when you give dirty stares to the "scary" homeless person in the streets screaming to themselves, imagine what they are going through to act that way, all alone, scared and unsafe in the streets going through a mental crisis with no support

when its "hard to see" your loved ones going through psychosis, imagine how they are feeling beings the ones actually suffering with psychosis

when you are emberassed by your psychotic loved ones actions, imagine how emberassed they are to be syptomatic around their loved ones who judge them

when you complain about how hard it is to "walk on eggshells" around psychotic people, imagine how hard it is for them, the ones who actually have to deal with the concequences of the things you say to them that could make things worse

when you dont know what happening in a psychotic persons head and you dont know how to help, think about why they dont want to or cant talk to you about it, think about why they dont want to or cant get help themselves, think about what you can do to make yourself more trustworthy to them, what research you can do to learn more about psychosis, and what professional resources you can set them up with because you cant give them treatment by just sympathysing

you need to think about how the psychotic person feels, you need to think about what might be causing their actions, you need to sympathyse with them, but that alone wont help them. as someone in touch with reality you do have the power to help them, to call upon prefessional outsiders, to do your own research, to try to make the things you can control in their life easier for them.

and i promise you, as a psychotic person myself, its so much harder to be the psychotic person than it is for the nonpsychotic people around me. psychosis is an internal struggle, the worst part about it is how it makes me feel, not how it shows externally to others.

hi, I would encourage you to fact-check that post about censorship on tiktok. people’s videos absolutely do get taken down by the platform for using words the app/company has flagged, it’s notably a big problem for people using words like “transgender” and “lesbian” and “palestine” :// users (including ppl I know irl) get their accounts suspended over the use of LGBTQ words in their captions.

I’ll be perfectly transparent I absolutely did Google that one to check it before I reblogged it because I try to practice “don’t reblog misinformation”, and since the first several hits didn’t mention users getting banned for things that post seemed to imply weren’t officially censored (swearwords, saying “die” “kill” etc.) I took it to be accurate without looking further into it

that said you’re absolutely right that TikTok does censor other words and phrases, though from best I can tell there’s no firm list (I did find a whole ass Wikipedia article on it though)

from that and some cursory googling I didn’t find immediate evidence that they block tags like ‘Palestine’ but did find some articles complaining tiktok was anti-Israel, so good chance opinions on that app’s stance differ by who you ask - for LGBT stuff def in 2019-2020 they had recorded problems via that Wikipedia article but since then either complaints have died down or they don’t report it as much. That said LGBT stuff is Absolutely being censored in some countries like China and I can easily see that spilling over either intentionally or otherwise into other territories

all that said I do think the original reblogged post stands in that some words aren’t being blocked (die kill masturbation etc) and people are trying to circumvent that for whatever reason, be it to get past peoples filters or to simply try and expand their audience into countries that have stricter censorship laws

meanwhile your point that other terms are actively being censored even within the US (where I’m at) is also true and important to consider

bunch of ramblings below that i just kind of want to speak into the void abt

this is the first time in 10 yrs i haven't been on any meds... and after the withdrawal/self-tapering phase where i was actively su*c*dal, i've been surprisingly okay? i'm not really sure how long this will last but i've recently started therapy again so i guess we'll see.

now that the depression is stable (for now) i feel like a lot of adhd and social anxiety things are bubbling to the surface. i've always overanalyzed my interactions with other ppl and even more so now i get anxious over every little thing - did i say something wrong, what if they hate me, etc. sometimes i'll ruminate over an interaction for hours. i feel so hyperaware of my thoughts and feelings right now, afraid of spiraling because i don't have the meds to fall back on.

not rly related but i'm kind of devastated about how a part of snzblr has taken to bashing the popularity of hh in our space. it's not just the negativity but the disdain that some of these ppl have towards it/the ppl who do like it? i understand if it's not your thing but it's kind of icky how some ppl have approached it. there's been so many other fandoms that have been popular in this space that i haven't personally been into, but i didn't see the need to complain or drag other ppl's taste.

i mentioned before but this is the first time i'm actually into a popular snzblr fandom. i also don't remember any of those other fandoms getting this kind of treatment either so it just a feelsbadman moment for me and kind of puts a damper on my desire to be in this space. this community despite its ups and downs has always been good to me and consuming snz content for my lil fandoms always brought me joy. i'm probably going to sink into the shadows again bc it has bothered me more than i want it to.

I hate when ppl ruin good things for others, this is why we can’t have nice things. I’ve had some acc switch to Patreon bc of the hate, which sucks but I respect their decision. I’m quite on here the majority of the time, but that’s because of work. When I do log on I try my best to reblog & like those I follow work & their personal life because I love to see people happy. I never understood the entitlement of criticizing others or sending hate to someone they have never met. It’s dumb to assume a blog is solely for their writing, it’s not surprising when you guys give us an update on your life. You feel comfortable sharing that information with us, it sucks when people make you feel like you can’t. I love both your writing & your personal life. That's very nice of you and you don't know how much I appreciate it! To be honest, I still get very little hate regarding my private life/for writing about it, I feel more that with season two there will be a lot of new people here who may not understand how this place works. I also just want to give someone the opportunity to choose − it's harder to complain, write hateful anonymous messages when someone can reply "just block this tag and fuck off".

People who write such messages hope to spark a discussion and embarrass the person on the other side. I'm not ashamed of anything, but I just want to give others the opportunity to filter what they see on my blog so that I don't have to listen to anyone's whining. Everyone benefits from this, and it will be easier for me to search for posts on my blog, so there is no bad thing that doesn't do good. 😇

was fucked up by my sleeping pills bc they had kicked in but I was scrolling thru tumblr and was high bc of that, and anyways did a long ass ramble in tags on a post about being a mystery or some shit where I had cracked a joke doctors @ me, in the tag and elaborated, and forgot abt tumblr’s update where ppl can see tags and anyways i fucking. forgot about the tags entirely But apparently op was a fucking anti or whatever which is Unfortunate for me bc now I have ppl being a bitch to me and also being ableist in my inbox but like. I was high and was not even venting-it genuinely was just me talking and trying to relate to others who may have medical issues that are Uncommon :( was generally very jokey but i may have had a tone issue? I tend to get very open and tangential when I’m still awake after I take my pills. normally it’s fine cause it’s been about other shit. nothing identifiable as far as I can tell was said but idk as I said I do have memory issues in general and was not fucking sober AND I’m autistic. (Not an excuse, but an explanation.) anyways I’m just blocking and deleting and pretending I don’t see it as per normal but they really don’t have any compassion at all for ppl. honestly just say that you hate trans men and stfu lmao. there's nothing inherently wrong with trans people romanticizing their transitions. if you think that the "poetry" that forcemasc blogs write is bad, that's fine, if you disagree with the use of the terms "autoandrophilia" and "forcemasc", that's fine too, but don't start bitching and whining and claiming that trans guys finding joy in being encouraged to be masculine after being forcefully pushed into femininity for most of their lives is misogynistic, because it's really not.

I dislike, even, the concept of masculinity itself because it doesn't actually exist outside of that vague concept. Masculinity exists as an opposite to femininity and when you live in a society held up by misogyny and binaries one of those is going to be known as important and natural, the other as shameful and unnatural. And as someone who exists in that shameful and unnatural, we can fucking tell when you cunts start getting too comfortable feeling like ur just somehow innately better than everyone else.

Adding the tags from one of my "bitchy and whiny" posts: ur kink exists within the framework of misogyny ur gonna have to face the fact that what u love is the power. What do you see in masculinity worth salvaging? what u post about are just traits, nothing is inherent to masculinity.

What people say are "masculine traits" or "masculine ideals" are just normal fucking traits (that you can strive for and emulate and respect outside of being the ideal man bc so many of of are just "stick up for ur mates" or "respect") that people start valorising as soon as some rando guy starts doing it. Which is exactly what these lame ass forcemasc posts do which is why it ticked me off which is why I'm complaining to my teeny tiny follower base about it.

And as an aside, I don't "disagree" the phrase autoandrophilia. People need to stop apologizing for adding to posts and complaining when others add to a post, this is what the feature is for! Even tags! Ops complain about what ppl TAG their reblog of their post with, this is so ridiculous. For op it’s just 1 notification they can just ignore and for the person who made the addition/tag they just put what is now their version on their OWN blog, like they have the fucking right to do that lmao it’s the point of taking this post to your house? I was gonna say it’s derivative but it’s not even that. it’s not like it’s doing anything to the original post.. literally i never understood the problem ppl have with this. You don’t like peace and love on planet earth?
