Dark Maggie really surpasses anything certain fans have ever accused Carol of being.  Is she too far gone?  Who the hell knows?  I think it’s clear that she and Carol are both on a sliding scale of sorts when it comes to being able to compartmentalize shit to survive.  Personally?  I feel like Maggie might have leap-frogged Carol in this episode but it matters none because of the double standards so deeply entrenched in this fandom.  Both women have endured and had to do some horrific things.  It’s not a contest.  But it’s probably going to be turned into a season-long one.  

It’s almost like Kang was like, “Ya’ll bitches think Carol’s dark?  I’ll show you DARK.  Check and mate.”  

Whatever the reasoning, Maggie just got exponentially more interesting to me if not likable.  And before anybody out there comes at me, it’s entirely possible to be on a character’s side in some things and not be all up their ass in love with them, lol.  Like I’m attached to her because she’s family and Glenn loved her.  There’s a loyalty there and she absolutely is justified in her hatred of Negan.  But I’m not going to pretend her shit don’t stink like everybody else’s.  

Speaking of my baby Glenn.  What would he think of this version of Maggie?  I think he would be gutted and heart stricken that events led to her being like this but he’d understand because he’s pure like that.  Don’t mean he’d be A-OK with it all.

I can be pretty complicated when it comes to sex, things do have to be just right or I can snap out the mood so easily. A lot of the time I need added stimulation besides just my husband to be satisfied. When you wrote about picturing different scenarios, it’s like you lifted from my own head because I do that same thing. I’m sorry if this is all TMI, it’s just entirely self indulgent for me too.

note: oh you are evil hahahahaha. i’m sorry if this sucks, i wrote it and edited it the best i could; anymore than this and i’ll have my second mental breakdown of the day (tmi? hahaha). without further ado, enjoooy :D

Feyre didn’t understand what Rhysand was so pissed about. They’d just been having a pleasant dinner in their favorite hole in the wall restaurant, celebrating her finishing her first painting after a long hiatus. The ambiance had been lovely, the conversation flowing and the laughter endless. It was all so perfect that she’d pretended not to notice the new waiter’s obvious attempts at flirting with her.

Rhysand had progressively grown more and more restless throughout the evening, up until the waiter executed his finishing move.

His number on a napkin.

She’d let out a forced laugh, reminding herself that this was their favorite restaurant and she could take a couple unwanted advances if it meant keeping this little piece of heaven they both shared.

Two seconds later, Rhys had stormed off the restaurant.

She’d hurriedly followed him, Rita shooing her away and telling her to pay later. She’d found him in the car, and he’d sped off the moment the door was closed.

An awkward ride later, they were in front of her apartment complex.

She got off, thinking he would just drive off, but he climbed off as well.

He joined her on the sidewalk, and finally he spoke.

“So… will you call him?”

She crossed her arms defensively. “And what if I do?”

Maybe if this had been a year earlier, she wouldn’t have noticed the small dent in his cheek where he must be unconsciously biting it. Maybe then she would have believed him to be as impassive as he pretended to be.

“Rhys…” she hesitated to voice the sneaking suspicion she’d been rejecting the entire drive home. “Are you jealous?”

He didn’t answer.

“Rhys,” her exasperation was evident in her voice. “We’re just… friends.”

“Friends?”

She merely nodded.

“Friends.”

He huffed a bitter laugh, aggressively running his hand through his hair so it stuck up in every direction.

An image came to her mind, completely unbidden.

Rhysand’s face between her legs, a self-satisfied smile on his lips, a mischievous look in his eyes and an utter mess of hair on his head.

She blinked the image away, staring at the current Rhysand under the streetlight in front of her house.

The same streetlight they’d made out against more times than she could count.

His jaw was set, his muscles were taut, his hands were shaking with barely repressed fury.

She had never seen Rhys so angry.

“Sure.” He shrugged. “We’re friends,” he said the word with so much derision that she flinched. Something like hurt flashed through his eyes, so quickly she almost thought she’d imagined it. “Friends who fuck each other every other night, who wake up tangled in each other’s arms, who kiss each other good morning and good night, who –“

“That was the agreement,” Feyre interrupted, her blood starting to boil. “We agreed on this from day one, Rhysand. Just sex.”

“The agreement,” he repeated, his eyes sparking. “Because the high and mighty Feyre Archeron would never break the rules she set for herself. You’re just so perfect, aren’t you?”

Feyre had never been so angry, either.

“The definition of an agreement, Rhysand darling,” she practically spat the endearment in his face, “is that both people agreed. You were as much part of that decision as me. It’s what you wanted, so don’t go blaming your change of heart on me.”

He put his hands in his pockets, nodding vehemently. “Yes. Yes. You’re right. I can’t blame you for my own foolishness, after all. I should’ve known being fuck buddies with the girl I love would only lead to disaster.”

Feyre’s heart sputtered to a stop. “Love?”

“Yes, love.” He threw his arms up. “I am so fucking in love with you; I don’t even know what to do with myself anymore. You’re on my mind 24/7. I look forward to seeing you all day long and I miss you the moment you’re out the door. Why? Does this terrify you, Feyre darling? Is the notion of having me love you too much to fathom?”

Feyre’s world tilted on its axis.

No, no, no. This was all wrong. She could feel a wave of nausea and hysterical laughter bubbling up her throat. Rhysand was looking at her expectantly, but she couldn’t speak, couldn’t even think -

The silence stretched between them, long and taut.

All the anger seemed to drain out of him at once. His face went blank, his shoulders slumped and though he tried to summon his usual arrogant self, the overall impression remained flat. In contrast to the Rhys who always shone brighter than the stars themselves, he seemed… dim.

Feyre’s throat was thick as she watched him turn away from her, his steps heavy as he lumbered to his car. He climbed in and put the keys in the ignition.

She waited for him to leave but he didn’t.

His gaze was fixed straight ahead, resolutely avoiding her.

And yet she couldn’t look away.

Many long heartbeats later, his eyes finally met hers.

Something foreign and strange bloomed in her chest.

Her heart began an unfamiliar dance to music only it could hear.

She willed her feet to move, to take her away, away, away from this life altering moment, from these new emotions that were threatening to swallow her whole.

Eventually, they did.

She strode to the doors of her building, Rhys’s gaze a burning brand on her back.

She didn’t stop until she was in her apartment, the door locked, the lights on.

Only then did the engine down on the street come to life, the wind wafting in through the open windows carrying its sound long after it was gone.

i’m liking tfatws, the second episode was veryyy intense imo but WANDAVISION IS SO GOOD😭 i knew it was going to be my favorite from the really old trailer but it’s really good and i promise it’s not just sitcoms, girl especially cuz you’ll have all the episodes already out- we were having to wait every week😭 BUT ITS SO GOOD I PROMISE HDJSHDJSH lmao reading this i was like “i- the episodes aren’t an hour long” but i feel that, it’s hard for me to watch tfatws bc they are an hour long and i’m like 😐 but wandavision episodes are less than 30mins bc I KID YOU NOT they have the damn 10 MINUTE CREDITS DHDJSJ no i don’t think we’ve talked about this b4 lol but it all depends on the series for me. i binged love island uk in less than a week bc i was so invested and LITERALLY LOVE IT but uh those episodes are like an hour and a half, but say i was binging tfatws (it’s so hard to type that ohmigosh) i honestly would not be able to do it bc of the intensity (you may be like what intensity but if you’ve seen episode 2 by the time you’re reading this.......... isaiah and the scene afterwards is all i have to say, esp me being black it was so tough :/)

OMG THE ROMANTIC AND SEXUAL STUFF IS THE BEST PART ABOUT THE SIMS DIDLDKJIkdkj i kind of miss how in the sims 3 they would be making out basically lying on top of each other if they were on a bed— but in sims 4 when they‘re sitting next to each other and everything that‘s definitely hot too 😌😭 or with hot tubs dkdkdk how one sim climbs on the other sim‘s lap before they woohoo (i used to make them skinny dip in the hot tub and then make out and woohoo so they’re like naked on top of each other even if you can‘t see anything- en e waysss)

Dkdkdkdj so @ Rindfleischet.. blah bla. so it‘s basically just loads of individual words put together/connected and that‘s a really big part of german. so yesterday i had an online Einführungsveranstaltung for uni (like it was a zoom meeting where they just talked about general stuff about the uni and i was really anxious before, idk why, but it turned out absolutely fine so) and that words consists of the two words Einführung (introduction) and Veranstaltung (event) which are also two individual words but you can make a new word (Einführungsveranstaltung, so in english that‘s basically “introduction event“ lmao) by combining those two words. there are obviously some rules like you can‘t just combine random words in a random order but you can basically make infinite words (technically). for example (i feel like i‘m teaching a class just skip this if you don’t care 🙃🙃🙃djdjdkdlns)

for example i could say Einführungsveranstaltungsteilnehmer (which is not underlined with red by tumblr because it is a grammatically correct compound word (i think that‘s what they‘re called?)) which is the words introduction + event + participant, so that word just means “participant of an introductory event“ but instead it‘s one word? i hope that makes sense? dkdkkdksks i mean it makes sense in german but idk if it makes sense to you cause idk if i‘m explaining it very well lmao,

so to answer your question LEJDKSKJ: it‘s really common to have long words in german, words that are just word+ word+ word + word made into one long word. obv rindfleischetikettierung..... is a very extreme example and it‘s normally just 2-4 words made into one! So yup i think that comes mostly from german and talking german and growing up here and going to school here and everything dmdfnsksx

Okay so skdjdjdjddhhddhdhjsk... I used to watch all of my series in German (like H2O) bc obviously they were on german tv so they were german- and i knew that most of these actors i saw on tv were american and i was always SO fascinated that they all learned german for this show??? Like I actually thought they were the people‘s real voices and that these English and American actors were learning german so they could re-record the whole ass show and do everything in german dkdkdldjdjjd... i swear I thought that until I was like 14 omg. And then the first time that I watched H2O in the original version i was sooo confused about their accents because to me all actors who spoke english were American?? You know what’s the best thing about train? Or any other public transports, for that matter?

The fact that bunch of strangers with a whole different purposes, personalities and goals being packed in one place, hope that it can helps them, in a way, to reaches their ‘final destinations’—Some will go home, some will go to work, some will go far because life has been a bitch to them.

And for Sander Driesen, it’ll be the latter. For almost two years, whenever he feels extremely annoyed or uncomfortable at home, he decides to go out of town for a day or two. It’s not a cheap new habit but at least, he can finally feels better after a while.

It’s 7 PM and his hands are still sketching on certain someone’s face for almost half an hour. That certain someone is sitting not far from him; a guy around his age with brown hair, sleepy face, thin but kissable lips, a wireless headphone circling around his neck which a little too big in Sander’s eyes.

After finishing his sketches, he writes a note behind it :

To the boy with a big headphone sitting not too far from me,

Hi. Good evening. Hope you’re doing fine because I saw that your eyes are tired. OK, that might be a bit weird and stalker-like but I swear to my Persian cat at home that it wasn’t my intention and never will be. You see, I accidentally saw your figure when you got on the train at Station A and when my eyes caught your face, well, something about it makes me want to sketch instantly. Again, I’m sorry if I make you feel very uncomfortable but because I’m too shy to talk to you or even giving any signs, that’s why I do this instead—hope you don’t mind. But if you DO mind, feel free to burn, tore or leave this note anywhere and move on with your life. No pressure at all. But I just want you to ask if we can be friends? When the train stops at Station B, Sander quickly gathers his things and asks the person beside him.

“Excuse me, ma’am?”

The friendly-looking middle-aged woman turns her head and smiles, “yes, son?”

“Could you please give this note to the brunette boy over there?”

“The one with brown jacket?”

Sander’s face lits up, “exactly!”

“I see you been staring at him for quite a while,” the lady says, still smiling like looking at his own son. “Of course, I’ll give it to him after this.”

“Thank you so much, ma’am! Thank you! I should go now. Goodbye!”

“Goodbye.”

As Sander finally comes down the train, he sees the lady already giving his note to the brunette boy and... he’s instantly looking outside where the lady has pointed.

The boy’s face is looking confused but Sander swears, even in the dim of light, he sees a slightest smile on that face. Sander also smiles in return, waves his hand and turns his back. Maybe the boy doesn’t want to be his friend, maybe he’ll think of him as a freak but well, Sander doesn’t feel a bit of regret for he finally has been brave enough to conveyed his feelings.

And it’s more than enough.

Hey Emma, I saw on your Twitter that you had an incident with your diva cup (I'm sorry I can't help but laugh but also glad nothing more serious happened). I was just wondering whether you would be comfortable sharing your experience with it? I've been considering investing in a menstrual cup but there's so many options. Have you tried diff brands or encountered any issues with using one?? No pressure to respond ofc xx

Hahaha no worries! What’s worse about this diva cup incident is that this is actually the second time it’s happened.....the first time, I remembered I was boiling it after all the water had evaporated so it was kinda melted to the pot a little, but it wasn’t TOO long after. This time was ridiculous and I can’t believe something serious didn’t happen. It had basically turned partially to ash. 😬

Those incidents aside, my experience overall with using them has been pretty good! I was really resistant at first, but eventually I bought a Diva Cup because I was tired of paying for so many tampons (and pads, though I use those more rarely) and that was the brand that a friend of mine was using. It comes with a tiny lil fabric bag to store it in and I believe it has two different sizes, one for people who haven’t given birth and one for people who have. I’ve never tried any other brand, but I’m not opposed to it. I don’t have any real reason to switch, but I assume most brands probably work similarly.

I generally use the diva cup for as much of my period as I can, but sometimes I start to get irritated after a while (I don’t think this is the norm, but my body tends to be very sensitive), so if I find that happening, I will generally switch back to using tampons for the remainder of my period. I also generally won’t use it if my period is heavy enough that I would need to empty it at work or somewhere else with public restrooms just because I prefer to rinse it off fully when I empty it before reinserting, but in a pinch, you definitely could just dump it out in the toilet and clean the edges with toilet paper without ever leaving the stall, so it’s not a huge concern. I also generally only need to empty it more frequently than once every eight hours or so on the first couple of days of my period when it’s heaviest. Generally speaking, I’m able to wear it safely and without leakage for longer than pads or tampons.

I would definitely recommend practicing putting it in and testing it while you’re at home and awake (with a pad/panty liner just in case) just to make sure that you aren’t experiencing any leaks that you’ll wake up to or have to deal with when you’re in public. I also still like to have extra tampons or pads around when I can just in case.

If you’re nervous about trying it, I would be like me and try a kind of hybrid model, even if it’s only until you’re fully comfortable using a cup. I use the cup probably 75-85 percent of the time, but I keep other supplies around just in case I ever feel uncomfortable or am headed somewhere that I don’t feel fully comfortable emptying and rinsing the cup off. If that works for you, you can keep at it, or you can switch to using the cup full time when you’re comfortable.

Pros (imo):

Saves money

More sustainable

Can be kept in longer without worrying about your health or leakage.

Cons (according to me):

Def getting up close and personal with your menstrual blood when you empty the cup and rinse it out

Sometimes causes minor irritation (again, probably not experienced by most people)

Requires some practice to get it in correctly to prevent leaks.

Can be difficult to deal with public bathrooms if you want to rinse it out, but it’s nbd if you just have to dump it

When boiling in water to sanitize fully between menstrual cycles, can be forgotten and ruined (again....probably this is just me aljkfdjkds)

Even though there are more cons than pros listed here, in my view, the pros definitely outweigh the cons and the cons are more just minor inconveniences. There are a lot of inconveniences with pads and tampons too, so I don’t see myself switching back to using those products full time.

I love your album analyses, what inspired you to make them?

First of all, thank you! I am so glad there are people out there picking up what I’m putting down, as they say. I work pretty hard on these and put a lot of thought into them, so it means a lot to know they are being appreciated.

As for what inspired them…I mean, thinking through the sorts of stuff I talk about on here is pretty much something I do involuntarily, hahaha. My mind goes on tangents, connects things in funny ways, and I come to conclusions about stuff. I just naturally think about art and interpretation of art. When I was in high school, I took a course on (visual) art history and just fell in love with it because it was exactly what my brain was always good at. I ended up writing 20+ versions of the final paper assignment on every single suggested topic, because I had so many thoughts about all the art we looked at and wanted to get them all out there! So the actual “work” is in turning those ideas into verbal form (as a non-verbal thinker) and refining and clarifying what I’m thinking about into something that’s actually palatable and approachable for other people. I try to juggle making them accessible, by explaining background on things in reasonable detail, but also interesting to fairly enfranchised listeners by focusing on more obscure tracks. 

Really I’ve always been extremely interested in music…and beyond just “interested” in some kind of academic sense, it really just eats at my soul and communicates with me on this deeply personal, emotional level that nothing else really reaches for me. Listening to music makes me feel like I’m the real me, and what I’m experiencing is the real life, or that that experience is “the point” of it all. Some of my earliest memories from being a toddler are the first times I ever heard “Sweet Dreams” and “Tainted Love,” and just being completely blown away and shaken up by them. They filled me with this sense of pleasure, dread, and confusion…but also a bottomless longing for more where they came from. I saw them as constituting some “world” that I desperately wanted to enter and become a part of. It was very much like seeing a reflection of my innermost soul, something I started to very heavily “identify” with from my literal earliest memories.

For a long time I’ve kind of been ashamed of that, or hidden from it. Mostly, it stems from the fact that there were elements of my upbringing that weren’t that great. My parents got divorced when I was about three, and my mom has never been a huge part of my life–that’s not necessarily super concerning to me, though, as my dad is mostly a great parent and since I was so young, I kind of always internalized it as “normal,” and I never stressed much about it. But the real problem was when my dad started seeing someone when I was eleven, and she was particularly bad news for both of us. Of course, you never really know what makes someone abuse others, so I won’t try to diagnose her with narcissism or anything else. It suffices to say that she went out of her way to do me harm and keep me from just about anything that made me happy. Eventually, this got to the point of not having food or a bed…but physical torture, you’re able to get over more easily than emotional torture. So I put the weight back on in foster care, but being kept from music and constantly belittled and maligned over my tastes and my level of engagement with it, that sort of always stuck with me on some level. 

So since that time in my life, I’ve always been self-loathing about my love for music, because I internalized all of that pain, and all the times I was told I was being immature, my tastes would change and I’d find New Wave cringy someday, all of that. I was really afraid to dig deeper and spend more time listening and thinking about it, because I never let go of that fear that someone would take it away from me. Even though she also belittled me for my same-sex attraction and gender nonconformity, too, there’s a whole cultural narrative around that that made it easy for me to dismiss that and start living as queer and not giving a shit about it. Whereas with the music stuff, my experience was so strange and singular that it was, and is, hard for me to get past it sometimes. It’s still emotionally easier for me to talk about stuff like Kraftwerk and Ultravox that I wasn’t into yet during that time of my life, as opposed to the bands I really liked as a preteen, like Pet Shop Boys and Numan.

So, a big reason why I started writing Passionate Reply is that I wanted the ritual of putting myself out there on a daily basis, and letting myself get emotional over music and gush over what I really like. It’s healing for me because I’ve spent so much time not allowing myself to be myself, and on here I get to genuinely express my excitement and enthusiasm for music! It feels phenomenal. The only thing better than that feeling is knowing that other people are getting something out of my exercise, as well. 

I guess the other component that sort of inspired me, and why I started doing this in this particular moment, is that I managed to score that ticket to see Midge Ure this past Tuesday, roughly a month ago. Ever since I bought it, I’d been jumping up and down with excitement, wanting to grab people in the street and scream at them about Midge Ure! It really made me realize just how important music was and is to me, because truly nothing else had ever made me so excited in my whole life. There’s just nothing that matters so much to me, or makes me so happy, in the entire world! So that really put into perspective how much I was hurting myself by being self-deprecating about music and its place in my life. It really spurred me to take it more seriously and start doing this! And now that the concert came and went, and I had quite frankly one of, if not the, most powerful and meaningful experiences of my whole life, that’s made me even more galvanized to do this.

Thanks again for asking, sorry for the long and possibly TMI response, but that is how my blog came to be and why I do what I do. Glad you enjoy my work.

How old were you when you had your first crush? The first crush I had that wasn’t a celebrity or a teacher was when I was 12. If you're a girl, how old were you when you started your period? It was a month after I turned 10. By that time I was just entering Grade 4 and when we were asked who had already gotten theirs, only a handful of hands shot up haha. I was an early bird for sure. What is your worst period story? Pretty obvious TMI warning here. Happened last December. I was visiting a photo studio to test if they were going to be suitable for my college batch’s grad shoot and unfortunately my period started in the middle of the trip. Even more unfortunately the trip was all the way in fucking BINANGONAN, which meant I couldn’t have access to napkins for the entire drive. I had to cross my legs real tight to avoid any leakage but at the time we got to the studio, my crotch area was soaked nonetheless. I had to ask for napkins from the studio staff, but thank god they were the nicest people ever and didn’t hesitate to hand me one. Does anyone else know who your first crush was besides you? Gabie knows. I think she’s the only one who knows, but I also think Pia asked me at one point too, so maybe her as well. What was your most embarrassing moment? I have at least one everyday.

What are your worst cramps like? Leg cramps that wake me up at 4 AM, without a doubt. Those always end me in tears no matter how old I am. What is the most physically painful thing you have ever experienced? Either my foot infection back in ‘09 or the toothache I had a few months back. I had no idea a TOOTH could send me crying almost every night or wake me up in the middle of the night just from being so painful. Oh and the time I ripped my ear piercing off. Depends on my mood/general self.  Sometimes either one can kinda irritate me actually hahaha--like too loud is obvious but if the music is too soft and just kind of a distant murmur I’m like turN IT UP OR TURN IT OFF????  I’m an irritable sunflower everyone is surprised.

20: Where do you go when you're sad?

To bed?  Hahaha depends on the kind of sad.  If it’s like a violent immediate circumstantial sad I’ll usually shut myself away to deal with it.  If it’s a more drawn-out problem I take a lot of long walks.  I used to try to be around people whose presences I found comforting, but that coping strategy has never ended particularly well.

21: How long does it take you to shower?

I like to take a lot of short showers usually--sometimes just in and out in a couple of minutes bc it’s refreshing hahaha.  Seldom more than 15 mins or so though.

22: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

I am The Most Lazy Human in the morning, so I try to make life as easy as possible so I won’t be a slovenly disaster person.  If I’m preparing for something special maybe half an hour, but usually ten minutes tops.
