"He's a great personality and I've said this kinda during the year. And we've, you know, I mean we're always—...I was gonna say, "It'd be great if you guys could spend a lot of time with him," but then we spend a lot of time trying to make sure you guys don't spend too much time with our guys, so, there goes—so, forget that! But, he is an incredibly interesting guy. What's great is when he's coming to the bench... if there's something that's broken down, and I'm not sure if he's screaming in Finnish or it's in English, but it is funny as hell! And it's consistent. So, he plays really high-energy level. A lot of times these kinda big, lanky guys are... you don't really think they're moving that fast, but they are! He looks like he's getting across the ice, and, you know, he competes hard. That's what we like the most of him, but he talks at a high-energy level, too, on the bench. And that's great, right? We have some quiet players on our bench, and that's fine, that's who they are. But, those guys like Mikkola, who's got—nobody knows—Well there's four other Finnish guys knowing what he's saying, but nobody else knows what he's saying.

I got these shoes from someone recently but thought they were way too plain looking, so I set out on a quest to customize them with some sharpies and charms and miscellaneous ribbon I had in my craft drawers. Mostly sky themed (clouds, rainbows, rain, stars, etc.) because that's my favorite aesthetic, but I had to include some cat imagery as well, of course lol.

Hey there! Welcome back! It's more than alright! Baking is a good and lovely hobby, and I think Skittles would love nothing more than to join you on your endeavours!

Skittles with an S/O who Likes to Bake

I could honestly see Skittles loving to bake himself. Sure, he might not always have the ingredients for that sort of thing, but when he does, he loves to bake a cake, some cookies, some cupcakes. You name it, he’ll likely make it for you. It’s among his favourite pastime activities since no one ever expects some baked goods from anyone. Loves handing those sweets goods out to anyone willing to eat them, or to anyone who seems like they might need some good cheering up. Ergo he loves you loving to bake. Will always join you when he’s not out and about. And even if he’s not home, he’ll call you and ask you if you could kindly wait for him so that you both can indulge in your hobby together. Despite being such a kind grunt, he’s still fairly strong, so if you can’t stir the dough by yourself then he’ll gladly do it. Since he’s a very chatty grunt you can count on him to make some small talk the entire time. Maybe your conversation will derail into something more proper as well, though. Like the time Hank tried his cupcakes and said they were good! He just loves talking to you and will do so any chance he can get. If you’re not low on flour then he might play around and put some on your face just to mess around with you. Although he loves baking, it should be fun as well, in his eyes. Has probably tried to drink a drop or two of vanilla extract before and wasn’t a big fan. However, when you put your creation in the oven and wait for it to finish, he might ask you for a dance in the kitchen. Skittles thinks it’s very romantic to dance in the kitchen together. Besides, it passes the time and you won’t be leaving the oven out of sight either. He’s not a bad dancer either, he knows a few moves. But it’s really all to just grow closer to you. Once your baked goods are done, he’ll take them out of the oven and let them cool. You will always be the first one to get a bit from them, though. You should be the first one to enjoy what you made together. Afterwards he’ll take a bite as well, but he just really wants to see you light up first before he does. Whether what you made will be handed out or not depends on whether or not you want to keep it for yourself or not. If you’re alright with sharing it, then Skittles would be more than happy to give his siblings a slice of your cake as well. Something this good should be shared with the world.

In between those days there was cake. I spent seven hours baking it and then all of the next day in the er. I don't think you know that. That I landed myself in the hospital. It wasn't really the cake's fault, I just pushed through it to make it for you. Your face when you saw it was priceless. It made it worth it, I think. Everyone's face when they saw it, really. But yours mostly, since, you know, it was for you. That and the way I got a week off school because I made myself worse by pushing through. We weren't even us yet. That change would happen a few weeks later. We were there but we weren't us. Not in the way we became that night you let my tears stain your sweater. But I still spent seven hours baking you a cake. I never knew how to not give my all. We weren't half of what we grew to be and I put myself in the er to make something that would make you happy. That's really my problem, isn't it? I crash too hard. I don't know how to do things half way. I don't know how not to push through an 103 degree fever for someone I love. And that's too much. Or too scary. Or maybe I'm the one who's not worth landing in the emergency room for. Maybe the thought that I would do it is the scary part. I guess this type of devotion is too much. Your cake wasn't even the only cake that took a whole day. I was just out there handing out pieces of myself disguised as baked goods with colorful frosting to people who couldn't recognize what I was doing. Or just didn't care enough for it to matter. All of you broke my heart in your own way. I guess I should've expected you to do it too. Should've kept my guard up because all of it crumbled. Why would we be different? Why wouldn't we hurt each other in ways we can't come back from too? Why did I trust we wouldn't crash apart when it came down to it? It's all we know after all. No sculpted cake or pan of brownies or jar of cookies can save a situation that was never meant to be sweet. Or maybe I was cursing myself by attaching it all to something fleeing. No one stays at the dining table once all there's left are crumbs. I don't know why I expected for you to sit with me in the kitchen while I bake a new one.

LMAO unfortunately they weren’t even intended on ever meeting!!! they were the first three sonic ocs i ever made which was like only in may, n that was before i suddenly got obsessed with makin’ the sol dimension ocs. so now i just have three random-ass ocs that have no connection to anything

NEED to write a yuri on ice fic SO BAD but every time i go to write skating stories i always feel awkward DESPITE BEING A SKATER MYSELF. of all people to write about figure skating IT SHOULD BE ME. but alas. it feels awkward...

oh my gosh, you’re a figure skater?? as someone who absolutely loved ice skating as a kid, but had to stop when our city’s ice rink was converted into a mortuary, that is just SO so cool to me- like, just. woah. skating is really awesome but also really difficult, so yeah, i’m just impressed to be following someone for fandom stuff and then finding out that they do imo one of the coolest sports pretty much ever, pun unintended

Yep! I’ve been skating for several years, although I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a good figure skater, lol. I am a club member, though, I help with the younger kids coaching sessions, and can hold my own on the ice, haha.

I don’t post to much about skating on here, just because the FS community is brutal, but my inner pedant must claw its way out at times 🤷‍♀️
