Ship: Destiel

Synopsis: Castiel Novak was a freshman in college, moving to a new place with a full ride in an attempt to leave all his struggles behind. The day he moved in to his dorm room in NYC, he heard about a coffee shop near by. From then on, he would go there every day after classes and before work to get a cup, and to work on some art. One day, a new comer walks into Bobbys Cafe, and changes Castiels life. Together Castiel and Dean tear up the city, and leave behind one hell of a story behind.

Chapter 1 A Bag And A New Beginning

Today was moving day. Castiel had spent the previous three hours in a frenzy of packing. He was carrying the last two boxes down the stairs when he heard his older brother speak.

"Ah, little Cassie is leaving the nest," Gabriel said as he stood at the bottom of the stairs, his golden eyes looking up at him. Castiel smiled and walked to put the boxs down at the door. He turned to his brother and frowned playfully.

"You know I hate it when you call me that," he said with a smile. Gabriel chuckles and walked up to his brother, bringing him into a hug.

"Im gonna miss you Cas," he said. Castiel hugged him back and spoke, "Yeah, me too. I cant believe Im going to New York with a free ride." Gabriel pulled away, still holding on to Castiels shoulders, "Its because you worked your ass off kid. You deserved it," he said. Castiel nodded and pulled away. "Thanks Gabe," he said. Out of everything that had happened to Castiel, Gabriel had always been there for him. Castiel sighed and went to pick up the last two boxs and walked out of the open front door.

"Dont work to hard, and call me when you can!" Gabriel shouted after him. "Will do!" He yelled back. He packed the boxes into the back seat of his small blue Ford.

He looked back at the doorway. Memories of everything that had happened to him since his family moved in, crossed his mind. All the good things laid buried under all of the terror. He sighed and climbed into the drivers side. He looked at the house once more to see his brother looking back at him. Gabriel smiled and waved. Castiel waved back and started the car. He put it in reverse and backed out of the driveway. He turned and was about to pull away when he saw his brother jogging towards him. Cas rolled down his window,

"Whats up?" He asked. Gabriel held out a warn black laptop bag, "You might need this," he said. Castiel laughed and took the bag and tossed it into the passanger side. Cas looked back at Gabriel, "Thanks again," he said.

"Just... You know you can call me if you need anything right?" Gabe said steadliy. Castiel nodded, and turned to look out of the windsheild.

"Alright, stay safe," he said with a sigh and tapped twice on the roof of the car before turning to walk back to the house. Castiel looked back at him for a second before pulling away. He was determind to have a better life, but he knew he could never let go of the past. No matter how much he wanted to.
