AKAASHI

- Akaashi is honestly happy you’re just with him

- he doesn’t really mind it if you can’t come to see him play, of course he’d love for you to be there but he totally understands if you can’t, and won’t be destroyed about it

- he loves your support and will always appreciate you for cheering him on (and being his mental support because taking care of Bokuto is life draining and he probably gets about a month taken off of his life everytime Bokuto goes into his emo mode)

- during the match with nekoma, you noticed how the setter on their team was also quite an intelligent and skilled player despite seeming so bored and uninterested in the sport entirely

- he had a hold on Bokuto for a good while and it was impressive how he managed to put Bokuto in a slump so smoothly and discreetly

- after the match, you congratulated fukurodani on their victory, and akaashi thanked you for coming like the gentleman bro is

- “That setter on nekoma was really good— he was so calculating and calm about his strategy to make Bokuto go into a slump!” -you

WOFTFI 2023 Review (+ Arc Thoughts Ish)

as a small intro, ive been getting into smg4. A guilty pleasure almost, but uhhh the smg4 merch looks banger af so uhhhh uhhh (also mr puzzles this was his fault too)

watching the puzzlevision arc is great and im doing it in the order prescribed by the smg4 wiki bc fans know best.

anyways im finished the movie and i want to review this thing because i have Thoughts (spoilers under the cut since idk if anyone in this fandom cares [i dont interact with it at all atm] but i do):

I LOVED IT HAHAHA!!!!

I dont really know much about SMG4’s other arcs and previous versions of this movie (i watched like maybe 3 r64 episodes before this, feel free to flame me for it) but this movie was damn good.

though i havent watched the livestream in which apparently all the decisions were made, i find it so interesting that the fans got to choose how the movie went! I love this idea of experimenting with audience feedback and it’s genuinely made for a fun movie!

Like the few smg4 movies, ive watched prior (western spaghetti and its gotta be perfect), the style of animation is good! Ive read thru yt comments that say this is a step up from what it used to be before and such and im inclined to believe it!

Meme stuff aside, THE RAP SONG WAS SUCH A CERTIFIED BANGER AND WE GOT MEGGY SINGING (Elsie Lovelock, great actor btw) JDKSJEKEN AND MARIO GOT A SINGING VOICE THIS SHIT WAS A GENUINE BANGERRRRR I LOVED ITTTT

The battles were fun and action packed and the whole “spy rizz” meter was a great aspect! If i were a fan back then and i voted, it wouldve been so fun to see whether i chose right or wrong! Great fun!

i like the relationship development of smg3 and 4. Genuinely i love their dynamic a lot and seeing the development even if its just screentime is like enrichment to me (i ship them too now. Getting gay married would solve their problems /silly /hj)

i like how in the end smg3 DOES care for smg4 and crew and moved in closer to them (one criticism: i may be stupid but it took me wayyyy longer than needed to realize smg3 wasnt actively living in the showgrounds before this ? He appeared so often its like he lived there but he lived in that weird ahh starbucks still? Crazy.)

the notebook had a doodle of smg4 and 3 sharing coffee 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺

i also like the mr puzzles foreshadowing here (call it foreshadowing when his face gets revealed for real in this movie). Generally, what ive noticed is that every time mr puzzles related shit happens, its got that stupid music attached to it. A motif. (I cant get that shit out of my head) and how the puzzlevision logo appears too. In this movie it made a glitched appearance and the theme is once again burned into my brain.

Knowing exactly what mr puzzles sounds like, the voice distortion on his voice was cool as fuck. So was that wall break. Crazy shit.

Overall 10/10, will continue watching this arc and eventually ill go backwards in continuity and watch the other arcs (feel free to roast me for this decision but mr puzzles brainrot and i was unable to not think about the puzzle vision parts I DID watch.)

I reblog a lot of art, comics, and memes. I like to interpret canon by analysing specific choices on a timeline based on the end outcome. Basically that means I believe a character is canonically horrible, nice, cute, a killer, a saviour, etc. all simutaneously. If you have a take, I probably have evidence to support it even if I don't like it LMAO

My favourite character is Connor because he (apart from Hank) is the only character with strong internal conflict (and I go feral over characters with internal conflict). I enjoy Rose and Adam's interpersonal conflicts with each other, I love Hank and Connor's interpersonal conflict (probably for the same reasons as everyone else: it's funny af), and I found the relationship development between North and Markus rushed and disappointing.

I don't really hardcore romantic-ship anything, but I enjoy a bit of simarkus, and mainly reed900. Reed900 is so, so horrible that it makes me laugh. Make android-racist kiss the upgraded version of the android he hates most. A well-deserved punishment lmaooooo 💀 Also I love the fanon dynamics it's too good.

I like to ship Hank and Connor as father and son because that's such a vibe to me!!! Most of the time, hankcon makes me uncomfortable because of this, but I'm vibing and it's okay if you like to interpret their relationship the romantic way. (Multiple timeline brain, after all^.) I keep the hankcon hashtag hidden but sometimes I sneak a peak hoping it's a funny comic alskdhskjdhd I used to get jumpscared by hankcon because I interpret them as father and son, but nowadays I look at it and go "ah yes, not My timeline" and travel back through the wormhole whence I came 🥴 I can still appreciate some of the art tho!! Btw I'm chill if you tag my some of my stuff as hankcon I don't care 💅

I like to see the RKs as brothers in one universe, but I don't mind the RK ships in another universe. These ships are like a true neutral for me, but the brothers is preferred :) I think I just like family dynamics lmao

I dislike the main fanon interpretations of Sixty, but I do love the memes of him being a dumbass. I like memes of any character being a dumbass. It makes my dumb ass feel less of a dumb. Also it's funny

I REALLY love meta and analysis. I soak that up like a sponge. I love when people throw essays at me or a ramble comes across my feed. I love it so much. Analyse the symbolism!!! Do it do it!!! I will lick the screen like an RK800 I don't care I am Normal about proper good analysis.

I don't really read much fic and if I say I'm going to read something, give me about 1 business month. (I'm not exaggerating I'm so sorry.) This was a horrible solution but at the time we (me & my best friend) wrote through rp, and I was so bad at it that he had to work around it to use the ideas he wanted to use

She's a meme now that's why she's still around as Kara's awful younger sister

"Why run when you can teleport :D" is the last thing she said to her crush when he told her to run and he got killed immediately after this (he got revived, he was only killed in the heat of the moment)

Also final bit, because of the nature of the story she stopped aging because she got involved in the story and became a Defender (a term I will use more often). So the story at the time spanned over 600 years I think? And she never aged past 14.

🇬🇧 Freya Skye "Lose My Head":

United Kingdom sending two amazing songs the same year? Wow, they are really serious this time. Plus the fact UK is returning to the JESC after so long, this is like them saying "You loved Sam Ryder, right? Well, guess what surprise we have prepared, world! See you again in Yerevan!" after years of them being at the bottom of vibes at the ESC.

And MY GOD. THE SONG. It's not a standard "funky pop" song like one could expect from UK for a JESC. Freya has STYLE. The rhythm, the royal queen set and all. Love the song. And she looks like a real queen. One of the JESC fandom favorites (and I agree with them), and one of my chosen ones to win at this year's ESC!

🇳🇱 Luna "La Festa":

Good and catchy song? Check. A cute voice and a good singer? Check. Something innovative besides the "funky pop" vibes? CHECK. The Netherlands really wanted to send a literal party to Yerevan, with a mix of electronic dance-inducing rhythm that surprises you after the traditional "kids pop" first part, with an add-on of those Greek party-like vibes.

After the (totally undeserved) last place of Ayana with her mix of Japanese and Dutch roots in her song, the Netherlands have a fricking chance to avenge her. And like most JESC fans this year, I'm rooting for her to win the contest! Come on, don't leave Ralf Mackenbach (winner of 2009) alone.

🇲🇰 Lara ft. Jovan & Irina "Životot E Pred Mene":

Let's be honest. I didn't expect North Macedonia to send something that would rival their 2021 entry "Green Forces" so easily. But gosh. Their 2022 song is as catchy AF. Slow-paced, but moving and groovy! (And has a doggie :3)

While it sounds (and the videoclip looks) like your typical song about friendship, it has an extra weight: It's okay to love, but there's plenty of time for it. Why don't just enjoy life the best you can (and while you can) at its best? (Finally a fricking song that I can show my parents to tell them I'm not in love with anyone yet, and it's best to wait). Not into my "greatest" favorites, but I could love them winning or having a Top 5 place at the contest!

Ps. Btw, the song's music gives me vibes of a Mad Rat Dead OST, in a good way. Something you can put in the game as a mod and enjoy it :D

The first thing that comes to mind is something when I was still on DeviantArt, now that was a shitshow in general but some events stuck out. Here’s the one that felt the worst to me. When I got treated like a gatekeeping racist, because I gave constructive creationism about a OC and btw this girl wouldn’t even have probably asked if I never said I was Black before.

She showed me the info and used her a bit with me roleplay wise as a test run. I was being honest, the character felt like a stereotype. Make character whatever you want you though.

I thought everything was cool after that until a bunch of accounts, some we mutually rp’d with sending me note messages saying shit like “Who made you the authority of black people” and stuff like that.

I messaged her asking her what going on, she acted dumb as if she didn’t know but then apologized talking about she overreacted and vented to others. Nah, you went around talking about I said you can’t make black characters, got a mob on me (some that I thought should me as a person better), and you still ignorant of why I criticized the oc anyway. Fuck you.

It was so vitriol, because we actually was close. I Skype’d with this girl, knew a lot about each other, we was gonna get our guardians to have us meet up to Disney. All that gone. Honestly, the relationship was always annoying but I tolerated it to stay friends and gave chances at other times I should’ve put my foot down but that was the last straw.

reading the graphic novel version of the hobbit while sat in a tree near the caravan we were staying in and then later going exploring down the riverbank with my camera (it was like!! this SUPER nice campsite near inverness and i wanna go back there so so bad)

2. if you didn’t have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?

this is genuinely kinda hard because i quite enjoy sleeping and also i waste a good 2 thirds of my awake time as it is- HOWEVER i think i would use it to travel more, and get more stuff done in order to travel even more on top of that too

3. when people come to you for help, what do they usually want help with?

usually just someone to talk to when they’re upset, which i dont mind at all for the most part! though its something i have to be careful with, it’s still nice to know that people trust me enough to be able to do that. people have also! sometimes been coming to me with music questions too which is!!! super neat and i love that a lot

4. what are some small things that make your day better?

mindless but pleasant little interactions with strangers on the street (i actually ended up befriending like 4 of the mums i walked past on my way to school taking their younger kids in the opposite direction and it was lovely), the bf letting me steal the crispiest fries (the only fries worth having) that he gets, and the kids at work being actually kind of good for the duration of an entire lunchtime ahah
