On the Archdemons and the rest of the Evanuris, the devs said this in the recent Reddit AMA:

Q: “Can we get confirmation on what happened to the other Evanuris? Will we get any more lore? Shame we didn’t hear a whole lot about them besides essentially being behind the previous Blights.” John Epler: “We haven’t been SUPER specific about this, but at best the other Evanuris are a shadow of their former selves, and at worst they’re dead. The death of their Archdemons, particularly when they were still trapped in the Fade, caused enough magical feedback that it broke their minds and bodies. A couple may have survived as shells, but they aren’t in the same state as Ghilan'nain and Elgar'nan.” --- John: “[...] The story of the Evanuris is done - the gods are dead (or imprisoned)”

and this in an interview with IGN:

"Can you tell us about the fate of the other elven gods like Sylaise and June? Are these gods now mortal in the Fade after the defeat of their Archdemons, or were they weakened enough to die in their prison? Epler: Yeah, I mean, so we haven’t been super explicit about what happens when the gods die. In my mind, they’re either dead or they’re the closest thing to it. When a Warden kills an Archdemon, in Origins and DA2 and DAI, before the Gods are out in the world, there is part of that elven god’s spirit that is bound to that dragon. It finds the nearest source of Blight. Now, if it’s a darkspawn, a darkspawn has a direct connection to the Blight. There’s enough energy there for it to rebuild a body, rebuild itself as an Archdemon. When it goes into a Warden, that connection is very different and what ends up happening is essentially the fragment of the God spirit and the fragment of the Warden annihilate each other. So nothing to go back to the god. So if they’re there, they’re a shadow of their former self. But obviously when Elgar'nan and Ghilan'nain come out, there’s not that distance. There’s not that need to use the Blight as essentially an in-between medium and they can just regain that fragment of their soul. They’re now mortal, but they’re just as powerful as they were before. Busche: And this is part of a theme within The Veilguard. We’re tackling some pretty big subject matter, some of the largest outstanding mysteries within Dragon Age lore. So we want to tie up some of those loose ends, give really satisfying answers, but we also want to leave the door open just a little bit. So questions like that, what happens to the rest of the gods? Those are themes that we want to be able to explore, but also be able to advance the franchise."

1. What made you ship it?

Gumshoe's absolute faith in edgeworth and support of him 🥺‼️💖 Turnabout goodbyes REALLY had him be so sweet and worried, he cares so much ;;; So that it's easy to imagine edgeworth also having a soft spot for the detective that follows him around like a loyal dog. And potentially gumshoe getting to see a nicer side of him that people generally don't

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

Honestly, basically what i just said oops scdj😭! The way they can look out for each other is so nice (ignoring that. Canon really likes to dunk on gumshoe for some reason). Also frankly they're so hot. Big awooga man and a touch-starved freaked who's REALLY into him. It's mwah

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

I don't think so. Only on gumshoe specifically because. He does actually have his genuinely scary sides (towards Phoenix and Maya mostly), despite clearly being s nice guy. I think it goes a bit ignored sometimes (which i think is a bit sad because you know. He is a cop and a part of the system that's being criticized. Especially with the arresting people for bad reasons).

Which, as for gumworth: I think it's nice to think that not only is gumshoe there to balance out edgeworth on his bad days but it could also the other way around! Edgeworth can certainly be calm, maybe infuriatingly so to some people. But gumshoe would really appreciate when he can rely on him at times when he himself is stressed!

I was of two minds on this result before I thought about it. Thyneron's primary themes are death and rebirth, and I would absolutely say there's an element of dark sexuality to how that relates to ceremorphosis. If nothing else, manic obsessive love fits him to a T. Though I doubt people pray to him so much as view him as a cautionary tale about idolazation and fantasy.

I've finally finished my Dread Wolf tarot embroidery from Dragon Age Inquisition! Clocking in at 64 hours of work, it measures 11.5 X 19.5 cm and I've been chipping away it during my downtime at work. My fellow community council members on Dragon Age: The Veilguard may have been biased while helping me choose which character's card to do, but I'm so grateful they did because it was so much fun to work on, and so different from the previous ones.

This is my fourth large Dragon Age character card project, and the first one I started since I uprooted everything to train as a costumer. Having a portable yet elaborate project was comforting while travelling for new experiences.

Now, who's excited for the new game later this year?!

Stupid question, do you know of a map that shows where that marquis in orlais is from that text game they got rid of? And/or where anyone put together lore from it?

hello! ◕‿◕ not a stupid question at all! I really love TLC, Serault and Serault lore, it was really intriguing with its own unique character.. Dragon Age: The Last Court you will always be famous (˶◞ ‸ ◟˶)

to my knowledge/recollection there was no map of the Marquisate of Serault itself. but we do know where the Marquisate of Serault specifically sits on the larger map of Thedas proper thanks to the War Table in DA:I -

here you can see exactly where it sits in relation to the Nahashin Marshes and the Tirashan. there were also descriptions in the game of various locations in the Marquisate and (a bit) on their geographic relations to each other, as well as descriptions in the game relating that the Marquisate itself is in the far west of Orlais ("far west of the civilised world") near the Tirashan ("Look west, to the Tirashan Forest").

Finally answering many days later, thank you for the tag, @thefloatingstone!

Favorite Companion: Lae'zel, zero contest. She's my favorite type of character ever, we love them doggedly loyal, hardass, and perhaps not secretly "sweet" beneath, but she possesses layers and dualities that make me want to fall to my knees and weep that such good character writing exists. She also has the biggest shiniest doe eyes.

Favorite Act: 1.5, aka the Mountain Pass. I've long wanted to write a post about how, for as cool as the underdark is, the mountain pass feels like an incredibly fitting segue into both Act II and the rest of the game in general. you are watching the sun literally set on the lighter and uncertain tone of Act I and leading into the bleak darkness of Act II and beyond. From here on out the journey is only darker and more serious, and I love it so much for that last light of day.

Favorite Class: Draconic Sorcerer, primarily because that's how I played my first run of the game. My tav is specifically of the green dragon bloodline, and it wound up being so fitting for him that it sent me down a whole rabbit hole studying and appreciating dragons. On a purely mechanic level they're very fun too, and as someone that romanced Gale (and then went mind flayer and locked down the emperor) playing a specifically draconic sorcerer provided a LOT of interesting parallels and contrasts to those two.

Favorite Storyline: Rolan (and Cal and Lia). to be honest, I really enjoy all of the grove tieflings stories, but especially these three. Seeing Rolan grow and change through the game was wonderful, and he's got a surprising amount of complexity and depth for a very optional side character.

Favorite NPC: I barely even need to say this, you all know I'm insane for her. My queen, my perfect duke, Belynne Stelmane.

Favorite Villain: this one was hard to choose not least of all for the fact that the Emperor could have easily occupied this slot as well lmao. There are too damn many good villains. I think Orin would just eke out the spot if only I didn't like her slightly better in the hands of the fans that have really dug into her character. As presented solely in game, Gortash wins just a tiny bit. Also I think he's just delightful, love to see a middle aged man in his emo BTS era conquering and ruling.

Favorite Romance: you know what it is bitch

Favorite Animal: Call me basic but I love Scratch. So much so that I have never actually ever summoned him, because if anything happened to him in combat I would be extremely sad and then it would turn into a Kill Everything run

Thank you! I'm so pleased with how he's developed since I started reworking him, even if it's taken quite a few playthroughs to get it right and also sprinkled in some of the nightmare+trials runs' gameplay shenanigans into the canon (see: the Golden Halla Incident and a harlequin TPKing the party during Wicked Eyes while trying to get back to the ballroom for the final part of the quest.)
