It's so important for us to understand that we can connect with the Gods in our own personal ways. Just because you see someone on this app with the aesthetic altars/shrines, and the routine rituals, etc. doesn't mean you need to do/have those things in order to connect to the Gods.
The Gods know. And they understand that everyone connects differently. Whether its going out into nature, or praying softly in your car before work, or giving small offerings into the earth, the Gods accept you.
It can be difficult to understand the concept that religious connection is a personal journey, not something you need to envy from someone else. Find what helps you connect, and do those things.
No matter how big or small your actions may be, the Gods love you all the same.

When they interrupt my thought process: Stay focused on your work Zahra (ugghh, don’t you hate it when someone disturbs your train of thought?) I promise you, I’m not easily distracted.
Nature and wildlife are some of the greatest guides, why?

A Nilfgaardian Bearlet with a Heavy Secret
Tumblr media
Allow us to humbly introduce another character, a silent participant in the tragedy that has befallen our merry Duchy during that fateful year. Even if he is small and modest in stature, the grave mystery he bears witness to is by far not meagre. Learn it well, no secret is insignificant enough. Sooner or later the secret one keeps will come to call and demand its due, be it fair or foul.
The bearlet, carefully produced in Toussaint, a proud paladin of the “Lands Far and Wide” series, came to Nistana’s possession as a gift from a lover. A Nilfgaardian arrived in Beauclair as a part of the new Imperial embassy. As it oft happens, proud and wary as he was, he became quickly captivated by the balmy nights, freely flowing wine and soft curls of a certain seamstress, their shade reminding him of the glory of the City of the Golden Towers he left behind ( we can not fully blame a nilfgaardian heart for such a comparison, for the capital of the Empire is a wonder to behold. One might even state, it rivals Beauclair itself! ) Yet the rich and wondrous delights of supernatural love were not all the sly man craved for…
Then, a grave in distant lands gobbled his cold plans and fervent promises alike.
Nistana brushed her woe off in due time and danced and flirted at many a masquerade as the spring bloomed again. However, the horned coquette never fully abandoned her lovers, the memory of them keeping her little heart full and alive. Even if her smiles shone as smoothly as pearls, Nistana shed a sincere tear with a striking constancy, at theTemple cemetery. The grievous fact that a final resting place of the fling, who nevertheless made her hunger purr with well-chosen compliments and strategic kisses, stung her bitterly.
Ah, his bushy and heroic muttonchopps were a shame to forget!
Then the dreamy twin remembered the surprisingly whimsical gift and made the bearlet a guardian of her memory, gracing him with the same name - “Gwydeon”. “Aep Honingen” was a bow to the heritage of the Golden Sun. And a classic tradition of fairy-tales, that graced their characters with flamboyant and metaphorical, if somewhat nonsensical, surnames. Once gentle Nistana had a secret of her own, and in her desperate naivety thought to stop the murders by preventing the Beast to prowl the streets. Weaving any excuse to keep Dettlaff van der Eretein in her company and under her honeyed gaze that pleaded “mercy!”, she brought a broken toy to his doorstep one night. The tearful bequest to save her bearlet was not a devious diversion or a mere caprice, as you know now. It was a pain of an old loss speaking. Yet let us be honest, a devious diversion it can be called too.
Perplexed as he was, master van der Eretein, could not deny the request, no matter how odd or extravagant. He had destroyed someone, who belonged to the petite succubus, it was his duty to fix something in return? Thusly he lit the candles and set to the quest of fixing the old and loyal bearlet. He was to discover that the toy had a heart. The smuggled, stolen diamonds, pure as tears… The stones were meant to provide a fortune for the unlucky dead, and an insignificant, secret fling provided the safest keep. Instead fate smiled in its irony. The famed thieves - Natanis and Nistana - were themselves swindled and walked in front of the secret, not catching even a whiff of it. Yet Gwydeon aep Honingen was destined to bring forth something more precious than any riches and diamonds.
A lasting friendship.

Environment Props Update
Using the blockout I made for the environment during the preproduction period, I started modeling the props that I needed to bring the environment to life.
Tumblr media
Fig.1: Environment Blockout
For the interior of the temple, I built the columns, for which I made two different styles of the top level columns which are more structured and have runes, whereas the columns from the centre look more organic and have the logo of the eclipse.
Tumblr media
Fig.2 Environment Props Sculpting

Fig.3: Props Textured
I also had to model the staircases on which the player would get to the temple and then to the throne. The way I modeled the stairs as sets was easier to sculpt, and it gave me a good insight of how they would look in the end. However, Because each has so many stairsteps, I had to UV unwrap each of them, which means that the resolution got really low. Implementing the feedback from my teacher and my classmates, in the future I would only model a few stairsteps, which would enable me to cover a bigger area on the UV tile, generating for resolution for each stair.

Fig.5 Stairs Textured
To showcase the ritualistic side of thetemple, I have also created an altar table with some props such as sacred beans, candles and totem, to which I will add the skulls and some books from Quixel in the final environment. Besides those, I have also modeled the pedestal from the middle of the temple, on top of which I will palce The Book of The Dead.

For the throne, I used the design from my generated canve concept with MidJourney. I tried to stay as close as possible, while also adding logic and realism to the design.

New Zealand’s THE TEMPLE, an aural entity comprised of P.K. (guitars, bass, vocals) and J.W. (drums, lyrics), play viscerally morphing and shape-shifting death/black metal of an esoteric nature. Their self-titled debut album is an impenetrable sonic monolith that encompasses six immense tracks of tectonic shifting, inharmonious, honed and focused death/black metal of crushing weight, searing ambience and immense magnitude. With the sprawling audial tapestry THE TEMPLE have laid out with their debut, the conveyance of this vision is one reflected through death worship and an invocation of plague, war, misery, and the cosmic apocalypse channelled through the spirit of misanthropic Gnosticism. #thetemple #profoundlorerecords #metal #death #deathmetal #black #blackmetal #metalhead #metalmusic #vinyl #vinyladdict #vinylcollection #vinyldecals #vinylfan #vinylgeek #instavinyl #vinylmeplease #vinylporn #vinyljunkie #vinylpassion #vinyldistribution #vinylshop #grindpromotionrecords (presso Grindpromotion Records Hq) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiK4Ys3D0h9/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

VEILING
Veiling is a practice with both ancient and modern roots. While veiling was not universally practiced by all ancient Greeks, it held symbolic and practical significance in certain contexts, particularly in relation to specific Gods, rituals, and social customs.
As someone who practices veiling more often than not, I wanted to discuss the history behind it as pertaining to the religion, and show you some examples of different veils you can use.
Historical Veiling in Ancient Greece
In ancient Greece, veiling was not just religious but was linked to societal norms regarding gender, respect, and propriety. It was common for women to veil their heads when outside the home, though men could veil as well.
Veiling also had a ritual function in religious ceremonies. Priestesses often veiled during rituals or temple service as a sign of reverence and purity when approaching the Gods. In some festivals, such as those dedicated to Demeter or Hestia, veiling was particularly significant, reflecting the Goddesses’ connection to the home, modesty, and fertility.
In modern times, we can veil during rituals or daily life as a way to express reverence for the Gods, especially when in prayer.
The reasons for veiling vary among practitioners and may include:
1. Honoring Tradition: Veiling can be used as a way of honoring ancient customs, particularly when engaging in things regarding Hestia, Demeter, or Persephone.
2. Ritual Purity: Veiling can be used as a means of maintaining ritual purity, particularly when one wishes to separate the mundane from the sacred.
3. Modesty and Respect: Veiling can also reflect a personal choice to express modesty or respect, particularly in the presence of deities or during rituals dedicated to chthonic Gods.
Different Forms of Veiling in Modern Practice
Full Veil (Himation-style): The veil covers the head and sometimes drapes over the shoulders.
Tumblr media
Partial Veiling: This veil covers just the top of the head or wearing a scarf. This can be a less formal or everyday expression of devotion, often used in daily prayers or minor rituals.
Tumblr media
Face Veiling: In some instances, particularly in rituals involving the chthonic deities, one may veil their faces in addition to their heads. Sometimes known as Tegidion, This is done to show humility or to protect oneself spiritually when interacting with Gods associated with death or the afterlife, like Hades or Persephone.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
God-Specific Veiling
Veiling can be done as a specific act of devotion to certain Gods. For example:
- Hestia (Goddess of the hearth)
- Demeter and Persephone (Goddesses of agriculture and the underworld)
- Hekate (Goddess of witchcraft, crossroads, and the underworld)
As always, I can discuss this more in depth if anyone would like :)

I don’t think they got the memo: Think, BIGGER #Iain’tfromaroundhere #galaxyz #dontblink

The template for the temple, when it comes into alignment, leads one towards divine wisdom and guidance.
I’m always impressed by the “wisdom” of King Solomon, some remember him as a man that had many wives and concubines, or as the man who shared a great love with the desert born Shulamite girl, a love that we know as the “Song of Songs.” Some remember him as a great mage, even one who was given great power over, men, angels, and demons. Some also remember him for his great wealth, it was said “ that the half of which has not been told.” Others, revere him as a great builder , he built the temple of the Lord in 7 years and his own home in 13 using only the best materials, taking great care.
Today, I honor the irreplaceable value of divine wisdom. What caught God’s attention (and mine) was Solomon’s simple request, when given the chance to be blessed with anything he desired, Solomon, simply asked for the wisdom to rule over the people of God’s/ his kingdom in a just, fair and honest way, because of that he was blessed with all the rest. That awesome request for wisdom and discernment unlocked the door to everything else.
“To be as wise as a serpent & as gentle as a dove, what a testament to God’ s Great Love”
How can you be wise, if you have never desired wisdom? #ancientwisdom #aboveallelse #theheartofSolomon #thetemplate
