The wall clock ticks the seconds along. Its face reads one a.m. The 24 hour diner is dead.

Nancy sits down across from her one customer. Places her own mug on the table and then a full, fresh pot of coffee between hers and Kris’.

Kris looks up, eyes bleary, shoulders tense as though she’s gearing up for a fight. It sags from her almost immediately when she sees the pot. “...thanks.”

Nancy’s smile is tight but sincere. “Welcome. I needed a caffeine break, too.” She doesn’t ask why Kris is here at this time of night. She knows.

I was supposed to be going back to work April 3rd but that's not happening. No clue when we'll open at this rate and it's stressing me out. I've had major winter depression this year and just as it starts getting warm this shit happens. @_@ But I'm dealing.

im in washington (the first cases in the us were in my county) and my mom works at a senior center where they've had at least 3 confirmed cases, so we're all quarantining, and beyond that i got laid off for a min of two weeks so i might be homeless by the end of this. all in all, super fun trip so far, but id like to get off the bus anytime now.

As someone who follows you and Jess' husband, do not let TVD suck you back in. Yes Katherine is back and it's beautiful but I just KNOW they are going to demonize her even worse than they already have and probably destroy her soul or some shit. This show has never failed to completely infuriate me every single time. Save yourself the heartache lol

You’re probably right, I tried watching the Originals because it started out so well, but it disappointed me too.  My saving grace is probably that I no longer know when the show comes on anymore, so I would only get to see it if I happen across the right station at the right time.  Fingers crossed that I’ll miss it, because I do tend to do the thing I know I shouldn’t.

"Promise me just one thing..." - Varek/Sonja (Skinwalkers)

Grenier’s companion is dead. The young Humanist male - practically still a kid - is dead. Their guardian is dead. Even the girl - Varek’s own fucking niece - is dead. 

But the bodies Sonja wanted to see are nowhere to be found. Tracks leading off make it obvious that this whole plan - one she didn’t like to begin with - was a failure. Just like she’d known, deep in her gut, it would be. It would be too neat, too easy, too perfect.

“Looks like you’ll have to get your hands dirty,” she snarls, body twitching as the blood moon rises higher. The change will be on her soon.

Varek comes up beside her, his own gaze staring into the distance where hers is fixed. Some kind of mill or warehouse. Something old and abandoned. Lots of shadows and little light, perfect place for hiding and evading predators. He sighs - but with the change so near it sounds more like a low growl.

“We’ll get it done, Sonja. I’ll get this done.”

Bones begin to snap and crack inside her. The shift is here. The final night before everything is saved forever - or forever lost. Sonja looks to her lover as her body begins to twist and contort with a familiar euphoric pain. “Promise me one thing, Caleb.”

He flinches at the malice in her guttural tone when she spits out his name. He won’t look at her. Whether out of guilt or pride, it doesn’t matter. He’s a bastard for it all the same. An echoing crack sounds out and forces his head back as his fangs grow and protrude further from his gums, forcing his mouth open. “What?” he snaps before he’s rendered unable to speak.

“Don’t hesitate.”

A roar is her answer as the change takes over them both, Zo right behind. The three of them - four, it should be four - fall to the ground as their bodies shudder and writhe and embrace the shift, revel in the beast that takes over, fills them out, builds them up. 

There is a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach that says this is the last time.

It’s not my favorite horror movie in the world, but I do think a lot of the suspense is effective, including the voyeuristic OPOV and honestly? Nothing can really top the Pamela Voorhees reveal. She is a fascinating villain and I don’t understand why we never got a movie focused on her. It’s a shame. 

Friday the 13th (2009)

I honestly don’t hate this remake and think the characters are fun and entertaining in a way that made me not want them to die. The storyline ties back into Jason’s mommy issues while the rest of the franchise, as I understand it, forgets Pamela was a thing. Granted I own and saw this because my dark time as a Jared Padalecki stan, but I do very much like this movie as it’s own thing.

i love that shit lmao. i reserve the right to complain and criticize it endlessly and say with conviction that “RIVERDALE AIN’T SHIT!” while simultaneously acknowledging that it is the most entertaining piece of television i think i’ve ever watched. no one does fucking off the rails like them tbh, and it’s the reason it is the show that i most look forward to watching every week, because i want to know what ridiculous, nonsensical thing they will come up with this time. and this is the unpopular part, y’all wanna act like these writers are idiots but they absolutely know what the fuck they’re doing. it takes a special kind of talent to make people hate you SO MUCH and yet still constantly come back for more. what is that quote? the opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s indifference? people putting so much time and effort and energy into hating something? that means something lol. there’s talent there. there’s been shows i’ve been so invested in that i stopped watching entirely because i was so upset about certain storylines (teen wolf after allison’s death, tvd after the whole sirebond fuckery). i can’t think of a single thing they could do that would make me leave, besides be boring lol. they already treat most of their characters like shit, and i’m not invested enough in any of their individual fates, so i’m just in it for the ~drama~. bring it on.

I agree with your thoughts on TBTP Season 3. My wife and I are concerned with how little is really going on this season and we're already half-way through it, and it's the final season. I have a feeling it's either going to end with a hand-wave that solves everything, or everyone's gonna die and nothing gets resolved or explained.

And Terry Miles is still on the production team, your prediction just might come true. Season 3 of TANIS was a complete misstep based on the reactions and though RABBITS had tepid reactions, the ending really pissed off a lot of people.

I’m not holding high hopes for TBTP because I know Terry Miles is gonna do something to make me shake my fist at the sky and curse out the podcast gods. But, the fact Bae is around gives me hope that he can reign Terry in and make a satisfactory ending.

While on the topic of endings and endgames: i wouldn't be that upset if Stragan wasn’t made canon. Mostly because I don’t trust Terry Miles with anything romantic wise. 

I’m not okay with Strand and Coralee getting back together for a myriad of reasons, and that is a whole other fish needing frying. (If you want my opinions on Coralee x Richard, read this post, its a good summary.) 

Stragan, while it has potential to become endgame if done right, has a lot of things stacked against it, the most important being time. There are only three more episodes left in the entire series and unlike terry miles' straight white male nerd wet dream TANIS, TBTP is not getting a TV show to expand on the universe or tie up loose ends. There just isn’t enough time to develop a healthy romantic relationship between the two. And as much as I love this ship, seeing it grow from its fledgling stage, I’d rather it be left for the fandom.

When she comes, she screams his name, over and over until it becomes a plea for mercy as his mouth remains at her cunt. Her trembling body feels the energy in his shift from passion to comfort.
