50 Plus Size Y/N Prompts
When I was looking for an inspiration for a Nanami x chubby Y/N fic I realised that crushing majority of prompts and ideas are related exclusively to hurt/comfort or are drenched in extremely low self-esteem and lack of confidence. So, decided to put together my own list, covering a variety of situations from mundane and domestic to sensual and sexual. I based the ideas on my own experience as a fat person, so I'm aware they won't fit everyone, but I hope those can give you inspiration to explore in your creative work ❤ Of course, prompts are left to individual interpretation!
Tumblr media
cw: some prompts are more gendered than the other, some are suggestive or addressing a strictly sexual situation
Leaving hickeys on thick thighs.
Wearing bigger partner's clothes. Bonus: bigger partner is not the chubbier one—it's the chubbier partner who gets to wear bigger clothes
Loving tummy kisses.
Lovingly or teasingly tracing fat rolls and love handles.
Nuzzling into soft chest or tummy for comfort.
Thick thighs save naps because they make the best lap pillow.
Fat person being picked up and/or carried around, no hassle, no protests of being too heavy, just sheer joy. Bonus: it's one of those crazy strong characters so they literally pick Y/N as if they were a doll.
Them being a personal heavy breast holder with built-in enthusiastic massage option.
Back massages because we all know that big chest weights way too much.
Ticklish kisses in the jaw area because they find the double chin cute.
Adoring to feel Y/N's weight in their lap.
Plus size lingerie. Them buying it for Y/N or Y/N showing off in it.
The way Y/N's chest/ass/thighs/tummy bounces during intimate times. It drives them crazy. Bonus: they're being ridden and enjoying every second of it.
Being in absolute awe of Y/N's figure.
Hugs from behind that do not necessarily end up with a full arm wrap but that's okay, one possibly can't envelop their whole universe.
Pulling Y/N closer so they can feel their big ass better.
Work out or a sport activity that's not related to weight loss or diet. Just enjoying active time together.
Finding it difficult to sleep without Y/N because they miss the body they can embrace and/or the warmth it gives.
Stimming or teasingly playing with Y/N's softer parts.
Foodie dates. Testing new places, taking tons of photos for their food instagram, feeding each other cute desserts, stealing the best pieces—or contrary, leaving them for their partner.
Y/N loves to eat and their love adores it because they have someone to enjoy their cooking.
Both them and Y/N love to cook and eat. A friendly rivalry over feeding the other better.
Tons of photos of Y/N and selfies with them. Every moment has to be caught on their camera. Bonus: they are a celebrity or social media persona & they love to show off with Y/N's photos.
Daily affirmations, soft words and touch related to body type, all those compliments and smooth lines.
Reminding Y/N to eat because no, the "fat supply" won't make up for a good meal, they have to eat regularly.
Gender affirmation when the fat body type sometimes can make it difficult for Y/N.
The shared celebration of gender euphoria when Y/N finally finds a way to nicely flatten and shape the chest.
Choosing Y/N because they are fat. Them being into bigger people and actively choosing them over people with different body types.
Seeing Y/N naked for the first time and going absolutely crazy about it.
Tracing and kissing stretch marks.
Yoga pants effect. The curves just look so good in them.
Looking together for a good supporting bra.
Loving when Y/N is wearing a crop top.
Encouraging Y/N to wear more close-fit clothes Bonus: there is absolutely no perverted reason behind it ;)
Supporting Y/N through weight gain or weight loss.
Enjoying a beach date. Every body is a good beach body if it has a cute beach wear on!
Scratching/washing Y/N's back because sometimes it's just hard to reach that stubborn spot.
Muscular body type partner x fat Y/N. Big partners solidarity!
Discussing together a new tattoo idea. Choosing the best placing for it. Bonus: it's a tattoo composed to fit nicely with fat rolls or stretch marks.
Helping Y/N shave the back of their legs or any other hard to reach part of their body.
Insisting on keeping Y/N's thighs close to their head during oral sex.
Treating rash/burn caused by friction between thighs, bra or other piece of clothing.
Shibari or harness on a plus size body.
Picking up the self ironic negative talk and turning it into something positive
Being proud of Y/N, showing them off whenever there's an opportunity.
Y/N posing them for a photo, painting or a sculpture. Bonus: Y/N is their muse.
Warming hands between Y/N's thighs. Bonus: maybe their cheeks or ears feel cold too ;)
Them wearing Y/N's shirt for comfort. Bonus: it's not a typical over-sized comfort piece of clothing but a perfect fit. They still insist on wearing it.
Hand and bite marks on ass and hips. Bonus: loving aftercare.
Doodling/painting on Y/N's body: thighs, arms, ass… Bonus: it's a part of a spicy play.

Thinking about how Shamane and Kaalaa's stories are both about the acceptance of nature in different ways. Shamane has to learn about the rules of actual nature and the wild, and has to learn to live with it rather than go against it. While Kaalaa has to accept the true nature of a person she's known for most of her life, and how she has to stop ignoring all of the obvious signs pointing to this person being kind of terrible to not only the people around her but herself.
They were both willing to close their eyes to what was in front of them, because deep down they're both stubborn individuals, but they learn to slowly overcome that through extreme adversity. For Kaalaa she was already an extremely humble person, something that Kumar lacked incredibly, so the thing she earns from her experience isn't a new perspective on life, it's a bittersweet realization where she finally comes to terms with the fact that the person she has loved for all of her life was never the kind of person she wanted them to so desperately be. And in a way she gets to properly grieve this person who has by all means been dead for years (not literally but you know what I mean, like the idea that she built of Kumar had died when she was a child and she hadn't realized it and yeah-)
Shamane and Kaalaa are very similar in this regard, and I love all of their interactions in the Mor Pankh event. They have so much in common like the way their stories are so similar and the way it makes me just think more about this one month long event (Mor Pankh is my favorite event so far can you tell)

I am once again having a thought™ and I just went on a full-on rant to a friend, thought I'd share my thoughts with y'all to see if anyone agrees.
Yes, it's about Hadesgame Patrochilles, buckle up.
Currently reading the Iliad, I noticed that not only are Achilles and Patroclus extremely well-written in Hades (that we're all aware of, I think), but also that there are many many layers to their relationship and the one they have with Zagreus.
First thing that hit me while reading the og Patrochilles and how they're written is how drastically different they are in Hades compared to their original alive selves. They're basically each the complete opposite of what they were when they were alive: Achilles, once prideful, arrogant and impulsive, once his rage was appeased, now became wise, patient, calm, an actually good mentor to Zagreus, in whom he must see a lot of his younger self. Patroclus, on the other hand, once famously gentle and kind, became bitter and dismissive. That can easily be explained by the fact that decades and decades alone after death can drastically change someone. Achilles, so guilty about what his pride did to Patroclus, matured and became wiser; and Patroclus, because of years alone abandoned, lost his faith in the glory of war (and in Achilles).
They basically became the opposite of what they were when they were alive, because of years of loneliness and longing and reflecting on this war they were a part of.
BUT THAT'S NOT ALL GUYS. When you dig a bit (mostly by chatting with Achilles and listening to Patroclus ramble to himself), you learn that what made them mostly change, aside from the circumstances of their deaths, is their longing for each other, and that despite all that change, they both retain the ONE TRAIT that caused their deaths.
Achilles, even in death, remains unbelievably stubborn, unshakable in his decisions (or in this case, his decision to stay away from Patroclus so that he can rest in Elysium) until Patroclus (through Zagreus) manages to shake him out of it.
And Patroclus, ever so bitter and depressed Patroclus, remains deeply kind and generous. He broods there in his glade, but when Zagreus shows up, polite, just passing by, in need of help, Patroclus offers him what little he has to keep going.
It drives me insane to see that after dying, Patroclus is the one who became impulsive and ready to 'risk it all', because he simply has nothing left to lose. Meanwhile, Achilles, so scarred by Patroclus' death (caused by him and his hubris and his pride), is terrified of risking anything, because the one thing he has left to lose is Patroclus' place in Elysium, and he simply can't bring himself to understand that Patroclus wants to be by his side anywhere rather than alone up there.
And they could have never reconciled without Zagreus' intervention. Because somehow, Zagreus is a mirror of both of them, in his own way.
And because on top of being impusilve and stubborn (like Achilles) as well as kind and caring (like Patroclus), Zagreus is the one guy down here, the only one who fights against his fate with all his goddamn might.
Because he wants to see his mother. He wants to find his place in this world. He wants to be acknowledged and respected. So he fights, against the Fates themselves (by just being alive, he does, I'll remind), against Hades, to get what he wants. Achilles and Patroclus both succumbed to their own destinies in the worst way. Of course it would resonate with them.
Maybe I'm thinking too hard about this. But there are so many parallels to draw here! Think about Achilles, who practically raised Zagreus, instructed him in myths, history, combat and arms. Seeing this kid, a prince, gifted for combat, craving for recognition and respect? That would ring a bell. And Zagreus is already a dual kind of person, he's the red eye and the green eye, he's the Olympian and the goddess with a mortal father. He's rage and fierceness (Achilles) and he's kindness and generosity (Patroclus).
And Zagreus hates the status quo. In his own life, and in the one of others. He does this for multiple people in Hades (Sisyphus, Orpheus and Eurydice, Hypnos and Thanatos, Nyx and Chaos...), he just can't stand people suffering when he knows there is something that could be done. He rattles the house and wreaks havoc in his father's well-ordered world, because he knows damn well he's the only one with enough balls to do it.
The thing is that if Zagreus had never intervened, Achilles and Patroclus would never have seen each other. Achilles took the first step toward redemption by giving up his place in Elysium (his glory, his pride, what he fought so hard for) so that Patroclus could stay there instead, as a way of apologizing for what he did to him and atone for his mistakes; but after that, he was left frozen in his own guilt, refusing to try and think of a way to see Patroclus again. And Pat, well... He's given up. Like how he gave up on reasoning with Achilles back in Troy. So he just waits there, even he doesn't know what for. It takes this bisexual disaster of a god to barge in and shake things up, until Patroclus finally reached out to Achilles, gives him that message (risk it all), the last push Achilles needed to finally move.
So yeah I just think they're neat-
This concludes my thought™.

so i keep referencing the What Broke Delirium essay i plan to write but never actually writing it, so let's dig into that one!
because. sandman does not spoonfeed information. neil gaiman even said this in regards to the tv show, most shows are written these days under the assumption that audiences aren't really paying attention and need things spelled out for them - but sandman is not one of those shows. you gotta notice everything to get the full story
which honestly i love in many ways because it's part of why i'm never gonna run out of sandman essays to write - every time i reread the comics or rewatch the show i catch something new
and this is one of the first hidden bits of info i caught - remember this spread from overture?
Tumblr media
it's a fucking gorgeous page and one of my favourite in the entire sandman run, both for the pretty art and the content itself (i love delirium SO much)
but let's just zoom in on the center of those flowers for a sec
because there's tiny tiny text written inside them
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(for anyone who can't parse that, the first says "delight was sad", the second says "delight went mad")
now i've mentioned in many of my posts before that the endless all struggle to experience their own aspect, they are that thing, it exists for the most part out of their reach, and that causes problems for all of them
but i usually leave delirium out of these explanations
and that's because, for whatever reason, delirium is the opposite. and delight was too. i don't know what it is that makes her different, but while her older siblings all seem to be barred from their own domain by nature (or have to go to great lengths to experience it), del is too much of it. she's utterly absorbed by it. and while i think she's learned over the centuries how to be a bit more flexible (she understands the coins have two sides thing better than any of them, and can be lucid when she needs to), she didn't start out that way
we don't know what it is exactly that broke her. but we know why.
she had spent all of her life as the personification of happiness and joy, and someone who embodied those emotions. she appeared most as a little kid as delight, because kids definitely find it a lot easier to stay in that perpetually excited, happy mindset
but nothing stays that way forever. and this is where she is like her siblings, and why she's so familiar with the coin metaphor - when you're missing a fundamental piece of being human (either by being barred from your aspect or by being absorbed by it), that's not sustainable. it will tear you apart. dream refuses to accept that this is the case, and that breaks him. desire is equally stubborn about it, and they've outright admitted (in narration) that they're hanging on by a fucking thread
but death figured it out, when she realised she couldn't fulfill her function properly without learning what it was like to live. destruction figured it out when he ran away to go create. and delirium figured it out the hard way, because as soon as the world got a little too big for her singular aspect to make sense, it shattered
and it shattered slowly
there may have been some form of inciting incident, but she didn't become delirium overnight. i think a lot about her describing it as "growing up, or at least growing older", because that's both a very mature way to look at it and also an extremely tragic way to look at it, the idea that she knows too much, is never going to see the world the same way again, and that means delight is never coming back
(and that realisation is when she stopped presenting as a child and started presenting as a teenager)
Tumblr media
and i think for a while, early days of being delirium, not delight, she didn't know what to do with that. delight broke into scattered pieces and the more fell away the harder it became to connect them
but she's also the only one of her siblings who's picked herself up from that. and it's why she's the wisest of them. because from there she learned
okay, so her innocence is gone. so delight isn't coming back. but there's still parts of her around, if delirium ever needs them. and the more she observes about the world, the more she experiences, the more different pieces she gets to add to the puzzle. they don't fit together, but that's del's real strength - they're not supposed to. she could have tried to reassemble herself piece by piece, like gluing together a broken statue, but why would she do that? then she'd be exactly as breakable as before, if not more so
instead she's more of a floating amalgamation of pieces, or rather, she's the ties between them. and because there's no set puzzle, she can put those pieces together in any order. she's no longer susceptible to the same problems as her siblings, because she's not missing anything anymore. she didn't lose parts of herself when becoming delirium, she gained some
and yes, no one is entirely without flaw - her downside is she's still susceptible to strong emotion, and when that overwhelms her mind she stops being any kind of person, we just see that floating amalgamation, until she can calm down. but that's the worst of it. her siblings may see her as broken, but she's more whole than she ever was as delight. and she's never going to break again

Can u do the stages of Dazai and Reader's relationship through Kunikida's POV like from enemy/strangers to friendship to lovers♥️
This had been on my had for days and maybe you might like this idea. Imma write this down before I go to sleep bc I'm tired af😭.
You have no idea how much I loved writing this, it was so fun. Ugh I absolutely love it!! Sorry it's taken so long so get it out, but I hope you enjoy it regardless. Come back anytime. <33
I suggest listening to lovers rock by tv girl to set a nice little mood <3
(reader is gn)
Tumblr media
Fukuzawa hadn't lied at all; you were a perfect addition to the agency. Even after just meeting you, Kunikida could tell: smart, accomplished, adept at combat, extensive knowledge in both weapons and hand to hand combat, plus a near deadly control over your ability- you were a dream. You were hardworking and on top of it all, shockingly, amazingly, seemingly immune to Osamu Dazai.
Now, you didn't dislike the man. You just weren't one to fawn over him or giggle like a schoolgirl any time he winked at you. You never really understood the girls who would fall all over themselves when he flirted with them, plus, since he flirted with anyone what was the point in giving in? To him, there were a million people like you; you were just another pretty face to him. So you made it your mission to never fall for his charms.
Unfortunately for Kunikida, neither of you quite understood how stubborn you both could be.
After three months, you found you liked him more than you thought. He made you laugh, with his stupid jokes and his antics. You found you liked being his friend. You would go out drinking with him, he would embarrass you in public until you shrieked with laughter, face burning red with your blush. He would make up nonsense songs to make you laugh and you would foil his attempts at flirting with yet another waitress each time you ate together. Quickly, you found yourself calling him your best friend- something that horrified Kunikida in quite a funny manner.
And after six months, Dazai realized something terrible- something awful, sweet, lovely and terrifying all at once. Osamu Dazai realized he was falling for you. He was falling faster than he could save himself, faster than he could stop it; he was falling for his best friend with the stunning smile, the sharp wit that would bite him playfully if he got to close, the pretty laugh and those eyes that melted him from the inside out.
Worst of all, he knew you would never believe him if he told you.
But Kunikida saw it all. He saw how Dazai's eyes would soften ever so slightly when you would walk in, how he would try to be close to you, how he would volunteer to do the most mundane tasks as long as it meant doing them with you. He saw the new way his lip would curl gently at the edges when he smiles at you, a smile different than his usual rakish grin. And god was it painful to watch. He nearly felt bad for the man, and he would if it wasn't so funny to watch. Kunikida wouldn't deny it was just the slightest bit entertaining to observe you.
Nearly a year had gone by since you had first met; nearly a year since you had promised yourself to never fall for him. Nearly a year since he had met you, clueless to the fact that you would change his life without even trying. And everyone could tell it was driving him mad; everyone, or so it seemed, except for you. A fact that Kunikida doubted to the extremes.
"They probably have figured it out by now," he muttered, sipping his drink as a moan sounded from Dazai. "They're quite intelligent, you know. Perceptive, too."
"Shut up," Dazai muttered, lifting his head from off the bar. "Don't tell me that like I don't already know it."
Kunikida shrugged. "Just checking. But in any case, what are you going to do about it?"
"That's just it," Dazai groaned. "Whatever I do, they won't believe it's real; they'll think I just want a fling or a one night stand and it would kill me to loose them over something so stupid."
"Well you'd best figure it out soon," Kunikida observed. "Time waits for no man."
And it hurt knowing he was right. It hurt Dazai, a dull throb forming in his chest because it was true; no one waited forever. No opportunity stayed open for long. So he shook Kunikida's hand, walked out of the bar, and turned for the direction of your apartment.
"Good luck, you lovestruck bastard."
//
You were alone when the knock at the door came; alone, your pajama pants sitting deliciously on your skin, a glass on wine barely held between your fingers. You felt the buzz of the stuff, warm and sweet, spreading through your body as you walked over the door, and opened it.
Revealing your best friend, panting with cheeks brushed pink from the night air. He ran a hand through his messy dark hair and you cocked your head slightly, your lips quirking up into a curious smile.
Oh that smile-
"What's the occasion for this lovely visit?"
He swallows hard, hands fiddling nervously as he tries to decide whether to move closer or not. But you choose for him, resting a hand on his shoulder, stepping so close your have to look up slightly for your concerned eyes to meet his.
"are you alright? Dazai, what's happened, is everything ok?-"
"Do you trust me?"
"What kind of question is that, of course I-"
"No. Do you trust me."
You looked into those eyes, and-
oh.
oh.
"Of course I do," you whispered.
And those were the last words you uttered before his hand lifted your face to his and his lips shaped themselves perfectly against yours. That was all you had to say before he stole the breath from your lungs with that kiss, a sigh leaving you so sweetly it made him fall for you again, more and more- he would devote himself to memorizing every sound that fell from your lips, give you every second if his life if that's what it took, as long as you promised to never take your touch away from him.
You smiled when you pulled away, lips still parted, laughing ever so slightly as you pulled him inside by the hand.
And when you walked into the office together the next morning, chatting and smiling like always, most people wouldn't have batted an eye.
But Doppo Kunikida wasn't most people. And even he had to indulge himself in smirking in the way Dazai followed at your heels like a puppy. Because even though you were not the first to fall for his charms...
you were the first to get him to fall for yours.

In Animaestro, Adrien said, "Well, I'm more of a dog person myself."
He could be lying to protect his identity... but I like this theory too.
Since the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculouses are meant to represent yin and yang, I believe the same thing applies to Marinette and Adrien.
So, Marinette is a cat person and Adrien is a dog person! :D
Other things/headcanons:
- Adrien is an early bird; Marinette is a night owl
- Adrien is always described as sunshine or the summer sky; Marinette is described as moonshine or the ocean
- Adrien is very tidy and organized; Marinette is chaotic and disorganized
- Adrien is more quiet, a listening type; Marinette is the type to overshare and give lots of advice
- Adrien prefers classical music; Marinette is more into contemporary- though they both like Jagged Stone
- Adrien is very calm and thinks about his words before he says them; Marinette thinks at a mile per minute and doesn't have much of a filter
- Adrien is a very internal thinker, meaning he processes things internally which is why he's able to develop a persona like Chat Noir very easily; Marinette is more of an external thinker, she processes things by talking to people and asking questions and needs to be surrounded by activity to process better
- Adrien is very unsure about his future and place in the world; Marinette has a lot of ideas about what she wants to do in her future
- Adrien might take a more calm and relaxed approach to life as he grows older; Marinette is more goal-oriented and ambitious
- Adrien may be good at being creative, but he draws inspiration from other artists and people; Marinette always has a unique flair in every one of her designs
- Adrien avoids confrontation whenever he can even when someone tries to encourage him; Marinette will stand up for herself and others, especially when she's given encouragement
- Adrien might not always want to talk about his feelings or talk about his issues, used to process things on his own; Marinette might want everyone to talk it out, the type who wants everything out in the open
- Adrien is extremely forgiving when he is wronged, to the point that it could be harmful to him; Marinette is more stubborn, it takes her more time to see herself in another persons shoes if she doesn't relate to them- she doesn't forgive or forget easily
- Adrien is more of the type to get sad and depressed; Marinette is the type to get anxious and worried
- Adrien is more of a follower, go-with-the-flow type of person; Marinette likes taking the lead and charge when no one else seems to
- Adrien is optimistic, and always tries to think about the best-case scenarios; Marinette is a bit pessimistic, always thinking about the worst-case scenarios and catastrophizing
- Adrien has very few, close friends and prefers it this way; Marinette always ends up making friends with a lot of people
- Adrien prefers to focus on the practical matters and issues on hand; Marinette prefers to dig deeper and understand the bigger picture
- Adrien is more comfortable with an unplanned, spontaneous approach to life; Marinette wants plans, schedules, and well-defined procedures in place
- Adrien's very graceful and can move with ease; Marinette is clumsy and lacks a good hand-eye-coordination
- Adrien finds happiness and freedom in being Chat Noir; Marinette finds it stifling and constricting at times
- Adrien refrains from making judgments about people too quickly; Marinette jumps into conclusions too quickly
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
There's more, but I can't think anymore, and it's like 3am haha. I dont mean to say that they are opposites of one another, they're actually really similar in nature and have similar values, they just might come at it differently. I just wanted to write down the differences I could think of, the contrast between the two.
"Creation and destruction are the two ends of the same moment." "Without order, nothing can exist. Without chaos, nothing can evolve."
They're a beautiful balance of each other, two sides of the same coin

Being in a love triangle with Dean and Cas
Paring: Dean winchester x reader x Castile (not destile!)
Summary: headcanons about an angel and a hunter fall in love with you.
A/n: this won the newest voting thing :)
MasterList
Tumblr media
“They're both in love with her” Sam sighed.
“my money is on Dean” Bobby said drinking his beer.
Okay... So, get ready for every single thing to be a contest. they're both extremely stubborn and even the simplest of things will be turned into a competition of who can do it better, even if Cas doesn't understand.
Since Cas is clueless about most human actions, he usually tries to copy Dean but ends up doing it in a more goofy or messed up way.
Cas wasn't supposed to fall in love with you, he's your Gardian Angel and the rules in heaven are pretty strict. He couldn't help but fall in love with your compassion and goofy personality.
You and Dean had always been on and off, he deeply cares about you and would even say he loves you, but with you both being hunters he's always afraid to lose you or he thinks he's not good enough.
Cas didn't know how to handle the feeling he's never had to deal with, every time he'd see Dean put his arm on you or flirt with you, cas would feel his fist clinch and he'd get so angry.
“I don't know what's wrong with me, my chest is heaving and... I just feel so pissed” Cas said to Sam one day.
“your either jealous or...” Sam stoped. “your not in love with y/n, are you?”
Cas didn't know, but he realized his change in adatued and thoughts. As your Gardian Angel he'd would often go with you to protect you beacuse that was his job, now he would literally push Dean to the side to go on a hunt with you.
Remember when I said you and Dean would often be off and on again? Well Cass has seen two break-ups, and this would be the only time he'd put his feelings aside. He's your best friend and he dose know when you need a shoulder to cry on.
Anyway, Dean would catch on quickly, he cares about Cas but he cares about you more. So challenge accepted.
He wasn't gonna lose you to a baby in a trench coat.
Dean is often very forward and flirty, you were used to his complements and dirty jokes. But when he realized he could use you to Cas he'd turn up the flirting to 100%, which would often make you uncomfortable... You weren't used to him acting like that.
But underneath all the flirting, he's genuine and what he's saying is true.
Suprisenly Cas would become very charming. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He loves he can easily express himself around you and learn about human life without being judged.
I also think Cas is good at knowing when to pump the brakes if he ever steps a line or goes too far. Dean sometimes doesn't and sometimes he forgets that he doesn't need to use the same tactics he used to use bar girls.
If you get hurt Cas will warp his coat around you and heal you up, if it's really bad Cas and Dean will literally start arguing.
One time it got so bad you probably wouldn't still be in this damn triangle if Sam didn't take you to the hospital.
That's when they realized that they really need to put their differences aside, it wasn't just about them, it was about you too.
“she means everything to me... I want her to be happy” Dean says to Sam. “and what if she's chooses Cas?”
“she won't... Just because he's her guardian angel doesn't mean he can make her happy”
Dean was so scared to lose you while Cass just didn't know how to express himself, there been many opportunities for Cas but he'd always chicken out.
What you hated most about this whole situation is that Cas and Dean were turning on each other. You knew they were best friends and you couldn't help but think this, no girl is worth losing your best friend over.
As it went on you got more and more attention, you didn't want that. Then Sam and Bobby's secret poll only grew more bets as time went on.
Jack was so confused, he saw you as a mom and Cas as his dad. So he really just wants you two to be together. He watched the parent trap and used some of the tactics, Sam gently told him to stay out of it.
If Dean would make you a mix tape, Cas would find an even more romantic gesture. During the time you and Dean did date he learned that you were a simple girl and didn't like fancy stuff.
Cas would go to Sam or Jody for advice. Sam would suggest flowers, expensive places while Jody would remind him to just be himself and remember the stuff your actually interested in.
He's been your Gardian Angel for years, so he knows your likes and dislikes. He was so happy when he found a copy of a novel you've been surching for, he loved the feeling of you wrapping your arms around him and cheering that you finally got the book.
“thank you Cas, your the best!”
Gabriel, who liked to stir the pot in the situation was on cas' side. He would sometimes mess somthing up for one of them or just watch one of their planes fail. This was a better love story than twilight in his opinion.
One day Cas found a ring in Dean's room, it's literally not what you guys think. Dean was his mom's and he just wanted to look at it.
Cas watched enough movies with you and thought it was an engagement ring. He felt his heart pounded, he also relized he's watched way too much TV with you. He remembered watching Grey's anatomy with you, he remembered you crying with Mark Sloan died and gave his 'if you love someone' speach.
“I wish I could experience that... A guy not caring about the consequences and just expressing he loves someone” you told him way back when.
That's when he had enough, he didn't care if Dean was there or not he's was gonna tell you. “I love you y/n... I love everything about you, even things I don't understand... I still love”
He told you to think everything through. As much as he loved you, he didn't want you making any hasty decisions or let what he said cloud your mind.
A couple of days later, Dean came to you with the same heart filled love speach after a rough hunt. “I love you... I know I don't show it much or express it, but belive me when I say your the best thing that's ever happened to me”
You had so much to think about and during that time you never felt so overwhelmed, your heart would always pound when you thought about them.
You spent almost three nights just laying awake in bed thinking about them, there was logic and there was reason.
The logical choice would be Dean, you could grow old with him and have a family. After Jack, Cas was terrified to have children with a human. Just because Dean was haman didn't make it a logical choice, but you guys been through so much. There been many night you guys spent patching up wounded parts of your bodies or cleaning up blood after a hunt.
Logically, Cas would be safer. Castile can protect you and heal you with just a brush of his thumb. Just because he was clueless doesn't mean he didn't know how to make a woman's heart pound in the best way possible. Cas knew your deepest fears and kept secrets for years, he knew everything about you.
Positive reasons would bring up the way Dean would make you laugh. Or how he could make you smile no matter how mad you were.
You though about how warm his bear hugs were and how good he smelled.
Dean was a worrior and he would take a bullet for you. You were always his main priority and you never felt that with someone before him.
Even if he didn't know how to interact with humans, he knew how to take care of you. He knew when you need to talk or need a hug. He would catch on to your Quirks, like how you'll nibble on your lip when your doing research or reading.
He'd notice the little wrinks on your forehead when your mad or laughing. He'd know all your different smiles and the meanings of them.
You love whem you hug him you'd feel his wings wrap around you.
What you might not know is Cas would give up immortality for you, he'd become human if it meant spending What humans thought forever was.
“I don't know what to do Sammy” you sighed.
“stop using your brain, what dose your heart say?” he asked. “you'll know the right decision when the time comes”
The next day you took a deep breath and walked down the bunker hallway, Cas and Dean's were right across from each other. Dean's door was beaten up and had band stickers on it. Cas was newer and had 'Cas' place' carved in it.
If you chose Castile:
If you chose him, you didn't go directly to him. You knew he was the one you just didn't know how to do it. When you finally got the courage, Sam interrupted with a paranormal case.
It was hard, you got whipped around like crazy and thrown through windows, the vengeful spirit wasn't gonna let up.
The spirit through your blade at you and it went straight to the gut. You were already bleeding and weak, so this wasn't helping.
You crumbed in Castile's arms and he started to panic. He used his trench coat to applie presher to your wounds.
“Sam! Dean! Help me!”
You coughed and placed your hand on his cheek making him look at you. His watery blue eyes looked at you with so much panic.
You smiled and pulled him closer to you. “I love you Cas... So much”
“I love you too... Hold still, I got you” he placed his lips on yours while his hands healed all your cuts and bruises.
Side note... You also adopt Jack, he finally had parents and he couldn't be happier.
-a week later...
“Balls! I lost $200” Bobby grumbled, you gave the boys a questioning look.
“you beted on us?” you asked Sam, He shrugged. “hey, at least you got $600 for your honeymoon” Sam joked, you took the notebook with all the bets written down and hit him in the head.
If you chose Dean:
You knocked on his door, he when whipped it open a smile immediately formed on his face. “hey, sweetheart”
“can we talk?” you asked softly. Dean nodded as his heart pounded, he didn't know what to expect.
“if this this about what I sa-”
“I love you” you said cutting him off.
He pulled you to his chest and immediately slammed his lips on yours, he pulled away and rested his forehead on yours. “thank God... I love you too”

I know you responded with a meme, but if you're able I'd love to hear your thoughts on harry/hermione 👀
fine. i'll scream into a pillow periodically and get through this...
obviously, i don't actually find the concept of harmony sincerely upsetting - people shipping things is never that deep, and because, as i've said before, i subscribe to the principle that any pairing is possible if you just have enough nerve. i've been recommended some harmony fics by people who are fonder of the ship, and while i've not found them immediately compelling, i do appreciate that there are plenty of people who disagree.
but my feelings are basically the same for harmony as they are for dramione: that it's never done interestingly.
harmony is - like all hermione pairings except [broadly] romione - a breeding ground for fanon!hermione, who is perfect and flawless and so clever she can solve millennia-old mysteries in afternoon. i hate this version of the character because i find her boring - it's just standard self-insert stuff, which is fine but not something i have any interest in reading. i similarly dislike the version of harry who appears in these stories, who ends up - like all men in hermione pairings except [broadly] ron - being either this impossibly sophisticated and suave intellectual with the body of a greek god or a doormat who's happy to shut the fuck up forever and do whatever she says.
[i also hate - obviously, since he's my king - the way harmony stories are often even more egregious than dramione ones in writing ron as a cruel and violent misogynist who is ontologically indistinct from your average death eater. and i think it somewhat proves my point that neither of these ships work particularly well that this character assassination has to take place in order to make them plausible...]
and i think the flattening of harry and hermione's personalities within most harmony is the main thing which keeps the ship from being interesting. because - while i certainly don't go in for the common anti-harmony argument that harry actively dislikes hermione - it's undeniable that there is a lot about the two of them which wouldn't be conducive to a harmonious [lol] relationship.
their communication styles - hermione works through problems by debating them, harry prefers not to be challenged - are the obvious one. their ways of expressing affection - hermione shows people she cares about them by nagging them and meddling in their lives, harry very much does not - are another. they have extremely different views about authority, they decompress in different ways [harry is someone who clearly needs to keep physically active to clear his head, hermione is much more of a homebody], and harry's impulsiveness is a poor match for hermione's fondness for planning.
they are also similar in ways which would cause them to butt heads. both have a tendency towards obsessiveness, which they rely in canon on ron pulling them out of. both have a significant capacity for cruelty and extremely black-and-white moral codes - harry has a tendency towards forming judgements on people and situations based on whether they are people he likes or things he benefits from [i.e. how he's appalled by dobby's treatment because his masters are the malfoys, but doesn't give a shit about kreacher's because his abusive master is sirius], while hermione tends to regard any rule-breaking she does as justified even if she'd regard it as outrageous from anyone else [i.e. her fury over harry appearing to use felix felicis to improve's ron's performance at quidditch when she herself confunded cormac mclaggen to get him onto the team...]. both have a tendency towards giving people the silent treatment when they're angry. both are incredibly stubborn...
and so on.
obviously, they also have positive qualities in common too - a shared loyalty, for one - but it always seems to me that the standard move in harmony is for authors to completely ignore these conflicting traits, either really over-egging what makes harry and hermione compatible platonically in the books or just inventing similarities [especially intellectual ones] to justify the pairing. whereas i would much prefer to see just how difficult it would be for harry and hermione to fall and sustain being in love with each other, and i've never seen that done compellingly.
but the conflict i'd love to see explored in harmony fics most of all, but which never seems to be acknowledged by fans of the pairing, is that [despite the fanon slander that ron is the person who behaves poorly towards her] harry is often horrible to hermione and hermione is often scared of harry.
this is at its most profound after ron leaves the horcrux hunt in deathly hallows, but we see several times throughout canon that - if ron isn't there to mediate between them - harry often treats hermione in a way which can be considered downright cruel. if she criticises him in a way he considers unjustifiable, he tends to side with other people against her [ron in prisoner of azkaban over the firebolt; ginny in half-blood prince over snape's textbook]. if she tries to reason with him he often beats her down with the force of his emotions [i.e. when she tries to get him to think about whether his vision of sirius in the department of mysteries might be a trick] or his convictions [i.e. when he lures her into near-death by being certain that nagini is really bathilda bagshot], and she often ends up having to soothe or appease him when he's the one who's screamed at her.
hermione is also scared more generally of harry's experiences - she's by far the least amenable of the trio to talking about voldemort [even though she says his name earlier than ron does] - and mission, which puts up a barrier between them which will be difficult to bring down post-war. i think there's something which could be really interesting there - the most interesting dynamic in hinny, after all, is when harry and ginny's tendency to not actually be honest with each other is explored - but unfortunately at the minute that sort of character work is drowning in a sea of "ron is so stupid and harry and i just love talking about classic literature, come darling, put on your leather trousers and let us solve world hunger; i look like emma watson" nonsense.
dull!

♦️ for Hollow
♦ - quirks/hobbies headcanon
-Oohh this is a fun one. Hollow is full of quirks imo, first and foremost being that they are a burrower by nature and will disappear entirely if you ever put them in a bed with enough pillows and blankets for them to nest in (this is made even easier by the fact that I headcanon the beds of the beetle tribes to be cup shaped and lined with soft padding). How does something so tall fit into burrows so easily is anyone's guess, but they manage to fold themselves in there just fine!
Second is that they're a very good visual learner and managed to learn how to read and engineer simply from watching PK do it, though they have zero interest in actually doing any engineering past fixing any appliances that cause problems later on in their life. Reading is a different story, however- once they begin to realize that they're allowed to have autonomy in their life, they start to pick up on it more and develop a preference for what they like to read. That preference is romance novels, and no, quality doesn't count in the slightest. They're more fascinated by the dramatics of it all than the actual romance (though they think the romance is very sweet)
Third quirk is that I think Hollow is just naturally a very quiet person, in pretty much every sense of the word, and that's how they got away with being the Pure Vessel. They're just...still. Their body language is naturally subtle to nothing, they're not at all fond of 'speaking' in any sense of the word, and they generally prefer to just sit in the sidelines and observe the world and all its nuances by default. These are all characteristics that got amplified to unhealthy levels by the Pure Vessel plan, of course, but that's how they got away with seeming pure before they fully grasped the gravity of the situation (that, and the fact that they were paralyzed by overstimulation after being pulled from the dark hellhole of their birth to a blindingly white and relatively safe world for a good long while). Void-speech is more of a stream of shared consciousness detailing physical sensations and visuals and impressions rather than anything close to words, but if they were to have a void-name, it would be The Silent One. Post-ascension, it would be Bringer of Silence- Silence for short. They don't want anyone but their void siblings (and maybe PK) to call them that, however, because its similar to a true-name in that its uncomfortably close to their nature and thus not something they want revealed to the world.
Fourth is that they're hyperempathetic. This one's weird because they really have no reason to have this at all, given that both of their parents have little to no empathy simply bc of their nature- but they do. This pairs badly when you factor in how similar to PK they are in terms of depressive disorders and emotional dysfunction bc they care they care they care so much but they have no outlet for being able to care other than to give the entirety of themselves to, well...everything. What they went through was absolute hell and was a torture that no being should ever experience, and left them with extreme CPTSD, but if they were told that trying again would end with it working the second time around, they'd do it all again in a heartbeat. Hyperempathy + no sense of self-worth because they attribute all of that self-worth to their success of completing the task they believe is their life's purpose is not a good combo for their own good, but it also makes them an absolute nightmare to anything that gets in the way of caring for those they consider their own
Fifth is canon imo and it is that they are stubborn to an extreme. Good fucking luck trying to change their mind because it's not going to work and the more you attempt it the more they dig in their heels. This is a trait that is inherent to the entire Pale Family and yes this drives Hornet absolutely insane because she's so used to being the stubbornest person she knows so dealing with her just as stubborn family makes everything Even Worse

i rag on CC and his 'platonic brother sister samantha coded' approach to MSR, and yet! Scully is so Little Sister Coded about Mulder and her relationship with him Specifically and it is extremely important to both her character and their dynamic. It's very very important that she was the middle kid and the youngest girl and the target of teasing and bossing from Billy and Miss, and she wanted so badly to be included with Billy and Charlie instead of always being the nerdy tomboy tag-along that she couldn't help being because even though she's stubborn and hearty and clever and pragmatic, she's so tenderhearted deep down, full of empathy and outrage at injustice, and also eternally precise, which was always going to leave her on the outside of any rambunctious cool boy or cool girl group.
It's not mentioned anywhere in canon but i always assumed that Bill Jr. and Melissa were closest in age and closer to each other than to the younger two growing up, because 3 and 4 years is a noticeable gap at formative ages. Dana never quite fit in with the older two, the more socially successful and outgoing and assertive Scullys, you get the sense that she was trying to keep up with them while also trying to rebel against them, nerdy little conscience to assertive, successful Billy and naive, half-unwilling protege to popular, mysterious Melissa, and ending up on a drastically different path than both of them in the end. And then there's the mysterious Charlie, who she isn't close enough to, despite him being her little sibling and Dana being a natural protector and caretaker, to show up in her life through the duration of the narrative. The four kids would have mainly had each other growing up on the move, but even then she didn't fully fit in.
Interestingly, the age gap between Mulder and Samantha is probably nearly the same as Dana and Billy. So there are some parallels there, familiar sensations, except with Mulder, she's included in the special club of two instead of being on the outside. And Mulder has traded the naturally contentious relationship he had with Samantha as a kid for a fairy-tale reenactment of a new tag along partnership that includes some friction but none of the festering resentment between siblings in a deeply unhappy house. He ditches her from time to time in the name of 'protection' but in the day to day, he doesn't leave her trotting along trying to keep up and made to feel like her viewpoint is silly and annoying. Despite her independence, she even lets Mulder be protective of her -- far more than anyone else in her life -- like an ideal little sister figure, because that's mutual with Mulder too, and part of an idealized dynamic that she was close to but never part of growing up, as either the younger or the older part.
Scully always to go along with her figure of adventure, never wants to be left behind to catch up or be left out, doesn't want to be seen as too little or not game enough or annoying. And except for certain Syndicate related circumstances, Mulder doesn't just put up with this, he delights in it, always having his partner and playmate who wants to go along for the ride -- even when they're supremely fed up with each other.
Of course they aren't actually siblings, they're unrelated adults with undeniable chemistry and the lines quickly blur even further. But It's a bickering, codependent, pseudo familial, pseudo connubial melange of a dynamic, and it is actually easy to see how Scully could end up making assumptions about her and Mulder's relationship as being best-friendly-fraternal or as them filling particular vacant roles in each other's lives in a way that's convenient but not significant. Because those pseudo familial roles are actually part of their dynamic, even when it also involves romantic entanglement.

How are oppositions and squares different in synastry?
That's a good question! Oppositions and squares are both considered harsh aspects, they both cause some kind of disharmony between whatever planets are involved. However, there are some, often subtle, differences between the two.
With oppositions, you're placed with two, almost foreign, energies pulling each other in opposite directions. The root of the conflict here is usually quite easy to discern, as these energies tend to be in clear contrast with one another. The goal with oppositions is to find balance. Opposing signs are really just two sides of the same coin, so while they may express themselves in vastly different ways, their internal drive remains the same. Each of the opposing signs have traits that their counterpart lacks. In synastry, this can make for an interesting and exciting dynamic where the two individuals can learn a lot from each other (so long as they're willing to compromise a little). A synastry chart containing a lot of oppositions can foster a fair amount of growth in both people, as these two challenge each other in ways that force them to take on new perspectives. So while oppositions in synastry may be frustrating at times, they can provide the two an opportunity to push past the confines of their own perspectives and learn to achieve a happy medium in their own lives, as well as in their relationship.
Squares, on the other hand, bring forth tension, intensity, and harshness. Unlike planets in opposition, which can feel deeply unfamiliar at first, but ultimately have the same underlying motivations, planets forming a square don't necessarily feel unfamiliar, so much as they feel stubbornly set in their own ways. There's this sort of fundamental incompatibility going on with the square which can cause a lot of friction. There's less of an impulse to be cooperative and flexible with each other. And this isn't always just a matter of ego, it can be caused by fear or feeling blocked in some way. Squares also have this tendency to feel immediate, urgent. To be more specific, squares have a tendency to cause issues (internal or external) that feel like they require immediate action and attention, usually due to the discomfort they bring. This can actually be a good thing, as they urge you to face these issues head on and learn to problem-solve. With the square aspect, it's common for both planets involved to seek the upper hand, and try to gain power and control over the other. In synastry, this can cause a lot of tension in the relationship, and it's important for both people to be mindful of this. Squares are like roadblocks that you need to find a way around, unlike oppositions where the goal is to strike a balance between two extremes, squares are less about finding balance, and more about finding clever ways around the roadblock.
Quick summary of the two aspects + key words:
Oppositions: Two mutually opposed energies meeting and coming to understand their similarities, then learning to find balance and compromise in their differences. Integrating qualities the other possesses that they themselves lack, and becoming more whole in the process. Two sides of the same coin, clearly contrasted energies, lots of push and pull, learning to see things from a new perspective. Learning to avoid extremes, favouring moderation and finding a middle ground. Same modality, compatible elements, making it easier to understand each other. Needs balance and compromise to work.
Squares: Two fundamentally incompatible energies meeting and creating tension and discomfort, feeling blocked off from connection. Learning to coexist without dominating the other, favouring peace, respect, and understanding. Roadblocks, discomfort, stubbornness, friction. Finding ways to understand each other and adjusting certain behaviours to facilitate connection. Same modality, incompatible elements, making it hard for one planet to "win", both planets in constant battle. Needs patience, understanding, and a certain degree of sacrifice to work.
Example synastry aspects to note the difference:
Mars opposite Mercury: Mars and Mercury are embodying two extremes here. Mars is combative, forceful, and driven, doing before thinking. Favouring action and aggression, and behaving on instinct. Mercury is thoughtful and analytical, thinking before doing. Favouring investigation, introspection, and communication. Mars can be a little too fiery and impulsive, while Mercury can be too contemplative, and struggle with taking action. Mars can teach Mercury to take the ideas they've mulled over and finally put them into action. They can also inspire Mercury to communicate with more passion, or to be more assertive. Mercury, on the other hand, can urge Mars to stop and deliberate before they do something harsh and impulsive. They can encourage Mars to be more thoughtful. Let's say these two planets are in the opposing signs of Virgo (Mars) and Pisces (Mercury). Virgo Mars is practical, analytical, and grounded in reality. But they can get worked up quite easily. When angry, Mars in Virgo tends to spew a lot of criticism and harsh words, which can easily hurt sensitive Pisces. Virgo Mars' rigidity and scathing judgement is directly opposed to Pisces Mercury's delicate, compassionate, and open-minded nature. Pisces Mercury isn't interested in the limited nature of reality, they're much more fascinated by their own imagination, which can frustrate (and confuse) Virgo Mars to no end. Pisces Mercury views Virgo Mars as being too nitpicky, and not enough of a dreamer, while Virgo Mars views Pisces Mercury as being too "wishy-washy", and not realistic enough. These opposing energies can be frustrating to deal with, but there is an upside; both of these individuals possess qualities that the other person lacks. Pisces Mercury can provide Virgo Mars with some much needed imagination and whimsy, and Virgo Mars can bring Pisces Mercury back down to earth when they get too lost in the abstract.
Mars square Mercury: Now similar to the opposition, Mars and Mercury are both at odds with each other here. But they're not opposing each other, so they don't necessarily have the same underlying motivations, which can make it much harder for them to relate to one another. They also don't possess the qualities that the other lacks, which means they don't quite make up for each other's weaknessess either. The aggressive and impatient nature of Mars clashes with Mercury's introspective and meditative nature. Mars can bring quite a hostile energy to conversations, which can bother Mercury quite a bit. And Mercury's endless rambling can really get on the Mars person's nerves. Let's say these two planets are in Virgo (Mars) and Gemini (Mercury). Both Gemini and Virgo value logic, but they express this very differently, and usually in conflicting ways. Gemini is more curious than analytical. And their way of communicating tends to be quite scattered. Gemini Mercury's disorganized thinking and communication can frustrate Virgo Mars, as Virgo needs structure, order; they need things to make sense. And to them, Gemini is nonsensical. Since this is Mars we're dealing with, Mars will likely be easily irritated by Mercury. On the other side of things, Gemini Mercury finds Virgo Mars disagreeable, and doesn't appreciate their compulsive need to analyze and criticize everything. Both Virgo Mars and Gemini Mercury are very stubborn here, and they don't want to succumb to the other person's way of doing things, which can cause a lot of tension in the relationship. But squares aren't hopeless, these two may not be able to find balance in their clashing traits the way they could with an opposition, but they can still find ways to work around their differences and connect. Virgo Mars can hold back their criticism every once in a while, and learn to appreciate Gemini's chaotic way of expressing themselves. While Gemini Mercury can pause their rambling every so often, and allow Virgo to analyze, dissect, and organize to their heart's desire.
The difference between squares and oppositions (in natal or synastry charts) isn't huge, but understanding these subtle distinctions can really help add nuance to a chart. Hope this helps!

a friend of mine who isn't into Death Note asked me why people ship Lawlight. I gave her a pretty good answer but I feel that couldn't encapsulate it fully and you are the most articulate/analyzer person I can think of here, can you help me?
omg, I'm flattered you think that, but a bit worried I won't be able to speak for everybody about this! I'll probably just have to mostly say why I like to ship it and hopefully that will suffice...
1) the constant tension and the mind games between them is the heart and soul of the series to me. Light's a complicated character that is both very entertaining to follow and also sort of an infuriating bastard to watch as well, so when L waltzes in being like "HOLD ON A MINUTE HERE I KNOW IT'S YOU AND I'M DEFINITELY GONNA PROVE IT" and Light both seems to get extremely excited about how clever he is and also horrified and determined not to lose, that makes for a very charged dynamic that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Light's curiously positive reactions to L opposing him, as well as the way L intuitively understands him and pushes his buttons so effectively, is definitely one of the funniest and most intriguing things to watch in the entire show.
2) there's a lot going on in the narrative to continuously draw parallels between them and to sort of suggest that they're the true equal and peer that the other one has never actually had their entire lives, the solution to the boredom and loneliness and aloof superiority they've both been feeling due to their above-average intelligence and privileged positions and ambitious competitive stubborn streaks and so on. People love that and also find it super tragic/angsty or fascinatingly ironic and darkly funny that they end up only meeting in an enemies, "you're the closest thing to a real friend I've ever had but one or the other of us will have to die" sort of way
3) This part of their relationship also gets me as well - they probably would not have easily met if Light HADN'T been Kira, because L never has to meet any of the people he works alongside nor any of the criminals he catches in person - Light was just good enough at being a criminal to force L to meet him in person, basically. And there's also no guarantee that if they DID meet in other circumstances that they would have clicked so weirdly well as they do, because their cat and mouse game was probably the best way they could both impress each other the most and prove their own intelligence and entertainingness to each other as well. The immense difficulty of setting up this ship so that it actually works is part of the enduring appeal to me.
4) I think there's just a lot of intrigue to how much is left unsaid between them the entire time. They literally never get to have an actual straightforward heart-to-heart even once in the story, but they're seen obsessively thinking about each other the entire time (and Light continues to do so for years after L's death, even to the point of comparing everyone else who opposes him to L unfavorably after his death and admitting he feels bored again now that L is gone). I think a lot of fans were kind of dying to see them interact in a more straight-forward way
5) the handcuffs are certainly fairly suggestive and kinky hahaha... and the memory loss arc definitely brings up a lot of interesting "what if" type scenarios in every shipper's mind. Not everybody is convinced that they really hate each other, and seeing them work together on the case like that causes a lot of people to think about how they might get along if Light had never picked up the notebook in the first place. The fandom has a lot of people who really like the idea of them together whenever Light isn't Kira, and also a lot of people who think their dynamic is superior and works better when Light IS Kira - and having both of these different dynamics between them presented to us in canon makes for even more interesting possibilities to explore

❝ talk to you. ❞
ricky montgomery.
────────────────────
synopsis: it's hard voicing out your feelings, especially when they're miles away. featured: himeko x nb!reader contains: mutual pining, kinda angsty, a little bad links: masterlist | introductory post and rules a/n: shshd i love himeko sm pls marry me
"do you really have to leave?"
it felt like a piece of your heart was torn, ripped, and left incomplete.
you and himeko were classmates in college, both so ambitious and full of wonder. though your personalities are mostly different, you two never fell apart. each and every problem was resolved, no matter how stubborn the both of you were.
you pushed her limits and helped her out of her comfort zone, and she kept you grounded and level-headed in the middle of the chaos around you.
she was your rock, she completed you.
and now, she's gone.
"i'm sorry," the college student himeko said, clutching her suitcase tight. "i promise i'll be back."
it's been nearly 2 years since she said that, and himeko never once came back. you understood that she had bigger dreams than you, but you just wished receiving at least one letter from her.
you don't even know why it hurts you this much. sure, you were both extremely close in college, nearly spending every minute with each other. sure, you had frequent study "hang-outs" and went shopping together. sure, himeko and you shared a strangely small sauna tub during a vacation. and sure, you always had this fuzzy feeling whenever your hands brushed against hers.
but should it really hurt this much?
"himeko," you'd mindlessly mumble whenever you saw something reminding you of her. "himeko," you'd chuckle out when you saw a character with red hair like hers. "himeko," you'd sigh, reminiscing about the days you were still side by side.
you never noticed it, you never acknowledged it, and you never even thought about it.
you wanted to hold her again, bask in her presence, and talk to her.
you wanted to love her.
"i'm sorry. i promise i'll be back."
that was her reply to you, her heart crushing as she sees your saddened eyes. she made you, the usually cheerful and smiley you, upset. and that was even more devastating than actually leaving you.
himeko knew she'd have to leave one day. she knew it ever since you both talked about your dreams. they were just so distant from each other, and if they wanted to achieve their dreams, then they also need to be distant.
it's a fate that neither of you could avoid, so himeko just wished she wouldn't get attached to you.
alas. in the end, the red-head couldn't ignore you.
himeko would see your toothy smile in the corner of her eyes. she'd see the way your orbs would sparkle when she gazes at the stars. the truth is, in a room of people and gold, himeko would notice you first.
you, you, and always you.
even after 2 years, himeko would go through her old pictures, most of them containing you. although the red-head fulfilled her dream to see the world through the astral express, she sometimes wishes she didn't go and just stayed with you.
because, in truth, she wanted to live her life with you. and even if she denies it,
she wanted to love you.

More on Chagatai Khanate
I feel as if Chagatai Khanate is not talked about a lot by me. This is despite the fact that I pretty much have his whole characterisation and storyline planned from birth to death in my head and I have written about him before as a part of larger posts however I have not dedicated a single post to him.
I somewhat fashioned his personality off of the actual Chagatai. I also did something similar with Golden Horde and Jochi.
He really fits into the role of the ignored middle child well to be honest. Both character wise and how the actual Chagatai Khanate is perceived. From what I've seen over the years, when people reflect on the different Khanates of the Mongol Empire, they often think of the opulence of the Yuan Dynasty and Ilkhanate, or the infamous reputation of the Golden Horde in Europe, with the Chagatai Khanate often coming last and least in many peoples minds. Hell, a Khan of the Chagatai Khanate itself declared that it was a "miserabe little ulus", so its no wonder its not given as much attention.
I wrote this before in a much longer post about Mongolia's relationship with the different Khanates (Mongolia came to be the figurehead of the Yuan Dynasty) but I think Chagatai Khanate was born only one year after the Golden Horde (kind of wanted it to be poetic in the sense that this reflects the actual age gap between Jochi and Chagatai) so they're quite close in age. I think this only made him more competitive towards his eldest brother (Ilkhanate being the youngest). This is especially because Golden Horde felt outcasted to an extent as he was the representation of the Jochid territory and there was a lot of speculation about the nature of his birth - if Genghis Khan was actually his father or not. This casued a lot of tension between the actual Jochi and Chagatai, this is something Chagatai constantly berated him for. I think this is the same for Golden Horde and Chagatai Khanate. Not in the exact same way of course - no one was questioning whether he was Mongolia's child or not. However as he was the representative of Jochid lands - he was seen as illegitimate by proxy if that makes sense.
Out of the three brothers, I think Chagatai Khanate was the most similar personality wise to Mongolia. Don't get me wrong, all three of them inherited his traits, such as his stubbornness, competitiveness and intelligence. However if I was tasked with knee jerk picking the one son who just is the most like Mongolia personality wise overall, it has to be Chagatai Khanate.
This is one of the major reasons as to why Chagatai Khanate wanted to be the favoured son. Golden Horde was technically his first born, however he represents the Kingdom of  a bastard. He considered Ilkhanate a weakling who was not strong willed like he was and just bent over to whatever Mongolia said (unfortunately for Chagatai Khanate, thats exactly why Ilkhanate was Mongolia's favourite). He thought Mongolia would prefer a more hard headed son - like him.
Considering this reasoning, Chagatai Khanate was expecting... More? From his father. More approving pats on his shoulder when he did something right, more proud smiles when he stood his ground. Sure Mongolia gave them all attention but it was never enough. He was always busy with something else or late for something.
For the longest time, Chagatai defended his father a personal level and was extremely uptight about upholding tradition and rules. Out of his brothers, he was the one who was so anal about upkeeping proud Mongol tradition. Not that he was not a troublemaker in his own right - he most definitely was, however he was very conservative when it came to this. He could pretty much recite the entire Yassa code off by heart. Hence another reason why he thought he should be the favoured son.
Before Chagatai Khanate came to resent his father, he saw his meticulousness of upholding Mongol law and tradition as an extension of his love and respect for his father. But as time went on and there were more developments in the empire (as in, infighting between the divisions), Chagatai Khanate no longer saw it as an extension of his love for his father but as a competition. He was already given the short end of the stick when it came to the wealth of his Ulus ("miserable little ulus") which he was most definitely a sore loser about and not only that, Mongolia went on to establish the Yuan Dynasty under Khublai Khan -  a dynasty that ruled over China, posed itself as being a legitimate dynasty with the mandate of heaven, Khublai himself was very fond of China and there were whole wars fought between Khublai and Qaidu - the de facto ruler of the Chagatai Khanate, as Qaidu was more traditionalist compared to the more liberal Khublai. It's speculated that one of the discussions that took place during the 1269 Talas Quriltai was about Khublai straying away from Mongol tradition and turning to China! I explained this in more depth in a previous post I'll link here, it's a lot more historically dense but it's worth a read if you want more context.
Even before the different Khanates went their separate ways, I think Chagatai Khanates resentment began to blossom. I think he realised that no matter how hard he tried, Mongolia would never consider him his favoured son. So he got strangely competitive with Mongolia in more subtle ways before everything blew up. Who could inspire more fear in the lesser staff, who was the better wrestler. Mongolia caught onto this and was... Not impressed. He was quite annoyed at this. I don't think he felt threatened but I do think it's funny how the son most similar to him personality wise annoyed him the most. Admitting that you're obnoxious, Mongolia? (At least in the context of this era).
Mongolia definitely had his own thoughts on Khublai and absolutely raised an eyebrow at a few things he did (like moving the Mongol Empire capital to China) however he was not expecting his children (except for Ilkhanate who pretty much always sided with him) to turn against him in such a way - and to accuse him of all people of disrespecting Mongol tradition! Yes, he was pissed. Especially at Chagatai Khanate who he saw as the instigator of it all. Despite this conflict ending, Chagatai Khanate was still very sore about it and continued being a pain to his family. What's funny is how much Chagatai Khanate and Golden Horde hated each other, but one of the only things that could unite them was when they wanted to bully and threaten Ilkhanate. lol. And I guess their shared frustration when Mongolia inevitably sided with Ilkhanate in the conflict - Mongolia/the Yuan Dynasty being one of Ilkhanates only allies (daddy's boy I guess)..
This staunch adherence to tradition did not stop though. Whilst the other Khanates became more sedentary, the Chagatai Khanate was still living traditionally (ironic as this was a factor in halting the growth of wealth in the Chagatai Khanate, something he complained about) and when the Chagatai Khanate broke up into two, the West in Transoxiana and the East called Moghulistan (Chagatai Khanate became the Eastern Moghulistan) , Moghulistan was a hell of a lot more traditional than the Western Chagatai Khanate. They upheld Chagataid tradition whereas the Western Chagatai Khanate used Chagataids as puppet rulers usually. They were even discriminatory towards the Western halfs more mixed status, and the Western half similarly looked down on Moghulistan for being "uncultured" from what I recall. Yes I do think he was hatecriming his son-
Anyways it's ironic because Moghulistan itself became increasingly Turkified over time and even adopted Sharia law over the traditional Mongola Yassa. He's my fave jock loser
Some other hcs:
Ruddy face
He and GH are similar in stature but he is slightly bigger
Bushy eyebrows
Small scar on his cheek

I'm sorry for bothering you but do you have any headcanons on how Alfred us very much his fathers son, personally I like them to be different, yes, but with enough glaring similarities in behaviour and the like to give a lot of the old world severe Deja vu for when Alfred does things, like when he genuinely takes control or that look of pure ambition he gets when he's thinking? They're different but not enough, Alfred seems to be stumbling awkwardly in his fathers footsteps and no one present likes that
(.... you sent this a week ago. 🙃)
I'm pretty sure Francis was less than thrilled when he first saw that Alfred was just as much a sailor and pirate as his father (a lot of American pirates/privateers were famous in their own right!), and frankly I can imagine the first time Alfred rolls up to Paris - presumably for the 1783 Treaty of Paris - Francis likely has a moment of realization that now he has to deal with two Arthurs but now they're both sovereign and Alfred is no longer constrained to the Americas and can leave if he wants. just imagine Francis's regret a century later when Alfred shows up at the head of the Great White Fleet, now the most powerful navy in the world second only to the British Empire.
actually, Alfred has a LOT of very similar behaviors to Arthur, and those actually increase once he gets independence because he uses Arthur as his guide and model for doing diplomacy and war and just being sovereign in general. so he uses a lot of similar negotiating tactics (though tweaks them a bit for his personality and situation), he speaks to other nations using Arthur's usual cadence and diction (at least until Arthur's accent changes), and he really, really copies Arthur's general bearing and even a little of his demeanor, or he at least tries to. he also - especially at first - really clings to certain habits Arthur had, whether it was tea-time or whatever. he eventually grows out of constantly imitating Arthur as he becomes more confident, experienced, and starts to really come into his own and use what works for him. at that point, he becomes similar to Arthur for entirely different reasons, which imo REALLY unnerves the other nations. because it's one thing to see Arthur's inexperienced kid trying to imitate his elders; it's another thing entirely to see him behave like that naturally.
Alfred is actually extremely like Arthur in most ways imo: very ambitious, thrifty, obsessed with legal procedure, highly independent and stubborn, very concerned with efficiency and productivity, and both are actually very cynical and suspicious of other people and as a result end up surprisingly aloof, but they do have a shared optimism and confidence, too (it's not like Arthur fueled his imperialist ambitions by being a defeatist). they're significantly different enough in demeanor and temperament that their similarities can be hard to notice a lot of the time, but a lot (not all) of their differences are superficial.

REUNION! MY BOY IS COMING BACK HOME IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE!
It's the way that we start with Crosshair talking about his own squad and showing zero real interest in it, just the completely calm assessment that a scout team won't be enough to take them out. Later he's going to actually care that it's His Squad, right now he really does not. No reaction to orders to terminate them. Knowing how much Crosshair gives a shit in every other aspect despite trying SO HARD NOT TO, it just really stands out.
Wrecker's teaching skills.... TEN SECONDS TILL WE"RE BOTH GONERS. HONEY WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? What if we just do all our training by traumatizing the child forever with the possibility of imminent death. But he didn't let her train with a live explosive. He's not crazy!
"I failed my first disarming test too" great was that a smoke bomb or not because knowing the kaminoans and the state of your head I am considering that it was a live explosive.
I love their casual awareness that they're being watched, it's just very attractive when the batch is extremely competent.
"Wrecker says he has it under control" "That's not comforting" THANKS FOR THE VOTE OF CONFIDENCE TECH
Tumblr media
This is one of my favorite shots of Echo I just think they look very attractive perched up there. Now on the question of HOW are they perched up there? We just don't know.
Echo still losing it over the mere concept of anything that might make them money because all of it is Crime.
Also I'm keeping a count on how long it takes for Tech's hair to spontaneously reappear, so far he still has his bald patch.
WRECKER CRAVES THE PROTON TORPEDO MORE THAN LIFE.
"Hunter, we're soldiers. What other path is there?" I feel like the ultimate conclusion for the show is going to be a mix of these two's extremes. Hunter wants a path that is fully out of the danger, away from all of it, and that's clearly not going to be allowed to happen. Echo wants a path that they understand, and the soldier's life is safe and comfortable to them. Ultimately, they don't need to just be soldiers, but they also can't just walk away from it all, no one can. The Empire doesn't only come for soldiers.
Tumblr media
STILL CANNOT BELIEVE THEY GAVE US THIS SHOT.
"It's most likely a short circuit" right before several ships fly overhead. It is DEFINITELY NOT A SHORT CIRCUIT.
Hunter basically saying 'Tech you know Crosshair's too stubborn to be put off by a blocked scanner'
GOD I AM ALL CAUGHT UP ON THIS ACTUALLY. It's Crosshair, it's his stubbornness, it's his ruthless battle tactics, it's his knowledge, he just doesn't Care about anything but the mission and his orders, when those were always down near the bottom of his priority list before. Now they're all that registers. It's all the things that make him dangerous and none of the things that make him belong with them.
Stop throwing your goddamn toothpicks you filthy littering bitch (affectionate)
Crosshair knowing they'd cut into the comms so he redirected them away from the hangar by saying to push them to the hangar... GENUINELY CHIPPED CROSSHAIR REMAINS THE MOST TERRIFYING THING IN THE SHOW. Cannot outsmart him he knows all the Moves. No wonder they couldn't keep him chipped outside of this, he'd have won eventually if he was still trying this hard.
"Why come after us" honey he doesn't have an OPTION. Hunter and Omega trying to talk him down is sweet but absolutely useless. But then, what other options do they have? The thing is even if they stunned him here, what then, the place is crawling with Imperials and it was the only place they had to remove their chips. If they HADN'T been found here, maybe things would have been different but...
Also I was right, Crosshair didn't learn about the chips until episode eight and it was just Hunter and Omega telling him they existed. Nothing about how they worked, nothing about how powerful they are, and he has no reason to believe them right off. And with only finding out MAYBE half an hour before it gets annihilated with radiation, of course he doesn't believe them. He doesn't really have a reference point to notice he's being controlled on any level.
Still amazed at the sheer coldness of 'aim for the kid though' like Brutal
Tumblr media
I think this guy here might be Omega's first kill? She uses her bow several times in Decommissioned, but all of those were droids. I wonder if she's really realized the weight of that yet. Also that her first kill was another clone, which, Ow.
All of that and she's still so small that Tech has to help her jump off a step.
WRECKER I CARE ABOUT TECH'S ION ENGINE INFODUMP DON'T INTERRUPT HIM.
Tech nearly getting sniped here - I stand by my headcanon that the reason Crosshair misses them so often in particular is because the chip has major control but sniping requires SUCH PRECISION that the tiny little muscle twitches that might sneak through, small enough that they wouldn't change anything for any other weapon, are enough to throw his aim off.
TRY AGAIN HUNTER babe I don't know that he can hear you.
"Crosshair wouldn't do that, would he" Omega I cannot emphasize enough that it does not MATTER what Crosshair would do just like it didn't matter what WRECKER would do last episode.
I do really want to know what Plan 7 is
The ion engine coming on and the ring of explosions looks SO good, that's some good fucking animation.
And CROSSHAIR RUNS TOWARDS IT LIKE WHATTTT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING TO DO HERE?
I mean at least blasting him with radiation will take out the chip but goddamn. The burn scar is SO MUCH and then he fucking falls on that side of his face.
Do you think that the smell of his own flesh burning reminded him at all of the civilians he had killed?
Sorry I'm normal again, Crosshair carries the dark thoughts with him like a cloud.
The reveal of all the dead clones around their ship is so good for Bane's reveal. And this is still so much better having watched TCW because the first time I watched I LITERALLY HAD NO IDEA WHO THE HELL THIS WAS.
The way that he just drops Hunter and the music completely cuts out and then gets really fucking intense no wonder a few people thought for a hot second that they killed Hunter off just like that.
This is also why you can't take the musical cues for if a death is real or not because they WILL go intense whether they're dead or alive if the moment calls for it.
"Get me on the shuttle" what the fuck did the radiation do to the chip that it turned Crosshair completely feral for a hot second because he is barely breathing and he's like I AM GOING TO COMMIT MURDER RIGHT NOW.
GOD I LOVE THE POV SHOT FROM HUNTER'S HELMET. The way they do this with Omega too later (and honestly it would be amazing setup for doing the same thing with Tech's goggle recordings come on it is RIGHT THERE)
