you and yuuji rarely argue, but when you do, it's often over his aversion toward seriousness, even when a situation calls for it. though you really should have kept your mouth shut, because in this moment, you'd give anything to see his typical carefree expression.

his eyes are regarding you intently, taking in your flustered appearance with knitted brows.

"yuuji..." you trail off, wracking your brain for an explanation of your current predicament.

despite the fact he regained control of his body only moments ago, one of his hands is curled around the back of your neck, while the other is resting on your hip.

"baby, what happened?" he presses, the tone of his voice entirely unreadable.

"s-sukuna," is all you can manage to choke out.

his eyes darken immediately, his jaw tensing in a way that intimidates you. "he hurt you."

you really can't tell if it's a question or a statement, and your response comes a little too quickly. "no! that's not... no."

the next few seconds tick by in a slow sort of agony, heat creeping up your cheeks.

he notices for the first time that his head is eerily quiet. no snide remarks, no scathing commentary. just his own thoughts as he pieces together the situation.

his gaze drops to the angry, red marks littering your neck and you watch in helpless horror as understanding passes his features.

"oh."

the word hangs in the air as you await his reaction, fully anticipating disgust and betrayal. you're positive it's only a matter of time before he throws you out of the apartment and tells you to never come back.

what you don't expect, however, is the way his shoulders relax as the tension leaves his face.

he straightens himself, arms falling to his sides, but he doesn't put any distance between your bodies.

"how long have you...?" he's not quite sure how to phrase the question.

"a few months. this was the first time anything... um... happened. we usually just talk."

he tilts his head to the side, so you clarify. "after you've fallen asleep."

mulling over the information, he hums in response, looking thoughtful for a few more seconds. then, his usual demeanor is back and he grabs your hand. "wanna get dinner? i'm starving!"

he tugs you a few feet toward the door before you come to your senses. "woah, woah. wait a second, yu."

when he looks back at you expectantly, you find that his face holds not one hint of bitterness or judgement. "aren't you angry?"

you're amazed to find that he's the one looking sheepish.

"how could i be? it's not exactly easy to be with me when i have a thousand year old curse rattling around in my body, but you stay anyway," he expresses, making your heart soften. "i just want you to be safe, so i'll take whatever relationship the two of have now over him being a threat to you."

as your hands reach up to cradle his face and your eyes sparkle with adoration, you briefly wonder how you ever found such a sweet man. he places a quick kiss to your lips, the smile on his face easy going as ever. "sooooo, i'm thinking takoyaki or maybe udon—"

"we can get whatever you want," you glance at the spatters of blood across his chest left there from the mission, no doubt from sukuna's careless slaughter. "as long as you go wash up first."

"right!" he agrees quickly, bounding off to the bathroom.

you stand alone in the middle of your living room, left with the ghost of both yuuji and sukuna's lips against yours and a sense of bewildered excitement.

back in his prison, however, sukuna is furious with himself. he should have let you die that day he kept you from being run over. better yet, he should have killed you with his own hands before the brat won back control of his body.

he is a terrible being that delights in carnage, a fact that's well known even centuries later. so why, when he could have done anything in the world, did he go to you? you even asked that same question before you—

he rejects the memory of you pressing your lips to his disdainfully.

your foolishness and your naivete are revolting. your softness and your pliancy are nauseating.

he shouldn't have been anywhere near you, if not to rip your obnoxious heart from your chest like he'd always planned. it was a situation he'd dreamt about and now it's slipped through his fingers, even though those same fingers had graced your fragile little neck.

you were nothing more than a clueless mouse in the jaws of a snake, and though the pains of hunger have been tearing at its stomach for years now, the serpent let itself starve.

sukuna retreats to his domain, fingers prodding at his temples irritably. he allows himself to wallow for a few hours, shutting out both you and the brat.

then, steeling his resolve, he begins to watch and wait like the predator he knows himself to be.

lulled into a false sense of security regarding your safety, it's clear that yuuji has let his guard down. just barely so, but enough that sukuna can see a few weaknesses in his chains. ironic seeing that, now more than ever, the king of curses wants you dead.

it goes without saying that he promptly ceases his nightly interactions with you. it's beneath him, wasting his time with a human. he knows that now.

but while he may not speak to you, he cannot refrain from stealing glances as the days stretch on. you're usually reading, completely oblivious to his watchful eye. he convinces himself it's simply to keep tabs on you, as he's deemed you his foremost enemy.

he's not sure how much time has passed when you begin calling out for him in hushed whispers after yuuji falls asleep, the hurt and confusion in your voice plain to him. it's irksome, and evidently, you're incapable of taking a hint.

his silence becomes more painful with each turn of the moon. you're a bit mortified to find that you genuinely miss him, so you just want answers. did he finally realize that you're nothing special, not worth bothering with?

eventually, growing restless, you all but beg him. "sukuna, please. talk to me. what happened? what'd i do wrong?" his chest tightens with what he believes is vexation. "you can't just make me like you and then disappear. you can't kiss me like that and then—"

"you insolent, maddening little creature!" his eye flies open just in time to see you gasp, your body jerking away from him. "shut up already! can't you see i want nothing to do with you? don't you tire of being pathetic?"

you don't dignify him with a response, swallowing thickly and turning away from him.

finally, he thinks, some fucking quiet. though if he's gotten what he wanted, why does his chest still ache?

he stares at the back of your form until the sun rises.

sukuna is no simpleton. he can be patient when he is sure of a reward, but he's thrilled that the perfect opportunity arises just two days after your encounter.

yuuji is exhausted. gojo kept him out all last night, despite the grueling mission he had today, and when he all but stumbles through your apartment door, the moon is already high in the sky.

you never mention the change in your relationship with sukuna to yuuji. even though he was so understanding, you still feel a touch awkward discussing it further. and maybe in the back of your mind, you're holding out hope that it might go back to the way it was.

sukuna watches through yuuji's eyes when you greet him, your expression half concern and half 'i told you so'. nights out with gojo usually lead to this very situation.

he showers while you finish cooking dinner and once you both eat, he helps you clean up despite his exhaustion. after whispering his thanks and pressing a kiss to your temple, he retires to bed.

you promise you'll join him soon, but sukuna knows it probably isn't true. following his outburst, you've taken to staying in the living room until you're ready to sleep.

yuuji's out before his head hits the pillow and nearly two hours later, you're still not in bed. sukuna's eager, but waits until he's sure the brat's deep in his slumber before he tries to take over. it's relatively easy, and he pushes down yuuji's unconscious mind as far as he can before rising to his feet.

this is finally it. he stretches his limbs lazily, a dangerous smirk settling on his lips. the floor creaks with each step he takes, but he pays no mind to stealth. you're no match for him.

tonight, you'll be his first victim of many and the thought of making up for his past misjudgement has him giddy with excitement.

but the sight that greets him upon exiting the bedroom— you curled into yourself on the couch, your shoulders shaking with quiet sobs— it stops him in his tracks.

he wants to move, more than anything, so what the fuck is wrong with him? is the brat taking over already?

and why is that uncomfortable sensation making it's home in the center of his chest once more?

when you notice his presence, your face shifts to him and reveals your wide, teary eyes. it's clear you're surprised by his appearance, but you quickly bury your face in your knees.

you just want him to leave you alone. you hate him for what he said, for what he did. he forced his way into your life, made you care about him, and then he just vanished. he's cruel and you feel like an idiot because you should have known that from the beginning. or maybe you did and he just made you forget.

"go away. i.. i don't want to see you."

he's disbelieving, for a brief moment, that here you are giving him orders while he stands in the doorway with the intention of taking your life.

he moves toward you, invading your space in a way that is meant to be intimidating, but when you look up at him, every emotion ranging from sadness to rejection to indignation is etched into your features. though the terror he hoped to inspire is noticeably absent.

"i said go away!" you swiftly stand up, your hands meeting squarely with his chest as you push him with every ounce of power you have.

you may as well have shoved a brick wall, as he doesn't move even a fraction of an inch. he seizes one of your wrists anyway.

"what is it you think you're doing, exactly?" he spits.

"let go of me!" you beat against his chest with the hand he left free until his fingers wrap around that wrist too.

"enough."

he's certain there isn't a being that has attacked him (if he can even call that an attack) and lived to speak of it, not once in an entire millennia.

so just end the insolent brat and be done with it, he urges himself.

but he can't and he doesn't understand why, so he just stares down at you.

"what the fuck do you want?" you mean for it to come out forcefully and full of spite, but your voice cracks before you can finish.

an excellent question, indeed. what does he want?

he doesn't answer you and it's so goddamn frustrating that you begin to cry again, rambling to fill the discomforting silence. "you've already told me i'm pitiful and annoying. it's clear you think my company is insufferable, that i'm undesirable—"

that ache in his chest is unbearable now. it claws at his ribcage and shreds the flesh of his heart. it makes his stomach twist uncomfortably and rings shrilly in his ears. he can't even hear you anymore, but he can still see the tears sliding down your cheeks and the way you gasp between words.

the truth of the matter crashes down on him and the devastating weight of it is so crushing it squeezes the air from his lungs.

that feeling in his chest isn't annoyance or repugnance. its anguish— the kind that rattles his bones and leaves him sick with regret.

it's because you're in pain, and worse yet, he is the cause of it.

sukuna pushes you back against the wall before you can comprehend what's happening. his hands find either side of your face and you're alarmed to find that he looks... frightened.

"what are you doing to me?" he pleads for an explanation, because he sure as hell doesn't have one.

how can one little human hold such power over him? it's unnatural. it defies all logic and reason.

you stare at him, open mouthed. his face is so close that his breath fans across your skin and it makes you feel dizzy.

"what are you talking about?" you finally ask.

"you should be dead right now," he frets, despair seeping into every word. "it should be easy."

it dawns on you that you should probably feel afraid, but you just don't. his touch is firm, but careful. and there's no malice to be found behind his eyes. "you're not making any sense."

he thinks back on the time you've spent together, trying to figure out how the hell he ended up here— him at your mercy, rather than you at his. he remembers the first time he made you laugh and considers that it may have been the beginning of his unraveling. for the following two weeks, you both discussed homer at length as you made your way through his poetry.

"there can be no covenants between men and lions. wolves and lambs can never be of one mind, but hate each other through and through." you blink at him, recognizing at once that he's quoting the illiad. his voice is low and unsteady in a way that suggests desperation. it makes you shiver. "therefore there can be no understanding between you and me, nor may there be any covenants between us, till one or other shall fall."

your eyes narrow as you begin to understand his his internal struggle, though you're unsure if he's attempting to reason with you or with himself.

"you quote achilles, and rightfully so i suppose, given your common qualities— exasperating pride and a penchant for meaningless violence." he looks relieved, like your seeming agreement eases his mind. it's short lived. "but you forget his passion."

his gaze shifts away from you, his hands withdrawing from your face.

"his passion?" he repeats as if it's the most incredulous thing he's ever heard.

"by the end of the story, is he not acquainted with regret, sympathy, and respect? he doesn't remain blind to the error of his ways forever."

"only a foolish human could make such fanciful deductions," he chides through gritted teeth, still refusing to meet your eye.

you actually laugh at him. "perhaps you shouldn't call upon achilles to make your point after all. at least he grows out of his utterly childish view of the world."

"how dare you?" he demands, his features growing wild as one hand finds your throat (his touch not nearly harsh enough to cause you any discomfort), the other colliding with the wall beside your head. his display doesn't fool you though. "you witless, wretched brat! you're nothing more than a blip in a universe you cannot even begin to understand. you sicken me."

you throw achilles' words in his face just as easily as he did to you. "hateful to me as the gates of hades is that man who hides one thing in his heart and speaks another."

his gaze hardens, and for a split second, you think you may have been mistaken in your fearlessness, but then his fingers thread themselves through your hair and he pulls your lips to his.

it's rough and commanding, and he tells himself it's only to get you to shut up. to wipe that expression of smug pity from your face.

it's not because, despite the fact you know how awful he is, you're convinced there's something salvageable in him too. nor is it because you tyrannize his every passing thought. and it's certainly not because the feeling of you pressed against him brings him more satisfaction than ripping the hearts from the chests of a hundred men.

ultimately, his denial is overshadowed by his desire. your touch is nothing short of needy as you tug at his shirt, an attempt to bring him even closer, and god does he hope that means you feel just as desperate as he does. he deserves at least a little consolation.

as his hands roam every valley and curve of your body, he deems it unfair that a being whose very existence spells hell on earth should be so taken with such a devastatingly divine creature.

"i've wanted you so terribly," he mumbles against your mouth before he can stop himself.

"then fuck you for making us both wait," you breath out.

his fingers dig into the flesh of your hips in response and his lips shift to your neck. "watch that pretty little mouth of yours, brat."

he nips at the spot just below your ear hard enough that it makes you gasp, doubtless a punishment for your impudence. you recover quickly though, wasting no time with your flippant reply. "or what? you'll go back to plotting my murder?"

he pulls away from you abruptly, sighing deeply and pinching the bridge of his nose. "you truly have zero sense of self preservation, don't you?"

"guess so," you shrug, smiling at him bashfully. "can we watch a movie? i'll even let you pick."

you ask as if it's the most normal request in the world. as if he isn't a thousand year old curse that would be off turning the city to ash were he not here with you instead.

he rolls his eyes, scoffing at the ridiculousness of it all. "fine."

This 80s masterpiece is a smart political satire/social commentary disguised as a comic book/action revenge movie that interweaves hilarious dark humor, ultraviolence and science fiction in a simple yet seamless plot. It will honestly SHOCK you just how much it has to say on American evolutions in capitalism, media influence, desensitization to violence, gentrification, and our perception of heroes, each in service of a greater conversation about identity and culture.

Atonement

I consider this film the pinnacle of an angsty/doomed romance executed perfectly on-screen: the performances, the cinematography, the music, EVERYTHING!! Funny story, me & the girlfriends went to see this in theaters expecting a typical period romance; left completely snot-dripping, bawling our eyes out. I shit you not, i felt the utter devastation from this film for WEEKS

Amelie

If there was a film to define the term "whimsy" then this is it!! Its so creatively rich, with such a fun and sweet art style in the characters, the way its filmed, the music, the romance- it'll make your heart ache for days.

Inglorious Basterds

I'm a big whore for Tarantino ever since Reservoir Dogs, but I consider film his ABSOLUTE masterpiece. The comedically distinct characters, the sharpness of dialogue, how he builds up the tension of scenes to the point of explosion with just a simple conversation- *CHEFS KISS*

Children of Men

This dystopian sci fi drama was made in 2005 but with all the social commentary woven into the background of the story, it is eerily topical in today's tumultuous political & social climate (which is very telling about us as a society I suppose). The director Alfonso Cuaron is a master at "show don't tell" filmmaking and it SHOWS. Also the tracking long shots in this film are something to witnessed, beheld even. Masterpiece.

Bridget Jones' Diary

My absolute FAV romantic comedy, i totally relate to this bumbling, epic disaster of a woman, even more so now that i'm 30+ like her. Fun fact, the plot is heavily inspired by Pride & Prejudice which is probably why i love it so much. Also Colin Firth 🥵 (which leads me to another fun fact- he was cast as Mark Darcy mainly due to the author's crush on him from his portrayal of Mr. Darcy in the 1996 BBC miniseries which put him on the map, and rightly so. I know the film adaption is super popular, but any P&P fan NEEDS to watch this version, so so good)

Chicago

This musical ruined all theater musicals for me forever- the film adaptation is THAT good!!! The spectacle, the numbers, the PERFORMANCES- Catherine Zeta Jones slayed as Velma Kelly (also my ovaries), i love it so much that i watched it 3 times back to back on a flight i honestly couldnt get enough lol

Kung Fu Hustle

This film is Stephen Chow's magnum opus- an action comedy that blends kung-fu and all sorts of historical chinese references and homages of the directors favorite films, you can tell the passion and the fun that went into making this film and it really REALLY shows. I consider this a perfect execution of what a live-action anime could be, this film is an absolute blast and classic

Annihilation

I've got a bit of a cosmic/existential horror kink (where a form of media makes you question the world/life as we know it or triggers an existential crisis) and this film gets it RIGHT. It's a philosophical sci-fi thriller but is so much more with its themes of pain and identity, exploration of humanity's disposition for self destruction but also its unsettling visuals and soundtrack. Funny story, the sound design is so alien/unsettling that it spooked my cat from her nap and got her staring at the screen with wide eyes and an arched back trying to figure out what the eff was going on (me as well).

Also love how its an all female cast but its never mentioned in-film; just a bunch of capable women going to take care of business (i didnt even notice until my 2nd watch)- im a fan of this approach as it in effect "normalizes" this scenario whereas calling it out as if its special just highlights how it's an exception...anyway, its a horrifically beautiful film.

Sicario

Denis Villeneuve can do no wrong in my eyes (nor cinematographer Roger Deakins), a beautifully shot thriller that serves as a social commentary on how laws are meant to be broken, lines are drawn and then erased when convenient, as long as it serves a so-called greater purpose, that keeping a moral code is a futile effort. Brilliant performed and written, nuanced characters, glorious cinematography and a killer soundtrack (RIP Johan Johansson), A+++++

scenes that rot my brain

when they mutiny against jack in the s1 finale. that whole bit, from gwen with rhys’ body in the autopsy bay to owen shooting jack to when they trigger the emergency protocol and open the rift. ill never get over how it first felt to watch that whole scene for the first time, it drove me insane. it still drives me insane. ive watched it 300 times it's sooo 😩 MY scene. g-d.

well, that’s my scene, and so are all the owen & ianto scenes in s1ep12. those two make me feral. ive gushed about theose scenes before, so ill spare u this time. my otp 4eva. and also owen having a villainous breakdown wahahaha. my fucked up little guy of all time

the scene where owen’s patching gwen up in countrycide drives me nuts. it’s such a clever seduction scene + it’s so intimate. i love it. (i also enjoy the two separate scenes where she chokes him fdhskjfdsf. countrycide tree scene makes me BLUSH and nothing makes me blush fsdkjfdshfkjdshfjkd. i am very very bi <3)

owen begging diane to stay in out of time... don’t touch me. every time i think of that whole scene i wanna cry. i have never seen such sad eyes in my life. (see my tags here for more of my thoughts on this topic fkjsdfhs.) burn pay my fucking hospital bills

that moment between jack and owen at the end of combat... “for a few seconds i felt totally at peace... and then you blunder in. do you always know best, jack? is that what you believe?” “i want you back at work tomorrow.” that scene has always driven me crazy. there’s a few scenes in the show where jack’s monstrous and the others yell at him over it, but that one hits the hardest. owen just seems to actually cut through him in that moment, and it kills me.

the scene at the conference table in s2ep5. i’m not the biggest fan of that ep, i talked abt it more the other day, but that scene drives me bonkers, for a number of reasons… the insight into the characters (owens mommy issues!!! tosh n ianto’s need for purpose!!! gwen loves rhys AND jack!!!), for sure, but especially the way jack’s relationship with all of them is presented. ill talk about it a lot more when i discuss his character, but jack… reminds me of a cult leader, in a lot of ways, and it’s most prominent in that scene especially. the show doesn’t realize it’s framing him like that, and the fandom doesn’t seem to pick up on it either. but i do, and i think it’s fascinating. 

gwen drugging rhys in combat. it just kind of blew my mind when i first saw it - there's a moment with every character where i went “oh wtf theyre fucked up. ok im obsessed now” (owen's was ghost machine, ianto's was actually ‘pray they survive’ in meat, jack & tosh never had one for me which is probs why they dont rot my brain quite as much fhdskjf) - that was gwen's. also important to note burn gorman agrees w me bc on the commentary of this ep during this scene he was clapping n laughing n probably kickin his feet HFDKSJFHDSJKFDSK he gets me

all of fragments tbh esp owens portion but specifically ianto crying when he walks away from jack at the end of his segment, and owen crying when he's talking to the doctor + him n jack walking thru the cemetery. aaaa.

the very first scene in the hub in the pilot :) it just feels a little bit magical in an industrial, bleak, kitchen-sink sort of way, which is what i love sm abt tw, the way it occasionally strikes that balance. the way stepping into a big base in a sewer manages to still feel magical… that’s special.

in episode 2 when theyre having lunch + in episode 4 when theyre at the bar, when they’re all gathered around and laughing. ohh i wish we got more of that

every time gwen n owen are dumbass giggling besties, or teasing each other… twice in s2ep10, and in ep 7, and then when theyre fooling around at the beginning of s2ep2. i love themmmm those two are my idiots they make me smile

in ghost machine, when gwen holds the device and sees herself crying and covered in blood, and afterwards she’s all dazed and she looks at owen and he stares back and he looks dangerous. i loveee that scene. will never get over s1 owen. he’s a ticking time bomb and when he explodes he nearly destroys the world. character of all time to me. i love that he redeems himself in the end but ohhhhh sometimes i think of a world where he becomes a proper antagonist. he rlly walks the precipice 

g-d and the scene where he had the knife held to ed morgan, when i first watched it i didn’t know what he was gonna do and it was so tense. 

when lisa was first revealed in cyberwoman and mogwai played…. transcendent. the outfit was silly right off the bat but the vibe + reveal was cool enough i was rlly excited. i love the concepts in that episode i wish they took it more seriously. no metal bikini + no pteradacyl fight and we could’ve had it all. but also. would it be torchwood without metal bikini + pteradacyl fight.

“it made me happy” scene in countrycide. a lot of people seem to find that ep upsetting, i wasn’t really affected by the subject matter, but That got me. chilling. you go into torchwood expecting evil aliens, so the episodes about evil humans really hit.

the resurrection scene in s2ep7. i’m getting tired so im not gonna babble as much but agh. i wanna eventually do an analysis on owen & jack’s dynamic - i’ll talk about it there.

also, it’s a little moment but in the same episode, when gwen calls rhys crying… it reminds me of that bit in succession, during connor’s wedding, when tom calls greg, which is one of my favorite moments in that episode too. taking the time in the middle of a tragedy to step aside and privately call a loved one for support, bc u need a minute to break down when uve been doing ur best to stay strong. i think torchwood is bad at handling grief and letting their characters experience it, so it’s a nice little moment that actually lets her grieve. that, and the glove clearly triggers her, so she got double whammied with the death of a friend + the reminder of the time she nearly died. again, in a show that doesn’t typically frame moments of weakness and pain very sympathetically, it’s refreshing. 

idk why, but in ep7, when it goes back and forth between owen figuring out the murders + tosh crying to mary while she looks unsympathetically down at her… it’s just a well-filmed, cool scene, and i enjoy it. thrills me, heh. also owen adhd icon

aditd... maggie’s wedding… we’d been married less than an hour. scenes that got me. i think of maggie a lot. i think of that scene a lot. i think ‘the woman on the roof’ is my most listened to torchwood ost track, fff. it’s very special to me. that song reminds me of a thomas newman score.

tosh n owen’s deaths. of course. both of owens deaths actually, the second one is more impactful but the way nobody held him when he first died bc they were all in shock haunts me ;-;

I love the energy and all and I don’t want to offend but as a Muslim girl i can tell you that it is literally haram to identify as anything other than your god given gender. Like I’m not trying to be rude and I’m glad that there a respectful supportive people out there but if you’re looking at the Quran and other islamic book you’ll find stories about how its considered haram. Accepting the islam religion means accepting everything and dedicating yourself to it you can’t just pick and choose.

I too love Jay so fucking much! they use she/he/they/zey pronouns with no real prefrence over any of them. Some people use she/her for him and theyre cool with it, others he/him, some just stick with they/him or a mix of all of them. Jay looks at gender and shakes a magic eight ball at it and goes "sure cool im that today!"

their name is technically Jayden- however she quickly gets it changed after a gender crisis [thanks for that kenny] Jaybird is technically a nickname that cole gives her when the two of them are a mixed tag team in NXT. Jay has an understanding for animals and being a high-flyer has a love of birds. It used to be 'Jaydenbird' and started as an inside joke. Now Jaybird is just what Cole calls zem whenever shes lovely dovey and not being a completely asshole [/affectionate] to her boyfriend.

Jay has a lot of scars. Most of them just being dumb wrestling accidents. The one under her right eye is from Kenny hitting them with a nerf gun by mistake cuz Jay got to close to him and spooked him. Now nobody is allowed nerf guns in arenas and Jay is SOOOOOO not salty about it. the scar on his chin is from skateboarding and Nick going "I betcha twenty bucks you cant jump from the diving board off ya skateboard" of a hotel pool. Jay does it because sometimes zey have a singular braincell and its busy thinking of hangmans ass. Well, "does it"

she climbs up to the diving board, slips and smacked her face on the back of the diving board. Still dove into the pool though and "do I still get the twenty bucks?" "depends. do you still have your teeth!?" neither one of them mention it to Matt.

Theres two large scars on his forearm because when she was 14 and still under Regals training and wrestling in the british indies, chose to wrap barbed wire around his arm. only for their opponant to pull it and it cut into zeir arm. Jay still thinks she was badass cuz she won!

The last scar is more then likely the most important one since it directly links to Jay meeting kenny and the gender crisis. Jay starts off as part of the JAS and theyre really shitty to him like to the point theyre mocking Jays disability [hes deaf] and tortmenting them in the ring to the point shes loosing matches and then Chris Jericho starts putting them down on commentary, to Regal, to Mox and to the female roster.

and one day, Jay just cannot stand it anymore. Facing Kris Stratlander in a hardcore match. Jay climbs the turnbuckle, stares at Jericho whose ringside, looks at wheeler whose there supporting Kris [and who is also jays boyfriend, they are just instantly in love as soon as they meet- both jay and wheeler are too dumb to realise that thought] and preforms a diving headbut. Only for Kris to move and Jay smack her head off a steel chair and then the outside of the ring rolling out of the ring. Shes concussed and the match ends because theres just blood pissing outta her head.

Cut to jay, alone in the JAS locker room fucked up and bloody. Talking to their rabbit Hemlock, talking about how he wants to give and how he doesnt feel right and how shes so tired and itll be fine if she just zones out for a little [dissocation] and then theres another voice and the weight of a bunny on her lap and "hey hey, talk to me yeah? tell me about your bunny. I bet they like it when they get really good big pets" and someone moving their hand and then theres a guy that hes seen before but cant remember because yay concussion and then

"I dont..I dont know you!"

"Kenny Omega, now you know me!"

"Jayden...Jayden orton.."

"Nice to meet ya Jay"

and then theres an entire crisis, kenny calling hanger pretty, keeps using they/them pronouns for Hemlock and he keeps calling her Jay and "my partner gets like this sometimes, hes really pretty- hey i should introduce you two!"

and then Jay just kinda sits there and loops the name Jay in her head, and they/them pronouns and how men can be pretty and maybe they could be a pretty boy? because everyone sometimes feel uncomfortable about their body right guys? everyone hates their name because it doesnt sound right, right guys?

As 10 Million plus of you know, or may not know my ID photos recently went viral on the internet lol. My 2018 and 2024 IDs caused a frenzy of hilarious commentary on Twitter first and then IG this week. From “he’s a crackhead” to “the difference between doing weed and doing coke”, to “Thats what living in Maryland will do to you”. All quite hilarious to me and those who know me, but I’d like to give some background on the actual factuals.

Never done hard drugs in my fucking life! I was high on weed in the first ID photo in 2018 (clearly). Those that know me know I’ve been sober the last 8 months after choosing to quit smoking weed completely due to me raising my son and how much he mimics everything I do and being high around him just didn’t feel right. From being a heavy weed smoker for the past 15 years to quitting cold turkey, I am extremely proud that I don’t look like that first pic anymore.

Stress has nothing to do with the difference in photos, I am so much happier with life and my family and my accomplishments now in 2024 than I was in 2018. I’m married, own place, own car, family growing and healthy with a thriving business in photography, and loving my job im blessed to do every single day. I was more stressed in 2018 than ever with none of the aforementioned accomplishments.

My eyes change color, they’re a totally different shade lighter than the 2018 photo. My eyes change colors all the time from brown, to green, to hazel, to grey. My eyebrows have always been super thin. People telling me go to the doctor and get my thyroid checked and Im literally the healthiest I’ve been my entire life. Juicing, exercising when I can and eating my vegetables. I think I look healthier with smoother skin. My shocked expression is really due to not having my glasses on and the flash going off before I expected it to because theres no countdown just “turn and take the pic”, Boom.

I needed a shapeup my mustache do look wild lol. My locs are braided and pulling my hairline back further than what it is. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I like my before and after photos and glad I posted it and went Viral. One thing about me, Im probably the most self confident person you gonna run into so nothing someone who doesn’t know me can say thats gonna hurt my feelings or make me feel any less than what I already know I am. And I’m the last person you want to try to make fun of and put on blast cause Im just gonna use it to my advantage and put it on a T-shirt, you really cant pay for this type of Free Promotion. So thank you Twitter, Memezar, OnlyinDMV, DMVHoodzandNewz, you just turned my website views up and sent me more prospective clients. Thank you to everyone who sent it my way; Me, Ash and even my Mom have been receiving DMs and texts all week from concerned friends and family making sure I saw it lol. I appreciate everyone in the comments taking up for me and tagging me. The positive messages and love I received was really the biggest compliments ever. hi! your post abt polari in the sandman popped up on my dash, and while i haven't watched the sandman at all, i do have an interest in polari. do you have any resources you'd recommend for someone wanting to learn about the history? books, documentaries, whatever. a lot of the stuff i've found is the same surface-level information, but i'd love to dive a bit deeper, especially its usage diachronically. thought i'd ask since u seem knowledgeable. thanks!

Hope you don't mind, but I've put some Sandman-specific commentary at the bottom as I've had several people in the tags of that post asking stuff as well so it's easier to just make one response to the whole thing and link to it. I'm also not by any means an expert, I learned of Polari initially from 70s-80s UK tv comedies and then learned a bit about it studying linguistics in general. Unfortunately there's not as much material out there as one would hope, being that while in use it was mainly a sort of under-the-table thing used so someone who heard a snippet of your conversation couldn't immediately clock you or what you were saying, and when being gay became legal/less stigmatized it fell out of fashion because it wasn't necessary. But if you want truly thorough academic sources, particularly that analyze its roots, Paul Baker is the man you want. Polari: The Lost Language of Gay Men and Fabulosa! The Story of Polari, Britain's Secret Gay Language are about the history of it, and Fantabulosa: A Dictionary of Polari and Gay Slang has a lexicon of Polari and other LGBT-specific terminology (mostly 20th cent. IIRC) Now, if you want to get hold of these works you'd likely have to find them in a library or purchase them. If you know of a site that offers discount or free uni textbooks, you may find it there as well- I know I have seen these sorts of sites floating around tumblr but I don't remember them off the top of my head. If you want something completely free and easy to grab, I found this paper (UofM dissertation) which seems like it has a decent, fairly detailed overview of the language as well as details of some of the initial linguistic sources of various bits & pieces of it- it has many different bits from different sources like thieves' cant, carnivallers' cant, yiddish, romani, italian, latin, sailing slang, cockney rhyming slang, it's a bit of a mixed bag. If you want to hear full Polari in conversation, Putting On The Dish is a short film almost entirely in Polari. Note that full Polari is near-unintelligible unless you know it- this video is a presentation on Polari that breaks down Putting On The Dish line by line into modern layspeak so you can get an idea of what's actually being said in the film.

Now, while full Polari went very quickly out of fashion after the decriminalization of male homosexuality in England in the 60s because it was no longer necessary to avoid arrest, certain specific terms and bits of slang were carried through into mainstream gay and drag culture in the latter half of the 20th century and the populace at large were made aware of them via pop culture- duck/ducky among them. Which is why throwing it haphazardly into Hob's speech is an issue if you don't know the etymology- if you're not a granny talking about her grandchildren in an old fashioned way, but a young (appearing) man talking to another man in casual conversation, it's extremely camp. It would be something like having him go around calling people "hunty" today, minus the AAVE connotations. Could he get away with it today, in the 2020s? Sure, although it might come off a bit strange for a younger guy to be throwing out nigh Dame Edna levels of old-fashioned queenieness. But during the 80s, during the renewed backlash against homosexuality that occurred during Margaret Thatcher's term and the passing of Section 28 and the AIDS crisis? Not so long after decriminalization, but long enough that the entirety of Polari slang wasn't a secret anymore, long enough that everyone knew what it meant when you used that sort of language, even if they couldn't parse just what you were saying? The decade in which you can find "ducky" used as a homophobic slur on BBC One in one of the most popular britcoms ever made? Not so much. Sure, it wasn't arrest worthy anymore. If you were out in pop culture/performing arts circles, or even among college students, likely no one would bat an eye. But if you wanted to keep your respectable establishment job teaching children of conservative parents and not have whatever the 80s UK equivalent of One Million Moms was breathing down your neck trying to get you fired "for the children", it wasn't something you would do unless you were very sure you were safe being out in that particular company and that it wasn't going to get back to your employers. So, while I'm not saying DON'T use it, I'm saying, be aware of its context in the 20th century in general, and in that time period (1970s-1990s) specifically, its potential to be used as a stereotype and/or slur, and when and how it would be no big deal to use it and when it would be potentially dangerous.

3 completely unrelated, but if i had to rec a romance xianxia it would be love and redemption, which i’ve got a lot on as well (love and redemption tag, love and redemption lb tag) The plot was very well done, and a lot of stuff flips on its head in the nicest way, and i think maybe it gets overlooked sometimes? because it starts off very ‘similar’ to other shows in its genre in presentation (eternal love, ashes of love) before revealing it doesn’t intend to do very much the same at all (without spoiling - the protagonist means so much to me in LaR especially the way their arc unfolds, LaR gave me the first romance xianxia with a kind take on demons including major hero roles, and the villain was so satisfying after other shows of this genre never penalizing/painting as evil characters who’ve acted similarly). Also its got Crystal Yuan, Cheng Yi, and Liu Xue Yi as leads... some of my favorite actors. Very ‘the untamed’ vibes in what it has to say about righteousness, justice, mob mentality, absolute power. Only worth checking out if u feel up for it. a bi leading love interest, a protagonist who breaks a lot of conventions but i cant really mention without spoiling, demons who get to do more than fulfil ‘evil stand in’ roles and angst in heaping amounts. It starts with all the nice romance tropes in the most enjoyable least annoying way for me personally, then segways into heavier stuff, then by the last several eps it just blew any remaining expectations I had out of the water in a good way. My favorite story in its ‘genre’ and the only one I’d rewatch.

so like. i think what im trying to say here is that while ive met a lot of fans of both these creators, especially schlatt, who are great people as far as i can tell, i am also specifically on the fandom side of things and as soon as i step out of that space i realize that a lot of people who watch them are not actually minorities like me and my mutuals who can catch on to satire or who watch their more behind the scenes stuff where you can see them act like a decent person or even call out people for the things they usually joke about which just. fucking sucks. it sucks that, as much as i do believe schlatt is actually a good person (and sort of idubbbz, although i dont really watch him much anymore for a plethora of reasons, mostly related to the fact that i cant stand his jokes anymore even if he is playing a character as he's said before), he also keeps doing terrible fucking things and im really glad his actual friends have been calling him on it recently, especially after that jackbox video (which is a whole other thing on its own bc it literally seemed like nobody wanted to be there basically the entire video?? like as somebody who watched all the jackbox videos before that one, it was really fucking off in that call and the jokes were next level fucking upsetting), but sometimes it's just kinda like. exhausting. bc his community is already fucking bad now, you cant undo accidentally fostering a community of fucking racist homophobes who dont get that you're playing a character, unless you kinda drop off and build a whole new community from that, which would be stupid to do at this point in his career. not really sure where i was going with this tbh, but i thought i would chime in on this discussion as a viewer of mainly schlatt, but also a past idubbbz viewer who is basically a seasoned fucking vet at dealing with shitty fanbases because of him and many other dumb youtube white boys

(also, note on that anisa thing: ian's main fanbase was definitely pissed just bc she does sex work and a lot of them are too fucking young or just too fucking dense i guess to clock the fact that he's putting on an act bc, like i said before, they either dont watch his behind the scenes content, or they do and they kinda just miss those moments between still trying to entertain where he gets genuine. that being said, a lot of people outside of his fanbase were also pissy bc anisa is a less than spectacular lady if you really do your research on her, kind of a bad person but it's not something a lot of people know about, especially since one of the few videos made on it was by fucking creepshow art)

Yeah, I get what you mean (I think ahdsufsd). Fandom as a concept is pretty... I don't even know how to describe it, but it's the kind of thing that I feel like white male Redditors would think of as pussy shit, y'know? Like the Ricegum gang isn't a fucking "fandom" they're a... well, a fandom, but they're not gonna admit to that. So when you step outside of a community like Tumblr (the queerest place on the internet TM) you come into contact with the faces of the fandom you're dealing with and oftentimes they're a lot less like you than you might've thought from the similar interest. It's like going to a Weezer concert and realizing you're surrounded by incels (this is a JOKE).

Satire's a rough topic because some people don't think it should exist at all. Like any words that can be directly interpreted as bigoted or problematic should not be uttered. I disagree with that, I think it's one of the most interesting forms of both social commentary and comedy, but I do see the problem. There are people who watched Filthy Frank (to take an example from that other anon) and didn't know or care what the point of his actions were (I don't know what they were tbh - I never watched him, but it sounds like he's a pretty decent dude) and instead read his jokes as-is. There are thousands upon thousands of people who aren't gonna get satire and that's a problem because if they're already bigoted they're gonna see people like Schlatt and iDubbz and whoever else as truly validating.

(Largely unrelated but yo, is iDubbz still going? Are the views alright? Is the adsense popping? Has he just kept going with Content Cops? I haven't heard about him since the girlfriend thing dropped.)

I think this is what's pertinent when it comes to discussing Schlatt. After the Jackbox video (for me at least, he might've been there before) he put himself at a crossroads. If he'd apologized, said "sorry, I took it too far, that was a mistake" - yeah, plenty of people wouldn't have forgiven him and plenty of bigoted fans of his would've said that the apology was just to placate the snowflakes on Twitter, but to the sort of in-between people it would've shown that he's able to recognize and reconcile his mistakes. He could've transitioned into content that's A) actually good (when I say that the video was bad I don't just mean in terms of racism, I mean it straight up was not entertaining) and B) less "edgy" for the sake of. I wouldn't expect him to go uwu squeaky clean, but he's already reeled in the bad people, so if he really wanted to foster a good, progressive audience, he has to do something significant to show that.

But he didn't.

Maybe for the sake of his career, maybe because he likes those bigoted fans, maybe because he just doesn't get it - I don't know. I don't think we'll ever know. I spoke earlier about doing what is right over what is easy and in the case of Schlatt it just feels like he really did take the easy way out. Whoever he is in his personal life doesn't change how he's perceived online and the kinds of people that are idolizing him for it.

so a while ago i made a post with the signatures i made for the characters in 1836, and i was kinda having a lot of fun with it, so i decided to make signatures for all the hetalia characters (im totally not procrastinating with the intensity of the sun rn wym). so here they are, with the names closest to canon that i could find. my commentary is also interspersed. anywho here’s the signatures!

so this first page is of the characters whose names are in latin and cyrillic, the scripts i feel comfortable writing in. this is 99% europeans, plus the us, canada, and cuba. this is alphabetized by the name of the country the character repesents but not their actual human name because im a dumbass, except for the last three, which are russia, belarus, and ukraine. belgium doesn’t have a canon last name, so i deferred to netherlands’ surname for her. denmark’s name here is magnus densen, which is the only full name given in canon. there are other potential first names and last names given for him (none of which are mathias kholer btw) but seeing as magnus densen is the only actual full name, that’s the one i decided to go with. i also used erzebet as hungary’s name, and beilshmidt for germany (who doesn’t have a canon last name but you know. siblings with prussia), tolys for lithuania, timo for finland, antoño for spain (more old fashioned than antonio), vash for switzerland, and irinya chernenko for ukraine. 

this second one is mostly asian countries with scripts that i dont know how to write in/am not comfortable writing in. for most of the asian countries, and egypt, it’s common to use signet rings as a form of signature. im not confident in my ability to create unique signets for all of them and in five different languages that i niether speak nor know the script for, so i left that out. egypt’s official name is gupta mohammad hassan, but since the p sound doesn’t exist in modern egyptian arabic, i decided it wouldn’t make sense for him to have gupta as one of his names. while he would probably speak coptic, i doubt that many members of the government or even your average egyptian who’d be seeing his name on official papers (cops if he gets pulled over for speeding, personal credit card, etc) would be able to pronounce it. coptic is sort of in the same boat as latin with its status as a dead language that some people speak as a second language, and i don’t think there have been any native speakers for a few hundred years. for greece, i gave him both a roman and greek signature, because im a bit more familiar with the greek script than any of the asian ones. seychelles is included here rather than on the latin only sheet because she doesn’t have a canon surname. making it bonnefoy is a bit weird imo and not logically consistent with how former colonies names work in canon (look no further than any character from the americas), so i gave her my own. her name here is michelle vinot. hong kong also has his english name, leon, next to his cantonese name, but i wasn’t sure if he had an english surname, so i just left it as a first name (he’s already got a cantonese surname so i didn’t think an english one was necessary). anyway uh final note is that i hope taiwan and hong kong’s signatures are different enough from china’s bc i wanted them to be somewhat similar, but with varying degrees of divergence from china.

for all the talk in the promo materials abt how alina's mixed shu heritage was so important to her character, it ultimately went nowhere.

alina endures so much racist harassment in the first few episodes but that doesn't lead to any meaningful exploration of identity or oppressive structures or anything really.

and that's frustrating bc there was so much potential there. racism usually only exists in fantasy in an allegorical form such as prejudice against magic users (present in the grishaverse as well) or certain magical races, both usually played by white ppl. but s&b chose to cast a mixed asian actress AND put writers of colour on the team, including mixed race writers, to bring those experiences into the genre

in the promo materials they hinted that the big question the adaptation is asking is what does it mean when the promised heroine, the chosen one, looks like the enemy and has been othered all her life in her own country that she's now supposed to save? i was absolutely stoked to read that! that sounds so compelling and fascinating, but where exactly was the exploration of this question in the show?

alina never questions her relationship to ravka, or her loyalties and allegiances. yes she brings up in conversation the feeling of not belonging, but that was mostly while relating to kirigan's backstory. jessie mei li said in a recent interview that alina desperately wanted to prove she could be the hero ravka needs to be finally accepted as ravkan--nothing like that was shown in the series!

alina's shu heritage should have mattered beyond getting insulted by racists. the biggest missed opportunity, one i still can't quite believe bc to me it was a no-brainer, was BOTKIN. the one SHU character at the little palace, and alina has zero reaction to him, let alone a relationship???? it boggles my mind they did nothing with this, it truly does. on a smaller scale, what was the point of zoya calling alina a half-breed and then never resolving that? she should have at least offered an apology but a more interesting thing would have been to explore that zoya HERSELF is mixed race. she's half suli! and she has a rly complicated relationship w that part of herself! ripe ground there for super compelling character exploration/dynamic!

i think a lot of this does have to do w them only getting 8 eps. the show felt quite rushed, especially the middle part. we didn't get to see alina train to use her powers, we didn't get to see her establish the important relationships at the little palace, such as w genya (rip! the most compelling alina relationship from the books) or even the darkling tbh. maybe if they didn't feel like they had to repeat the meadow flashback three hundred times they could have had more time for the main character's identity journey :|

and to go back to my tags re: mal/alina, once more, initially, it seemed like such an interesting choice that mal is also mixed race, so they were these two kids, bullied and othered, who held onto each other when the whole world was against them. but then that, too, goes nowhere--but it could have informed an interesting, difficult conflict between alina and mal. because it used to be them versus the cruel, prejudiced, unjust world of ravka, but it was okay cause they had one another. but now alina is part of that world and mal is left on the other side of it. they used to laugh at and resent the grisha for being condescending to common soldiers, for the fact that grisha were seen more valuable, but now alina is a grisha. they grew up in an orphanage, dressed in scraps and owning nothing, but now alina lives in luxury in the little palace while mal has to freeze and watch his friends die. does mal feel nothing abt that at all? does alina not question any of this as servants dote on her? why do neither of them ever question what alina owes to a country that sees her as an enemy? and that's not touching commentary on the class divide cause i know i cant get all i want lol, but getting NOTHING at all is so annoying especially since there was this constant promise of alina's racial identity being significant to the story.

Sarah Paulson’s Characters Watching a Horror Movie with their Girlfriend

Requested by @urleastfavtree: Since Halloween is coming up, could you do Sarah Paulson’s characters watching a horror movie with their S/O’s

I chose horror movies for each, but they are easily replaceable with whatever you prefer. These are shorter than my last headcanons, but I hope you like it!

Billie Dean Howard

For Billie the horror genre doesn’t have that much of an appeal. She already deals with the paranormal on a daily basis. So when she watches a movie she wants to leave that side of her life behind.

However, even though she isn’t interested in watching horror movies, she knows you love them. So she’ll tolerate them for her babygirl. Her only rule is no paranormal/supernatural movies

Even though most of those films are tacky for her and she knows they aren’t real, it hits a little too close to home and you respect that.

So you decide to go with a scary movie classic: Halloween. Even though this is an older movie and seems silly at times you watched this movie as a kid and it holds a nostalgic appeal.

Of course Billie will do anything and everything to make her darling angel happy. But she also selfishly loves how you cuddle into her at the scary parts. Holding you tight to her makes watching any horror movie worth it.

Lana Winters

Lana has an aversion to horror movies because of her past and absolutely refuses to watch any kind of slasher/serial killer movie. She feels less bothered by paranormal movies, but still won’t choose to see one.

But you ask her about seeing the movie Alien and explain that it’s not a typical horror movie with a slasher or something paranormal. She begrudgingly agrees and lets you take her to a special Halloween showing at the local movie theater.

Even though Lana keeps a brave face, when the alien bursts out of the crew member’s stomach and as Dallas makes his way through the air ducts she tenses up and holds your hand.

By the countdown of the spaceship destroying, she has moved your arms to wrap around her and partially hides behind your hands at any noise.You ask her if she’s ok and say that you don’t mind leaving if this is too much for her. 

But she shakes her head and says she wants to see the ending. Once the movie is over, Lana admits that the movie was actually pretty good, but that movie was enough excitement for her for a long time.

Cordelia Goode

Cordelia thinks scary movies are kind of silly, but she is also happy to watch them with you. While most would expect Cordelia to be the scaredy cat, you are the one hiding your face in her arms. But when she asks if you want to stop watching you say no.

In celebration of Halloween, you manage to convince your girlfriend to watch the whole Insidious series. You try to put on a brave face, but the moment you see the red-faced demon standing right behind Josh you squeal and hide in Cordelia’s comforting embrace. 

She laughs at your reaction...laughs as if not just seeing what you saw and asks if you’re sure you can handle this. You tell her it’s ok and you want to watch them all.

But by the time you finish the series, you flinch at every noise and shadow, clinging to Cordelia and not letting her go.

She holds you soothingly and suggests you watch a lighter Halloween movie before going to bed. While Cordelia doesn’t understand why you like movies that scare you, she goes along with it and will comfort her sweet girl through it.

Bette and Dot Tattler

While Dot doesn’t mind scary movies (in fact she actually kind of likes them) Bette hates horror movies. She’ll have nightmares for weeks if she even hears something too scary.

Bette is your sweet girl so you don’t ask her to watch horror movies except for one time a year: Halloween. And you have to coax her a little, promising to hold her close and give her lots of hugs and kisses (maybe some ice cream too).

So for this Halloween you pick the movie Creature from the Black Lagoon. Something about the film appeals to you and Dot loves it, smiling at you once and awhile.

On the other hand, halfway through the movie Bette whimpers she can’t watch anymore. So you hold her close and run your fingers through her hair in a soothing manner, letting her bury her face in your shoulder.

By the time the movie is finished Bette sleeps peacefully in your embrace while you and Dot talk about how good the film was. Then you both decide to reward Bette for sitting through this, by making some candy apples to appease her sweet tooth.

Sally McKenna

Ok, let’s state the obvious--Sally loves horror movies. Sometimes you and her will disappear for days watching her favorite ones. However, for this Halloween you plan to introduce her to a franchise that came out after she died.

You wait until November 1st since you both spent the day outside of the Hotel Cortez on Halloween. And that November morning you wake her up in a giddy voice and tell her you want to show her something.

Sally is confused at your cheerfulness so early in the morning, but listens. That’s when you pull out DVDs of the whole Saw franchise.

Sally has never seen them, so you pop the first one in right then and begin your movie marathon. Sally loves them for the gore and loves her baby girl even more for knowing her so well.

By the time you finish the last movie you both are exhausted of seeing bloody corpses, but Sally holds you close before softly saying that the movies gave her a couple ideas for future guests. You say her name in warning and she tells you she’s kidding, but the twinkle in her dark eyes says otherwise.

Audrey Tindall

Audrey’s reactions to scary movies is probably the most similar to Miss Sarah Paulson...aka she hates them because they terrify her. Like, a lot.

You manage to get her to agree to watching a scary movie, saying that it’s more of an adventure movie. But Audrey disagrees when you pick out the movie IT (2017 version).

That creepy painting coming to life? No. The headless boy chasing Ben only to run into Pennywise? Also no. A leper? Nope. She literally gets up and washes her hands after that. A room full of clowns? Hell no. And Pennywise climbing out of a refrigerator? Fuck no, she rebukes.

You try to keep your laughter contained as you watch her reactions, but her yelps and cursing cracks you up. By the time the movie finishes, Audrey is winded like she went out for a run and is left exhausted.

Audrey makes you check the closet and under the bed where you act like something grabs your arm (which ended with you being called an asshole as you laughed). But you hold her close when you get in bed and soothe her, promising to keep and eye on her until she falls asleep.

Ally Mayfair-Richards

While Ally has overcome most of her phobias and fears, she doesn’t like to watch things that make those resurface. Plus she doesn’t want horror movies to be around Oz.

Although you like horror movies, you understand where she is coming from and respect her wishes. However, this Halloween, after Oz goes into a candy coma, Ally says she’s willing to watch a scary movie...but nothing too scary.

So you pick out the movie Zombieland. It’s definitely gory, but the comedy makes it a lot less scary. And Ally even starts laughing at the different phrases Tallahassee says. 

As you watch the movie, you keep cuddled up together. Although Ally doesn’t say anything, you keep getting distracted by her brushing her fingers along your hip. Eventually it feels like she is trying to drive you crazy.

And even though you intended to watch the movie, you don’t protest when she starts to kiss you. Then you pull her into your lap and you both end up making love with the movie on in the background. But that treat was better. Much, much better.

Wilhemina Venable

For Wilhemina, she doesn’t like horror movies. Not because she’s scared of them, but because they seem like a pointless waste of time.

But you tease her, saying that she’s just scared of the movies but doesn’t want to admit it. At first, Wilhemina just rolls her eyes, but you tell her she should prove that she isn’t scared of these films. Otherwise you think she’s lying. So she says fine and tells you to pick out a movie

You smirk and say that you’ll do her better and choose a series: the Final Destination series. And you begin your movie marathon.

As you watch the films you giggle at Wilhemina’s critical commentary when watching each movie. And these movies are ridiculous. But when you get to the end of the last movie her mind is somewhat blown at the twist.

Then you admit that you didn’t think she was a scaredy cat, but you wanted to spend some time with her. She says that she figured, but warns that you should watch your back because now she’s reserves the right to give you a scare.
