im so glad that we never get a clear picture of sophie’s background in leverage & i hope we never do. however i also really like making up various, often conflicting backstories for her in my head. perhaps they’re all backstories for an alias of hers, ones she laid to rest back in season two.

#leverageposting #leverage #sophie devereaux #particularly that one of or both her parents had to move around a lot for work & so she would change herself to fit in at every new school #or new town etc etc. and that whatever original identity she had was dropped due to some kind of really awful event and her bio family think #she’s dead. eg she got into some kind of extreme legal trouble for the first time & she faked her death & everyone she knew as a kid thinks #she’s dead too. like. astrid wasn’t the first person she left to miss/mourn her.#but also that she was a teen runaway at like age ~16 and pretended to be an adult (like. 18/19) cause theres not much you can do by yourself #as a minor like booking flights or renting an apartment. and so began her first proper alias. and she was a pickpocket until she could fund #her life fully through grifting & cons.#or alternatively her parents died when she was a teen & she was old enough to become an emancipated minor (everyone in lev is an orphan)#and she kind of just fell into crime from there bc she had no one #or perhaps she got married at 17 and realised how fucked it all was and stashed money until she could run away & leave it all behind. that’s #bc of a single vague sentence on john rogers’ blog saying she was married at 17 and in context it was quite possibly a joke or random #hypothetical example but i was like what if???? What If???????#i also like the hc that she’s trans which i’ve seen a few times #in some versions in my mind her parents were okay and in some versions they were awful and in some versions it was so complicated.#i think tara has heard one story and parker or hardison have heard another and nate has never heard any story. he’s never asked.#she is here now and that’s all that needs knowing. and sophie devereaux is her real name in any way it matters.#eliot has also never asked and she asked if he was curious once and he just asked if she was curious about What He Did and that was answer #enough for the both of them. just a mutual agreement not to ask and it actually solidified their bond.#i think she struggled for a long time about whether to tell her new family The Real Story but in much the same way we never hear her birth #name bc it’s not Her anymore… she never gives The Real Story. bc it no longer defines who she is. she’s so much more than whatever happened.#lvg

Fernando 2012 Chair Lore (source: me)

So I've been thinking a lot about Fernando sitting in this particular chair in the Ferrari garage in 2012 for [redacted] reasons:

Originally I just wanted to find more pictures of it for reference, and then went down a rabbit hole of 2012 pictures, trying to figure out when exactly the chair came to be. There's so many pictures of him in it, and it's so funny to me to imagine them hauling this super villain chair all around the world for him. And so now I'm obsessed with the evolution of it:

Pre-Chair - Australia to Bahrain:

He just had this little stool, well I should say big because it somehow still manages makes him look small. Clearly not comfortable; to paraphrase @sweatyflytrap, it's not conducive to his inner Shakespeare villain monologues

The Chair Appears - Spain

He suddenly now has this, aforementioned, super villain chair. Several things, why is it like this. It looks like a sim chair almost ngl. And then the weird plexiglass support is confusing me, like where did they get that. It furthers my narrative they just had this chair that they couldn't put in a car so they put that clear bottom on it. Anyways yes good, now he has somewhere to brood

my arts been doing bad on twtter. ive recovered in the past but i worry this time will be different. the idea of losing such a large platform makes me wonder if theres point in continuing even if i feel tremendously guilty admitting that.

as my therapist pointed out today: ppl still like my art. still when i think about it i think there are other artists for you all though. better ones have come along and better ones will still come.

im in my 20s and i haven’t really gotten a chance to live my life properly since the pandemic bc of it. still art is important to me and the idea of losing it has me feeling listless. what do i do when its been who i am for years.

im unsure tbh if im going to quit.

i draw what i like but i don’t see purpose in drawing for myself.

anyways this isnt that deep my therapist is just on leave next week and i wanna cut my hair again

JUST started a good Durge playthrough and I'm dying over my absolute little guy bard Tinfoil.

#bg3 #bg3 tav #baldurs gate 3 #(Im a tag rambler so theres a lot here-) he's got voice six and because of that I'm opting he's incredibly INCREDIBLY young #like- probably 9? Dragonborn reach 10 year old human size at 3 for them so. yeah-#human-body wise he's about 17? but he's still got so little thoughts in his head. Which is canon as well at least #not gonna romance ANYONE as Tinfoil but we're gonna all be besties.#still deciding if he'll slurp tadpoles. he gives into peer preassure very easily and is very easily bossed around.#so it depends at the moment in the cutscene i guess.#he's the group kid. i think shadowheart would mother him a lot and he looks up to Karlach A SHITTON. The blue jays have started building a nest that's right next to my balcony and I see them perfectly from my usual seat!

#i hope ill get to see some babies blue jay #but anyways its a blessing whenever they come on my balcony or when i can just see them #the back alley of my appartment is basically my backyard ok ive decided that #anyways theres a bunch of trees (AND MORE IMPORTANTLY RIGHT ACROSS FROM MY BEDROOMS WINDOW IS A LILAC TREE)#i cant even begin to explain how awesome that is to me #anyways ive been feeding the birds sporadically since living here and my downstairs neighbours have as well #so theres lots of city wild life #also the water is pretty close by i suppose that helps!#i forget i live in a “green” part of the city #le saint laurent est juste a côté #cant wait to go smoke by the fleuve during the summer #also fun Winter lore : when i was a kid i used to always call Montreal “pays pas beau” (ugly country)#i would say that everywhere i went that had no/little trees 😭😭😭😭

j need to get back into life drawing post haste

#i think im losing . construction in my art #im forgetting how to draw bodies think. idk #literlaly so annoying . its like fun when u get the hang of things but then u neglect one aspect in pursuit of another #and then have to go back and touch up that old skill to try and balance jt and theres that brief period where #eveyrthing is harmonious and then it outpaces itself again and becomes ths juggling act #overall i enjoy it . the drawing sessions but smtimes finding the will 2 get out of bed is like pulling teeth #bc i know im never going 2 walk out of there feeling satisfied but . actually idc #a lot of my pals . my friends there r a couple of decades older than me and they have the best advice tbh #randy. and donna . randy and donna and third guy whose name i forget . -> if u r satisfied at the end of a session did u rly learn anything #always want 2 improve . right right #UARHGHQHHH ill do it ill go . im scared bc i feel like it tends to artblock me #bc i start getting in my head ab what i know/see vs what i can only draw #but im sooo addicted 2 wanting to get better . i want to draw like a million people i see on here who have that great construction and #weight and anatomy and dynamism . i want to be like u . ill work to be like u ill try #and i feel like ive negelcted my basics for soo long .. i need to get ths foam shapes and a lamp .
