thinking about how buck ripped eddie's shirt open in 4x14, and thinking about how functionally (clinically) unnecessary that was because all he needed to do was put pressure on the wound right. that was the main point, he just needed to staunch the bleeding long enough to get eddie to the hospital alive.
but there's something about buck literally tearing the last barrier between him and eddie's bare skin, about him reaching for the proof that eddie's still alive under his hands, and there's something about him purposely staining his hands with eddie's blood to keep him alive, and of him making sure he's the one to do it. and there's something about seeing the raw gunshot wound, and feeling the edges of it under his palm even with gauze between them.
and then there's something about buck's other hand not even being able to touch eddie's face, even though it's completely poised as if he's about to cup the side of eddie's head. a little like feeling he doesn't deserve to touch eddie gently while he's causing him pain by pressing the wound, idk.
now an argument could be made that maybe he was trying to prevent the shirt from getting stuck in the wound, or he was using something sterile to put pressure, but this is tv, and immediately after eddie's taken into surgery, we see someone else that's been shot, putting pressure over her wound by herself, through the shirt.
anyway just thoughts about buck tearing eddie's shirt open, reaching for eddie's vitality and staining himself with it ◡̈

I present for your consideration:
The Love Languages of the Demon Crowley and Aziraphael
(Mostly in season 2)
Crowley:
Acts of Service
Lets Aziraphael take the car
Always helps his beau
Looks after the bookshop so well
Creating whole quadrants of the Universe with absolute glee
Shelters Aziraphael from the falling stardust
Bonus!
Makes Jim hot chocolate
Literally all the saving of humans all the time
Quality Time:
"We're gonna need some US time "
Always taking his Angel out on dates for food and wine (their respective faves)
Low whistle - gestures - table for 2 waiting for a little break from all that hard meeting organising
Clearly craves Aziraphael's company throughout all of time so they keep 'bumping into each other'
Aziraphael
Physical touch:
You know the ones! He can't help but touch Crowley any chance he gets
The Angel just wants to be held so badly
Word of Affirmation:
Always telling his Demon he's good and nice and kind
I've lost count of how many times he says this and I really think Crowley laps it up! Despite always denying it
"I need you!"
Face lights up in joy whenever Crowley compliments him
If you're into the Love Languages (I just think they're a bit of fun) you might argue that part of their problem is they aren't aware of each other's preferred Languages so each goes in satisfied in their relationship. Perhaps an exception with Words of Affirmation I think they both make an effort with that one.
Please do add your own!

one of the funniest things about the whole 'akane is the worst fiancée' argument is how everyone always says she can't cook or sew or is 'violent' (which is even funnier since this is a slapstick romcom) but they never take into account her taking care of ranma or anyone else or that she is kind and funny and goofy and fun and a teenage girl
it's almost like people think the only thing a woman can provide in a marriage is her skills as a cook, seamstress, and her ability to make the 'man' feel good .. like, they are literal teenagers, relax lmaoooo
ranma and akane are teenagers who become friends and slowly fall in love with each other (true love cause it is a romcom manga after all) ... and the most important thing about their story is how everyone expects something of them and they finally meet someone who actually SEES THEM (faults and all) and they WANT to be with each other simply because it's nice to be wanted without having to be someone they are not
(also it is my headcanon that akane does learn how to cook as she gets older but when she marries ranma, he takes over the kitchen duties because he likes cooking for akane like a good housewife/husband)
LITERALLY idk why ppl expect her to be a 50s housewife 🤪 and the idea that maybe ranma likes her not just in spite of, but BECAUSE she’s a tomboy is so baffling to some ppl
Like sure. Ukyo and shampoo are also martial artists, and on a very surface level they’re “nicer” to ranma (as long as he’s doing what they want…) They’re much quicker to be affectionate and show off what Wifely Skills they have or whatever, but its very clear they don’t care about taking the time to get to know ranma and are just attracted to the version of him in their heads
Akane’s the one who has stuck by him this whole time, even protecting him from kuno at the very start of the series despite heavily disliking ranma. She patches him up and fights alongside him and shares her thoughts and problems with him and lets him do the same, and they grow to love each other because of who the other person is, not what they can offer. Idk why ppl think he’d be happier if akane was a doormat instead of an actual person who challenges him to be better
(also…ranma’s taste is very clearly tomboys lmao)

hello. everyone avert your eyes as i go into overthinking mode. idk. something rlly fucks me up abt the way sol quietly and resigned goes "but this isnt really you" and "okay" (at like 38 min 45 seconds or somethign. and then when they attack him sol has the alert feat and cant be surprised. hes not surprised. is it even a betrayal if you knew this was the way it had to go down. sol sees two versions of swag in his challenge room and is already steeling himself for what he has to do. anyway. obviously this is very small and insignificant . BUT. idk. with these themes of hope & potential vs denial & refusal vs acceptance & resignation. man it fucks me up okay. sol started out being so naive and openly trusting. now sols just mad at the world.

I like old things. Old things means they've survived the test of time, they're still standing, or working, or fulfilling a purpose they've been made to do. I like old furniture, clothing, buildings, cutlery, pots and pans, mugs, anything old is immediately respected and beloved by me.
It also means no new resources had to be spent on making new things, because this old thing has done such a great job! It's made from resources created ages ago and still kicking, making those resources last a long time. It also means it's likely been made before the age of late capitalism, so it's likely made with heart; the quality is good, it was made to be practical and lasting, it's not going to fall apart easily, it's purpose wasn't to fulfill a need that didn't exist before the marketing team manufactured it. It's reliable, purposeful, protecting the environment and saving the new resources for as long as it lasts.
However, old things something can look a little ragged and worse for wear. They can make you seem like you can't 'afford' new things, which is terrible, to be viewed in this poor, moneyless manner. They are not made to fit aesthetic of every other item in the room, or in the environment. They don't fit the color scheme you have in the room, if your room has one. They remind you of the old times when you didn't have much of new stuff, and maybe that was a sad time for some people. Maybe they invoke pity in people who have learned to associate 'old things' with poverty.
But I don't care! I liked the old times when things were lasting, and practical, and nobody had much new things, so we had to invent ridiculous ways to play with our old stuff. I love seeing old things in use and knowing that nothing was wasted creating this, there's a tree growing somewhere that won't be cut to make a new one, there's plastic that won't need to be melted and molded and last a few years before it's dispersed into the environment. Old things being used helps the planet keep going so I love them regardless of their aesthetic or color scheme. When did it become so important for everything to look nice, instead of it being the best scenario for everyone's well being? Maybe I look a little scruffy but I know what I'm about. Impressing other people with the amount of new stuff that I could potentially have will never trump the satisfaction of me knowing that my old stuff is thriving together with the environment.
