This is Darius’ palisman.
Darius disguised his palisman as his hair in order to hide it from Belos (just like Bump wears Frewin on his head).

Thinking about how the final trial in Them’s the Breaks Kids is a parallel to Raine and Eda’s relationship in the future except their roles are reversed. In the game, Raine was the isolated wild witch while Eda was in the coven system while in actuality, Eda ended up becoming a wild witch and Raine became head of the bard coven. And how just like Eda went against her team in the game, Raine goes against the system in order to protect Eda and ensure that everyone was being treated justly. And how both times, they ultimately fail because of Terra Snapdragon

ok so king’s tide was insane and im coping by ignoring all that and asking the real important questions:
what’s up with darius’ eyes?
bc in the flashback for ‘them’s the breaks kids’ they’re green
but in the flashback shot for ‘king’s tide’ theyre purple
but now in the present theyre green again
bonus: theyre also green when he goes glowy
obvs this could just be an animation error but i feel like toh is really deliberate most of the time i mean like his little bottom eyelash is still in the pic so idk feel like its gotta mean smth
i mean other than that they’re beautiful and i love him

Eda: "On Scabuary 40th, the day Belos declared the Isles an Empire(...)"
I just love how this one line is loaded with World Building!
First, it confirms that Boscha's Calendar wasn't just a mistake. Months on the Boiling Isles are actually longer, closer to six weeks than four, and they also have different names.
Scabuary is clearly a mix of Scabs and either February or January, so it's probably the first or second month of the year.
(And, if the length of year of the demon realm roughly lines up with earth, there should be nine months instead of twelve.*)
Secondly, "Belos declared the Isles and Empire" tells us that the Boiling Isles probably weren't unified before Belos - or at least not nearly as much as they are now!
Personally, I headcanon the Isles before Belos to be divided into a handful of kingdoms and city states, each with their own culture and laws.
And I think there are still remnants of those time in the current B.I. culture and architecture, like castles and old city walls, or stories about Kings and Queens, Princes and Princesses.

Alador, Odalia, Darius (and Adrien)—the complete crack storyline (completely canon)
With the newest ep my brain has been full of potential Alador and Darius storylines so uhhh here you go, I apologize for nothing if this makes absolutely no sense I’m very tired and still on a high from today’s episode
Alador and Darius meet in first year of Hexside, the two quickly get along and form a close frienship. they discover that they both share a love of abominations, however they begin bickering over the best way to utilize the magic. odalia comes in a few years later, and gradually drive the two apart—alador spends more time with odalia, yada yada, darius had a crush on alador blah blah blah, yada yada we know how the story turns out.
Anywho leaving hexside, Darius on one night is super lonely and bitter about alador and something else ig (idk if he’s in the Emperor’s coven yet do you really think I put that much thought into this), he and adrien had a one night stand I will take no criticism during this time
If it helps he regrets it a lot
Fast forward until present time, darius seeing alador in the rebellion without odalia resparks old feelings, Alador, while still thinking he’s an annoying prick, begins missing their old friendship and BOOM they’re in love just like magic

Owl House really said “we’re going to give you TTBK as a palette cleanser” and then it’s trauma for the rest of the series.

I will never get over how the first thing Raine said to Eda as a kid was call her a riot.

Rewatching “Follies at the Coven Day Parade” and watching Raine whistle into their tea is both a blessing and a curse, because it means they’ve been aware the whole time.
