thinking abt my superpowers au again and about the Chosens (Tommy, Tubbo, Ranboo, Jack, Fundy) meeting the Syndicate (Techno, Ranboo, Phil, Niki) via their mutual member and teaming up to save the world from alien invasion or whatever it’s hilarious to imagine because the Chosens are like a gaggle of powered people from various different factions uniting to be the Avengers of this universe but they’re just so extremely unprofessional about it lmao meanwhile the Syndicate is VERY professional they have proper secret identities and aliases and a top secret headquarters and wear masks so their faces aren’t identified and they have their Eyes (Ranboo) back at hq to hack all the security cameras around them on a mission and contact backup if necessary and all that jazz

so like (snippfic time bois);

Tommy blinked and glanced around the roof the Chosens were assembled on, raccoon ears flicking and pricked for noises. Jack’s hand was to his earpiece, trying to hack into any signals that went their way, Fundy was tapping his foot nervously, and Tubbo was sliding his stingers in and out, waiting.

“Ranboo, are they coming? You said they were very punctual or whatever.”

The tall man tried an apologetic smile and tapped his comms, tugging on the edge of his jacket and running his hand through his black-and-white hair anxiously.

“Uh- h-hey, you guys on your way yet? You said you’d be here by now...” He murmured.

There was a crackle of a response through the communicator and Ranboo stiffened, green eyes going wide. Jack flinched hard, rubbing his temple and cursing something about static screech.

“Well, what is it-?”

Ranboo opened his mouth to reply, but cut himself off, jaw going slack.

Out of nowhere, a man in king’s dress fell from the sky, landing flawlessly with one fist to the ground, cracking the concrete roof, one arm stretched out with a 4 foot longsword shimmering and glinting in the light in his clawed grip.

To the man’s left and right, a woman completely made of fire and a man with massive black wings and a dark, forest green supersuit landed in similar pose.

The first person slowly rose to his full height of 7-foot-4, scarlet cloak billowing around him in the wind, pink hair pulled into a low ponytail. His face was covered in bristly pale pink fur, curved tusks protruding from his mouth. His eyes glowed blood red.

On his left, the woman of fire rose as well, the flames dying down to reveal an ash-white supersuit with vents all over it that randomly spewed fire, a soot-gray cowl around her shoulders. The cowl had a mask pulled up to her mouth, and her eyes and hair were made of pure fire, and her clenched fists flamed.

On his right, the winged man rose too. He was wearing a black tailcoat over a dark green supersuit with a red heart on the chest, and he was barefoot except for bandages around his feet. He too wore a mask that covered his mouth and nose, a green visor covering his eyes and a green-and-white-striped bucket hat was on his head, his golden blonde hair in a bob cut. His hands each held a black katana.

The Chosens’ eyes all went wide and round as moons, and Tommy drew a sharp breath, Tubbo mouthing “oh”.

The pig cleared his throat and stepped forward, golden and bejeweled crown glittering.

“My name is the Blood God. These are my associates,” He gestured to the fire user, “Nemesis, and,” He gestured to the winged man, “The Crowfather.”

Tommy shakily took a breath.

“I- I’m, uh, I’m the Raccoon, and, um, this is the Bumblebee an-”

The Blood God snorted and rolled his eyes. 

“Yes, yes. Everyone knows who you are. Very nice code names, so intimidating. Anyways-”

The pig glanced over to Nemesis and made a circling gesture with his finger, then over to the Crowfather and made a slight chopping movement with his hand.

Both Syndicate members nodded wordlessly.

“-why did you ask for us?”

Tommy swallowed hard and looked over to Ranboo.

“Um- Ranboo said you could help us.”

The vigilante raised an eyebrow and turned to Ranboo. He held out his hand for a handshake, which Ranboo accepted.

“Sic Semper Tyrannis.” He hissed, which the suited man repeated softly.

Tubbo and Tommy shared a look, as did Jack and Fundy, who were watching nervously and silently.

The Blood God turned and looked Tommy up and down.

“Maybe we can. I trust who Ranboo trusts- usually, at least.”

The Crowfather nodded, crossing his arms.

Fundy piped up.

“Uh-um. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to ask this, but, uh, are we on a first-name basis? Or are we just going by superhero names?”

Nemesis chuckled, and Crowfather rolled his eyes under his visor. The Blood God arched an eyebrow and shrugged.

“Aight... Crow, mind making sure no one’s keeping this recorded for me?”

Crow nodded, then tapped a button on his temple and went silent for a moment, before giving his leader a thumbs-up.

The Blood God crossed his arms.

“You can call me Techno. Crow over there is Phil, and Nemesis is Niki. Try to spit one word of that to the press and I’m afraid that this city’s government is gonna get taken down by a certain group of dedicated anarchists.”

Phil and Niki both pulled their masks down, the former turning his visor off and the latter letting her hair turn back to its normal dirty blonde, eyes becoming dark brown.

Techno tapped his crown and winced.

“I’d suit down too, but I just put this gods forsaken thing on, and it’s not gonna come off till we start killing things.”

Ranboo, Niki, and Phil laughed, smiling. Phil patted his friend on the back with a wing.

“Aw, it’s okay mate. we’ll find some Eggheads for you to beat up later- as long as you don’t get yourself beheaded again.”

“ONE. TIME!” Techno grumbled, scowling.

“Two times, and an almost-time.” Phil corrected smugly.

Niki had to cover her mouth with her hand, shaking with giggles.

The Chosens were all very clearly in shock.

s2 is where the gang finally find out they’re not the only ones w abilities, right? like they don’t know about the whole ‘43′ but they have an inkling. so: an au where lila STAYS, and after all that shit w the commission, the family gets back to the present and the next hyperfixation is to try and find these other super-powered people. (none of that sparrow academy shit alright - ben’s still hangin around - let me have my self-indulgent au where these kids catch a fuckin break)

It’s been a few months. The family takes in Lila as one of their own, but it’s stilted. Like a puzzle piece forced into the wrong space, made to mesh and fit in an image it doesn’t belong to. Everyone’s got their own shit to deal with after the time jump and very little time to make the effort to trust her. Five doesn’t even bother, and Luther’s inclined to agree with him. But that’s okay. They’re like her, in that they’re not normal. They’re all so laughably not normal. It’s so funny she cries. 

But she has Diego. Which is all Lila really cares about at the end of the day. They’re working through things. Things she put him through. Things he needs to let go. Things they need to talk about. Little by little, they make it work. No more secrets, not with each other. They love each other too much for all that pain, all over again.

But that’s family politics and emotional healing aight back to the romance. Listen ok maybe Five does his freaky investigation shit, maybe he digs up whatever records he can find of unnatural births on October 1st, 1989. Maybe he finds one of these unnatural kids and tracks em down to a flower store downtown - closer than any of them could’ve imagined, practically in the Hargreeves’ backyard. The owner is kind, pleasant. Boring, in Five’s words. You don’t seem anything out of the ordinary.

But even with a modest little greenhouse out back, you’re still in the middle of the city. With smoke, fumes, pollution. How are the leaves that healthy? How are the flowers that vibrant? How is it, that in your shop, no plant ever really seems to die? The flourishing life your shop fosters is beautiful, but uncanny. 

And yeah, sick of being treated like a knife in the back waiting to happen, maybe Lila volunteers for recon. To get away for a while. Some part of her is desperate for a mark, itching to get back to what she’s good at. Especially since the last one went... awry. 

Since they won’t trust her to go it solo, Diego gets dragged along as a handler supervisor. Perhaps because he’s the only one they think she won’t harm. Idiots. She’d never, not her boy. Not after the Kennedy clusterfuck. So Diego goes along, and to her surprise he’s actually looking forward to it. He knows the urge to stick to a lead like your life depends on it. He’s been that person before. God, he still is.

A honeymoon, she croons in his ear, and he snorts. His hand sliding into hers brings a grin to her lips and a warmth to her cheeks.

Out of all of them, Lila’s the least recognisable. She’s learnt how to blend in, how to appear innocuous. How not to appear at all. So she slides into the florist’s with ease, just another customer. And maybe the little gardener is cute. You smile at Lila like she couldn’t do anything wrong. You see her as a person, rather than a ticking time bomb. Your face falls meekly as Lila tells you she’s buying flowers for her boyfriend. You look so pretty when you’re flustered, scarcely breathing as Lila traces the smear of soil on your cheek, tucks that errant lock behind your ear. Oh, if only you knew.

Debriefing takes longer and longer as the days go on. Lila tells Diego with giddy excitement how you hum while watering the succulents, smile at the blooming buds like you’re proud of them. How you listen to Lila like she’s the only thing that matters and how your laugh sounds like the first break of spring. And Diego might take some convincing, but he can’t help but feel somewhat enamoured with the gardener. The idea of you, at least.

Falling for your mark. It’s so cliché.

Even so, Lila gets to know you. So does Diego, living vicariously through surreptitious surveillance and Lila’s own love-struck recounts. 

Maybe they break protocol a little. Lila takes you out for coffee, learns your order. Learns that the care you attend to your plants with is applied to just about everything in your life. Including her. Maybe Diego begins to join you, discovering that all the hiding and sneaking around was pointless because the name ‘Diego’ doesn’t mean anything sinister to you. ‘Hargreeves’, though, they don’t mention. Not right now. You’re kind, not stupid, and if you do have the abilities they suspect, then any mention of the mythic family will send you running for the hills.

While Lila’s in the bathroom, Diego throws a light jab. Just to test the waters. Maybe you counter with something quick and cutting, raising a brow. And oh, how his heart flutters once he finds out you have thorns. Diego falls quicker than he realises, your sweet half-smile taking hold of his heart just like Lila’s sharp grin did, way back in ‘63. He decides, then and there, that Five doesn’t need to know about this. None of the others do.

Maybe they break protocol a lot, and show up at the flower shop one day, asking you to sit down. No more secrets, they remember. Not between them, and now, not with you. They tell you a story of cruel parents, superpowers and lonely children. Of death and rage and destruction. Of the apocalypse, which never happened yet apparently did, and how you died, a speck amongst billions. Of falling down a rabbit hole to the 60′s, and falling all the way back again. They tell you who they are, who they think you are, and why they showed up in the first place.

Five definitely doesn’t need to know about this.

It’s... a lot. You need time to process, and they understand. They don’t like it, but Diego’s not Sir Reginald and Lila’s not the Handler. So they leave you be, thinking that’s that. Their florist, yet another mistake made by The Umbrella Academy, left in the dust. You feel confused and betrayed and heartbroken for a long while. Radio silence.

Until things get better. 

You show up at their apartment one evening, weeks later, holding a potted un-sprouted bulb, panting at the doorstep like you ran all the way there. They let you in without a word. You set the flowerpot on the table and god, you talk more than they’ve ever heard from you in one sitting. It’s rambling, not all that eloquent. But they understand what you’re saying, eyes softening at your misguided panic.

And then — shyly, as if they could ever deny you anything — you ask if they want to see. (It takes Diego’s elbow in her side to get Lila’s mind out of the gutter.) You dip your fingers into the soil, frowning gently in concentration. There’s a familiar pins-and-needles sensation in your fingertips, flowing through your nerves and into the moist earth. Absently, you worry if it’ll even work. These two have a tendency to throw you off guard.

But lo and behold, the dormant bulb unfurls before their eyes in a matter of seconds, springing forth a fresh green shoot, and a moment later, a starburst of golden petals.

Walker- 1x04 ~spoilers~

I know i’ve said this a dozen times...but Walker just keeps getting better and better and better! With every. single. episode. I loved everything about this episode so much and again! Jared live-tweeting it was the best!!! I watched this episode at 3 am lats night again help.

OK SO CRDIREZ BEAUTY EPISODE!!! YES! I loved loved loved loved the development of their friendship in this episode SO MUCH! 

First scene Cordirez and them badass rangers catching bad guys together YES!!! Walker trying to find out Micki’s middle name is so cute pls. 

I really enjoyed the case they worked here as well. It was both deep and emotional and that twist! YEPPPP SIGN ME UP.

THE BAR SCENE WITH WALKER AND MICKI. AGAIN THEIR FRIENDSHIP! The episode title fit so well here and I’m glad Micki and Walker have really reached a good understanding on a friend and partner level. THEY\RE THE CUTEST PLEASE I LOVE THEM.

I really adored the tiny exchange between Stella and Walker. Speaks volumes of how much they’ve progressed since the pilot. Walker and Stella’s dynamic I ADORE so seeing them at really good terms is just beautiful.

-I love how this show is really taking the time to address the difficulties someone like Micki- A Female Latina would go through- the sexism, blatant disrespect and disregard. Micki’s character is also something that’s very well written and acted(Lindsey ily) and portrayed extremely well. One of my favorite things about Walker is how he really trusts Micki, views her as an equal, and wants to earn her trust, not demand it. It’s perfect(cordirez breakdown time). Micki is also slowly letting her fences down around him and it’s a huge and very delightful to see step. I love and adore their friendship and chemistry so much. 

MICKI SPEAKING IN SPANISH IS AN OFFICIAL TURN ON FOR ME BYE.

Success!!!! The Micki and Walker and Larry scene at the end was so cute! I like how they’re actually invested in their jobs and want to do good it’s so heartwarming.

That last scene with Walker and his mom was so touching. Walker’s relationship with his parents is so sweet. His mom hugging him and comforting him when Walker said he missed emily so much *cries* I just wanna hold him please. 

August being worried for his father’s happiness I JUST. YOU SWEET BOY. I really think messaging Twyla was a baaaaddd move though.

WALKER AND AUGUST SELFIE. The way Walker so easily just picked his son and brought him to him, made him family photographer and that scene. THE BEST. 

I genuinely don’t think anything happened between Twyla and Walker. But we’ll have to see.

oKAY SO. Captain James??? It’s just an on and off thing. Do I trust him? Do i don’t? Why did he take those surveillance vids out??? I trust Liam with it and i’m glad he’s looking into it and all. Hopefully it doesn’t backfire badly. I have a very bad feeling that James had something to do with Emily’s death.

THAT STELLA AND BELLE INTERACTION. SO CUTE. Stella giving that jar of jame to try and make up and Belle being all cute and funny I love them. For a sec i was so scared Belle might yell at her but I’m very happy to see that they’re going strong despite all the circumstances- Belle’s parent’s deportation.

ALSO TREVOR IS SO HOT??? I like him and Stella they’re cute. Stella so obviously has a huge crush on him and they ride horses so well together. HHAHAHAH THAT DANCE STELLA DID WHEN HE FOLLOWED HER ON INSTA. SO RELATABLE.

The last Tricki scene mY HEART. ‘’you wanted a hero so you drew one. then you became one’’ Micki is going to be such an inspiration I love her. And the way they interacted, Trey getting a job!!! And Micki’s excitement, THEIR HUG!!! ‘’hugging is one of my superpowers’’ TREY BARNETT I LOVE YOU.

THAT LAST SCENE WHY LEAVE IT LIKE THIS. WHAT IS HAPPENING WHY DOES WALKER OR DUKE APPARENTLY HAVE TO GO BACK.

Anyways! As you can see the entire episode was so enjoyable and I loved it. The best part of this was definitely the Cordirez friendship development and i cannot wait to see where it goes from here!

Speculation/Thoughts for Episode 5:- So it’s for sure that Walker is going back undercover as Duke who’s a baseball...person? Idk he was wearing a baseball hat so :) Walker’s past is now very much mixed in with his present and I AM SCARED. What he’s doing is yet to be revealed but Tywla is coming back and that will just. mess. things. up. The scene in which Walker is yelling at August GOD SO NOT READY FOR THAT. It feels like him and his kids might go back to how they were before. I really don’t want that to happen. Also why am I expecting a major cliffhanger. 

HEY BUT THERE’S SHIRTLESS WALKER AND! MICKI RIDING THAT MECHANICAL HORSE IN A BAR OR SMTH AND MORE INSIGHT INTO WHAT TREY IS DOING SO IM VERY EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

And it’s going on hiatus. Idk how to deal with that. :(
