyone think?
celestial dragons/world nobles
your regular typical tenryubitos:
they did not know any of this. Imu and yriaf never told them about crocodile’s and luffy’s celestial dragon ancestry. This lead to many of them having confusion and frustration in about many events.
for example: after the gray terminal fire, saint jalmack went missing after being ordered to the empty throne.the holy knights and jalmack’s family have no clues of where he went. Many celestial dragons thought imu sama ate him.
(Imu have promised to The asl ,after yriaf picked up sabo from the revolutionary, that zebra /butterfly granny would make the “bad bubble man” go away. You can see where saint jalmack has ended up)
Most celestial dragons are scratching their heads on why sir crocodile was sentence to prison instead of execution like any kingdom usurper fate would have been.
Most confusing of all is right after sabaody incident. The bounty for luffy went up, but The roswards family aren’t allowed to press further charges against straw hat pirates. Neither the military/marines are allowed to used luffy assault on a world noble as the excuse to hunt down luffy indefinitely. The reason for this is unclear, but the five elders stars told the marines and the roswards that they should not waste their time on a rookie pirate. Reality, they are all pansies who are all afraid of their princess’s and boss’s wrath.
in general, all the celestial dragons have a healthy fear of their princess yriaf and their mysterious ruler imu sama. They never have seen imu sama’s true face other than the silhouette of them. However, they all think imu sama is this terrifying being ,who, if the world nobles did not please them or any continues any constant worship, then imu sama would destroy the world in a terrifying matter.
The celestial dragons also think that imu sama eats people, like how are you gonna explain all the people going missing around the Pangaea castle?(imu have no comments on this).
they also think that Yriaf is the child of their “god” and have no other parent. It didn’t help that imu sama have given the entire Mary geoise to baby yriaf as her “dollhouse/toy city”.(who let imu to be a parent?).
There is a general fear of Yriaf too, Yriaf is completely free from all rules, the accusations of the crime of blasphemy and from holy knights too, as she was also technically higher than their boss.
which means aside from the authority to summon a admiral , she also have the ciper pols and holy knights at her beck and call. With the power over the holy knights and connections to the five elder stars, high saintess Yriaf can order even a celestial dragon to executed and get away without any consequences.
luckily for the celestial dragons, princess Yriaf is generally very nice and slow to anger.
unless, you did something very, very bad. For example , treating a commoner very badly under her house, whether it her servants or a common celestial dragon’s slave, the No. 1 rule once you step on her main residence is that she don’t tolerate slavish behavior or forms of abuse.(Yriaf prefer if there are no slaves at all. But again, Imu prevents any further abolitionist behavior of Yriaf because of the grounds of being too obvious. Imu also instruct yraif to play an airhead so celestial dragons don’t suspect her)
the five elder stars:
the only celestial dragons who knew of imu sama’s true face.which makes it awkward when they saw the pictures of their boss’s true image in a bikini on the front covers of the latest lady N magazines. They totally did not have the magazines hidden under their beds, nope, not at all.
Every generation of the elder stars official task is to serve and carry out imu sama whims. Reality, they are more like tired servants whose daily task is to prevent imu sama from destroying the world out of boredom, preventing imu’s operation “judgment day”and help clean up imu related crazy incidents they got themselves into in their disguises. The elder stars are the type of underlings who pride on themselves for carrying out imu sama’s orders without their boss telling them to. Some times they take it too literally and extremely.
for example, imu sama once told them to destroy the documents on ohara island. To which the elders destroy the documents by destroying the entire place in process.
Imu reaction: >:-o
if imu sama told them to “kill someone” (they meant to rough him/her up) the elder stars would actually kill them.
imu reaction: ):-0
because of their proximity to their boss, they know that luffy and crocodile are related to imu. They have no problems with crocodile.
But luffy.
That god damn straw hat luffy is the most troublesome of them all!
the elder stars are swamped with work to cover up all crazy incidents that pirate have gotten into! Every day is a new hijinks the five elders have to find a way to cover up/ write off as insignificant/ or write up a bill to bribe the somebody something to look the other way.
forget being the five elder stars!
they might as well rebrand themselves as the nerona family’s legal team!
Donquixote homing:
like your typical celestial dragons, he only knows as much as the next celestial dragon. He did get a stamp of approval from the princess of Mary geoise for good behavior and being much nicer.
however, when homing was planning to leave Mary geoise as a normal human, the high saintess yriaf warns him not to be so trusting and naïve of people and to go live at east blue ,since it was a lot more peaceful and hospitable.
but like we all know, homing went to north blue anyway.
both imu (reluctantly)and yriaf did agree with his views.however, Imu see it as highly unrealistic and that too much optimism can kill, and they said it to homing’s face when he went to the empty throne to plead for his family abdication.
While even yriaf begrudgingly admitted that homing did not make any cautionary measures.
When the two heard of homing’s and his wife’s death and how much they have suffered, yriaf was in horror, while imu gleefully said to homing dead body, “I told you so.”
dulincea aka homing’s wife:
same as above, but she did get to know the high saintess personally and she was in imu’s list of “tolerable celestial dragons” .since she is also Yriaf’s close friend. She get to know yriaf’s views ,interests and hobbies, and some sensitive personal stuff.
dulincea knows about yriaf’s child, but not their name, and she also knows what yriaf really thinks about her mother.
after homing’s and dulincea’s death, yriaf went to collect dulincea’s body to have it buried with homing after doffy return to Mary geoise with homing’s corpse.
Donquixote mjosgard:
knows as much as any other celestial dragons but got a stamp of approval from yriaf as she notice his change after his fishman island incident. Both of them mourned queen otohime after her assassination . Then became friends after. Imu doesn’t care, but place him in tolerable celestial dragon section in their mind.they had a good laugh when he hit Saint Carlos.
mjosgard’s execution was staged and he did not die, just hidden away so he can continue his human-fishman peace activism.
The roswards:
they know as much as your typical celestial dragons, it doesn’t stop them from trying to butter up to the highest authority.
they are angry that they can’t press charges at the straw hats, but still pansies in ground of the elder stars. So they begrudgingly agree.
however, yriaf views Carlos as disgusting and sharlia as unpleasant Bi$ch. And less said about the patriarch the better.
imu doesn’t like them either, but then again , they dislike the roswards as much as they dislike any other regular celestial dragons(save for a few celestial dragons who are “tolerable”)they laughed when they saw Carlos getting hit by both luffy and mjosgard.

Crown Jewel
We're skipping the discourse around this one. Ginny is Bonney's mother, Kuma's her daddy, and there's the potential of a half-Tenryubito bloodline which would explain a fair amount of leeway we've seen. Bonney is also only 12 years old. Love how it all fits well with her intro, do hate how grim Ginny's story ended up. But she kept that spark until the end, like the wrinkle of not wanting to be seen and trying to hide the pain. Out of respect for that we're not dwelling on the horrific circumstances of Bonney's conception.
I gotta say though, I was already wondering before that if film buff Oda wasn't striking again because Kuma's story of a humble guy weaving around big events was reminding me big time of Forrest Gump. If Wano was the Kabuki revue you'd pick and choose parts you care about...is Egghead a night at the movies? Sci-fi B movie vibes obviously. Then maybe these segments away are almost like, say going to the bathroom and catching a snippet of another. Hence missing parts of it. I'm rambling...
Absolutely adore the origin of the "jewelry" part of Jewelry Bonney. Both this cute scene and how the Sapphire Scale disease hearkens back to Thriller Bark. The core stakes of losing your shadow. Same with the origin of "If you could travel, where would you go?" In hindsight...I bet Perona reminded him of Bonney. It's also pertinent to point out they were at Sabaody around the same time. There's a lot to say about her after this chapter, starting with...
Bonney, welcome to the top tier of the blorbo rankings. How can I hate a chapter that gives me a feisty five-year-old flagrantly flipping the forbidden finger? Young Bonney you are so precious. Er...younger Bonney. So we don't just have the Sapphire Scales connection either. This chapter hits that running Egghead theme of callbacks so hard. I love this bit about calling her a vampire and brandishing a cross, especially with her flatly pointing out she lives in a church, but a lot of things honestly. Talking about wanting to see a Sky Island was nice.
We're gonna peel this one off for tomorrow, but there is one thing I do wanna note. Actually being 12 with a fruit like that is a different angle, but it has that fundamental thematic harmony with a quartermaster. Just like an elegant but lowkey scary big sister with an actress vibe, a bossy little sister with the infinite possibility of distorted futures suits bringing order and wearing many hats. Kiku's deal was being shown as legitimately good but not great at others'skills. The ultimate redundancy. Bonney is the blank slate. Strap in friendos, I have a lot to say on the matter over the next few days.
This is what I was thinking last week, the part that really gets there. The ability to just pop up at island after island is hellacious for a Revolutionary. Makes it easy to pull something like Sabo's simultaneous uprisings which is smart. Paralyzes a World Government that can step in it prioritizing the wrong ones. But yeah, Kuma goes on a tear after Ginny is taken. We get a great run of back-and-forth shots though between the hero and the doting father. Love that. He goes into a pit of despair, but the last remnant of Ginny becomes a reason to live again.
My guess is ultimately we'll see something like he agreed to the cyborg program at least partially because he could take on Bonney's disease himself. That would make sense for something. Kinda dig the theory Im suffers from Sapphire Scale. I know they said Bonney had a limited time but that may be because she'd already started to turn. Im if anyone has the resources to ensure you'd never encounter natural light and it'd be incredibly thematic. I will also laugh my ass off if we end up making the World Government functionally run by the Sohma Family from Fruits Basket. Sickly lil shut-in who was handed control for stupid reasons.
Hearken well, dear reader and don't look away. For what comes next is the tragedy of Sorbet. From priest to tyrant, from man to machine. A tragic tale who's end has already been seen.
Talk about callbacks, yeah this familiar nightmare reminds me a lot of Drum and Dressrosa. It is cool how Wano fits into that, a more benign version of reinstalling the ancient dynasty. This here is the perfect setting to shift us into the parts we already know a bit about. It'll be interesting to see what happens. Somewhere this kind pastor and loving father became known as a tyrant and he was referred to as King of Sorbet. We've only got a short window to cram in a lot of big things for Kuma. That said, could see us out of this by or in 1100. So a break and a big one-two punch?

//>> Lore :: One Piece Verse: Koa's story rewritten… again
1402: Koa was born in Alfheim, where she lived in the castle until the attack by the False King's henchmen.
1424: The henchmen attacked the castle, forcing the royal family to flee. At 20 years old (around 2 in human years), Koa was rescued by Sir Rhaegor Valerys, who hid her from the attackers. While hidden away, she was discovered by two members of the Elven Order, who took her in. There, she met her self-proclaimed siblings, Remy Thras, Nehalen D. Romy and Samwell Oskar and together they formed a blood brotherhood.
1504: At the age of 102 (around 10 in human years), Koa chose to venture beyond the magical barrier of Alfheim to explore the outside world. A few months later, the World Government discovered her as the first elf since the Void Century and the Elven Purge, dispatching the CP to capture her. Koa ultimately ended up in Mary Geoise, where she was enslaved by the Figarland Family. Months later Koa accompanied Shamrock on a mission to locate Alfheim, where he was tasked with finding and eliminating the surviving elves with the Buster Call, while Koa was supposed to lead him to Alfheim. However, once they entered the Grand Line, Koa managed to change into her pixie form and escaped the ship. She was rescued by the Revolutionary Army, who brought her to Baltigo for safety from the World Government and the Tenryubito. There, she discovered and ate the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Mako.
1516: After eating the Devil Fruit, Koa felt a strong urge to leave Baltigo, believing it was her own curiosity rather than the fruit's influence. However, the Revolutionary Army deemed it too dangerous and wouldn’t let her go. In defiance, Koa secretly stole a boat. While sailing, she encountered the Red Hair Pirates, who accidentally damaged her boat. They rescued her from drowning, but Koa mistakenly thought Shanks was Shamrock. Realizing he wasn’t her former owner, Koa was allowed to sail with the Red Hair Pirates, who planned to take her to Silvers Rayleigh in the Sabaody Archipelago. On their way, they ecountered the Whitebeard Pirates, who she then joined instead.
1522: While sailing with the Whitebeard Pirates, Koa quickly saw them as family. Years later Blackbeard killed Thatch over a Devil Fruit, before leaving the crew and Ace followed him. Despite Whitebeard's orders to stay, Koa stole a boat to follow Ace, wanting to help him. Caught in a storm, she washed ashore at Fisher's Cove, where she was taken in by Faustulus Galilei and his grandson Gerard. As she recovered, pirates raided the island and Koa escaped with Gerard's help. Now realizing she couldn't sail alone, Koa aimed to return to the Moby Dick but ended up stranded on Sylvan Island, where the villagers rejected her. Desperate, Koa began stealing until she fell ill. It had been the Heart Pirates who healed her, after the villagers refused her help, believing she was contagious. Once recovered, Koa returned to the village market to steal food, where she met the Straw Hats, who invited her aboard their ship. Grateful, she guided them to the legendary treasure hidden in the forest where she lived. After being beaten up by the villagers for stealing, Koa was taken in by the Straw Hats again, who let her sail with them until she could reunite with her crew.

Who of the Droplets
Someone is sabotaging Vegapunk’s attempt to escape the World Government. And he went missing.
In the recent chapter Pythagoras was seemingly attacked by the saboteur.
Someone has been framing Vegapunk for a while. For the past 2 months Cipher Pol ships that visit Egghead go missing drawing suspicion to Vegapunk.
Rob Lucci speculates that getting rid of Vegapunk is connected to the destruction of Lulusia.
Vegapunk says it’s because he researched the Void Century just like Ohara. God Valley like Lulusia was also erased from history. God Valley was attacked by Rocks who was wiped from history as well for breaking too many of the world’s taboo. I think it’s a fair assumption that Lulusia had information about the Void Century.
Punk Records is Vegapunk’s brain which he hopes one day everyone will be able to connect to. As of now only Vegapunk and his satellites can link to it.
Shaka revealed that all of Ohara’s research was in his brain.
I think his brain has hacked by someone with the ability to hear the Voice of All Things. Momonosuke has the ability to hear Luffy’s thoughts which suggest that it works on humans as well.
I think the saboteur is Who’s-Who. I think his eye tattoo symbolizes he can hear the Voice of All Things. The three-eye tribe can naturally use this ability. I think his eye tattoo is the third eye.
The Marys have the ability to see through the eyes of cyborg animals. They wear masks with an eye symbol similar to Who’s-Who tattoo. Which I think signifies a connection.
Momonosuke demonstrated the same ability to see through Zunesha’s eyes. Which makes be believe Who’s-Who modeled the Marys powers after his own.
Lulusia has made several appearances in the story, it was even a setting in Ace’s cover story. It was indicated by Oda that Lulusia king recently came into power and brought suffering to his people.
Importantly it is close to a nearby marine base, G-2, which I believe is significant. There is something off about the marines there. They fail all the time to protect the citizens and even the royal family.
The marine escort failed to prevent Princess Comane’s abduction. And the ships stationed on Lulusia failed to protect from a pirate attack. Lulusia was somehow able to successfully revolt in spite of being in close proximity to a marine, base the king returning with his strongest soldiers and presumably marine escort, it seems intentional. In Ace’s cover story an intel ship is set on fire, I think it was the Who’s-Who Pirates. I believe Who’s-Who took over G-2 and used it to plant false evidence that Lulusia was researching the Void Century, from information he stole from Punk Records.
Who’s-Who claim of seeing Jibei as a shichibukai brought me to the Fisher Tiger flashback in an effort to spot him.
But that reveal the Sun Pirates connection to the G-2 marines and an odd incident. The Sun Pirates fought Rear Admiral Kadar from G-2. Fisher Tiger said he would let them go.
Later it was revealed that the ship had been sunk, what changed.
An extended scene in the anime shows him ordering his men to take the ships goods and retreat.
Arlong who went back for revenge was defeated by Kizaru and sent to G-2 for interrogation. It was shown that the conservation was being recorded which implies outside people were watching.
I believe that Cipher Pol was working with the marines to capture Fisher Tiger. He did attack Mary Geoise and free the slaves all direct attacks on the tenryubito. After losing to the Sun Pirates i think they were killed by Who’s-Who for their weakness.
I believe Who’s-Who is the the pirate Shanks was warning the Gorosei about. It reminded me of his warning to Whitebeard about Blackbeard who was a former subordinate so is Who’s-Who to them. There is a possibility that him Shanks encountered him again 2 years ago when Red Hair Pirates and Beasts Pirates clashed. Why is he warning the Gorosei now?
The second to last time we saw Shanks he was at wedding on a certain ruined island. I’m guessing the island was wrecked by Who’s-Who. I think like Rocks he has the ambition to become King of the World.

Belong (Tales From The Heart)
Fandom: One Piece Rating: Gen Warnings: None Characters: Jean Bart, Shachi
Everyone was on the rota for the night watch. Jean Bart had no issues with that when he'd been told – had no issues with anything as long as he was away from the Tenryubito and a free man again – and with a wry smile Trafalgar had informed him that he'd be sharing for the first one, to make sure he knew all the ropes. Shachi would be his supervisor, he was told, and Jean Bart hadn't had time to try and remember which one was Shachi before the ginger was almost in his face, grinning widely.
"When's our shift?" Jean Bart asked, looking down at the small man – he was big, but even compared to most of the crew, Shachi was one of the smallest – and was unsurprised to be told that it was that night.
"You're fit enough, physically," Trafalgar said, and Jean Bart wasn't certain about the captain-doctor thing, but it wasn't his place to comment. "But if you don't think you're ready, we can put you shadowing someone else later."
"I'm ready," Jean Bart said, because he didn't want to sit around doing nothing. That was the recipe for wallowing in self-pity, and he'd had enough of that in his life. He hadn't finally got away from a life as a slave to be constantly reliving it in his head.
Shachi was an interesting companion, he quickly learnt. On Sabaody, he'd seemed easily panicked on the surface, before regaining his composure enough to fight, but once back with the crew he'd been at ease again. He was the type Jean Bart had always liked in his own crew, one of the central figures that acted as the glue keeping the crew together.
As their night shift started, that fell away. Whether it was an exhausting act that Shachi put on constantly, or if it was simply tiredness that caused the change, Jean Bart didn't have enough experience to tell, but as the lights faded to a faint glow and everyone else went to bed, Shachi didn't seem the same.
"Is something wrong?" he asked, cramped up in a too-small chair and watching the ginger curl up in his own chair, arms wrapped around his legs and his chin pressed to his knees in a despondent façade.
Shachi didn't reply, reaching out to fiddle with some instrument or other on the Polar Tang's control panel before retreating back into his ball. Jean Bart didn't press. He was new; he'd joined them because the alternative was being a slave, not because he'd particularly been interested in the Heart Pirates. In truth, one of the other two captains would have appealed to him more. It was easy to see why he wasn't trusted.
To say he was surprised, ten minutes later with a lap suddenly full of ginger, would be an understatement. He hadn't noticed him move, not until he was clambering onto his legs in a manner more suited to a child than a member of a well-known pirate crew.
"Shachi?" he asked, his large hands hovering uncertainly near the much smaller man before resting on his arm, wrapping around him lightly.
"I don't like night watches," the ginger grumbled. "They're too lonely."
Jean Bart had nothing to say to that, feeling too new to be able to offer comfort, and far too unaccustomed to helping people even if he knew how. The fact that Shachi even felt he could curl up on his lap baffled him.
"Saboady sucked," Shachi continued after several minute of silence. Jean Bart had almost wondered if he'd fallen asleep. "Dark King Rayleigh showing us how damn weak we are, showing me how weak I am, then that nonsense with Eustass and Mugiwara, and then Kuma clones."
Jean Bart only knew what had happened with the Kuma clones, and if Shachi was referring to the three captains' fight maybe he had some idea about that too, but it was clear that whatever he'd gone through while on Sabaody had upset him and shaken his confidence. That wasn't overly surprising, in itself.
What was surprising was that he was confiding in him, and not his captain or another older nakama. It left a warm feeling in his gut, one he hadn't felt since he'd lost his crew and ended up in slavery.
The feeling of belonging.

How would ace sabo and law react to their s/o being tenryuubito's slave in past?
Hmmm that's interesting, I hope you will like it :D
Portgas D. Ace
~ One day Ace came into the room of his s/o and accidentally saw the mark of the tenryubito's slaves on their back.
~ His s/o panicked and thought he would hate her for this, but as they saw his confused look, they soon realized that Ace didn't know what this mark meant.
~ So they took a deep breath and sat down with him to tell him everything. The more they talked, the more shocked and angry Ace's expression got.
~ In the end he pulled them into his arms, kissed their head again and again and tried to give her the support they needed.
~ „I will protect you.. No one will ever lay a hand on you.. I'm not gonna let this happen! You are now at home, you are a part of my family. We will live together.“
Sabo
~ Sabo and his s/o are both members of the revolutionary army. One day they were talking about why they are there and so Sabo hears the sad past of his s/o.
~ At first Sabo was filled with hot anger and his hatred for the tenryubito only increased.
~ But then he saw the face of his s/o and his anger immediately turned into concern for their well-being.
~ He pulled them into his arms to give them support and show them that he was there for them.
~ „It's okay.. You are free, now. You are here with me.. I will never let anything like this happen to you again! They will regret it!“
Trafalgar Law
~ One night Law's s/o came into his bed all weepy and exhausted. She had nightmares of her time as a tenryubito slave and after they had calm down they told Law about it.
~ While he listened to them, he felt with them all the time and didn't condemn his s/o once for their cruel past. Why should he?
~ He can even empathize with them very well because by the way he was treated in Frevelance by the world gouvernment Law knows how it feels to be considered less worthy as other people.
~ He tries to help them process what happened and get over their trauma, whether it takes several weeks, months or years. Law will always support them.
~ Because both of them have experienced cruel things in their pasts, they sometimes lie awake all night and just talk.
~ Furthermore, this whole thing only fuels his hatred of the world government

Relationship headcanons for Hancock?
SPOILS YOU. SO MUCH. See a pretty piece of jewelry while out in the market? The entire store's collection is yours. Mention your favorite food? She has it available whenever you need it by the Amazons in charge of cooking (and if it's anything less than perfect, they WILL hear about it from her).
She's attentive to everything you say, no matter how small or innocuous. If you mention that your favorite color is dark blue, she'll wear it more often and ask if you like it with a coy smile. It's her way of showing how well she knows you, and she takes pride in being the only person who knows so much about you.
This isn't one-sided, however. She opens up to you more than anyone else, except for maybe her sisters. Being a Warlord and an Empress can be emotionally exhausting; any slight expression observed by the Celestial Dragons or World Government can have dire consequences for her people, so it's good for her to have someone she can vent to about how much she truly hates the Tenryubito.
Very possessive. Not quite like, yandere-level, but it's definitely the worst problem she has in a relationship. If she thinks that someone's gazing at you a little to long, or gets too affectionate with you during a conversation, she'll not-so-subtly let them know that you're taken (and that they will NEVER share the wonderful, beautiful love that you two have)--she'll interrupt the conversation and gush about how beautiful you look today, staring daggers at her perceived rival the entire time. She'll coldly ask who the other person is and make them feel so small and insignificant. If they do anything to piss her off, she'll likely petrify them with her DF power.
On that note, if anyone is stupid enough to harass/catcall you while she's around...hoo, boy. If she had her way, she would petrify them on the spot and smash them to pieces under her feet. But if you're the kind of person who wants to avoid confrontation, she won't go that far--she'll just petrify them with a stare and then continue walking down the street with you, smiling and holding your hand in hers.
If you're uncomfortable with how passionate she can be, she'll eventually listen to you if you confront her about it. At first she just insists that you deserve the world and doesn't understand why her behavior bothers you. Then she's heartbroken and worried that she's pushed you away, and she'll ask for specific boundaries so she doesn't go too far again ("So...is petrifying someone okay, as long as I don't kill them? I mean, either way they deserve it, but if you want me to show mercy then I absolutely will.")
She swoons when you look at her kindly, so any PDA will overwhelm her with love. Like if you rest your head on her shoulder, she might actually pass out from pleasure. Context doesn't matter, either: if you're accompanying her to a Warlord's meeting and just hold her hand under the table, she'll sigh in content and blush like crazy in front of everyone.

The Cupid This art have a quest theme for competition – angels, demons and squids. The World Noble is as a special strange kind of people which live without rules for common people. In the world laws they aren’t good or bad but other and beyond. Their acts and they are extremely free inhuman and powerful but others will unite against them in the end. They have the black demons wing and the halo. You can see Rocinante as the Cupid here, it’s so close with Corazon and heart. One day I found beautiful poem about the Cupid and the game (and I forgot the name of the author and cant’ find it again). I think it’s good for them. And it was the beginning for the picture. In the poem the cupid played with the angel in the garden, laughing and gamboling, and the cupid firmly tied the angel with threads when he was bored to play among flowers. The Angel looks like Pierrot in the end, he is quiet and submissive and he is suffering. At first it was an original art but after I saw Donquixotes brothers there. Doflamingo is thinking about something risky, capricious curiosity illuminates his face. Rocinante is calm and peacefull and he is thinking about something like his brother's actions, and he is indifferent in that pose which brings discomfort. It was an AU season and I did many alternative arts in different times and spaces. It’s good) Rocinante has the round spacesuit. The sphere is symbolic. It doesn’t fit on Rocinante’s head. The manhole is too small to contain his head, but it is right to be a crown or a halo above the head. They have special the world noble’s clothes. That’s why clothes have wide sleeves and and belt, capturing the figure, and in the right corner if you want you can consider the burgundy glove from tenryubito’s suit which protects hands in contact)). Doflamingo has got sunglasses (I often draws it and I like different kinds of sunglasses, it reflects something specialin each picture). Also you can see the faint glimpses of the golden leaves on his head, which are a symbol of triumph. It’s my beloved antiquity again, it has similarity with Alexandria wreaths which I like to see in the Hermitage. And Doflamingo certainly appreciates the coronation attributes. The crowns of trees glimpse behind them. And this is my love to Italy and, in general, to the South, where in the bluish haze you can see tall as candles pyramidal trees. I spent a lot of time for this art and it had changed many times in details until it was finished. I like how interesting Heavenly Dragon’s costumes look in the end. I love bright light shades, sun and greenery, white clothes, blonde hair and light skin. Everything looks like good time and place, and you can think about lost paradise. It’s rainbow around. There is calm and humility in Rocinate’s face. Maybe he has immune to his brother's manipulation. Doflamingo feels happy staying face to face to his brother and forgetting about boundaries. It’s his own privilege. And he likes this unique position.

😈💜🔞 Sashi's Dark Corner ~ Mini NSFW Event 🔞💜😈
So… this might look like a surprise, and indeed it is -kinda-. Since some of you were amazing and voted for YES to this little event… YES, EVENT… WITH REQUESTS! here I am with it!!
✨ A HUGE thanks to @kwnblack who was in charge of the graphic design & of course the drawing of your horny server (and frankly the main idea of the event). Please visit her blog to see her amazing art! ✨
So, how does the event work?
Request the darkest nsfw you want me to write. You can ask for whatever prompt, but it needs to be dark and intense, something you only imagine but you are afraid to ask for (come on, let’s use anon asks for something interesting here instead of spreading hate).
The only rules are:
NO minors, and NO NON CON.
If your request includes kinks: I highly suggest you ask for them, since I am open to ANY except non con or minors.
I want you to explore the deepest dark thoughts you might have inside your head, bye bye taboos 😈💁🏻♀️
I will accept 7 requests at a time so I have more control over the time and I don’t keep you waiting for a long time. Once the 7 of them are done, I will open them again.
NO MORE Slots available: 0! -- will open them as soon as I finish the first requests! 💖 THANK U!
Sadly, since the idea is to include some darkness and perversion, I’ll have to analyze each request and decide whether to write or not, since you know we have to be careful with tumblr police (I'm so sorry for this).
Characters I won’t write for:
Any minor.
Personally I hate: Akainu and Teach. Bastards as Spandam and Kanjuro. (I hate almost every tenryubito and fucking Trebol, but I know nobody will ask for them hahaha)
That’s it. Now you can request your horniness provider, Sashi 😈 ~

The thing is, there are a few big things that happened in between.
Sabaody wasn’t big just because the strawhats were separated (though it was important) or because it prepared for Impel Down and Marine Ford.
Luffy’s always been aware of the horror that were world nobles and tenryubitos. We know this from his flashbacks and welcoming Robin into his crew, but with Sabaody and the Amazons island we, as well as Luffy, were introduced to some of the worse they can do. Slavery goes against Luffy’s very core (he wants to be the free-est man in the world after all). And Sabaody followed by his meeting with Hancock shook him. Then his brother died, not because of what he had done but because of who he was. And Luffy has always known there were people like this (again, Grey Terminal), but he never thought his brother would actually die because of it (that’s the difference between knowing and living). If you add how he had to deal with the loss of his crew when we know how much he fears loneliness, we can understand how traumatic it was for him.
Until that point Observation Haki was just a basic tool for Luffy, it’s Fujitora and Katakuri that made him rethink his vision of it, because to him it was a completely different way of apprehending this ability.
As you said the old man from the buggy arc was much weaker. it barely took any strength from Luffy to knock him out and he was still mostly fine afterwards. Here, as far as Luffy knows, Fujitora is at the very least as strong as Luffy which means the power he’s gonna use is gonna be huge. So comparing the situations is useless.because he didn’t go into those situations with the same vision of his adversary.
Last addition, Luffy likes to fight, likes to have fun when fighting. Strong people are interesting to Luffy. It’s part of the reason he faced Fujitora, whom he appreciates.
Now take all of this into account. Sabaody and Amazon island helped him empathize a bit more with people. it’s not a huge change but you can see some bits here and there. But it’s not so much a question of Fujitora being blind making him weak that causes a problem with Luffy’s conscience. It’s that since Luffy doesn’t know how much Haki compensates Fujitora’s eyes, it’s not gonna be as fun and interesting for him and he doesn’t like this. I mean he still doesn’t mind beating him up in itself.
Fujitora’s monologue is about him only. It shows how he views people not how we’re supposed to view Luffy. It’s about Fujitora as a character. It’s about how he’s ready to see kindness even in the heart of pirates. How despite the fact that he had reasons for destroying his eyes, in the end it didn’t overtake his own empathy. It’s not about Luffy, it’s about Fujitora.
Luffy’s still msotly selfish. He isn’t kind, never has been and still isn’t but he’s nice. kindness is… it’s not a value so much as a state of mind. Luffy just likes being nice to people he likes if it doesn’t go against what he wants but he has started to make efforts to be a tiny bit less selfish. He was traumatized by the loss of his crew so if he has to try and be a tiny bit less selfish to appease them, he will, it shows in how he tried to lie to Tama when she gave him food.
I may not buy that One Piece is an initiatic journey, but people change, all the time. If a character went through everything Luffy went through and didn’t change even a tiny bit, now that would be weird. Luffy’s still selfish. he just pays attention to a few more things that he used to.
What do you think about Luffy's fight with Fujitora? It really bothered me because Luffy have never cared if you were a fishman/mermaid, a woman etc. but when there's a blind person he suddenly starts to discriminate? I've always seen it as him not caring who or what you are so his ableism(discrimination against the disabled) is really bothering me. Even Sabo said he doesn't discriminate when he fought Fujitora.. I'm may be overreacting but I'm disabled myself so I'm taking this really personal.
This was a tough one because the nuances of what Luffy was saying mattered a lot here, and Mangapanda’s translation’s often sound like the product of shitpostgenerator, and Mangastream is much better but still is prone to over-coloqualizing things and messing up on important details (like they for this part). Powermanga is the only scan group I fully trust, and this was their translation
“I can’t just beat you up without saying anything when you can’t see what’s right in front of your face! It’s not like I hate you, old man!” Yeah… Luffy doing and saying this doesn’t seem right to me either. Not just because it might feel weird to many that Luffy is being overly-conscious and of the fact that someone he’s fighting is blind and possibly patronizing, but because it just plain does not make sense. Fujitora has Observation Haki! Luffy has already been trained in this by Rayleigh, and he knows just how powerful and effective it can be. I’m sure that Luffy himself can fight well with his eyes closed thanks to it. So why the heck does Luffy think he needs to announce his attacks to Fujitora when Fujitora already knows what Luffy is going to do before Luffy even says it? Why is Luffy just forgetting about the existence of Observation Haki here?
And Luffy’s own explanation doesn’t really make that much sense either… he wants to beat Fujitora up… but he wants to give Fujitora a heads up about all his attacks because Fuji’s blind and Luffy doesn’t hate him? This is the same man who once, without a single word of warning, smashed an old man’s face (an actually WEAK old man) into a wall in order to knock him out so he wouldn’t get in the way or get more hurt

Luffy smashed an old man’s face into a wall, and that was an old man he LIKED. Yet now Oda is making Luffy be all “I need to beat you up but I wanna be nice about it” to a person who is most likely still stronger than him? This just does not feel like it makes sense. If Luffy fights Shanks in the future, or if he fights Kid, is he going to tie one hand behind is back because each of them only has one arm? Again, why have Luffy come out swinging–insisting on attacking Fujitora even though others were begging him to run–yet then have him fight with restraint? It goes without saying that Oda is trying to characterize Luffy as being a certain way here, but it does not feel like it works. It’s contradictory to Luffy’s past actions, and it completely ignores the obvious existence of Observation Haki.
If I had to guess, I would say that Oda had Luffy do this as the lead in to Fujitora’s big reflection on Luffy being a kind person and wishing he could see his face. Oda had Luffy try to fight Fujitora while making it clear that he was doing it without ill-will in order to further impress upon Fujitora that Luffy’s a really nice guy when all the Dressrosa citizens came rushing in in order to protect Luffy from Fujitora and help him escape. However, in my opinion, this didn’t really work either. I don’t think that Oda actually made a very convincing case that Fujitora should look at Luffy like he’s the world’s kindest human or something just because the people of Dressrosa are so grateful to him for taking down Doflamingo. People can do good things for selfish reasons. That’s how this arc initially started–as far as Luffy knew, there were on Dressrosa to wreck Doflamingo’s factory just to weaken Kaido’s forces. And pirates are constantly fighting each other for the sake of power, profit, and glory. Kaido once defeated Moriah, but that doesn’t make Kaido kindhearted person. Blackbeard wasn’t a good person for attacking Drum and driving Wapol away. It makes sense that the people of Dressrosa would love Luffy for being the one who defeated Doflamingo, but it feels forced that Fujitora bought into their fondness for him so readily and decided that Luffy must be the kindest person he’s never laid eyes on.
One Piece used to make it clear that Luffy is not always a kind person. One Piece used to press the subject of Luffy’s moral ambiguity much more readily. Remember when Luffy said he was willing to let Coby die if he hadn’t finally stood up for himself? Remember when Luffy said he wouldn’t have protected Usopp’s village if Usopp hadn’t fought himself? Remember when Luffy beat the shit out of Usopp for standing in his way as Captain? Remember when Luffy made it clear that he didn’t care how many people were hurt or killed by his actions in Impel Down because all he cared about was saving Ace? Luffy is definitely not always a purely good person. But for three arcs in a row now, Luffy has taken on the role of beloved universal savior. One Piece has been, and has the potential to be again, a remarkably complex and morally ambiguous story. But lately it feels like Oda has been downplaying that and simplifying things so that Luffy can do no wrong and everybody loves him.
That’s what I don’t like about Oda giving Fujitora a big internal monologue about how kind Luffy must be. He included it because we as the readers are supposed to take it to heart and share in the warmth of Fujitora’s feelings about Luffy. Yet, if we actually look closely at the things Luffy has said and done on numerous occasions, we know that Fujitora’s thoughts and feelings aren’t accurate, so how are we supposed to be warmed by something we know isn’t really true? Luffy IS a good person, but that’s not all he is. He rarely cares about the well being of people he doesn’t know. He’s willing to let people he doesn’t respect get hurt. He sometimes has to even hurt people he cares about for the sake of his goals. But lately it feels like Oda’s downplaying this longstanding aspect of Luffy’s character in favor of him being loved by everyone and saving everyone and doing no wrong. In the past I’ve argued very passionately against the idea that Luffy is a generic shonen protagonist, but based on the last 3 arcs alone (5 entire years of story), he kinda has been.
So all this–Luffy feeling like he needed to announce his attacks to Fujitora and Fujitora walking away thinking so incredibly highly of Luffy’s kindness–felt off to me. It blatantly ignored Observation Haki and Fujitora’s strength, contradicts some of Luffy’s past actions, and tried to send a message that we know really isn’t that accurate. I was pretty interested in Luffy’s brash decision to pick a fight with Fujitora in the previous chapter, but then Oda took it in a direction that feels forced to me.
(To include some links… people can read Powermanga’s translation of the chapter HERE. Here’s a post I’ve made before exploring Luffy’s moral shortcomings, and here’s a post addressing whether or not Luffy has a “hero complex” like Doflamingo said he does this arc.)

>> Koa's (kinda) first One Piece story
or more like the last story she had before I made her fandomless...
Koa grew up in the firefly village (yes, I have a weakness for fireflies. Leave me alone...), which was on the Inagua Island, in the North Blue. There she lived with her grandmother and had eaten the Inari fruit, a mythical Zoan devil fruit, which was a mix of the two Japanese creatures Kitsune and Inari. Because of her devil fruit, she always had fox ears and a fox tail, which is why she was kidnapped as a child by a Tenryubito and became a slave (and the original reason for her epithet Kogitsune/Fox Kit)
Later, she escaped with other slaves and after a storm and shipwreck, she ended up in the care of an old fisherman and his grandson, where she lived until the island was attacked by pirates. Koa managed to escape from the island with the help of the fisherman and his grandson and was left alone again until she was picked up by a pirate crew and taken to the next island, where she was left with money and provisions because they planned to sail to the new world and didn't wanted to bring a kid with them.
After Koa finally found a ship with which she could sail back home, it turned out that they were slave traders who wanted to sell her. However, the ship was attacked by the Whitebeard Pirates. Koa had hidden in a chest that the pirates took on board where she was eventually discovered and brought back to the Fisherman's Island by them. The old fisherman and his grandson were nowhere to be found and Koa learned that they had been kidnapped by the pirates. So Koa set out to find and free them.
She met the revolutionary army, which Koa eventually joined after the kidnapped people were freed. She stayed with the revolutionary army until her curiosity led her to sneak onto a ship to explore the world. However, during her exploration she was stranded on an island again, where she was treated like an outcast and therefore lived in the forest until she came across the Straw Hats and joined them
Funfact: This character actually went through a lot of changes over the years. In her very first version she was actually the sister of Luffy and had no past with slavery etc. Here she became a straw hat in on version, in another version a whitebeard pirate and in a third version a heart pirate (which was mostly because of a friend who's oc was part of the heart crew) Then I got even more creative (not) and made her Shanks daughter instead (don't judge me. I was young and it was, again, because of this one friend I had who's Oc was also the daughter of Mihawk and we thought it would be funny to make my Oc Shanks' daughter... so yeah. But I would be lying if I said I didn't found the idea of her being Shanks kid cool too... cause I did otherwise I wouldn't had changed it and I struggled very long to change this again) Anyway, here she didn't grew up on Shanks ship but an island that was under his protection ofc. I didn't had a name for the island but the village was already called Firefly village. This was where I made her a slave the first time. I don't really remember anymore how her story went after she was freed as a slave but she somehow was a Revolutionary, a Heart Pirate and also a straw hat and there was also something with the Galley-La Company… Of course not all at once but I don't remember how exactly her story went. I never really had written down an offcial story for her except her past. All I remember is that she joined the straw hats/heart pirates after the events of Enies Lobby. So my guess is that she probably was saved from slavery by the revos and joined them then somehow she ended up in water 7 till she joined the pirate crew... Funfunfact: Koa's name in this One Piece storyline was Rea D. Klio but before Rea D. Klio, when she was still Luffy's sister/Shanks' daughter, her names was Monkey D. (I forgot her first name) then Monkey D. Avy (which now, funnily enough, many years later after I changed her name became my pen name here on tumblr. This was more of a coincidence than planed. Actually, this was the reason why I didn't want to use the name at first, because one of my OCs once had the name even if I had changed it long before I even started to write rps on tumblr.) then her name was Avy LeRoux cause Shanks didn't had a last name so I just chose this instead which actually is just Redhair in french. Then I changed this to Tenjura D. Avy, which then became Grein D. Avy before I changed it to Grein D. Pilou/Klio and then into Rea D. Klio before she finally became Koa and I droped any relationships to canon characters like I had with Luffy and Shanks. BUT this is why I decided to give her the name Fairchil D. as name instead of Fairchild so not to lose the D. I had in her name the whole time Funfunfunfact: This One Piece oc was actually one of my very first Ocs and also one of the very fist characters I used to write rps with. This kinda makes Koa one of my oldest and at the same time one of my newst Ocs I ever made AND the one character and oc I worked on the longest, the most and the one I used the longest to write with... <<
