Another angel got his wings recently. This is Tater Tot, a special needs kitten rescued by @ourfosterbabes from @kittycrusaide. He was born with a cleft palate and his legs were formed incorrectly. This is why he wore special cast, called "bonkers" by his caregivers.

I wanted to honour his life as best as I could. In the short time he was alive he's brought joy to so many people with his grumpy face and adorable personality. He was a fighter and he'll be remembered <3.

Painting him reminded me about my own cat that had to be put down 4 years ago. While crying about Tater Tot, I was also grieving losing her, in a way. They both were gone much too soon. But they both were loved until the very end, and I hope they knew it.

May he bonk in peace.

somehow she knew this conversation might come up had she met with riku again after such events in the past transpired. she has already had numerous conversations with beast about how to properly act in forgiveness. his response happened to be always to not forgive anyone for trying to take belle from him but she at least made it a point to usher him towards being respectful.

a slight sigh of relief can be heard from her. it was nice to know that there was a bit of worry. " you're worried about how you might be perceived by him now ? please don't worry , riku. he's not a monster. you understand , don't you ? when you .. " well , she will have to think about her words further. " .. when you .. care for someone so greatly and they are taken from you , i suppose we would all act the way he did. don't you think ? " a beat. " my papa was once taken from me. he was to be a prisoner here. had that occurrence not happened , i surely wouldn't have found this castle. " she had to find the bright side. " of course i wouldn't ask for my father to be kidnapped to find a castle and a most wonderful friend .. but .. in the end , i had the pleasure of meeting you and sora through these many heartless circumstances too. "

aita for banishing my cat from my room for a night so he didnt eat pins?

so, my cat snowy. hes a sweet boy, but he will eat Anything that catches his interest. he wakes me up in the morning by trying to steal wrappers out of the bin. we have to snatch plastic out of his mouth on the regular. the only reason he doesnt try to steal food off our plates anymore is because he's learned it will just get him removed from the room when he could just wait and potentially get scraps when we're done.

snowy the insatiable likes to sleep in my room, and normally is completely allowed to bc hes cute and doesnt try to jump on the windowsills like the other cats, but today i was sewing in my room and didnt want to risk him trying to eat spare bits of thread or a needle or cloth scraps or what have you because he Would (and also i dont have a desk so the cat and the sewing supplies would be going on the same surface), so he was locked out.

he is now Annoyed at me and doesnt wanna come to my room to cuddle or harass me for pets in the mornings bc i didnt let him in Once. and i feel bad bc hes an old man and likes to sleep on my bed bc he doesnt have to fight the other cats for space there, just me who is a pushover once i have enough space to be comfy. and hes refusing it bc hes mad at me lmao

This is Astarion. Which is like, yes, well done, A+ naming. The character is practically canonically an anthropomorphic cat anyway. But I cannot help thinking that this perfect skrunkly boi (thanks, Skits) is also a perfect fusion of Astarion and His Majesty.

"Hey Spudbuds,

I’m honestly not sure how to start this post, but here it goes.

Today, our tiny spud, passed away suddenly in my hands. His energy had been slowly decreasing over the last week or so, and we were hoping it was an illness that antibiotics could treat. He also started showing signs of pneumonia a few days ago, and I had started pneumonia protocol with meds and a nebulizer.

I brought up the possibility of a heart condition with our vet, but Tater Tot was too small to have any tests run on him yet. With how sudden his passing was today, I truly think he had an enlarged heart and it just couldn’t keep up with him. One moment he was walking around and the next he was gone.

This tiny little potato has had such a profound impact on my heart, and I am so unbelievably happy I got to share him with the entire world. What started as me sharing some photos of the goofy new foster I had turned into an entire community focused on kindness, humor and compassion. I am astounded at the reach Tater Tot’s story had, and I cannot express to you just how incredible it has been to see how he has impacted the world.

I hope that his resilience during his short time here continues to inspire people. He was dealt a really tough hand with multiple health concerns, but he didn’t let that slow him down. He showed us that even if we have some struggles, there is always something to fight toward.

I want to thank every person here who has been in his corner cheering him on. It has been so beautiful to watch millions of people around the world unite over the life of one small little creature.

Working in rescue is hard. We put so much love, care, literal blood, sweat and tears into trying to save as many animals as we can - sometimes they just don’t make it, and it is devastating. My heart is shattered. This tiny tot was such a joy to care for, even on the days it was hard as hell. Tube feeding a kitten every day for 6 and a half weeks is no easy task, and I definitely bonded with this guy in a way I’ve never bonded with a foster before. He has left his paw prints on my heart, and I hope he left some tiny paw prints on yours.

I am not shutting down this page even though our little grompy potato has crossed the rainbow bridge. His life has helped bring to light the difficulties of working not only in rescue, but caring for animals with disabilities. I want his memory to live on in the stories of other creatures who are built just a little different from others.

In closing, I would love it if all of the Spudbuds could make a donation to their local shelter in Tater Tot’s honor. Please help his life continue to impact other animals in the world.

Thank you for being a part of Tater Tot’s journey, and for having such a profound impact on me and our rescue. We never anticipated we would build a whole community, but my goodness, I am glad we did.

only 11 and i also took rather too late of a nap, but feel too eepy to do anything but lie down and play on the phone. hope that means good sleep for me

way less grompy today. thought out some ideas for an upcoming guest lecture that excite me. got to show off in phonetics class bc there are very few native speakers in it and the professor and i have wildly different accents and she asks the class to compare her pronunciations with mine. she was so excited about my pronunciation of the word 'bear' that her fitness watch told her to calm down. and the other classmates are funny because they ooh and aah when they hear the pronunciation differences

then i came home and hung out with the cat who was extra cute today. had to go to the store to pick up all the shit i forgot on my grocery order, so i ended up making a hobby lobby trip too because i need some accent fabric for my little guy. didn't find anything suitable (they really don't have a great fabric selection but tragically are the only fabric store within reach) but i was cheered up and invigorated by the fall decor

searched a long time online and finally found some good fabric at a nice price, so ordered that. had a weird nightmare heavily featuring bus route worries, as usual, and also my students not listening to me. pretty low stakes for a nightmare i guess. didn't bother me much. AND we're about to start reading the Nibelungenlied in class which is my FAV. so i am feeling pretty content and uncommonly inspired by my day
