kidnap your man's $12,000 guitar, leave him a ransom note written in newspaper clippings, send him polaroids of the guitar as proof of life, mail him parts of the guitar as a threat, describe torturing the guitar by slowly tightening its strings, and then only give the guitar back after your man kidnaps your cancer patient in retaliation - the How to Get What You Want from Your Terrible Dumpster Fire Boyfriend guide by Doctor James Wilson

[MASTERPOST]
Eskel tries to be calm about it all, besides his initial reaction, but it's hard. (I think he does cry in private, which is something he very rarely does.) That being said, and all the worries aside, I think he's also the first one to go "...huh" about them. Something might be up, but he isn't sure.

I know that the post about which Star Trek you've watched was not an invitation for suggestions and that no other series can even come close to what Voyager has with Tuvok, but I think you would really enjoy Enterprise's Carbon Creek for the sheer level of Vulcan lore and shenanigans in it, and it generally works as a stand-alone episode
Can I just say I really love how you worded this and it made me laugh very hard when I read it because it sounds like you're trying very delicately to get me to move on and live my life again after a tragedy and you're very correct to do so, I earnestly love it HEHEHEH you're so nice~
"Listen...we all know Tuvok means so so much to you. No one's trying to take that away, we couldn't even we tried, you know that. But there's a whole WORLD of Star Trek out there...he would have wanted you to watch Carbon Creek - no, he would have wanted you to enjoy it."
And I tearfully nod, wiping my eyes. "You're right...I'm being silly, I know." [not at all] I smile slightly. "You know what....? I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna watch Carbon Creek. What's the harm? Just one episode. It'll be good for me. It'll get my mind off him."
Anyway I watched Carbon Creek
I immediately drew Tuvok <3
HEHEHE BUT I really did like the episode~!!! The subplot about Jack[?] being able to go to college was really sweet and I thought T'Mir was so lovely looking...I want to dress like her. Why can't /I/ be a little alien woman in a small town? Just because I'm mostly not a woman and live in a big city and am human?? How's THAT fair?
Lying: The most fun a girl can have with her clothes on. <- deceiving others about the fact that you weren't lying? Double the fun!

reading this thing this lesbian wrote back in 2003 when she was really mad about AFIN and it's so interesting to see someone pretty much accusing them of queerbaiting even back then (when the word in the same sentence as Xena makes people get really mad nowadays) and also it's pretty funny how little fandom has changed
Extremely funny that the "well I fucking despise the actual piece of media in question but at least we have fanfiction" mentality was around even in 2003

I was literally spinning around my kitchen giggling and twirling my hair listening to the latest episode and I can't wait for the official drop to come tomorrow because I need y'all to hear this. (I do have a tendency to do this with most episodes of woe.begone but this one was a particular joy to listen to)
Very spoilery screaming in the tags below.
