,, I want to explore Mike & Vanessa in the view of them being like Sonic & Shadow. My AU wise(yes it's now my AU since I'm adding so much & changing some things around), it would work perfectly well to view them as those two.

Early 2000s. Two autistic adults who haven't gotten tested AT ALL(Mike can't afford it and thinks all tests online are a scam while Vanessa just. Can't do it cuz she self doubts a lot), two traumatized adults who will be seen as weak if ever sharing their feelings and what happened to them (especially Mike: again, 2000s. Still strong about the whole "boys don't cry" thing. Vanessa too).

But they work thru it. Slowly and surely, they unwind and become comfortable with each other.

Mike is still a bit cautious around Vanessa.

And Vanessa doesn't really think that this will last forever(so she makes the most of it by not rlly spending time with Mike & such).

But the more they hang out, the more they just.

Vanessa to me, is more vocal about her being attentive(stares and also makes mental notes & literal notes too) while Mike is more silent about how he is also attentive (he stares and just make mental notes. He only knows some people by how they act or one special thing that stood out to him.. even if it could be offensive). So when at first they still kept in contact even after they all thought it was over, Vanessa asked Mike why (after her morning jog was done👍 <- cuz I can).

Mike rlly couldn't come up with an answer, so he just didn't say anything.

I've come to the realization that I've known about mdzs for about 4 months and so far I've been juggling in my head 3 different songxuexiao fic ideas (ones actually not ship fic only about post canon song lan and inner turmoil which we love) and SOMEHOW all of them involve little kids to a certain degree, either raising them or having a group of little ducklings following u everywhere u go.
