Hi it’s Saturday and I’m suddenly really struck by the final showdown in the Mandalorian Season 2 when the Dark troopers return to the ship and just how tired and sad Grogu is during that scene

when Din tells him he will get him out of there and he just sinks against the console, drained and hopeless

because even if he can’t remember just then, this has happened before, exactly like this

people he cared about standing before him, protecting him, and falling against the assaulters.

And then---just the way he lifts his little ears then when the x wing arrives, when he feels Luke close in on them and watches him on the screens, easily cutting down the adversaries that would have been sure to kill everyone in that room-- it just hits even harder.

It was an impossible situation, one that Grogu has lived and experienced and seen the results of, and in comes Luke and turns it all around. Saves them all. Saves Grogu. Saves his Din Djarin, who would have died for him, who has been as his father and who he loves more than anyone. Luke gives him hope and I’m devastated.

The season finale and "Open the door" has such a grip on me it's been a wholedamnyear

Random thoughts 🐝💭

Colin having other men question whether he’s courting Penelope might be the first time anyone has brought that possibility to mind for him. Now that the idea of Penelope as a wife is in the back of his head, I want a scene in season 3 where Philipa has a newborn daughter & Colin sees Penelope holding the tiny redheaded baby and smiles at how happy & beautiful she looks with a baby in her arms. It could be the first time he truly considers Penelope as a woman ready to become a wife & mother.

Better yet let the scene mirror the scene from season 1 when Colin & Penelope saw Lady Trowbridge and her redheaded baby (who looked like her footman). Let’s see Colin & Penelope notice the baby crying and instinctively team up to soothe the child and it’s basically a glimpse of how they would be with a child of their own.

Maybe after the whole research project thing, MC, her dad, and the rest of the current NXX crew can go to a local shooting range:

MC's dad: You can use a gun now??

MC: Oh yeah, Artem and Luke both gave me some really good tips! When you're out in the field, you really need to know how to defend yourself.

MC's dad: Uh...

Luke: She grew up to be so scary, Mr. Dad :')

Artem: I promise I did not endanger her life, sir.

Vyn: ...sure.

MC's dad, choosing to ignore that comment: So all of you are good with firearms?

Vyn: Actually, I prefer using a bow and some good arrows, but one cannot have everything in this day and age.

MC's dad: ...

Marius: Yeah. Also, ever since I almost got stabbed, I learned that it's better to be prepared :D

MC's dad: Stabbed?

MC, nodding: That's fair, but ever since the incident in the archive room, I learned that it's better to have a good hammer around. You've got to be ready for anything.

MC's dad: Archive room?

Artem: ...maybe we shouldn't talk about the archive room incident in front of your father.

Vyn: Or should we?

MC's dad, already considering adopting the rest of his daughter's found family: Okay, okay. Stabbings and archive room incidents aside, should I be concerned?

Marius: Dunno. I mean, we're two lawyers, a secret agent, a CEO, and a psychiatrist. Should you be concerned?

MC's dad:

Marius:

MC's dad: How about you all show me how good you are with a gun first?

MC: You're so on.

Luke, already grinning: Challenge accepted, Mr. Dad >:D

Artem: I won't disappoint you, sir.

Vyn: It would be interesting to learn more about you :)

Randomly had a thought that when Luke rushes off to save Han and Leia without finishing his training in Empire Strikes Back and Obi-Wan and Yoda try to talk him into slowing down and not being so rash, TCW actually retroactively adds some extra context to that scene cause Obi-Wan himself was once in the exact same position as Luke when Maul captured Satine and now I’m going insane a bit

i like to think that luke skywalker's epic rescue in the mandalorian s2 finale, which was the most impressive thing anyone on that bridge has ever seen, was just a tuesday for him

Whatever Luke's saying sounds important, but it's a little hard for Boba to focus on the words when Luke's sprawled out on the hangar floor, the hem of his tank riding up his stomach and exposing a sliver of skin.

His fingers ache to touch, so he does; shifts over so he's straddling one of Luke's thighs and slides his hands up between the rolled hem of Luke's jumpsuit and his thin white tank.

The constant stream of mechanical nerd chatter cuts off with a gasp. Luke raises his head slightly to fix Boba with an accusing look.

"You're not even listening, are you?"

"No, no, I am," Boba assures him. "Go on."

Luke opens his mouth to continue but breaks off into a muffled moan as Boba sweeps his thumbs down, rolls them into the crease of Luke's thighs.

"Bobaaaaa," he whines. "You know I can't concentrate when you do that!"

Boba knows. It always sends a warm curl of satisfaction through his chest when Luke goes wordless under his hands, when the only words he can say are Boba's name and yes.

He hums in answer, dipping down underneath the belly of the ship to drop a kiss on Luke's waiting mouth. Luke gives as good as he gets, tangling his hand in Boba's curls and dragging him deeper into a hot, heady swirl of lips and tongues and teeth.

Luke squirms underneath him; Boba can't help but grind down into his thigh in response. He breaks the kiss, breathing harshly; Luke's eyes are blown wide, and he's flushed from his cheeks all the way down his neck to the low scoop of his shirt.

A sharp wolf whistle rings across the hangar; Boba reluctantly tears his gaze from Luke's to meet Han's shit-eating grin. They're still a little standoffish with each other, even after Boba had helped free Han from his previous employer. Good riddance to Jabba, in Boba's opinion.

Still, they were getting there. Boba joining the rebellion had helped, but Han was still wary. Leia, though, was a whole other story.

And Boba wasn't fool enough to mess with a Hutt-slayer.

"Enjoying the show?" Luke calls, and Han waves a wrench at them dismissively.

"I thought we were supposed to be workin', here!"

"Oh I'm hard at work, definitely," Boba leers, and Luke gapes at him for a moment, speechless. Then he smiles, that boyish grin gone sharp around the edges, and pushes his thigh up against Boba.

Boba gasps, hips stuttering, and Luke's not the only one who's lost for words.
