Vil Schoenheit's Resentment
Vil x GN!Reader/Yuu warnings: mild swearing, petty vil supremacy, reader is called yuu, reader is a lot shorter than vil and somehow has clear skin, neige slander im sorry i love him i really do TT, s-silent treatment? pov: third-person wc: 1021 words
Tumblr media
Vil Schoenheit; top model, renowned actor and acclaimed singer. For as long as he could remember he’d been wearing a mask in the eyes of the public.
Cool, calm and collected. It took years of practice to perfect his persona.
Extremities were frowned upon so he had to balance his traits. Not too cold, not too warm. Not too approachable, not too lofty. Altogether, he was the spitting image of a perfect celebrity.
Just one glance was enough to tell anybody; that right there is a star.
So why?
The Ramshackle Prefect enters the scene. They were shy and soft-spoken, with a little too much fringe blocking the world’s view of their eyes. Quite pretty eyes at that. Moving on, they slouched while they sat, left crumbs around their mouth and when they did speak, only the crudest vulgarities left their lips.
Vil would never! Ever! Waste his precious time even interacting with a slob like that, much less fall in love with them.
But if there’s anything fate has taught him, it was to never say never.
You… You’ve ruined everything..!
Vil Schoenheit, the fairest of them all, as many would say, was having a crisis.
It was hard to describe what he was feeling. A giddiness bubbling up in his stomach that made him start kicking his legs while screaming into his pillow as if he weren’t a superstar but a delicate maiden, followed by a sharp realisation and… Shame.
It had been a while since the VDC and S.T.Y.X. incidents. He’d gotten much closer to Yuu, the Ramshackle Prefect during that time. He’d long let go of the notion of them being a slob. If anything, they worked much harder than anybody else did.
Since he had taken them under his wing, it was up to him to bring that inner beauty of theirs up to the surface. To let the whole school marvel at his little spudling in full bloom.
Mascara, maybe some lip gloss. Some blush and by the Sevens, Epel, I need your brush. He was going to make them beautiful.
And beautiful they were.
He couldn’t explain the slight twinge in his heart as he watched Rook lather praise upon praise on them and noticed the turning heads following them down the hallways.
Then came that fateful day. After weeks of denial and renditions of ‘I Won’t Say I’m In Love’ (Rook played the part of the Muses), he’d accepted his feelings, and was ready to put them into action.
He’d seen the way they looked at him. The twinkle in their eyes, the unintentional smile they couldn’t keep down. All symptoms of a disturbance in the heart. He knew it well, he was afflicted with the same illness after all.
So with a carefully penned, scented letter sent over to Ramshackle’s doorstep, he’d collapsed into his bed, eagerly awaiting the next day. He resented Yuu. The way they made him feel. But it was a sweet sort of resentment.
Yuu, a.k.a Ramshackle Prefect a.k.a. Caretaker of Grim a.k.a. Beast Tamer, after making it out of seven overblots by the skin of their teeth, was having a crisis. A love crisis.
It had been a few months since they started dating Vil Schoenheit and so far it was going great. It was the first time Vil had been in a relationship (which surprised them at first but made sense considering his background), but he was a natural. He took the lead and was always trying to better both himself and Yuu.
Dates were fun and relaxing, full of self-care and spa nights where he’d personally massage the knots out of their weary shoulders and apply face masks onto their skin along with those cucumbers they’d always seen in movies.
“It’s truly a miracle your skin is as healthy as it is, considering you’ve neglected it so much these past few months,” he’d whispered under his breath the first time he did their makeup. They’d caught on to the tinge of envy in his voice and would chuckle at the thought every now and then.
But back to the topic at hand. Vil… Was a vindictive boyfriend. Not to say he would lash out at them or anything but sometimes they wished he would.
You see, the first and most obvious sign that Vil was mad at Yuu came in the form of silent treatment.
“Vil, Vil! Look, I got a ninety-eight on my potionology exam! It’s all thanks to you,” Yuu gushed, running up to the man.
He didn’t reply. Didn’t even turn around to acknowledge them.
“Vil? …How come you’re wearing your fifteen cm heels today,” they faltered, a little nervousness starting to creep up in their voice. This was yet another sign of Vil’s anger. Even barefoot, the top of Yuu’s head barely reached his shoulder so whenever he wore his heels, they had to crane their head up to a painful degree just to get a look at him. It was a petty move but oddly effective.
The model looked down on them from above, before huffing and strutting away, his heels clicking on the hallway tiling.
Oh shit.
Yuu  honey  Yuu darling 🥺 Yuu light of my life 🥺🥺  Yuu talk to me please 🥺🥺🥺  did i do something wrong? Yuu im sorryyy
Hah. Did I do something wrong?? The audacity!
Imagine Vil’s shock and betrayal when he’d been idly scrolling through MagiCam after a relatively good day only to find a post from his dreaded rival, Neige Leblanche (which in itself would’ve dampened his mood), only to see that his very own beloved had liked the forsaken post.
Okay, fine. Maybe he was overreacting a little. But it mattered! It mattered a great deal to him!!
Me Give me a day or two to cool down.  Me And for Seven’s sake, PLEASE block that little twink on MagiCam right now.  Me You know who I’m talking about. Yuu okay done  Yuu if you need anything ill be here <333 Yuu love you 🥺
…He was starting to feel a little guilty.

you must like me for me - quinn hughes (a sneak peek !)
a/n: another fic idea i've had in my head for ages ! i started writing it the other day when i was sick and it's currently at 3k words. i'm CONFIDENT that i'll smash this one out quicker than my aho fic so it's the only reason i feel like i can post a sneak peak. but also let me know if you have any requests or ideas you'd like me to write about - i'd love to hear from you 🤍
summary: twelve months since the incident and you're ready to let yourself re-emerge into the public eye in the form of a hockey game. the plan was simple: appear, smile, leave unscathed. easy, right?
The theory of fight or flight has always fascinated you. In the face of adversity, no matter how complex the situation, millions of years of evolution still dictate that humanity will always revert to its oldest survival mechanism: to either assert and neutralize, or: evade and withdraw.
What you’ve come to learn is that there’s a third strategy nestled between fight or flight, often overlooked because of its passiveness in comparison to its overt counterparts: to freeze.
And that’s the instinct you’ve found yourself falling back on time and time again. As if you’re hoping to blend into the very fabric of the environment where you can pause amid the chaos, weigh the risks, and soundly determine the best course of action.
The downturn?
You’re left vulnerable and exposed the longer you wait.
But it’s a tactic that you’ve grown familiar with, and it’s the one that’s currently in motion.
“You can’t do this to her, she isn’t ready.”
“It’s been over a year, we can’t let her hide forever.”
The commotion of voices being thrown around surrounds you but you’re too swept up with the memories and emotions battling out in your head. They’re leaving you dizzy and disorientated.
One year. Had it really been that long? God. It feels like one month since you first signed your contract in front of a roomful of lawyers and high-powered executives. Back then, you were too naively charmed by the golden promises of stardom and fame that they were selling you. Promising that your talent for lyricism, bordering on poetry, would resonate with the hearts of girls who all seemed to unanimously share the parallel experiences of all things love and girlhood. That you needed a team that could provide you with the right connections and the right opportunities to get you there.
And to their credit, they didn’t fail you. As soon as you signed your contract, the label had you in the studio effective immediately with the release of “your” song debuting four weeks later.
“But I didn’t write this and it doesn’t really sound like me…”
“Don’t worry about it, honey. We just need to get you on the charts and then you can write about anything you want. Trust us - this is how it all works.”
And trust them you did.
Your song topped the charts for twelve consecutive weeks. The events that took place after your overnight success were a whirlwind. You released a music video. You did media interviews. You collabed with DJs to release remixes. You performed as a guest on endless TV shows. And when you were done, you thought that you would finally be able to sit down with your producers to start developing the library of ideas and single-line lyrics you had swimming around in your head.
But they had other plans for you in the form of a studio album, and then rinse and repeat. You felt like you were a human cannonball: shot out, forced to perform carefully curated tricks, and to always stick the landing.
Your team had done everything they could to meticulously craft your image; selectively allowing journalists to access certain stories whether it be about your work or your life. You were America’s Darling. Until you weren’t.
A sharp trill of your name grounds you back into reality. You blink and recompose yourself, finding the same four people you entered the boardroom with, staring expectantly back at you. Your mom, your manager, Megan, your publicist, Bec, and sat opposite you across the insanely large table is the VP of your label, Joe. Their expressions are ones you’ve grown used to: sympathetic and slightly defeated.
“Sorry, what was the question?”
Megan sighs and shifts slightly in her chair to meet your front. “Darling, I know how hard this year has been for you,”
Do you?
“But it’s time for us to come back out. We need to face this.”
In all the years you’ve worked with Megan, she has never offered you such softness in her voice as she has now. As a manager, a female manager in this industry nonetheless, she had been nothing short of headstrong, sharp, and commanding. Her confidence and demeanour never wavered and, if you were being honest, you were thankful that she held you to the same standard as the rest of your team. It equipped you with a thick skin, something that you wouldn’t have survived your young career without. And it leaves you to wonder where you would be now without her to guide you through this situation.
“Megan is right,” Joe says. “The world hasn’t forgotten, you know.”
It comes out so matter-of-factly that it feels almost accusatory.
“You’re not the first celebrity to be wrapped up in a scandal and you certainly won’t be the last.”
That line is enough to make your mom snap into a fury again.
“A scandal? She did nothing wrong,” she chastises. “What that boy did is not her fault.”
Joe’s impatience is growing evident with every turn of the conversation. As warranted as your mother’s protectiveness is for this particular circumstance, her resistance was stopping one of his biggest artists from bringing in the label money. You can tell he's trying his best to level his demeanour but you also know that the higher-ups are breathing down his neck. He's balancing it as well as anyone could.
“This wasn’t just any boy. And your daughter is not just any girl. The reality of the situation is that just because she wasn’t responsible for what happened, doesn’t mean we can simply erase her from it,” Joe breaks, voice raising ever so slightly.
“She cannot keep silent on this anymore and the longer we stretch this out, the more intense the backlash will be upon her,” he presses on. “With all due respect, we have been extremely patient and have afforded your daughter twelve months. But this is a business first and there is a contract to be upheld. We are giving you the opportunity to write the narrative or have it forced to be written for you.”
“He’s right,” Bec interjects. She’s always had a good gauge of when to step in when tensions start rising. It’s what makes her such a great publicist - always mediating at the right time.
“But we don’t have to rush either. We can take it slowly. Start off with a public appearance in a controlled environment.
The juxtaposition of that sentence could have made you laugh. Controlled environment? If the last few years had taught you anything, it was that no public appearance was ever fully in your control. Your phone number had been leaked more times than you could remember; the media showed up at your house at all hours of the night; private family events were invaded by obsessed “fans”.
Your mom was quick to make the same connection, “where could we possibly let her go that guarantees her safety?”
“The suite at MSG has their security system locked down to a tee. We could place her in there with a few friends and guise it as a quiet night out to show their support. Maybe work with the organisation to show her on the scoreboard during a break, totally candid of course, and maybe meet with their guest of the night for some fan engagement. We don’t want the public to misconstrue the appearance as a total cover-up.” Bec rattles off like it’s the most obvious thing in the world.
Megan and Joe start nodding in agreeance, chiming in with additional tweaks to the plan that’s now been laid out, and it becomes apparent to you that they’ve had this meeting before without you. Your requested input and presence on the matter was just an act of courtesy. But as vexed as you are with this realisation, you know it makes sense. You were tired of the pitied looks your family and friends gave you, afraid to broach the subject as if it would send you into a spiral. You felt like the public owned you; shunning you into silence with all your actions picked apart and psychoanalyzed everywhere you turned.
You missed your fans who called for you every day, writing sweet notes of encouragement and rebuffing shallow attempts of hate accounts concocting false stories. You wouldn’t be half the artist you are today without them and they deserved more than just radio silence. And it’s this last thought that makes you believe it’s the only reason you say:
“Just tell me when.”

You have been dating Chenle for seven months now and it is no surprise to you that your anniversary happens to fall on the same day as their third group comeback, ‘ISTJ.’ Both their managers and fans have not been so forgiving of you ever since your relationship came into fruition. Several complaints made their way to the company of Chenle allegedly taking sick days and leaving rehearsals early to be with you. It got worse when stolen photos of the two of you circulated online like wildfire on the day that he chose to ditch schedules. After New Years’ Day, the management released a statement about enforcing restrictions of all artists under the label from engaging with individuals outside professional relationships to avoid further mishaps that may hinder the flow of the business. This gut-wrenching news isolated you both but you knew exactly what you were getting into when you decided to join him in the public eye.
When the morning of your anniversary came, you were already used to waking up to cold mornings without Chenle. He trusted you enough to look after Daegal while he is at work but not even her presence could cheer you up. You only got to communicate with him through calls and last night, he had reassured you that his group was finishing up. Chenle was staring close through the screen, grinning while he reiterates how much he misses you. You let out a huge sigh before puckering your lips together to say goodbye as you ended the call.
You got up from the master bed and shimmied yourself up to look nice today. As you were showering, something at the back of your mind was eating out at you – How will this be any different from the last? What if I’m just another lost cause?
When you reached over to your closet, you saw the lustrous baby blue Sunday dress that you have been saving up to wear for weeks as it paired neatly with your black combat boots and faux leather handbag that Chenle got you last Christmas. You rushed downstairs to leave the house when suddenly your phone vibrated. It was a text from Chenle, he will unfortunately be working late tonight to make adjustments for the shoot. For a moment, you stood there frozen and stiff as your face dropped and your left hand made a fist. This always happens, you told yourself.
You caught yourself falling into the depths of despair since today was clearly a special occasion. You immediately locked the door behind you and walked outside with a stain in your heart. The cool breeze brushed through the locks of your hair, in the hopes of soothing your troubled soul when you spotted a perfume shop just around the corner. You were greeted by a variety of scents as you gracefully walked through the door of this well-lit establishment. After countless browsing, a Myrrh & Tonka cologne from Jo Malone caught your eye and took a few puffs from the sample available.
You were not notorious for using fragrances and Chenle knew that best. But the thought of wrapping yourself in a fresh bouquet of aromas unfamiliar to Chenle would surely have him by surprise. You picked up a piece and headed towards the cashier whose smile was glistening through the room.
“You find everything to your liking?” Jaehyun asked softly.
          “Yup!” You nodded.
“You know, a whiff of this sensational notes of almond and vanilla will have anyone under your spell. May I ask, who’s the lucky man?”
“Zhong Chenle. You couldn’t miss even if you tried, Jaehyun.”
“Right. Well, tell him I said hi!” He chuckled as you bid you farewell.
You left the store feeling accomplished when you gazed upon the vast, hazy sky around you and knew by then, it was already sundown. You had called a taxi and dashed through the car door to hopefully catch Chenle still at the building. The driver had dropped you off just outside when you felt a shiver down your spine.
You took a deep breath as you stepped through the main entrance when your phone started buzzing, an incoming call from Chenle. You shook off your nerves and ignored the needy hollers of your boyfriend. You exited from the elevator and sprinted towards the practice room to find the lawless space empty with plastic bottles and chips scattered messily around the floor. After some time passed, you caught a glimpse of his tumbler across from you and that was the information you needed.
You went to check on the bathroom only to see from your peripheral, a drowsy Chenle with his head buried in his knees. You crouched down as you elevated his face to meet yours when you realized how droopy his eyes were from today’s schedule.
“I’m here, baby.” You exclaimed as you rubbed sweat off his forehead.
“(Y/N)? I’ve been worried sick. You didn’t answer me all day! What’s going with you?” Chenle blurted out.
“Chenle, this whole fiasco got to me! Being away from you was torture itself. So, I came by to surprise you.”
“Baby, having you in my life was the biggest plot twist I could ever ask for. I would replay the very first moment my heart belonged to you.”
“Have you been drinking? I’ve never heard those words before especially coming from you. Well, you better get up before anyone sees you like this!”
When you tapped his shoulders signaling him to stand up, he swiftly grabbed your wrist in lightning speed and dragged you to one of the stalls. Chenle abruptly shuts the door behind him which made a loud thud as he is brimming with excitement. He sits on the toilet seat and spreads his legs like a king on the throne while checking you from top to bottom. Clicking his tongue and smacking his thigh, encouraging you to delicately plop yourself onto him. Chenle had that smug expression wearing nothing but his black sweatpants, GSW T-shirt and white rubber shoes.
“Chenle, you’ll get your ass beat if your manager storms in on us!” You said incredulously.
“Baby girl, they’re never gonna find out because I know how to shut that beautiful mouth of yours.” Chenle remarked confidently with a smirk.
“This is serious, dude. I’m not taking my clothes off, you maniac!”
“Ugh, you’re no fun. Just sit on my lap. I need you close, baby.”
You diligently abide by his request and the next thing you know, Chenle’s hands are in between your thighs which makes you quiver. You promptly frowned at him, refusing to let him near you when all of a sudden, he took one hand away to cup your cheeks and pulled you in a deep, passionate yet sloppy kiss. The hand then travelled down your neck where he tightens his grip, making you scoff out a little cough. The moment you parted with his lips to catch your breath you throw your head back as you were holding onto his shoulders for support when he took notice of your scent.
“Baby, you smell so fucking good. What’d you put on?”
“Jo Malone perfume I bought from Jaehyun. I’ll explain later. You’ve a lot of catching up to do, mister.”
“Whatever you say, princess.” Chenle uttered under his breath as he flashed his signature crescent moon smile.
The further your bodies were intertwined, the more he got captivated by your scent. You completely lost yourself under your boyfriend’s touch when you hear footsteps outside the stall. Stomping loudly towards your direction, your eyes widen and hid your face onto his chest. When you hear the twist of the knob turn, you had already hoped it was his manager to usher you out of this hellhole. Instead, you glanced up to see a tall man hovering the both of you with a confused look plastered on his face. It was Park Jisung, all dressed in black ever so handsomely.
“Sorry, I didn’t know this was occupied. Hi (Y/N)! It’s been so long.” Jisung said as he scratches the back of his scalp.
“Hey, it was a surprise for this guy!” You stated as you tilt your head.
“Excuse me! Jisung, do you mind?” Chenle vocalized, motioning his hands together in a brisk fashion because he was already vexed at his best friend for walking in on you two.
“Yeah, I’m leaving. Bye (Y/N), it was really nice seeing you again!” Jisung responded with a playful wink as he closed the door.
You could sense Chenle fuming behind you, arguably pissed off from Jisung’s remark as you played along. Chenle’s cheeks had never gotten this red before, you could spot his furrowed brows and face flushed when you turned around to see him pouting his lips. This was one of the few times you ever saw your boyfriend sulky and admittedly enough, you found it cute.
“Aww, why the long face?” You said teasingly, pinching his plum cheeks.
“Because you seem to like Jisung more than me.” Chenle muttered defeatedly, shifting his gaze and not meeting yours.
“When we locked eyes for the first time, my heart knew what I needed and it was you. In a million timelines, I’d choose you. Chenle, you’re my north star.” You lovingly affirmed his tense face as you leaned closer and planted one last kiss.

charles definitely would tease max all night in club by giving him drinks, knowing that max not using public bathrooms. one moment he ended up sitting on charles lap and that was great moment, because how max was squirming from desperation on charles’ dick with only jeans between them is not something that alpha could handle right now. that night was hot for them🤭
i think that then they would explore new kinks. like it obvious that max had something for charles waist, and charles for post race max. but since that “incident” they wanted to explore more hard kinks…
one of their favourite things is trying to have sex in some semi public places, like clubs or in garages where everyone could hear them. one day charles would fuck max on the open space in their yacht somewhere in the middle of see… his omega would still would be embarrassed whem some worker on their yacht couldn’t look in his eyes every time young alpha sees him. because apparently charles didn’t let his omega be quiet. and ofc lots of toys would be used… that “accident” after race opened sorts of pandora box in their sexual life
someday in future after their baby would born, they count down months and discover that they conceived their baby in some weird kinky way
Great anon!
Alpha Charles packing some bags for a day out on the yacht. He has blankets and cushions so they can make a little nest incase Max wants to nap. He also has a nice picnic packed with all his omega's favourite treats.
Then he has a third bag that omega Max peaks inside of and sees vibrators and handcuffs and a little crop. Max knows that he is going to have a great time. Having sex on a yacht out in the open is exciting but even more exciting than that for Max is Charles spanking him until he's falling into subspace whilst the air is cool and fresh and the sound of the water rocks him to sleep.
Conceiving a baby during the kinkiest sex session they have ever had would be very fitting. Probably not a story they are going to share with the kids though 😂

The Palestinian Authority is mulling the possibility of declaring financial bankruptcy, Kan Reshet Bet, Israel’s Public Broadcasting service, reported on Wednesday. The decision would entail the complete closure of P.A. government offices, leading to possible instability in Judea and Samaria, as the P.A. is the largest employer in the areas under its control. A large number of Palestinian security personnel have already resigned and are looking for work in the private sector, the news site reported. In recent months, they have been receiving 80% of their salaries, and many have gone into debt, upon which the banks close their accounts. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told a Knesset panel recently that the P.A. would not be allowed to fail. “We need the Palestinian Authority. We cannot allow it to collapse. We also do not want it to collapse. We are ready to help it financially. We have an interest in the P.A. continuing to work. Where it succeeds in operating, it does the job for us. And we have no interest in it falling,” said Netanyahu, according to Kan. Tensions are already high in Judea and Samaria, as the P.A. appears to have effectively lost control of northern Samaria, and violence has increased dramatically. More right-wing members of Netanyahu’s coalition have called for a tougher military response following a string of incidents, including a terror attack near the Samaria community of Eli on June 20 that left four Israelis dead, and an Israeli military operation that ran into tough resistance in Jenin, requiring the unusual use of an Apache gunship to ensure soldiers’ safe extraction. On Monday, two rockets were launched by terrorists in Jenin, though without warheads.
In spite of this alleged impending bankruptcy, I assume Abbas is still a billionaire. I also assume that this is probably a thinly disguised demand from Abbas and the PA to the international community (the West) for more money. My third assumption is that a good amount of this money will end up in Abbas' and his cronies' pockets, and another large chunk will go to funding the PA's popular "Pay-to-Slay" program.

Hakuoki - Record of Curious Tales: Katana and Samurai #8, Kofuzumi Okitomo
well, this is the last of these that I can translate. sorry it's a bit late but I had a difficult time tracking down the sword name mentioned in this. Also, I won't be doing Sannan's since I got contacted for the raws... and I won't say no to not translating though I need to figure out what I'll do next.
Anyway, I ended up not working on this sooner than I would have liked... and I think the heat's getting to me again. (┬┬﹏┬┬) fucking hate summer.

Hakuoki - Record of Curious Tales: Katana and Samurai #8, Kofuzumi Okitomo
Translation by KumoriYami
2nd year of Keiou, 4th month——
The Shinsengumi Seventh Division Captain, Tani Sanjuro died. The cause of death seemed to be the result of a personal fight, where he was unilaterally beheaded/sliced then killed, and the identity of the perpetrator was unknown. Although Hijikata Toshizou ordered the Watch to secretly investigate, there were ultimately no results. As a result, the real cause of Tani Sanjuro's death was never made public, and he was declared to have died suddenly.
Tani Sanjurou was the eldest son of three brothers in the Tani family, and in the fall of the third year of Bunkyuu, he enlisted with the second son Mantaro and the last son, Shuuhei. The Tani brothers had originally run a swordsmanship dojo in Osaka, but the eldest son, who usually practised Jikishin-ryu [I think?] and Shinkage-ryu [新陰流], served as the Shinsengumi's spearmanship instructor. Both of them participated in the Ikedaya Incident and were awarded for their outstanding contributions.
The members of the Shinsengumi were very troubled by Tani Sanjurou's murder. There was no way that a Captain of the Shinsengumi would get killed in a private fight while drunk. Due to how this matter could not be made public, the cause of Tani's death was buried in darkness.
After the incident was resolved, the second son, Tani Mantaro, decided to leave the Shinsengumi. Although the Shinsengumi was thought of as an organization that you couldn't leave after you joining, that wasn't the case. If a member had a reason that the executives could understand, they would be allowed to leave. That was to say that Mantaro's reason for leaving was sufficient to Vice-Commander, Hijikata Toshizou.
On the night Tani Mantaro left, Harada Sanosuke was summoned by Hijikata to his room.
"So does the reason you called me here have something to to with Tani Mantaro leaving? Let me tell you, I don't know anything about why he's quitting."
As soon as he entered the room, Harada sat down with a slightly dissatisfied expression as he spoke. Seeing Harada like this, HIjikata helplessly shrugged his shoulders.
I don't have the slightest doubts about you. That guy went back to the Matsuyama Domain [松山藩] instead [in place?] of his brother."
The unexpected answer made Harada somewhat bewildered.
"…Huh. So that's how it is. I thought he quit because he couldn't stand the way Sanjuro was treated. So is Shuuhei, the youngest son, going to go too?"
"No, I heard that his return goes smoothly, then Shuuhei will be called."
"I see… In that case, why did you allow him to leave so easily? Is that really okay? Won't our internal affairs leak out?"
"…Hmm. I don't want him to intentionally speak ill of the Shinsengumi to Lord Matsuyama when he returns and cause unnecessary difficulties. Besides, we can make something about our internal situation [I think…?]
"That's true. You're as shrewd as ever when it comes to those sorts of things. So exactly what did you call me here for?"
In response to this question, Hijikata stood up and took out a long spear from teh corner of the room, and placed it in front of Harada.
"Actually, when Tani Mantaro left, he left this spear for you."
"Ah… Is this… for me?"
"Although it's nameless, it looks like a good spear. It's workmanship and quality have already been checked out, but I don't know about spears. How about it, do you want to use it?"
"In the end, doing something like one who would act as a master... Then I'll gracefully accept it."
When Harada was younger, he briefly lived in Osaka and learned how to use the spear under the guidance of Tani Mantaro. It was that reason why the Tani brothers Shinsengumi wasn't because Harada was there or they wanted to rely on him, but because that of his experience as his former master made the eldest brother, Sanjurou, quite proud/bossy.
As Hijikata gazed at Harada holding the spear in his hands, he suddenly remembered something and asked.
"…Speaking of which, your sword. Didn't it break during the Ikedaya Incident? Are you still using it?"
"Yeah, though it looks like it'll still be usable if I sharpen/polish it. I mainly use the spear so that sword's enough for me."
"With your salary, you should be able to buy a better sword, right? If you don't have enough, I can lend you some. Sword are used to protect lives so even if they're a bit expensive, you need to have a good sword."
"While I appreciate you saying that..."
"What, do you have feelings for that sword?"
Harada didn't respond and instead let his eyes wander to look into the distance.
Kofuzumi Okitomo. [江府住興友]
It was a sword wielded by a man who was like a brother that he knew from Osaka. That person gave up the pursuit of his dreams with Harada to start a family with a woman. He said that he wouldn't fight anymore for his woman's sake ever again and he removed his katana from his waist and gave it to Harada.
It was said that Harada, who left by himself, decided to go to Edo after reading the inscription on the sword which said "Kofu".
"…Yeah, sort of. I received this sword from a very important guy."
As Harada spoke with a smile and Hijikata did not ask any further.
---end---
I had spent more than 30 minutes trying to find the name of Harda's sword. I couldn't tell what the raw said (I am extremely bad with stylized writing) so what I thought was the 3rd character was wrong and that kept getting me Chinese results which are not helpful when looking up Japanese names. Eventually, I just tried looking up 新選組 の愛刀 to get the names of them... which eventually got me 江府住興友 though finding something in English took a while since all the google translations of the name didn't get me results so I had to keep spelling the romancized text in different ways... then gave up and just tried Harada and Kofu a few times before pulling up the name.

WHO: Laurie Lewis and Kaya Canowicakte WHEN: 2nd of June, 1989’ (Friday Night) WHERE: A Storm Drain (Outskirts of Salem). TYPE: Closed
With Laurie manning the carnival for another night—sorry Laurie, he really had to catch on to the fact that all the straws she had cut up in her hand were the dreaded short ones—it left Kaya manning one of the phones in Essex County's Sheriff's department. The night was, well, she refused to say it or even think it, because the moment she did, she knew—ring, ring. Damn. Curses. "Essex County Sheriff's department, Kaya Conow—" She was cut off. The frantic voice of her caller made it hard to get a word in edgewise. "Ma'am, you're going to need to calm down. What did you say you found?" She paused. A body? Around here? Had to be some druggie from New York, surely. Though, what had he been doing so far north? "We'll be right over. Don't let anyone come near if you can." She hated leaving the public to protect a crime scene; they were always so touchy, so curious.
Knowing she wouldn't be allowed to investigate a crime scene alone, she left her desk and dipped her head into her uncle's office. "I just got a call from out near Rosie Atwell's place. Apparently, she's come across a body in the storm drain. It's probably just a drug addict from New York who overdosed, but do you want me to bring Laurie?" She watched as he acknowledged her and her request with a wave of his hand and an unspoken reminder to tread carefully when entering the reserve if she decided to cut across it to save ten minutes. She wouldn't, but she knew.
After checking her gun, she hopped into her car and radioed Laurie, "Enough corn dogs for you, pudgy. We've got a body rotting in a storm drain twenty miles north of the carnival. Let's go and confirm it's another lost druggie from New York so you can get back to cleaning vomit off those shiny boots of yours." Yes, she'd heard all about that incident the other night. "I'm leaving now. I'll meet you there in twenty."
With the car's radio playing the latest call-in request to Stevie Wayne, Kaya shifted her car into gear and turned the dark roads yellow with her headlights. What a way to end her Friday night. Nothing like latex gloves, a rotting corpse, and the possibility of a few rats to kick her weekend off. Well, at least she had Pizza Planet on speed dial back at her trailer.
Pulling up at the scene, Kaya let the sound of latex hitting her skin with a snap join in sync with the rain that had decided now would be the perfect time to fall. At least the body was somewhat covered in that storm drain below the bridge she'd pulled up on. She looked up, connecting eyes with Laurie, who'd arrived first. "So what have we got here? Another one?" She'd thought New York was supposed to get better this year… cleaner… well, call the mayor again, because this was her third overdose in two months.

CANDYHEARTZ ── 2OO7 ─ 2O1O. NPC.
STRMRUNNER Media’s, known to the public as SWARM Entertainment at the time, first boy group and their sucker punch into the music industry. unfortunately, the success would be short lived as they'd be hit with tragedy at one of the high points of their careers, but their impact on the industry was undeniable.
GLITZ&GO ── 2OO8 ─ 2O11. NPC.
the sister group to CandyHeartz. with closely related concepts and an unshakable bond between the members, it wasn't much of a shock to fans at the time when they chose to disband only months after their brothers following the incident.
CH3RRY ── 2O11 ─ 2O11. NPC.
reeling from the loss of their two biggest cash cows and desperate to regroup, this trio of lively young spirits would burst through the door only to leave as soon as they came. after a quiet disbandment behind the shadows, SWARM Ent. was once again left with nothing.
INSTELLAR ── 2O12 ─ 2O15. NPC.
some believed INSTELLAR to be the end-all save-all group for swarm entertainment; they had skyrocketed in popularity following their debut and seemed destined for great success, just like their past seniors. but placed under similar circumstances to CandyHeartz, this time with the unfortunate end of ceo park daeseong, they’d fall just short of the stars and would come to disband only months before their third anniversary.
REMIIX ── 2O13 ─ 2O14. NPC.
many speculated that ceo park daeseong had started to take what the public has dubbed "The Candy Curse" with much more seriousness, debuting this ragtag group of teens and young adults only a year after INSTELLAR. however, despite the big craze surrounding them, their careers would be cut short following the aftermath of a devastating dating scandal and countless cold rumours.
SO(U)L ── 2O18 ─ PRESENT. ACTIVE.
the first group to debut under the newly titled STRMRUNNER Media. coming out of nowhere near the end of 2O18, the seven would go on to be known as the record breakers in the industry and are regarded as one of the best boy groups. much to the chagrin of antis, their predecessors adore them.

Saving women’s sports is more than just keeping men out of women’s sporting events. It's also about keeping predatory men with pronouns away from women and girls.
ByYuliah Alma August 23, 2023
A Gettysburg, Pennsylvania High School is making headlines over the school board’s debate on whether or not to re-hire a trans-identified male coach for the school’s female tennis team. Sasha Yates, born David, has reportedly been subject to complaint after he frequented the girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms on several occasions.
Reduxx spoke directly to board member Michelle Smyers, who reviewed the reprimand against Yates for the first time.
The reprimand outlined two separate incidents in September of 2022 involving Yates undressing in the girls’ locker room.
While a previous report by the Epoch Times had made the public aware of two of the occurrences, Smyers revealed that there were in fact three: twice in September of last year, and once again this past April. While using the girls’ locker rooms and restrooms, Yates sparked fear and discomfort from female students in addition to concern from their parents.
Yates had initially been hired by Gettysburg Area School District in 2018 while still identifying as a male, but in 2022, he began using the name Sasha after he declared that he was transgender. Reduxx learned that he had two children who appear to live in the United Kingdom with their mother.
In the fall of 2022, shortly after Yates began “identifying” as female and using women’s facilities, he stripped down to “a bra and panties” in the girls’ locker room where the teen soccer team was changing.
A board member with the district told The Epoch Times in their exclusive that the female students reported that “it was clear from what they saw that Mr. Yates was still fully a man.”
Two members of the school board have daughters playing on the soccer team, one of whom was present when the incident took place.
But a third incident has now been brought to light after Smyers and other board members were finally granted access to the administration’s reprimand against him from last fall. To their shock, not one, but two instances were outlined in September. Smyers said she believes that Yates released the same document to the Gettysburg Times upon knowing that it was finally revealed to the board.
Smyers confirmed that the first incident did involve Yates undressing down to his “bra and panties,” as previously reported.
According to the reprimand issued to Yates, many of the female students said they were uncomfortable with the man’s presence in the facility, as well as with the comments he made to the girls.
“I was too busy picking my jaw up off the floor when I read it,” Smyers said. “Because the second incident outlined where he’d gone into the same locker room and was discussing with the girls in there — talking to them about their menstrual cycles and what type of panties they like to wear.”
Smyers expressed that she was incredulous at the revelations, which went far beyond Yates simply using the changing area.

“Jerry Sandusky was from Pennsylvania, for crying out loud. Didn’t we learn anything from Jerry Sandusky? You know? Adults don’t belong in the locker room while kids are in there dressing,” Smyers remarked, referring to the notorious serial child molester who sexually abused at least eight young boys at Central Mountain High School while working as a football coach.
Smyers also questioned why Yates had been undressing in the first place.
“It’s tennis… why are you changing? You’re a part-time coach, you didn’t come to practice ready to coach?”
On April 12, months after his initial reprimand was issued by the school, Yates still took the liberty of using the girls’ restroom while one 16-year-old student was already inside. He followed the girl into the bathroom and “tried to strike up a conversation” with the minor, but she walked out of the facilities.
The girl texted her softball coach while she was still inside the restroom and expressed her concern for her safety. Her father, Steve Carbaugh, told The Epoch Times that this made his daughter very uncomfortable as it was just her and Yates alone in the bathroom.
Carbaugh said, “My job as a parent is to protect my child. And he had no business going into that bathroom, and his actions proved that he cannot be trusted. He went into a girls’ locker room and changed while the girls varsity soccer team was in there. They talked to him about it. And he went into a girls’ restroom facility. When is enough enough? He is not being penalized because of what he calls himself. He needs to be penalized because of his actions and the fact that he can’t follow directions. This is a grown man, going into a bathroom with a juvenile female. That’s a problem. That’s a huge problem.”
Mr. Carbaugh was told that month that Mr. Yates would not return as the tennis coach for the following season, so he decided to let the matter go.
Yates provided Gettysburg Times with the reprimand letter that Smyers reviewed, but denied having the conversation with the teens about menstruation cycles, saying he didn’t recall it. Yates did admit that the other incidents occurred, “but not in the way that has been previously reported.”
He also revealed that after the reprimand was issued, he was given a key to use a single-stall restroom that sports personnel, such as referees, are designated to use, but asserted that federal law allows him to use “any bathroom.”
Despite the complaints from parents and students, Dr. Leigh Dalton, a solicitor for the school, “convinced” members of the board not to fire Yates immediately, and instead insisted the school simply decline to re-hire him for the following season due to concerns about litigation.
But Yates’ name reappeared in July on the hiring list for the coaching post.
Smyers told Reduxx that when she saw the name “Sasha,” she initially thought she was reviewing whether or not they’d be hiring a new female coach. She had only learned about Yates’ identity “as a woman” last fall but had been told after the bathroom incident that “the issue was being taken care of,” and that Yates would not be brought back.
Earlier this month, on August 7, the school board held a vote on whether or not Yates should be rehired. The vote was 3-3, with one person abstaining from voting.
Dalton then allegedly issued a warning “urging the board to rehire Mr. Yates to avoid the risk of litigation.”
The next meeting, which was held August 21, had Yates’ employment on its agenda to be voted on by board members once again. The agenda noted Yates’ coaching salary as $2,682. The day of the second board meeting, America First Legal revealed they were representing Smyers due to concerns that Yates may take legal action against her or the district in the event they voted against re-hiring him.
Reduxx attended the most recent board meeting and witnessed over 25 members of the public provide input on whether they felt Yates should be again retained as girl’s tennis coach.
Several of the speakers held clear contempt for Smyers, accusing her of “transphobia” and alleging that she has made “hateful and biased comments against the LGBTQ community.” These individuals, in some cases, received loud applause and a standing ovation from those present at the meeting.
Many speakers cited suicide rates in transgender adolescents in their defense of retaining Yates’ employment with the school.
One father read a letter on behalf of his son, who was not present. The former tennis player for the high school stated: “Sasha is a woman. Over the past four years I have watched her realize this, and have watched as she has transitioned into her true self,” going on to urge those motioning not to rehire Yates to “fix their hearts.”
That young man’s mother, Dr. Sonya Deltredici, spoke after her husband and identified herself as a leader of an “LGBT health curriculum” at York Hospital. She said, “It does not hurt our children to be in the presence of trans people… What hurts our children is discrimination against trans people.”
Another man in defense of Yates, who shared that he teaches critical race theory, said: “If any of my grandchildren play tennis… I’m frankly not worried about this if they come under coach Yates’ teaching and care because I trust God to take care of them.”
Only three of the speakers addressed Yates’ use of the girls’ private spaces.
Eddy Fleming, father and concerned citizen, echoed the woman’s statement, saying: “I’m really gravely concerned because there’s been a lot of very well-educated and very impassioned people tonight conflating this issue and making this a trans issue … what this is about is that there was an adult coach who went into the students’ bathroom, went into the students locker room and changed there … that’s really what this is about, and we have to protect our students…”
Smyers believes that the administration is “hiding behind Title XII” which prevents discrimination on the basis of a protected characteristic, but shared that she doesn’t believe it should grant anyone special privileges.
She reiterated that she would find these actions inappropriate regardless of what staff member it was.
Smyers said she believes a lot of parents and other community members are afraid to speak out against Yates because they could face the same accusations of “transphobia” and “hate” that she’s faced.
She told Reduxx that the claims labeling her a bigot are “absurd and patently false,” but feels the backlash towards her has served as a warning for others.
“They’ll get the reaction that I’ve gotten, and people don’t want that. They don’t want to be labelled. They don’t want other people to think that they’re transphobic or anti-gay… they’re afraid of that. They forget that those words don’t mean anything. They’re just words. But, you know, it’s a psychological warfare,” Smyers said.
“I’m not that person, I’ve never been that person. I think they call me [transphobic and hateful] because I’m the chapter chair of Moms for Liberty.”
Smyers explained that she has faced abuse from trans activists in the past, and recalled a Moms for Liberty event she attended earlier this summer in Philadelphia where she was subject to misogynistic remarks about her body being yelled at her through a bullhorn.
She told Reduxx that she also “took a lot of crap” from the public in the past because she “went after some of inappropriate books in [the] school.” Smyers said she had condemned the book “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” not because the author is gay but because the book discussed flavored condoms used between two juvenile boys engaging in anal sex.
Smyers asserted she has no intentions of voting to retain Yates, and said she doesn’t trust him. While she explained that she was not speaking for her fellow board members, she does believe there may be at least two others who will vote against Yates’ employment.
The August 21 board meeting moved to postpone the decision to reinstate Yates. The next meeting is scheduled for September 5. In the interim, the girls’ tennis team does not currently have an official coach, but had their first match on August 22, their first day of the school year.

cw suicide (not mine, I'm just venting), cw abuse
in 2017 i moved in with a girl because nobody would rent to her on her own. we were good friends and i knew full well that we wouldn't be by the time i moved out. given that she would be homeless otherwise, i did it. she made multiple suicide attempts during this period, each of which is seared into my memory. the first time she went into my room and stole all my benzos trying to overdose (thankfully benzos alone are pretty hard to die from unless you fall down the stairs or something). it was like 4am. she then demanded that i give her more (there were no more, she didn't believe me) or she'd leave and kill herself and it would be my fault. the second time she texted me the note while i was at work and i had to spend 45 minutes on public transport terrified that there was a corpse waiting for me at the end. when i got there someone had called an ambulance so my home was full of paramedics and cops. the bathtub was full of blood and she needed to get a ton of stitches at the hospital. i couldn't bring myself to put my arm in the tub and drain it so until she came home i couldn't go for a piss without seeing it and thinking about what i very nearly came back to. the third time she spent maybe a fortnight telling me she was going to kill herself on her birthday and if i told anyone or tried to stop her then she'd do it earlier. she'd sit in her room blasting the same incredibly depressing song over and over for two straight weeks while i just sat in bed hearing it through the wall and crying and not knowing what to do. one time she left a note and took some rope and disappeared in the middle of the night and i was searching through the woods in pitch darkness for over an hour trying to find her, again terrified that i'd get there too late. there were a bunch more incidents like this.
this was 18 months of my life, 18 months of constant hypervigilance for any kind of slight change in tone or behaviour that might indicate something was about to happen again. being the only other person around, her anger and frustration would get projected onto me, manifesting as constant emotional manipulation and abuse. any problems i had were a personal insult because i hadn't gone through what she'd been through. anything i did, literally as far as buying food for her dog because he'd run out, would turn into hours-long struggle sessions where every aspect of my character was torn to shreds. accusations that i was some kind of predator who'd only moved in because i was trying to fuck her came up a lot.
i got deeper into pills, i was getting shitfaced every night, i wasn't socialising, i was barely sleeping. by the end i was literally just staring at the walls silently because i was scared to do anything else. i couldn't leave because she had no means of supporting herself and the added stress might have been the final straw that killed her. even after she told me to leave, i kept paying rent for months because she couldn't afford it. she spent those months texting me more abuse, telling me on one occasion that I should kill myself.
there's no real point to this, i just need to vent it somewhere. it's been 5 years since i moved out and im still paralysed with anxiety whenever i do anything. i can't go to shows anymore, i can't meet people, im silent all the time because im scared to make noise. i freak out if im doing anything and i can hear someone talking because im afraid that i'll seem like im ignoring them, which was a massive flashpoint in that house. i barely leave the house to do anything. i feel like i haven't relaxed in years, im constantly on edge now because i had to be back then as a matter of life and death.
i never got any closure in any of this. i think about this girl every single day when some horrible memory or other bubbles up in my brain. i can close my eyes right now and see the bathtub where she slashed her wrists. i can see her at my bedroom door yelling at me to give her drugs that i didn't have. i don't know if she's alive. i can't talk to anybody about it. i tried to help my friend and it ruined my life.

sotiris de leora: newsletter;
November heralds Sotiris’ winter season, but temperatures are still warm enough to enjoy the island’s black sand beaches, lush rainforests, and big waves. Day temperatures will reach the low 80s, and you’ll see cold weather at night when temperatures can drop into the high 60s. The Sotiris council suggests taking advantage of the balmy daytime temperatures with waterfall hikes and rain forest walks, though warmth can always be found in the meditation coves or the natural hotsprings just outside the Hunter’s Warren.
During November, the average rainfall in Sotiris is around four to five inches —the third rainiest month after December and January. Since temperatures fall as you venture above sea level, you may even need to take a jacket with you if you plan to venture deep into the forest. Hunters are advised to ready their winter gear and Starfleet soldiers who do not tolerate the chill well should prepare their cold-weather uniforms.
The volume of Collective vacationers is expected to dip, but the Council believes expatriate settlers will continue to increase over the winter months as transport ships are still scheduled on a regular basis. Due to the incident at the food and wine festival, the festival scheduled for November has been cancelled until the subject or subjects responsible are found. The Sotiris Council apologizes for the inconvenience, but they must put the safety of citizens above all else. To make up for the lack of festivities, they have scheduled an Allies Gala for the night of the 24th, to be hosted by at the Collective Embassy. More information about this event will be released by our journalists on Friday the 11th.
Lastly, the Sotiris Council would like remind all citizens that recreational substances legal on Collective planets have not yet been approved by the council for use on Leora! We can confirm University Lecturer Marli Woodglade successfully awakened as an Archlord cultivator, but rumors this advancement was due to her being dosed with Dorian at the food and wine festival are completely unfounded. The Sotiris Council will be sending additional samples of Dorian to the hospital for testing, but reminds the general public that in the meantime, using this unknown drug for the possibility of advancement to Underlord and Archlord respectively, is highly dangerous.
Thank you, and have a wonderful November here on Sotiris.
TLDR; INFORMATION
Balmy weather, medium humidity
Warm water at the beach during the day, chilly at night
Drugs continue to be a problem. Dorian in particular is in high demand.
There is a rumor going around that high doses of Dorian can help Leorans advance from highgold to underlord, and from underlord to archlord. This rumor has driven up the price of Dorian as well as its demand in the city

Spectrum WiFi security
Spectrum WiFi security is a crucial aspect of ensuring a safe and protected online experience for users. With the increasing prevalence of cyber threats and hacking incidents, maintaining a secure WiFi network is more important than ever.
When setting up a Spectrum WiFi network, there are several steps that users can take to enhance the security of their connection. Firstly, it is essential to choose a strong and unique password for the WiFi network. Avoid using easily guessable passwords such as "password123" or "12345678". Instead, opt for a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters to create a strong and secure password.
In addition to setting up a strong password, users should also consider enabling WPA (WiFi Protected Access) encryption on their Spectrum WiFi network. WPA encryption helps protect the data transmitted over the network from being intercepted by unauthorized users. By enabling WPA encryption, users can add an extra layer of security to their WiFi connection.
Furthermore, users should regularly update the firmware of their Spectrum WiFi router to ensure that it is equipped with the latest security patches and updates. Outdated router firmware can leave the network vulnerable to security breaches, so it is crucial to stay up to date with firmware updates.
By following these security measures and implementing best practices, users can significantly enhance the security of their Spectrum WiFi network and reduce the risk of falling victim to cyber attacks. Prioritizing WiFi security is key to safeguarding sensitive data and enjoying a safe and secure online experience.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) benefits
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) offers a plethora of benefits, making it an indispensable tool for individuals and businesses alike. Here are some key advantages:
Enhanced Security: One of the primary benefits of using a VPN is the bolstered security it provides. By encrypting your internet connection, VPNs ensure that your data remains secure and protected from potential hackers, especially when using public Wi-Fi networks. This encryption prevents unauthorized access to your sensitive information, such as passwords, financial details, and personal communications.
Privacy Protection: VPNs enable users to maintain their privacy online by masking their IP address and concealing their online activities from prying eyes. This means that ISPs, governments, advertisers, and other third parties cannot track your browsing habits or monitor your online behavior. As a result, users can browse the web anonymously and enjoy greater freedom online.
Access to Restricted Content: VPNs allow users to bypass geographical restrictions and access content that may be blocked or censored in their region. By connecting to servers located in different countries, users can unlock websites, streaming services, and other online content that may be unavailable in their location. This is particularly useful for travelers who wish to access their favorite websites and services from anywhere in the world.
Improved Performance: In addition to security and privacy benefits, VPNs can also improve internet performance by reducing latency and increasing bandwidth. By connecting to servers closer to their physical location, users can experience faster connection speeds and smoother online streaming and gaming experiences.
Remote Access: For businesses, VPNs provide a secure means of remote access to corporate networks and resources. Employees can connect to the company's VPN from anywhere in the world, allowing them to work remotely while still accessing internal systems, files, and applications securely.
Overall, the benefits of using a VPN extend far beyond just security and privacy, making it an essential tool for anyone looking to safeguard their online presence and enhance their internet experience.

WiFi network protection
Protecting your WiFi network is essential to safeguarding your personal information and preventing unauthorized access to your network. With the increasing number of devices connected to WiFi networks, it has become more critical than ever to ensure the security of your connection. Here are some tips to help you protect your WiFi network:
Change the default settings: When setting up your WiFi network, make sure to change the default username and password. Default login credentials are often easily accessible online, making it simple for hackers to gain access to your network.
Enable encryption: Enable WPA2 or WPA3 encryption on your WiFi router to secure your connection. Encryption helps prevent unauthorized users from intercepting and accessing data transmitted over your network.
Use strong passwords: Create a strong, unique password for your WiFi network that includes a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters. Avoid using common or easily guessable passwords to enhance the security of your network.
Enable network encryption: Utilize network encryption protocols such as HTTPS and VPNs when accessing sensitive information online to protect your data from potential threats.
Update firmware regularly: Keep your router's firmware up to date to ensure that known security vulnerabilities are patched. Regularly checking for firmware updates can help protect your WiFi network from emerging threats.
By following these tips, you can enhance the security of your WiFi network and minimize the risk of unauthorized access or data breaches. Stay vigilant and proactive in protecting your network to safeguard your personal information and ensure a secure online experience.
VPN options for Spectrum WiFi
When it comes to securing your internet connection, using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) can be a smart choice, especially when using Spectrum WiFi. Spectrum WiFi, like any public Wi-Fi network, can pose security risks, making it essential to protect your online activities from potential threats.
Fortunately, there are several VPN options available for Spectrum WiFi users to enhance their privacy and security:
ExpressVPN: Known for its fast speeds and strong encryption, ExpressVPN offers servers in multiple locations worldwide, allowing users to bypass geo-restrictions and access content securely.
NordVPN: With a user-friendly interface and robust security features, NordVPN is another popular choice. It offers double encryption for added protection and has a large network of servers.
CyberGhost: Ideal for beginners, CyberGhost offers easy-to-use apps for various devices. It provides strong encryption and has specialized servers optimized for streaming and torrenting.

Will Bitcoin Crash?
Whether you're a seasoned investor or just a beginner, you may be curious as to whether or not the future of the crypto currency, Bitcoin, is bright. But there are some factors to consider before you make a decision.
China's crackdown on crypto
Despite the uncertainty surrounding China's crackdown on crypto, there's no indication that this latest action will be the final nail in the coffin for the country's crypto industry. Analysts say the country's actions could be a sign that it's having trouble keeping the crypto market from spiraling out of control.
China's government has been increasingly wary of the virtual currency market over the last several months. They've emphasized the need to control financial technology, and have put in place a number of strict regulations for cryptocurrencies. They've also announced that they're going to crack down on the activity, citing concerns that crypto miners are a threat to energy consumption and trade stability.
As a result of the crackdown, many of China's crypto mining operations have shut down. China also barred payment firms from doing business with virtual currencies, which hit major coins and crypto stocks.
Chinese officials say they're worried about money laundering and the outflow of hard-to-track currency. They've also said they're concerned about the volatility of cryptocurrencies. The country is also preparing to introduce a digital version of its yuan currency, which will give the central bank more control over money flows.
Speculative nature of cryptocurrency
Earlier this year the Department of Labor issued a compliance assistance release that focused on 401(k) investments in cryptocurrencies. The release highlights the potentially speculative nature of such investments, as well as regulatory and valuation issues. It also warns that the risks associated with such investments are not well understood by participants.
While many investors view cryptocurrencies as a promising investment, they may not be aware of the risks involved. The Department of Labor warns employers that it is important to take extreme care in making investments in cryptocurrencies.
Cryptocurrency is considered a speculative investment because it generates no cash flows, does not have a regulated backing and is subject to regulatory uncertainty. In addition, the price of cryptocurrencies may rise or fall dramatically over short or long periods of time.
Cryptocurrencies use "blockchains" as a distributed database to record all transactions. It also records the ownership of a cryptocurrency. The blockchain also acts as a security feature.
Despite the speculative nature of cryptocurrencies, the value of the coins may be greater than their price. Some observers believe that cryptocurrencies have the potential to become the next global currency.
Impact of bitcoin on society
Using a virtual currency like Bitcoin allows individuals to purchase goods and services from anywhere in the world. The process is instant and inexpensive. As a result, more and more people are accepting Bitcoin.
This digital currency also eliminates the need for third parties. Transaction fees are lowered, which is another important benefit. This may help reduce the incidence of corruption. In addition, the public ledger of all Bitcoin transactions can help to tackle corruption.
Cryptocurrencies also offer an alternative to currency zones. This may make it harder for governments to regulate the movement of money. It could also encourage the culture of digital extortion.
As a result, there is a need for a suitable regulatory framework for this new technology. Many economists believe that national debt could skyrocket during dramatic swings in the price of cryptocurrencies.
There are also issues related to money laundering. Since the coins are not issued by a central bank, they are difficult to regulate. Some governments are preparing for a global financial challenge.
Cryptocurrency is a currency and an asset
Unlike fiat money, cryptocurrencies have no government or central bank backing them. Instead, they are issued on a public ledger called a blockchain. This is a secure and decentralized system that records every transaction. The blockchain also ensures that no one can spend coins they do not own.
Cryptocurrency is a virtual currency that uses advanced coding and encryption to secure transactions. It is a digital asset that is stored in a digital wallet. This type of asset can be used to pay for goods and services, access to services, and as a means of investment.
Unlike fiat money, cryptocurrencies are not legal tender in some countries. However, they are legal in many other countries. There are also a number of legal issues surrounding cryptocurrencies. Countries that prohibit transacting in cryptocurrencies include China, Bolivia, and Ecuador. Others that limit transactions include Vietnam, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia.
Cryptocurrency has advanced at a rapid pace over the last decade. It is often used as a payment system in industries, and is also being accepted by some luxury retailers as a means of payment.
